Sezarra was near the border with Oba tracking what she was positive were Janarim tracks. She was very happy to be out and about still in Jauhar of course, but her father had basically let her free. She was quite proud of this new acheivement it had taken years to pry his talons out of her. Her mother seemed to be less hovery which was a relief as it would be harder to weasel away from two parents.
She wondered if the janarim she was tracking was one of the Oban mounts, her old friend or a new one that had gotten loose. That would be kinda cool if it was a new one, then maybe she would get to keep it.
For now she smiled into the wind as it filtered through her long hair, she sighed in pure bliss. She had wanted this for so long and she finally had it, her freedom. She could go wherever she wanted now.

BarAmal looked back at the scaly creature he had behind him it wasn’t to long ago that he had found it battling a crystal spider in the jungles and since he had helped it on a whim wondering if it had an owner nearby as it had a bag on it. Since then it had followed him and he was starting to get accustomed to it, thought the first few nights he had stayed awake and watched it form a tree. Still after a few days he figured it wasn’t going to kill him in his sleep so traveling with it following him became a bit less disconcerting. Now he had made it to the Oban boarder and was skirting it quietly learning and doing a bit of learning about the terrain and plants before he made his choice if he wanted to venture further or not into it. There was sand of course like his own home of Tale, but the heat was a whole other beast.

Sezarra capped a ridge and saw a famililiar broad tan colored back, she grinned, joy suffusing her heart. It was exactly like finding an old friend, even if this particular friend had four legs and extra extra large canines. She whistled to get the janarims attention. It looked like he had found his master, wether it was the old or new one she couldn't know for sure. But since he wasn't Oban, she was pretty sure he was new. SH efound such bonds fascinating, it was a testament to Janarim intelligence that they were capable of such bonding feats, she wondered again what her first would be. Scurrying down the slope she made sure Valdor could see her, hopefully his companion wasn't hostile, with that bow the the multitude of muscles he could turn her into a pincushion easily, a mistake her father had once made with her mother, thankfully he was fast. "Hey there!" She called out, her bubbly, forward personality coming out to the fore. "I'm sorry if I startled you, I haven't seen your friend here for a while, and I wanted to say hello." She paused a little way away, she knew better then to walk right up to him, but just barely.

At the whistle BarAmal turned dropping low in instinct. To his surprise it was a shifter girl moving down toward him. He realized he had an arrow knocked and the bow in a quick draw position. The beast had stopped as well and stood waiting. Since the beast hadn’t been hostile there was no reason to assume the girl was. Slowly he relaxed himself and when the girl started to talk to the beast like an old friend he was a bit confused but finally put his arrow back into the quiver. Was the girl insane perhaps, a threat, unlikely. He watched for a moment as the beast sniffed the air before moving up in front of the girl and doing the strangest thing BarAmal had ever seen. It raised its head and rubbed the top of the girl’s head with its jaw. Raising a brow he looked between the earthling and beast wondering what this was all about. “I take it you know him?” BarAmal tried to think of all the information he had about the beast. A slip of hide in the side bag had Valdor and the beast had responded to it. BarAmal had thought it the name of the creatures owner but wasn’t so sure. Perhaps this girl would know.
The little one had grown finally. Valdor finished his greeting and took a breath exhaling in her face approving that she wasn’t so small now, before hearing his master speak and turned to face him so he could be given instruction.

Seze giggled delightedly as her old friend greeted her in his odd but playful manner. She patted his face in delight. "Why yes, I know him. He is a most dear friend who was once ever so helpful when I was younger. It is my belief that he lost his Oban master in the war or the travel over..or something he is very well trained." She smiled up at the hybrid. "I see you are taking excellent care of him, I must say that I am delighted he found such a wonderful companion." She paused for a minute to think, "You haven't seen any more janarim around have you? I've been kinda looking around, although I'm pretty sure the tracks I saw belong to him, since they are so large." "Oh dear, my manners, my name is Sezarra, aspiring Beast Charmer at your service." She curtsied before him.

Watching the two BarAmal was surprised how gentle the large beast was. BarAmal had gotten near the beast but he had never been as affectionate as this girl was being. “I don’t know about how well trained he is just that he does take care of himself and isn’t threatening toward me at all.” BarAmal tilted his head just abit. This little girl was a beast charmer. “BarAmal. Archer. I’ve seen quite a few tracks but I don’t know what kind of tracks they are or how old.”
He moved up next to Valdor and gently placed a hand on the creature’s back looking at him. Trained in the war? Did that mean this beast could actually be ridden? It was big enough, but BarAmal had been leery about the idea of jumping on the back of a large creature that could turn its head and just snap at him. “You don’t seem very old.” He looked at the woman hoping she wouldn’t take offense, but how could this creature be helpful and just how old was she?
Valdor chuffed but stayed still. It seemed the little member of his lounge was able to converse with his master and the two did not appear hostile at all. That was good. He would hate to have to fight one of them to protect the other.

