A bit ominous at first glance, the meeting cavern is a place still claimed vastly by nature, and expansive enough to fit each and every Initiative member and more. You recognize it as where the conference you attended when you first got to the base was held. Roots poke out from the uppermost corners of the hall, and it smells strongly of earth. It's used mainly for group meetings and other functions that require more space, but it also doubles as a conference room for planning and strategizing. Large wheeled, moveable tables are currently pressed to the sides of the room, with cabinets and various unlocked chests scattered between them.

When not in use, the large, dark wooden doors are generally kept open in case someone needs some table space, but find them closed and steer clear: interrupting an important meeting between the higher ups without good cause is ill advised. It can be a nice, quiet place to rest or work otherwise, and is perfect for tasks that require a little extra light to endeavor by.

HOW TO PLAY

Teams can roll (1d6) to search for clues and expend a stamina point, either in the same location or in two different locations, using the form below. All trolls must search the same room as their teammates during each individual session. Please double check that you're in correct room before rolling.

TEAM NAME
Team Members:
Your Roll: (edit in)
Current Stamina: starting with 2/2

Once you've rolled, you can check the chart (see spoiler) for your discovery. If you've landed a clue roll, your clue will be PMed to you at the end of the day. Please do not share clues in a public setting, but be sure to hang onto all of them and share them privately with your group!

You are free to respond to the mini-prompts you receive in this thread as well as roleplay. Landing on an NPC roll will trigger a short walk-by, which could give you even more hints, and will be posted in the room thread it was activated in. It can also be reacted to via RP, and other teams who rolled that day in the same location can witness it. Keep your eyes peeled and remember, the more you RP, the more you can search!

Reaching 200 words of RP per teammate in the ORP or any LOCATION thread will grant each team member an extra stamina (1 extra per location/orp for a maximum of 7 total throughout the entire game). Please quote the mule when each team member has met the requirement in any given thread. You may continue to RP in any room thread even after your rolls are complete. Additionally, at any given time during the week of gameplay, your Team Leader may quote the mule and grant your entire team 1 extra stamina, but only once.

Each day a mule post will be done in each location thread declaring the start of the next day. Your teams stamina fully recharges, and the prompt encounters in a thread may change.

The last day to roll is the 18th!

MEETING CAVERN DISCOVERIES

If you rolled a 1...
Flipping open the lid of a chest, you rummage through the contents before pulling out an old photo album. You flip through the faded pages of unfamiliar faces, although they all wore the same hooded cloaks you were all too familiar with. You return the book gently, certain it must have been important to someone.

If you rolled a 2...
For some reason or another, you find yourself drawn to a stick of softly lit candles like a moth. It's sort of memorizing watching the wax melt, or maybe you're just really bored.

If you rolled a 3...
Looks like you found something... (Please quote the mule to receive your clue PM at the end of the day.)

If you rolled a 4...
You shuffle through some cabinets, running your hand through a drawer full of files. You feel something tacky cling around your fingers, and pull back, hand covered in cobwebs. When was the last time someone dusted in here?!

If you rolled a 5...
Despite fiddling with a file cabinet in the corner for several minutes, you couldn't get the bottom drawer open. You give it a kick of frustration, and someone nearby points out that you need to completely close the top drawer before other will open. Oops...

If you rolled a 6...
Looks like you found something... (Please quote the mule to receive your clue PM at the end of the day.)

Team ******** Members: Zeffer, Aprife, Tete
Your Roll: 3 (CHOCOLAAAAATE)
Current Stamina: 2-1=1

The cavernous room in which the meeting had taken place seemed as good a place as any to start their shake down. Once the teams had begun to disperse, Zeffer slid out of his seat to begin poking around. "Do you think we should mostly be focusing on other trolls?" He wondered aloud, snooping over to the cabinets to take a look. Could there be any physical clues around that could point them in the right direction? He'd wanted to start questioning the two hoods who'd been with Akko, but they had vanished down the tunnels again when the meeting ended. It was hard to imagine anyone leaving anything incriminating just lying around, but you never knew!

He scuffed his claws over a shelf containing some dusty looking tomes, idley reading the titles on them until he came to one that was suspiciously different from the rest. Lighter in color, less dirty, no title on its binding. Zeffer bit his tongue as his heart raced for a moment. It was just like in the movies, where a secret passage was hidden by an equally secret lever! He reached up to give the thing a yank, and was startled when it came tumbling out instead of activating the door mechanism. Flipping it open, his face lit up at the hidden surprise. "HEY GUYS, I FOUND SOMETHING." His voice echoed against the walls as he showed off his prize, seeming pleased over the fact that he'd faked them out for a split second.

You're stopped by an older orangeblooded woman, who gives you a firm smile in greeting... yet something about it seems anything but welcoming. "My name is Errade Etturi. I run the Intelligence Department, so if you have any questions about anything, feel free to ask." Her gaze trails to each member of your group slowly, as if sizing up each individual. "Most of us left are in the Intel Department, or at least used to be. We stayed behind to run things from ground control when the vast majority of our forces... well, y'know." She gestured loosely upwards, referring the the sudden demise of the majority of adult trolls just outside Alternia's atmosphere, both of rebels and royalists alike. "So I've been in the Initiative awhile. Don't be shy!" She gives you another seemingly wry smile, before apologizing that she actually needed to run off to a meeting right now and slipped off.

