Sebastian was out of breath as he jogged up to the cave entrance, entering as quickly as he could. Unfortunately, he hadn’t spotted the tail quickly enough as now, he was once again lost in a heinous catacomb of spiraling caves. The only difference was that this was had a soft illumination to it… were the stones glowing? It was… kind of eerie now that he considered it.
"Blackjack? Blackjack where did you go?" He called as he proceeded forward, trying to keep track of his surroundings. Luckily, the soft glow gave him some visibility. He’d be able to recognize a few landmarks as he went. It also looked like there had been miners in her at some point; once in a while he’d pass by some abandoned worker’s equipment.
As he walked, calling for his pokemon, the sound of movement caught his ears. "IS someone there?" Sebastian remarked curiously, turning towards the source of the noise, eyes narrowing a bit. "Blackjack?"
”Machop!” The pokemon announced, confirming to Sebastian that no, it was not his lost pokemon as well as that he now had a wild pokemon encounter on his hands.

Wow. That was just a bit tough. As the Machop retreated back into the caves, Sebastian pulled a few potions out, ushering Naps over to him to heal him up. The poor Quilava squeaked at the potion stung a bit, shaking his head and giving a little squeak roar of appreciation at the treatment. Sebastian just smiled, giving the pokemon a pat on the head.
"Come on Naps, we need to find Blackjack." He might as well leave the pokemon out; there were bound to be others wandering around in the dark. As they walked, Sebastian calling for Blackjack while Naps gave his own little squeaky calls, the encountered what looked to be a dead end blocked by a massive boulder. Sebastian frowned, stepping closer to the mass to see if maybe he could climb over it before Naps gave a squeak of caution, causing his trainer to pause and look back curiously.
"What’s the matte-" He started to ask when suddenly the supposed boulder shifted, a Ryhorn shaking off debris that had apparently landed on it, before eyeing both Sebastian and Naps with a less than satisfied gaze.

The Ryhorn roared and stumbled away in defeat. If Sebastian hadn’t known any better, he would’ve sworn the pokemon was actually cursing them under its breath. He shook his head, returning his attention to Naps who had, once again, taken a bit of a blow. Sebastian frowned, digging through his bags in search of some more potions. He was running low on them to be honest; he’d need to go back to town and restock before going any further.
With disappointed sigh, he shook the final of his potion bottles. Scratch that; he was completely out at the moment. He looked to Naps with a worried expression. They still hadn’t found Blackjack yet, but without supplies it was dangerous to proceed any further. This was a bit of a conundrum. Sebastian shut his eyes, considering his options; either press forward, treading carefully to avoid any further fights, or leave and hope that eventually the Houndoom came back on his own. But these caves were filled with rather strong pokemon… and he was fairly certain even Blackjack would have trouble after one to many.
Sebastian didn’t have a choice. He had to keep going.
"Come on Naps. Let’s keep going." He remarked with as easy a tone as he could muster. It wasn’t exactly wise to carry on when he and his pokemon were at a disadvantage but he didn’t have much of a choice. Naps gave a squeak of encouragement, seeming to understand the situation and continuing on alongside his trainer.
They walked for a while, weaving in and out of different tunnels. It was beginning to look hopeless until the sound of sniffing and barking rang through the tunnels. "Blackjack?" He called. It was silent for a moment before suddenly the familiar muzzle of the Houndoom appeared from a darker end of the tunnel, eyeing both Sebastian and Naps curiously. The trainer busted into a grin, immediately running over to check the pokemon.
"There you are! You had me worrie-" He blinked, noticing what looked like blood on the Houndoom’s muzzle. "Oh geez, are you hurt?" And just when he was out of potions too. The dog pokemon didn’t seem to acknowledge the question, instead turning around and trotting back over to some far off area. Sebastian frowned in concern, following after Blackjack to the spot. As he approached he spotted a little mass huddled near something… else. It was crying rather softly. What…
The skull mask of the Cubone whipped around at the sound of the approaching company, causing them to stop in their tracks. Oh… well that made sense. Sebastian knew about Cubone’s all too well… Mr. Fuji had taken care of one that’d been orphaned by the antics of Team Rocket so long ago. This was Kalos though. So… what had happened…
Before he could get a good look the little thing hopped to its feet, giving a soft roar that was a mix of sorrow and rage, immediately charging for the group in retaliation for their intrusion. Sebastian had no desire to hurt the thing, but Naps was startled and unleashed a torrent of flames before his trainer could stop him. The little thing took the blow with a cry, shaking off the whisps of flame before swatting its tail at Naps. Before things could get any more heated, Sebastian pulled out of the two great balls he had, chucking it down at the Cubone. Hopefully it would capture; it was the only immediate way he could think of to stop the thing from being harmed any farther.

