Erionda tried hard not to turn and stare at the Dovaa Ismiril. Why was he asking her to continue to help him? With research non the less. "Fine but whatever notes you take down, I want a copy off." Her own books didn't seem to have these creatures in them. Perhaps her father had never run into them? And if that was the case then she certainly needed to add whatever information she could find on them to her research books.
Sending her irritation at the fighting in the skies, it wasn't much longer before Lanzecki and Uassae eventually came back to the ground with their heads lowered. "Are you both done?"
Lanzecki nodded as Uassae yawned with boredom.
"Good. Now, the snowstorm hasn't started yet to cover these tracks. Uassae, please take to the skies and follow them. I want to know where they lead."
With a rumbling chirp Uassae did just that, his strange whiskers shifted as he took to the air. Lanzecki looked back towards Ismiril before following after Uassae. He had been highly offended by the large distance given him by the Dovaa and was starting to not like him.
"Ismiril. They will fly ahead and follow the tracks. Come." The hybrid cringed inside as she spoke. She felt like she was speaking to a child. And that just didn't seem to sit right with her.

Ismiril smiled at her, though she wouldn't see it since her back was already turned. She was gruff and yet, in an odd way, it was almost maternal. Or at least that's how he chose to view it. "I don't mind, I'm a scholar, well, scribe at the moment, but it's my job to pass on as much knowledge as possible to anyone who would want it." He replied, following after her. He was glad that she hadn't taken to the sky as Miri would have been stuck looking for her shadow on the ground, because he wasn't about to get blinded by the sun as he tried to track her.
As it was he was barely avoiding being snow blinded.
The pup scampered around his feet as he walked, alternating between running up to nose the back of Rio's legs and trying to trip Miri as he walked. "Do you do this often? Have your-" He paused, searching for a word that wasn't bonded, because he didn't think they were bonded to her. The ones that he knew were bonded never spoke like those two had. "-family scout ahead and herd things to you?"

Erionda wasn't sure if Ismiril was probing for a weakness, but after remembering what she had seen earlier she relaxed. "No, often I hunt alone. I've hunted alone my entire life. Uassae just acts as a sharper vision and a better nose. Lanzecki has better hearing. And normally I let them stay home it's much to cold in Aisko to keep them out long. But I'm out trying to learn about these creatures. The best way to learn is with their help. "
Motioning with her chin towards the sky Erionda held her hand up as she stopped walked. "They found a cave not far ahead. I'm not really sure it's a good idea to proceed from here. With that many I might end up killing them all if they attacked. The mother will attack."
The hybrid turned to regard the male dovaa for the first time. He sounded alot like what she could remember her father being like. Shaking her head she looked back to the skies as her two companions returned to her side once again.

"If I wasn't afraid I'd bond accidentally to one, I wouldn't mind having a khehora babysit me." Miri admitted, "My senses might be sharp, but theirs are so much better. Plus they're as intelligent as us two legged folk so you're nearly guaranteed a good conversation."
The pup yipped and bounded through the snow to circle around Rio's feet, before sitting down and staring up at her. It was most likely wondering why they'd stopped.
"But I agree, if there's a cave ahead with a litter, the mother will most likely attack to try and drive us off. Is it possible to circle around and look elsewhere?" Miri asked as he stopped beside the hybrid. "I don't like being this close, because where there is a mother, there is a father and possibly more, if they are pack oriented."
He shot her a worried look, "I have no doubt that you can handle yourself in a fight, but me? I'd more than likely become a burden. Fire only does so much against ice, and I doubt I could scare them off, not if the usual pack numbers are here." He adjusted the belt around his waist, the large bags strapped to his side barely made a sound as they rubbed against his clothing. He had a feeling that his ink had frozen, but wasn't worried. It was one of the reasons why he'd chosen Firani as his clan. The utility of being a fire elemental out weighted the other choices, especially once he realized what sort of lifestyle he would be leading from then on out.
It was far too handy to do the little things, lighting candles, torches, heating water, regulating his body temp....
"..Can you ask them to describe what the cave looks like, without them having to get closer? How about how many there are? What sort of skeletons can they see?"

A rather offended look crossed the hybrids face. Just because Uassae had been looking after her since she was very small did not mean that he was her 'babysitter'. "Uassae is not my babysitter. He is my companion. I may not look it but I'm quite capable of handling myself on this dead frozen land." She gave him a hard stern look, her lips pursing into a thin line. As he continued speaking he only seemed to confuse her more. And her desire to continue further conversations about her were waxing thinner the longer he spoke.
The yipping from the pup turned her attention downward. The pains in her chest echoed through her back and shoulders. Her features softened considerably as she moved to kneel down in the snow. Her bare hand reaching out to stroke the pup in a comforting fashion. "Here." Erionda produced a piece of jerky like meat to which she offered the small one.
The mention of asking her companions about the cave was nearly blindsiding. In the distraction of the Ikiri Erionda had forgotten that Miri was there. But it was the questions that grated most. "Even if I ask, they can't describe with words what you are looking for. I would need parchment and a quill in order to draw out what they show me. For I see in pictures what they see, not in words."
Rising to her feet the hybrid looked towards her home. "I have the materials at home. Not here."