There were many things Muerte Perist had to say. Graciously, he had chosen to remain quiet, even after the room was emptied save for a few stragglers; trolls that otherwise had no importance to him and never would. Christ, what was he saying? It wasn't as if the two miserable creatures he was stranded with were lifeforms deserving of his time either.

Still, he was here, and here he would remain. For as much as he wanted to leave, the cave was a better alternative to the desert outside, and he hadn't the willpower nor the energy to desire trekking through that bullshit again. He'd be dumping sand out of his boots for weeks and he was sure he could feel some lose gravel in his hair and—

And now Zeffer was shrieking about something. Surprise ******** when it turned out to be absolutely nothing, the facetious blueblood waving around a—was that a chocolate bar?

Why on Alternia was there a article of candy hidden away on a bookshelf? Given the rather cool temperature of the caverns, he supposed at least it wasn't in danger of melting, but what ******** purpose did it serve to store a chocolate away among books? His lips curled into a sneer, unable to place his disgust in the situation at hand or the fact that some small part of him actually wanted the damnable thing. He wouldn't cave to his weakness. They would never allow him to live it down.

Besides, he was a man of science, strictly professional. Professional, mature individuals did not have time for candy.

His mouth was still drawn in a taut frown when he heard another voice, this time unfamiliar. A jab caught in his throat until he turned to face the owner—an orangeblood—face marred with scars that trickled down her throat into the vastness of her cloak.

Disgusting.

Angry resolve back full force, he still couldn't manage a smarmy remark before she vanished as quickly as she appeared, words in one ear and clear out the other. What even was her name? He hadn't been paying attention.

Instead, the small doctor retreats away to his respective yellow and blue-blooded 'companions', grumbling about disorganized shitty organization this and stupid asinine imbeciles that. How dare anyone think they could just,—just meander up to him and speak. He looked both floored and exasperated but mostly annoyed.

"I think we should all stop dicking around and actually do something. I'm starting to feel as moronic as everyone else in this abhorrent ********> Muerte said flippantly as he oh-so-casually put the other two between him and anyone else who dared to come this direction.

Team ******** Members: Zeffer, Aprife, yo Teteeee
Your Roll: 4
Current Stamina: 2-1=1

For a moment, Aprife observed, head tilted slightly back. "No, I think we should consider everything." He was taking it all in; it wouldn't do to be too narrow-minded, at least not at first, they had nothing to go on yet. Until they could shrink the playing field, they had to test every lead, be it troll or totem. Everything was potentially important.

Potentially important or potentially a joke.

The sound of true excitement tore him from his inner workings and he was certainly not surprised to see Zeffer waving his 'something' around in the air, ever energetic. Chocolate probably wasn't a clue, but hey, it was better than nothing. Could this be considered a boost to morale? Judging by the look on Muerte's face, not so much. The disgust was rolling off of him in waves, it was practically tangible.

Saying something to ease the tension likely wouldn't work, but he was opening his mouth to do so anyway, at least until someone beat him to the punch. It was an orangeblood, an unfamiliar one sporting scars that looked as gruesome as any of the others he'd seen tonight. Even if she'd barged over unprompted, that didn't mean whatever she had to say wouldn't be important. Crossing his arms, he listened, and she was gone before he could even blink.

Huh. Might be good to know. The intelligence department, apparently a place where many of the oldest members of the Initiative resided, could very well hold some important clues, too. Now he just had to try and help steer the team in some direction before some members got a little too impatient for comfort.

"I have an idea about that, patience, Tete." The sharp grin that punctuated the nickname was hidden away as he turned, busying himself elsewhere as he thought for a moment. That was when he realized it, whatever this was, it was important. "I think found something."

"Right!" Zeffer nodded, and shoved the chocolate bar into one of his jacket pockets. Like Tete, he too was tempted to tear into it, but to Zeffer's idiotic brain, it seemed as if it could serve some purpose later on. Sliding back closer to his companions, he tried to follow Aprife's lead as they continued their snooping, until the orangeblood appeared and began to address them. Oh s**t.

The blueblood waved as she swooped off to places unknown, and before they knew it, Aprife had stumbled upon a clue. "Only a matter of time, really. You're a ********' genius at this kinda s**t." Zeffer smirked as he nudged the yellowblood, squinting at what he had found. He always had to admire his matesprit's talents; this was exactly the kind of job Aprife would be good at. Zeffer could only hope that he didn't become a third wheel to his more astute friends.

"Well, we've combed through this place pretty well...why don't we go check out the Intel Department? Bet you're just dying to see it." He teased Aprife playfully, and drifted toward the large double doors.