He would hate to have to fight one of them to protect the other. Seze grinned and stood by Valdor she turned her back to his face and ran her hand down his front leg. She hoped that with his training it would have included a leg pick up to check for foot damage, she was reasonably sure that Valdor was at least as smart as her as he had trained her quite quickly how to ride him. This way she could double check what kind of footprints Valdor would make and its size, since the ground they were on was hard. "Oh no I'm not really, just a prentice, but Valdor really helped me with my confidence a while back, him being so obliging after all." She scurred around to his front and bowed gracefully, hopefully getting across to him that she wanted to mount. She didn't know how to ask otherwise. He was such a woderful beast. Bar was very lucky that he had become Valdor's bonded a part of the lounge. The biggest part of the lounge. "He is really quite intelligent, probably smarter then most people, the trick is to figure out the commands and hes smart enough to try and help with it. Arn't you boy?" She askeed the janarim, absolute joy radiating from every part of her body.

Valdor grunted but did as commanded lifting his leg while BarAmal watched in fascination. He knew nothing of this creature that had been following him around and yet this slip of a girl was handling the beast with ease! There was something almost off-putting and yet inspiring about it. Watching Valdor kneel so she could get up BarAmal had to ask. “So then if you already know how to handle him and know how smart he is why didn’t you choose to keep him yourself?” He moved to the side looking up at her riding the janarim. He had seen her do it with such ease and a small part of him wanted to try it himself, but he couldn’t do anything to detract from that bright smile she had at the moment. He was also surprised the beast was so calm. If he was it’s ‘master’ shouldn’t taking orders from another bother it at all.
Remaining still until otherwise ordered Valdor stood at attention with the now not so little one on his back. He was tempted to look for the little white pest but refrained. His master seemed to have no difficulty with the presence of the small female and thus Valdor was exceptionally pleased thinking his choice of lounge even when she was small was compatible with his new master’s choice of earthling group. He liked this new master more and more though he did not yet give proper commands. Valdor was sure he could be trained as the young female had.

"Well, when you bond with a familiar both of you have that choice, I would have welcomed him but my mother, well not so much, Dad too probably for that matter." She peered down at him and held out her arm, "Up?" "Then too when I met Valdor the first time, I was knee high to a poscuta and I'm thinking that maybe his former master may have been male, and trained in battle, so at the time he was more of a large, wonderful jungle jim, he needed more from his master then I could give him." Her heart sang with joy that she had found her friend, who had interesting tastes in friends himself. This man had lovely silver hair like her parents but he was a lovely dark shade of brown. The effects were rather striking. "Now Valdor taught me if you want to move forward or change direct press your feet on the side you want him to go. I see him as hunky dory for the most part because he has never shown much aggression at all toward me, but I imagine if someone he cared about was in trouble that he would be a great force of reckoning." She shivered. "On the plus side you will never have to worry about being pounced in camp by someone else."

Taking her arm BarAmal did mount feeling a bit uneasy being on top of something that could crush him and eat him for a meal. He had seen Valdor eat before since the janarim had done its own hunting for as long as it had followed him. “That’s quite young to just go prancing up to some strange janarim and hoping he’s docile enough to not want to take a bite of you.” It seemed more than a bit reckless to his mind. More over wouldn’t her parents not want her near a death trap of teeth and claws? BarAmal had no children of his own so he really couldn’t criticize the choices of others, but this seemed a bit worrisome.
Not having much of a place to hold while on Valdor’s back he was currently gripping behind him on the plates of the creature’s natural armor. The other option he considered was the waist of the woman in front of him but he didn’t want to give her a reason to be upset with him and given the fact he hardly knew her it seemed like it might be reason enough to get mad at him. Her hair was infront of him bouncing just a bit while she gave him instructions. Leaning to the side just a bit he ended up squeezing Valdor’s side with his legs making the beast start forward at an easy lope. This was new and unexpected to BarAmal so he clung on for dear life while trying not to look panicked as the girl in front of him seemed to be in perfect ease with the situation. “For the few nights I was more worried about him trying to eat me. It’s not like he came with instructions and with him following me for reason I can see it was more than a bit unnerving. “