The ball shook once, twice and then a third time before falling still. Sebastian gave a sigh of relief, running a hand through his hair. That was certainly more commotion then he expected. Blackjack approached the ball, picking it up in his mouth and bringing it over with a sort of expectant look. Sebastian blinked, taking the pokeball from the Houndoom and eyeing it a moment.
"You want me… to let it out?" Blackjack gave a grunt in response, eyeing the ball. Sebastian frowned, giving a little nod before re-releasing the newly caught Cubone. The little pokemon gave a cry, frantically glancing around his little bone in between his paws. It was terribly small now that Sebastian thought about it. Houndoom gave a grunt, lowering his muzzle so that his and the Cubone’s eyes met, causing the little creature to calm a bit. It blinked, waddling itself around a bit to look first at Naps and then at Sebastian.
"Cu…?" Sebastian knelt down, offering a soft smile to the pokemon. It shrank away just a bit, keeping his attention on the Houndoom primarily. The skull on is’s head was cracked and had some odd markings right on the front, along with what looked to be fairly recently dried blood. This was concerning. "I’m sorry I had to catch you. I didn’t want you getting hurt is all."
"Cu… cubone." The pokemon remarked quietly, averting his gaze. Without a second thought it turned, beginning to toddle away down the cave for some reason. Blackjack gave a little bark to Sebastian and Naps as though indicating they follow, the trainer frowning but nodding in agreement.

Hopefully this Cubone wasn’t leading them into some kind of cave trap because Sebastian really wasn’t prepared for something like that. He didn’t have potions and his best bet against the pokemon in this place was already hurt and even if Cubone could fight, he was hurt as well.
Luckily enough, Cubone seemed to know where he was going, leading the crew carefully through the glowing tunnels. The mining equipment diminished as they went; clearly they were heading for less traveled area.

The glow of the tunnels was actually becoming dimmer as they went, giving Sebastian some concern. Cubone continued toddling along, leading the way, glancing back once in a while to ensure that he was still being followed. What did he want to show them? Was it something important?
Sebastian pondered the possibilities as they walked. He was just a tad bit curious why a Cubone would be in the caves of all place. Was that normal? He’d never seen Cubone’s outside of his town really… they tended to wander around the outskirts, sometimes finding their way into the Pokemon Tower for shelter when none was available. He’d never expected to see them elsewhere…

Eventually they came to what looked like the remnants of a little den. The glow was so dim now that Sebastian could barely make out what he was looking at. Blackjack was sniffing away at the area, body seeming to shudder in a grimace at the smells. Sebastian wrinkled his nose a bit as well; something was… off about the area.
Cubone just lingered back, hugging his bone club tightly, eyes focused on studying the surrounding area. He looked… sad, about being here. There was no telling exactly what was going on in this place though. Sebastian glanced back at Naps, who was still conscious. "Naps, could I get a little light please?" The Quilava seemed a bit uneased by the request but gave a squeak in confirmation, the flames on his back erupting once more to provide proper illumination.

