GENERAL GUIDELINES
All Monsters are native to the Lapis System at this time, however it is fine to play them as if they were born/raised in a different solar system.
Handlers and other player-made humanoid characters can be from anywhere, even your own made up solar system.
Official interactions (Training, Battles, Exploration) will only ever take place within the Lapis System, but you are free to RP outside of that if you like.
MAKING YOUR "OWN" SETTING As mentioned, you are free to RP outside of the Lapis System and create backgrounds for characters that includes information about other Galaxies/Systems/Planets. However, there are a few basic guidelines to keep in mind.
Any player-created setting must be based within the realms of believable science fiction. While this still gives you a LOT of room to play around, there are some things which are firmly not accepted or recognized.
Magic does not exist. Highly advanced technology can, and does.
If it might be considered godmoding it's off limits.
Humanoids must not exhibit abilities which would make them omniscient, control other characters, or give them any other 'powers' that could be considered godmoding. Besides, the focus in this shop is on Monsters, not humanoids.
Beyond that, go wild!

THE MERIDIAN CLOUD GALAXYA fairly moderately-sized galaxy, the Meridian Cloud Galaxy is an irregularly-shaped galaxy with clusters of stars and debris forming more densely at the center and then sprouting, seeming at random, around the outer edges. THE LAPIS SOLAR SYSTEMThe Lapis System lies at the heart of the galaxy and is the largest and most densely populated of the known inhabited solar-systems. At the heart of the system, a bright blue star provides warmth and light to the planets that orbit it, hence its name. In all, there are 8 planets, and an additional terra-formed space station which acts as a 9th.

DESTRIBy far the hottest planet in the Lapis System, and one of the least inhabited. The surface of Destri can reach over 200 degrees in only a few moments just after sunrise and by mid-morning is well over 500 -- and thats considered pleasant. In some areas, the acid rain that falls on the planet has eroded the surface so much that lava flows are nearly constant and boil the surrounding area in over 1000 degree heat; constantly. Not to mention the radiation from the close proximity of the sun. But, as long as you don't mind living in a bubble for the rest of your life, and the occasional earthquake, the views on this planet actually can be quite incredible. The ozone makes for some incredible sunrises and sunsets. for example, and the acid rain that falls has carved the rocky surface with awe-inspiring formations. Of course very few creatures live on this planet, but there are a few who call it home.

VANDIAOne of the smaller planets, but densely forested with trees almost too huge to imagine. The forests here would dwarf the Redwoods from old Earth, and most people who live here have learned to use them for their homes rather than cut them down. Of course, even the tree-houses have been modernized, but its a nice change of pace from the typical type of city one might expect and is great for the adventuring types who like to get up close an personal with nature. Due to the otherwise untouched wilderness of this planet there are all sorts of different creatures being discovered here all the time, as well as new Monsters, and the hunters and Wranglers that call Vandia their home have made a business out of it.

TERRANThe second home-world to the human population, Terran is the most Earth-like planet in the system. Though it has no polar icecaps, the geography itself was similar enough to draw the humans here over any of the others. With multiple continents, and a surface comprised of about 80% water, including its vast oceans, it was a natural choice. Some of the features on Terran are more extreme than Earth, however, being an older planet. Taller mountains, deeper ravines, and strange flora and fauna that is entirely unlike Earth at all dot the surface. Still, there are some areas where, long ago, the Earthians planted their own flora, and raised their own animals, and the wild descendents of those first arrivals can now be seen scattered about here and there. Most of the cities that exist here are large, crowded metropolises that almost seem to never end. It is one of the more densely populated of planets, with people from all over the system, and beyond, calling it their home.

MYRTHRUHPerhaps one of the most exotic planets in the solar system, Myrthruh is situated just right where it's mostly oceanic surface doesn't tend to experience much in the way of winter and is mostly a tropical paradise all year long. The lack of landmass, however, hasn't stopped people from moving here to live. They've simply adapted their architecture to build cities over, and under, the oceans themselves. People will travel here quite often for the unique under-water experience many cities offer, but because of the architectual challenges it is not as densely populated as one might expect. It is probably this reason, alone, however, that ensures the planet stays as beautiful as it is. The seas here are mostly shallow, with only some truly deep oceans, and are scattered with strange salt-water dwelling trees that make up most of the planet's forests. Large freshwater lakes dot the landscape where cities and towns haven't dried up the waters for commercial purposes.