TROUBLE
Team Members: Kursha Vidari, Byakko Mawiya, Rasali Panaka
Your Roll: 3
Current Stamina: 2 - 1 = 1

The meeting room was deserted. Perfect. Kursha had been tempted to investigate it last night, but with one of the other teams already poking around he had ushered his team team outside. They would only get in each others' way, and though he would never openly admit it he was a little intimidated by the older trolls. The blueblood had some fierce scarring and his yellowblooded companion looked similarly rugged. It was best to avoid tangling with them... for the moment.

Running his hand along the bookshelf, Kursha took note of the various contents. Compilations of newspaper clippings, encyclopedias, atlases, books on the Alternian military, a few rare, surviving historical documents. Eventually his eyes glazed over and he lost focus. None of it seemed particularly interesting. Once, he thought he saw a paper slip sticking out of the side of a book, but it only turned out to be bookmark. When he examined the page it flagged, he turned up nothing. In disgust, he stuffed it back on the shelf.

Wait a second.

That book had no title.

Sliding the adjacent book out of the case, Kursha flipped it open. To his surprise, only the cover came away. A prop. The inside was hollow, a compartment carved between the 'pages', big enough to hold something. What that something might have been was a mystery though. The book was currently empty. It was clear of dust too, meaning that it had been used recently.

Kursha held it aloft, waving over his companions. “Hey, what do you make of this?” he asked.

TROUBLE
Team Members: Kursha, Rasali, Akko
Your Roll: 1
Current Stamina: 2 - 1 = 1 (+1 bonus)

Glancing over at Kursha as he lifted the faux book to his teammates with a simple question, Byakko discarded the fading logs she herself had been currently flipping through and beelined over to the greenblood. Peering over his shoulder at his discovery, she narrowed her eyes on the compartment- what was this, now? A hiding place for something...? Why here, in this room, of all places?

"I'm not sure." Her response was curt, but the expression painted on her face was clearly one of interest. The compartment was empty, so it was best not to spend too much time questioning it, but still...

"May I?" She extended a hand, firmly but respectfully asking to inspect the book herself. Turning the deceivingly light prop over in her hands, Akko examined it intensively from each side before flipping open its 'pages' to study the cavity. The mutantblood paused, breaking her focus on the fake book to peek up at Kursha, giving the inside a good whiff. She inhaled deeply, nostrils twitching, detecting something... sweet? How odd.

As Byakko moved to return the book to Kursha, slightly less convinced that the hollow book had any real relevancy, she almost walked straight into the path of a trembling yellowblood. Byakko shook her head lightly at the girl's apology, softly telling her she had no reason to be sorry, before raising a brow at her comments about the notes. The head of intelligence had horrendously messy handwriting? Maybe Errade needed to invest in a typewriter.

You nearly crashed into a worried looking yellowblood who had her nose buried deep in some journal as she scurried along. It fell to the floor, and she quickly scooped it up, mortified. "I-I'm s-sorry!" She stammered, bowing roughly in apology. "I-it's these n-notes... I'm late with t-them, b-but I just c-can't read Miss Err-rade's r-reading. So mess-sy..." She gives you another awkward stiff bow, before dashing off.

Your Roll: 6
Current Stamina: 2/2 - 1 = 1/2

Milieu returned from exploring most of the cavern to the main hall and allowed herself to collapse into a chair. She leaned forward and pressed the heels of her palms into her eyes and sighed deeply. This was too taxing. She really wished she could find Lunear, but she didn't know where the rainbowdrinker boyfriend had gone. You'd think being as bright as a flash light would be easy to spot, but apparently not.

I could find Vremea, Odette, and Athene but... No... No. Just no. While the teal tried to suppress it, it was very clear she was emotionally distraught.

Eventually she stood and began to explore the room for more details, but her eyes locked on to the large map. It was old, but it appeared relatively up to date. It was OHC, or Civisect city. Seeing it made her heart hurt worse. Milieu gently thumped her forehead against the wall, her shoulders slumping in a gesture of defeat.

ACCIDENTAL FAMILY UNIT
Team Members: Stryke Nvrmor, Miliue Aojiro, Lunear Reglos
Your Roll: You push one of the tables aside with a grunt before flopping your weight onto the wheeled surface, propelling yourself to the middle of the room before spinning yourself around in circles. Work hard, play hard... right?!
Current Stamina: 1-1=0

Stryke had entered the empty meeting hall with the intention of finding something useful to do. Okay, really he was just tired of running around all over the place tirelessly without ceasing. He'd barely had any time to rest since arriving, and was exhausted. A bright idea occurred to the kid when he pushed one of the tables aside. With a bit of effort and several taxed sounding grunts, he managed to turn the table it into a mobile wheelie transporter. Stryke almost felt silly for doing it, but the quick childish antic had made him chuckle while his lusus stared at him, hardly thrilled.

As he slid across the room, doing a few circles just for good fun he noticed a a distressed figure came into view about the time the momentum ceased. This troll had grown quite a bit since last they met, but he recognized some of her features including her symbol. "hey...are you okay?" It occurred to him, once upon a time she'd comforted him when he was upset. Stryke found himself wishing to return her kindness, with a small smile on the young yellowbloods face trying to demonstrate he meant well.

His eyes searched her down-trotted expression, patting the table he'd parked his a** on waving her closerr, offering her his company.