"Well my father says I'm a bit brash, I'm inclined to believe him, but you don't become a beast charmer by hiding in your house, and well Valdor was just so beautiful." Kinda like the young man sitting behind her. Very handsome, he suited Valdor well in her opinion. "Dad used to follow me around quite a bit out of worry for my safety, it wasn't his fault I was a bit sneakier then he was and I had Thorvin my radaku with me. I think he is rodent hunting at the moment." She said glancing around for her pale familiar. "I found him and Dad's radaku during the war, they had fled the area of Neued. I think Dad almost swallowed his tongue when he found me playing with them. But they didn't want to eat me either..maybe I smell bad, could be the soap I use I suppose." She prattled on her legs keeping her firmly on the janarims back, she was strong from riding Thorvin and Valdor was nice and wide making it easier.
"Hmm I suppose they don't. Did he ever growl at you? Bare his teeth more then they are? Those are pretty universal for predation or territoriality." The thought never did occur to her to look back and see what exactly the poor man was holding onto while they moved. She assumed he was still astride as his voice came from behind her ear. It was a pleasant voice, not too high and smooth. She decided she liked it.
"Have you ridden any familiars before?" she asked.

“A bit rash seems an understatement.” BarAmal decided not to comment on her perception of beauty because he rather thought Valdor was an imposing figure bordering on scary while the shifter before him was someone who could well be considered rather beautiful. Though it was clear she was rather young. “A radaku seems like that would take some concern from your father I suppose. Still my hair would have fallen out where I your father trying to keep up with you I suppose. He instinctively looked around trying to catch a glance of the radaku and hoped that it and Valdor didn’t fight one another. The last thing he wanted was to end up in combat on this creature’s back. He gave a non committal noise about her poor father just finding her playing with them. He could well imagine the male’s horror. His hands gripped the hide of Valdor a bit tighter. The ride wasn’t to uncomfortable but he was clearly not familiar with the process of riding a beast like this one. The fact his new eager and chatty guide was so familiar and talkative made BarAmal worry just a bit hoping she wasn’t the kind to have ended up growing into a bandit and even now leading to a trap of sorts. “Well he did a few times the first few nights he followed me whenever I was stoking the fire… actually I think he was growling more at the fire because now that I think about it the fire was sparking at me during each time. “ He balanced at the thought of ridding like this often. “No. This is a bit new to me.”

Seze leaned back hoping to slow Valdor to a stop, she accidentaly brushed against the man behind her but it couldn't be helped there wasn't much room on a running janarim. She hoped she wouldn't unseat him.
"Okay if your nervous he will sense it," She turned on Valdors back to face him put her hands on his shoulders "Breathe deep, you are safe, if you feel confident so will he. So breath my friend." She demonstrated and relaxed until she was nearly boneless, if Valdor shook at this moment she would plop right off onto her butt. It was important that he relax, she knew that once he did once he accepted Valdor they would have the most magical of connections and she was so eager to watch the look on his face when he realized that.
She touched the hands that were clenching the armor platting, hoping they would relax too, "And you may hold on to me if you wish, it might be more comfortable then the stress you put on your arms and his armor by doing that."
"He is very protective, one of his most endearing characteristics," she patted him fondly.

The small amount of contact against his chest sent shivers up his spine from her hair tickling his chest. Trying not to laugh he couldn’t help but smile. Still Valdor slowed to a stop which likely saved BarAmal from falling off. The smile slid off to one of surprise when the girl just turned and held onto him making him tense up instantly.
As she demonstrated relaxing and breathing he did try to mimic it but he couldn’t get quite as relaxed as she could. The touch at his hands made him look at Valdor curiously. “Hurt his armor?” He was surprised thinking that anything he could do would actually hurt this beast. After all the creature had stood claw to fang against a crystal spider. Granted there was some help from BarAmal’s arrows but still the idea he could hurt such a ferocious beast with just his hands by holding the plates wrong was a bit.. unsettling. He shifted his position and tenitively grabbed a hold of her waist ready to pull off or move if she gave any sign of being uncomfortable. “Is this ok?” He couldn’t stop a blush from deepening his already dark skin.

"I'm not sure that it would hurt his armor persay but I think it might not be all that comfortable, like pulling up on a fingernail maybe. It just a guess, since he can't really tell us, just a suspicion I have." She felt strong arms wrap around her and her heart started to race...interesting..maybe she had been out in the sun too long, ah well. "Thats better," it might be a little easier for them to fall off but Seze was pretty sure she had a good grip with her legs, if Bar did the same then they would be okay." She couldn't see the blush on the boy behind her, no doubt if she had she would figure out why her heart was racing. Right now all she could see was Valdor and the freedom that Valdor represented, it helped that Bar was nice and warm behind her. If she relaxed much more they would both slide off so she concentrated on squeezing tight. In any case this was arguably the most fun passtime ever. Riding a janarim with a friend no less. Thorvin chose this moment to pop out of the jungle, hopping above the grass so he could see where they were. Hop, hop, hop. Seze giggled at the sight. "Thats my radaku, poor thing, I remember being short like that.'