FAELUNA medium sized planet with temperate to dry conditions, and a single, mostly flat, landmass. The plains here vary from desert to savannah, with the greatest of the grass forests along the northern hemisphere. The grasses here grow extremely tall in some regions, reaching heights that exceed twenty feet. When the winds blow in autumn, and the grasses are at their driest, the forests of grass are said to sing. Faelun is somewhat moderately populated, mainly near the coast, with only a few major city-states. For most people visiting this planet the attraction is in its mostly untouched wilderness, which the inhabitants have turned into a tourist attraction for revenue -- conserving most of the area as national parks. Because of this, it is possible to find many wild Monsters that may otherwise not have been native but which manage to fit into the natural ecosystem.

ARGONANow a somewhat crowded and densely populated planet, most of its landmass has long since been used for building cities. However, some of the areas of the Great Marshes still remain intact -- too vast and deep to have yet been modernized by humanoid society. Some restrictions have been put in place to conserve them, but its uncertain what the fate of the marshes will be in the years to come. The planet is somewhat warm and humid year round, save for in the mountaineous regions that dot the various continents, most of which are spaced closely together. Argona is one of the larger planets and is known for its huge cities and trading centers. People come from all over to trade goods here, and to tour the expansive cityscapes.

SULISThe largest of the planets in the system, Sulis is a somewhat arid planet with moderate temperatures year round that, surprisingly, border on the cooler side. Most of its many mountainous peaks are covered in snow and ice year round, while the valleys carved into its surface are lush with rich grasses and streams. There really isn't much of an ocean to speak of, however. At least not on the surface. Whatever oceans there might have been have long since been swallowed up by the mountains in what scientists believe was a cataclysmic eruption of volcanoes and earthquakes. They believe the cause was a massive meteorite that hit the planet and knocked it from its original axis, and also destroyed the moon that may have existed. As Sulis currently has no moon, it's difficult to say, though analysis of the ring orbiting the planet confirmed that the particles are from the planet itself, as well as an asteroid, and some other third substance which they theorize may have been the moon in question. In any case, it can be a rather pleasant place to live, though only one side of the planet receives sunlight for most of the year, while the other half only receives sunlight for about a quarter of the year.

TALKRIEVThe only planet of its kind in the Lapis System, Talkriev is a frozen planet of extreme seasonal changes and cold nights that last for weeks or months at a time, especially during winter. As the planet furthest away from the sun it also has the longest orbit, and thus the longest year. Temperatures here can easily reach minues 400 degrees farenheit at night. Large formations of blue ice make up the eerie landscape on this planet, and there is very little plant or animal life natural to the surface; though it's a different story once one delves beneath the thick layers of hard rock, permafrost and ice. Beneath the ice are frozen oceans which are home to mysterious and elusive creatures that are difficult to study due to their infrequent numbers. The lack of light means less food, and thus less creatures, but somehow they have adapted to this environment. Corals which glow, and marine creatures with gaping maws and flashing phosphorescent lights are only a few of the strange wonders one might discover here. Perhaps it was this strange landscape which brought the first settlers -- scientists -- and which continue to attract others from time to time.

AXIS M91A terraformed space colony comprised of a central power unit that doubles as central hub and emergency evacuation center, and six atmosphere globes made to mimic various biomes. Though it is self sustaining, the colony has assumed a stationary orbit somewhat between Vandia and Argona where the colonists can enjoy an otherwise uneventful existence a safe distance from the asteroid belt. The biomes here are made to mimic some of the planets, aside from the most extreme, and include: Faelun, Argona, Myrthruh, Vandia, Sulis, and Terran. Procedures about new settles are very strict due to the limited amount of space, though resources aren't an issue as each biome is the size of a large moon and is self sustaining. Otherwise, the colony is happy to accept visitors and tourists for a short time.

THE SILVER RIVERSo called because most of the asteroids here have heavy deposits of Silver and other heavy metals which make them glint and glitter. The blue light from the sun gives them an even more ethereal sort of presence. There is no known life among the asteroids, as they have no atmosphere of their own. However, sometimes miners will go to the asteroids for some of the more precious materials that may be harvested from their cores. Though none of the planets lie directly in the path of this asteroid belt, the strong gravitational pull from Sulis, and its somewhat close proximity, has caused a few asteroid to fall the planet's surface from time to time.
