I'm trying to slim down/lose weight/gain muscle because I'm actually moving to Japan this year! I'd love to be able to shop in their regular stores so that's the main reason, but the other reason is because I've always loved gymnastics type stuff and me and my friends attempt to do partner acrobatics! I'm so weak I can't do much tho xO
I also love the feeling of a good workout ~~after you've been working out regularly~~~ because then you aren't tired, you are just energized! When I couch potato the whole week I'm so unproductive and sluggish it's horrible sad
What's your health story?

I've always cared somewhat about my health and adopting a better lifestyle has been ongoing for me. Gave up drugs first then smoking and junk food. Cut back on a lot of stuff over the years. And tried to eat more fruits and veg. I love hiking and skiing. Any outdoor activity actually. Motivation is hard though. Its easier if you have someone to work out with I think.

I do stay healthy - but, this includes my 20 piece chicken nugget orders from McDonalds with a large Vanilla milk shake on the side for my WoW all nighters. I go to the gym when it passes my mind; just stopped doing Cardio and I'm going back to hitting the punching bag. I play basketball and benchpress now, I come up with alot of workouts and stretch often. If you have seen Muy Thai, the style has a side kick using the shin that I'm urdging myself to get. I got it today and just left early to get better splits and go back at it soon. I have my Icecream weeks or ehm Months where I mix bowls of Frozen yogurt and Bluebell together, I drink tea often also. I can keep on going here, I don't have a workout partner. Also, I have a Yoga TextBook that I do look threw. No job so I do not get to go outdorrs to Rockclimb or Dive or swim.

I'm not perfect on eating well 100% of the time either xD I have such a sweet tooth, I have to actually have certain snacks around the house otherwise I'll go straight to the store to buy stuff for brownies xD I actually read an article recently that explained perfectly the cardio vs weight training argument. Basically cardio slims you down and boots your metabolism for 1-2 hours afterward depending on how long your workout was, and weight training will boost it up to 36 hours afterwards and having muscle will make your body remember to not store fat and stuff. My gym is a class based, hard core 1 hour workout program thing that is great but unfortunately I don't have a workout buddy to go there with so I don't go often...I'm thinking about switching to my friends gym (my old gym--its amazing!) again just cuz I need that workout buddy. SPLITS! ahh that's another goal, obviously with acrobatic stuff I wanna be flexible. I'm pretty stretchy naturally so it doesn't take me much to be able to get halfway there, but I never stretch everyday which is the key for doing the splits.. also stretching every day is healthy and can boost your metabolism too ^^

Sounds to me like you go to a cross fit, those are geared more on a conditioning side it won't give you things that you can go get at a gym like nice full breast, straight back, variety of people to hang out with ect. Well I don't go to any but it doesn't mean I don't want to- Capital MMA and Elite Fitness catches my eye solely for the schools head which is "Gracy". I do cadio, weight lifting and then some and it's not just for a feel good kinda mood or a clear head; it kinda allows me to just eat some meat and beable to maintain a pretty complexion. Cadio for the cardiovascular exercise, like I wish I'd just stay on a machine and condition me with an open breathing mouth kinda stuff - weight lifting is cool, I get to sit there and just hangout while making myself tremble, the implications are nice ones.

Cadio for the cardiovascular exercise, like I wish I'd just stay on a machine and condition me with an open breathing mouth kinda stuff - weight lifting is cool, I get to sit there and just hangout while making myself tremble, the implications are nice ones. It's not really general or a bad reason and I didn't say I only want to go for a good body....I said it makes me feel really good afterwards as in boosts energy levels, I want to be able to do the splits and other acrobatic type things to do with my friends, and overall just have a healthy lifestyle where walking up steps doesn't wind me...also talking about breasts is a bit inappropriate but since we're on the topic, working out shrinks them. Especially if you are overweight, and lose a lot of weight, they turn into skin flabs. That's what happened to a couple of my friends. In other news, I've lost a few more pounds ^.^ vday was a temporary setback cuz I made my husband a cake and we feasted on that and sushi but I felt so tired and bloated it was awful haha. Unfortunately it's been so cold (-2 degrees F) I didn't wanna go grocery shopping today so I'm out of veggies and I'm hungry naooo but I can have my hubby bring me home some leftovers! (he works at a 5 star restaurant)

So, with the on-topic/off-topic thing going on; Let me ask your opinions. What's better? - Handstand push-ups or Bench-pressing.
Here is the supplied amount of information I can give. At La Fitness you may find (within the free weights area) multiple bench pressing set-ups located with respected weight racks. Here is your informative part Next to those are angled, up-right set-ups similar to the mentioned benching set-up.
My assumption is the target is for muscles found in the back regions, activated by stretches such as bridges and work-out motions like curls.
Opinions of females and males wanted!!!
