Emily got the text early enough to not prepare for much else, instead jumping out a window (Her Dad didn't approve of the risk of being a senshi, and she didn't want to argue with him about seeing a friend), and slid to the ground from the sill, glad to be on the first story as she moved to meet Andrew, henshin pen in her pocket. A real henshin pen too, not some shitty fountain pen, but a sign she could change the nightmares, protect her Daddy, and maybe prevent others from getting hurt or worse. Like Andrew. Andrew already suffered enough that while Emily wouldn't keep him in a room, she would gladly fight to keep him safe and somewhat happy, and so, pen hidden safely where she could grab it if needed, she strolled to meet him with a large grin on her face. She'd worried until he texted - the Negaverse had taken him away as a prisoner and she was still intending to make many of them pay in blood , but tonight was not one such night. Tonight, no, she had an Andrew to check on, or elicon - was he powered? She didn't even know sher didn't care, he was safe and staying that way this time. This time, she could protect, and anyone who said otherwise would burn.

Getting patched up was a rough adventure in itself. Andrew wasn't sure how to parse all of the revelations and new information in his head. He wasn't sure how to heal, either from physical wounds or ones he didn't know where even there.
There was a past he didn't remember. There were people he'd hurt. There were people who wanted to hurt him. And had. And still did.

After some time healing from his injuries, the overall lingering feeling about his capture and torture had been mostly humiliation. Humiliation for being submissive and the things he'd said, for being weak, for believing in his conditioning. Andrew had cried since his rescue. A lot. And the only thing keeping him from hiding inside Lydia's apartment forever was the fact it had started to feel like a prison since his return. He didn't want to stay, but he didn't want to go, either.

Emily would be a good person to see, he had thought. And he would need to be alone, either.

 He powered up.

As Helicon, it was safer. He could sense people coming near him, use magic, and just generally be more aware of his surroundings. He pulled his uniform hood up over his head and the large scarf over his lower face. He moved with caution, and seemed nervous even as he spotted Emily and raised a hand to her in greeting.

"I'm glad you're okay..." He said in a small voice once he was closer.

"I only took a header through glass." emily smiled fantly. "Someone caught me. Knight, good man. Friend of mine." No need to mention how she knew Kells, a-nope. "I'm glad you're okay." She said, tone getting softer in concern. "I was scared they would kill you." No need to worry him with a henshin pen. No need to upset him, scare him, or- make him panic. Now was making sure he was safe. Er. And they could do things together. She didn't know what yet but she could. Work out something. She had o idea ehat.

			            "Oh. Good."
Helicon shifted where he stood, seeming awkward for even being out. He hated this, being outside and being exposed. He hated being indoors as well, and when the places you could be were a matter of what made you less sick, that was a mounting frustration of displacement he was having trouble coping with.

He hooked one finger on his scarf, which rested against his face just under his nose.

"T-they... mostly just. Interrogated us. For a week. They killed some. I've been in the h-hospital, I guess. Dehydration, blood loss, infection. M-my shoulder's not gr--... not great."

He rolled it a little, as if to just test it.

"Did you know?" He asked, trying not to let his voice catch on the urge to cry again, "That I used to be one of them?"

Emily gave a low, long, soft hiss and quickly moved to keep an arm around him, frowning. They'd hurt her friend. Her person - one of them. Whomever did it was getting an angry, violent senshi visit once she knew, if ever, but she managed to resist the urge to rage, and listened, pausing before taking his hand. "Yeah." And her voice cracked, but she smiled, as if reassuring. "Yeah, you showed me before - you came back. We had a kerfluffle and you said it was eat or get eaten." A slow pause, but she rubbed his hands. "An' you know what? It was bad. But I won't - details. You're back. We - are still friends, and I'm just glad you're safe. And gonna stay safe this time, even if I have to burn them all. I promise, I swear to God, I'm not mad and I don't care. You're my friend and that's what matters." She wanted to say she'd protect him, but without a oen how would he believe her? And she wasn't sure he'd like her being a senshi. He'd probably worry.

His mouth and all of its twisting and grimacing was hidden by the scarf over his face, but something in his eyes seemed to sink.
He came back, she said. It was okay, she said.

She was still his friend. There was that. But that general had mentioned other friends. People he abandoned and left behind. Could he live with the fact he had apparently traded one set of friends for the other?

Was this so much better being a hunted traitor who had let himself be tortured and humiliated?

It was hard not to sink into thoughts of Johnny, or feeling like he'd never be safe. Of thinking he was irredeemable trash who had done the things they did to him in that funhouse to someone else and didn't have the decency to remember. She was still here, she was still his friend, and to avoid crying he had to give in to the other lingering urge and grab her in an awkward hug.

His shoulder still didn't like him putting too much strain on it.

Emily hugged him back tightly, burying her face in one shoulder and trying in some way to reassure and let him know he was safe. Safe, and welcome - a friend and wanted. "It's gonna be okay." She murmured. "It is. I promise. I promise. Not gonna let them hurt you again. Not gonna repeat, it won't it - won't ." And she nuzzled in close and shut her eyes, trying to find some form of reassurance, before swallowing. "They'd have to kill me first. 'n' they won't, I'm ready for next time. I promise not to be weak next time." Saior Elpis would tear them apart.

"Y-you're not weak," Helicon protested. It wasn't fair to take that kind of blame just because he had planned poorly and they both got into a sticky situation at the ball. "I mean... there's... I just... ha-have to be smarter, is all. I guess."
Ha had been, he reflected, stupidly naive to let the lies slid by and keep on existing in his happy little bubble, just to have it popped under the weight of his own past transgressions.

"You... You're right, though. It won't happen again."

Yeah, and she reached in her pocket, flicking out the henshin pen neatly and twirled it in her fingers. "Next time they do something they'll have a face full of my fist." And a large chunk of magic metal.

He stopped and looked at her reaching into her pocket, and what she extracted made him take a step back.
It was a flash back to a weird night he had pushed back to the recesses of his mind. Lydia handing one of those to Hvergelmir. It meant something important. "What's that?"

"Uhm... Well, it means I can do a thing now." Emily coughed, looking a bit awkward before she henshined, coughing a bit and grateful to the fact they were dominantly out of sight as she fidgeted. Sailor Elpis rocked on her heels, suddenly looking very much a chastised girl. "Uhm. I. Well. This is a thing now." Just like using English to communicate was a thing, however it felt far less awkward at the moment.