- Sebastian’s face went grim at the sight. There really weren’t words for what he was seeing, but it suddenly made sense why Cubone had led them here in the first place. He gave a cough to clear his throat, averting his eyes and instead looking back to the little pokemon. The poor thing.
"I’m sorry, little guy." He offered sympathetically, dropping down to his knees in front of the pokemon once more. The Cubone just kept his gaze off to the side, little body tensing as he tried to keep a brave front. Sebastian gave a half smile, raising a hand and gently placing it on the pokemon’s head. "It’ll be okay." He remarked somberly. The Cubone blinked, lowering his guard a bit and adjusting to look at Sebastian. He seemed to sense the sincerity in the man’s voice at least… whether he trusted him or not was a different manner.
With a reassuring smile, he stood back up, eyeing the scene a little more before reaching into his bag and producing his spade. Work was never really done, was it?

Eventually everything was tidied up as best as Sebastian could manage. This was after all a cave and he only had so much material to work with. Still he patted the last of the dirt in place, shuffling a bit of rocks around for a makeshift marker.
Cubone watched intently, having relaxed considerably as he did. He didn’t really understand what was going on or what the strange man with the pretzel braid was doing, but it seemed… proper? Eventually he finished, and Sebastian rose wiping off his hands. He looked back at Blackjack and then Naps with a nod, before looking over at Cubone.
"There. All done." He gave a little tilt of his head. "You can look if you like." Cubone shuffled in place a moment, seeming to consider the offer. He still wasn’t sure what was going on…

Cubone eventually shuffled forward, eyeing the curious mound. This random guy certainly had a talent for this, he could tell. He stared at it a moment, giving a little huff before un-clutching his little bone and setting it down on top. Maybe he could find another one? He wanted to leave this one here though as a sort of reminded. Just in case she came back looking for him; she’d know he was here.
He turned, looking back up at Sebastian. ”Cubone…” It squeaked slightly, eliciting another small smile. "Do you want to come with us?" He asked curiously. The Cubone blinked, head tilting to the side slightly, the skull appearing to shift even more to indicate how over-sized it seemed to be. A moment or so and the Cubone toddled over to Blackjack, flailing his little arms in some kind of indication. Blackjack seemed to give the pokemon a quizzical look before lying down to the ground, allowing the little pokemon to climb up on his back. The small pokemon climbed up, giving a little “Cu!” of appreciation at apparently gaining a free ride.
Well it seemed for better or for worse, they had gained a new team mate. "Alright then, let’s get out of here." Sebastian remarked, replacing his shovel back in his bag, head gesturing for Blackjack to lead the way. It’d be a while before he recognized where they were to properly get out of the cave.

Arriving at the cave Simon thanked and returned Noivern before heading into the cave. Much like its name Glittering Cave had lots of shiny ore and glowing moss that reflected light like crazy. The first Pokemon that appeared was a Lunatone, but Simon already had one in his family. If it was a Solrock Simon would consider catching it but for now he sent out Mankey to get ready to fight.

This was it, healing Mankey up they discovered the first fighting Pokemon that they would face. Like Mankey it was a first stage Pokemon, Machop. Getting each other ready Simon ordered for Mankey to focus up and knock the Machop out. After the strike the Machop started to focus on his own but Mankey wouldn't let the attack go through.

The next Pokemon that appeared was a wild Kangaskhan whose baby in the pouch was fussy and annoyed. This fed through to the mother who when confronted by Mankey roared and readied to attack. The baby Pokemon glared at Mankey using the move leer to lower his defense but once again this wouldn't matter as Mankey launched into a double strike of focus blasts.

The next Pokemon that swooped down at them was "Woobat the bat Pokemon. Its habitat is dark forests and caves. It emits ultrasonic waves from its nose to learn about its surroundings. The heart-shaped mark left on a body after a Woobat has been attached to it is said to bring good fortune." The flying Pokemon was strong against fighting so Simon called out for Mankey to go ahead and use strength. The flying Pokemon used gust which was super effective but he was fast enough to take it down before it could strike again.
