Kadyrelite was exhausted on all levels. She'd been stumbling home with no thought of stealth. She should have registered the aura of an Order fighter before the girl had gotten a drop on her. Instead, she stood there dumbly, staring at the senshi with slightly dazed eyes.

My, my. One wonders what this little bit of meat must think right now.

Kadyrelite's internally residing youma sounded amused. And one some level, the lieutenant could appreciate the little monster's levity. She knew that with her bloodshot eyes, cut and scabbed wrist, dried blood staining her mouth and collar and the additional tiny cuts left across her breast that she had to make for a pretty awful sight.

But she was tired and she hurt. She didn't want to have to deal with a senshi looking for a fight on top of things.

Too bad, so sad, sweet Kadyrelite. You are an officer of the Dark Kingdom. You will uphold our honor against this snippet.

Face contorting into a snarl at this purely internal bit of scolding, Kadyrelite glared at the senshi. Oh yeah, this would be a fair fight.

Who cares about fair? You will fight or Strytha will provide a... sting.

Shut up, you, Kadyrelite thought at the little beast. With a sigh, she focused on the senshi and wished that the senshi could have picked a better time to be meddlesome. Like say, after her cracked ribcage had had a chance to heal.

With a voice raspy and raw from screaming, Kadyrelite managed to laugh in the girl's face, her disgust with all things senshi made plain.

"As if an alien b***h like you has any better right to be here."

Such insolence! the indignant tone to Strytha's voice matched the rising annoyance Kadyrelite found as her jacket was seized. Making assumptions and parading around as if she's morally superior...

Alien b***h, Kadyrelite agreed silently. Then, her face becoming a mask of cold indifference, she stared unblinking into the senshi's face before looking down at the hand grasping her bolero. Then, she reached up with her injured hand and grabbed the senshi's wrist, squeezing a little in warning.

"Cute. F minus in the shade department though, you might want to work on that, honey. Funny thing though, last I checked, I was heading home to bandage myself up and I've never personally destroyed or killed anyone."

She tightened her fingers a little more and felt Strytha twitch impatiently within her. As much as she hated the thought of trying to fight in her present condition, she also didn't feel like giving this girl a pass. Not after those smirking words.

"I suggest you let go," Kadyrelite said in a low, icy voice. Then, to her shock she heard a strange hissing echo of Strytha's voice as it joined her own. "Now."

I won't help you fight this whelp. But her insults are too much to bear silently, came the purely internal reply to her surprise. Even injured you are still an officer of the Dark Kingdom. And that one needs to learn respect.

This one needs to ******** off, Kadyrelite amended silently. And then, moving faster than she would have expected of herself, she brought her foot up and then slammed it down on the senshi's toes. It wasn't the most impressive of moves, but it was a start.

Honey, you don't know how right you are on that score, Kadyrelite thought sourly. Not that she was a monster, but she sure as s**t had one living under her skin at the moment.

Strytha loves you too, worthless one.

Rather than answer, the lieutenant allowed herself a momentary thrill of triumph as she managed to hurt the senshi. The fist flying for her stomach connected and Kadyrelite was smart enough to not try to resist it. As long as her ribs weren't walloped...

Grunting in pain as she doubled over, Kadyrelite snarled and bulled forward, hoping to knock the senshi down. And if that didn't work, well, her hands were already grasping for whatever they could hold: skirt, leg, hair if she could reach that far up.

If this alien cow wanted to brawl, well, at this point, Kadyrelite was happy to oblige. Stupid, judgemental b***h!

Oh, you goddamn, ******** cow... Kadyrelite hissed in pain as the senshi's knees connected with her ribs. Releasing her grip, she fell to the side and rolled a little out of the way, tears streaming silently down her face as she clutched at her ribcage. For a moment, the pain whited out her vision and it was only Strytha's prodding that got her moving again.

Up little idiot! Do you wish to make yourself so easy a target?

I wouldn't be a target if you hadn't broken my ribs, you awful little ********, she managed to roll up to her knees and knelt unsteadily, watching the senshi with wary eyes as she tried her best to breathe shallowly without passing out. She couldn't win with brute force. She was going to have to do something sneaky.

Finally, you speak sense.

Keeping one arm wrapped around her ribs, she moved the other to brace against the cold ground, ostensibly for balance but more because she wanted to find a rock or something similar. And to her delight, her scrabbling fingers had found a bit of broken glass to curl around. It wasn't heavy, but it would do the job she needed.

Moving slowly as if she'd been rendered utterly incapacitated by the senshi, she pulled her arm up. And then, with a speed that the youma within approved whole-heartedly of, she whipped her arm out and slung the broken glass, aiming for the senshi's pretty little face.

I can't take much more, she thought. I might need to uphold honor and all that s**t, but I can't do it if I'm knocked out by a damned senshi. She waited, feeling Strytha mulling this over before the youma conceded to her point.

Do what damage you can and then retreat. Not yet though. She will expect such a move.

Grinning as the glass drew blood, Kadyrelite couldn't help but hiss in glee and whisper, "Gotcha, space cow."

All she wanted to do was go home and sleep. But she couldn't just break and run. Not yet. In her exhaustion, the lieutenant failed to notice the senshi's posture. Frankly, she was too busy enjoying how horrified the little snot looked.

When the kick came, it caught Kadyrelite in the hip and she staggered and dropped. She heard the senshi whisper something and then... the senshi was gone.

From inside, she heard and felt Strytha sigh, Well, we will call this a victory. The senshi ran first and you did fight as well as you were able. Rest a moment and then go home. There are no other auras to trouble the journey.

Agreeing silently, Kadyrelite sat a moment before pushing herself to her feet. She was going to go home and sleep for a damn month.

Get there first, child.

Snorting a little, Kadyrelite clung to the shadows and tottered home.
