Sebasitan was woken up early this morning. It was a special day, his first day at Hartford University, one of the nicest (and most expensive) colleges in the state. It was 6 a.m. and there was much to be done before his 10 o' clock class. His butler was the one to wake him. "Sir. Goodmorning. I've laid an outfit out for you this morning." Sebastian tiredly shooed the man out of his room then dove under his blankets for another 15 minutes before finally waking completely. He looked at his alarm clock. "6:15?" Why did he have to be up so early. The class wasn't until 10. He angrily kicked his bed then caught sight of the hideous outfit the butler had laid out for him. It was so....prim. Too proper for him. "I'm going to ******** college. Not meeting the president!" He called to whoever was listening outside his door, most likely his mother who was way too excited for this day. Hartford University was chosen by his parents. They always said they wanted the best for him and his education. Something about knowlege is power. He never quite understood or liked school, but he did get pretty good grades.

After taking out his frustration Sebastian rambled through his closet for an outfit that suited him better. He pulled out a nice collared shirt, some slacks, and nice dress shoes. That should be fine enough, he thought. Sebastian got dressed rather fast then opened the door to be immediately greeted by his mother who was bombarding him with questions. "Are you ready son? Where's your outfit? I liked the suit and tie! This isn't nice enough! Stop smoking!" She grabbed the pack of Insinga cigarettes out of his pocket. "Mom." He angrily took them back before descending down two flights of stairs to the kitchen.

Sebastian did differ a lot from the rest of his family. While they loved living in the lap of luxury and excessing over their wealth, Sebastian was a bit more on the mellow side. Of course he loved living with so much fortune, being able to buy the most expensive cigarettes on the market and whatnot, but he also appreciated the simple things in life. Things like urban culture. Especially urban culture. His parents never quite understood. Once downstairs he eyed over his already-cooked expanse of breakfast options. He ate for an hour or so next to his younger sister Alice. Then got ready to get driven to school. He arrived to the campus a couple hours early because his parents wanted him to become acquainted with the dean of the school. After an hour and a half with the dean his parents finally left and he was able to get a good ten minutes of smoking in while sitting on a bench outside of his first classroom which was titled "History 101".

ooc ;; No worries c': And I hate to be bothersome, but do you mind quoting me in your posts? Sometimes I tend to forget to check x_x I have a bit of role plays going and can get side tracked. Also, wasn't sure if you used a real college or made up one.. So I hope its okay that I chose an art scholarship. X3

Those who want to know and those who want to believe.

Kristy was woken up to several children screaming and fighting over who got the last piece of toast. She sighed and rubbed her eyes as she sat up in the bed, wincing as she heard the loud creak from the old frame that held her mattress off the floor. She sighed and ran fingers through her messy and tangled hair. Her pale green eyes looked around the darkened room that she shared with one of the other orphan girls. Yeah, Kristy was old enough to go out on her own, but she would have no where to go if she left. The orphanage wasn't exactly the greatest place, heck, it was a place she would never share with anyone. When people would ask her where she lived throughout high school, she never told the truth or even answered. The female got up off the low bed and then moved to her dresser and rummaged through the little clothing she did have. She pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans that had multiple rips starting about mid thigh and going down to her shin. Then she pulled out a black spaghetti strapped tank-top and a white colored sweater that looked a bit old and stretched out.

She made her way to the bathroom and had to fight just to get the other kids out before she got it to herself. She showered up and then afterwards she stood on her tip toes and put on some light eye-liner, brown eye shadow, and mascara. She may be an orphan but the man, Mr. Morris, who owned the orphange did his best to give all the children there what they wanted. All she ever wanted was make up. Though, if he couldn't get it, she did tend to steal... It was bad and she didn't like doing it, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Once she finished she put her clothing on and looked in the mirror. Her sweatshirt hung past her right shoulder, showing off the black tank top strap. Her sweat shirt was worn often, as it was her favorite one. It was just a tad... Stretched out. She left the bathroom, practically getting tackled as girls faught over who got the bathroom next. High school girls, gotta love them. She went to her bedroom and put on a pair of converse that were on the verge of falling apart. The bottom was being held together by duct tape, which was wrapped around the tips of her shoes. She grabbed her bag and left her room, going to the kitchen. She spoke to Mr. Morris who gave her money to get food or whatever she needed.

Kristy left early so she could walk to the school. It was a good forty five minute to an hour walk (depending on your speed), from the orphanage. It would have been a lot quicker going by bus, but oh well. She finally arrived to the campus and she frowned. "Oh god..." She mumbled to herself. Her natural wavy hair was blowing lightly with the wind and she looked down. There were people outside, everyone looked so... Expensive... In fact, as she was walking to the doors, all she could hear were the whispers of her clothing and how weird she looked. She could feel so many eyes on her, it felt like these people were looking into her soul! Kristy felt s out of place. She had gotten a scholarship from her high school to go to Hartford University. She wanted to major in Fine Art. It was something she was good at. In fact, she had so many sketch books of drawings and paintings. She was best at doing portraits but she could draw and paint practically anything. The female stopped and pulled out the paper that showed what classes she had. She had the prerequisites of course and then her art class. She sighed and made her way to her first classroom. History 101. She entered the room, making sure that she didn't make eye contact. Ah, she felt so awkward. She wished she could be more confident... But she looked so raggedy... Plus, she only stood at a height of five foot two, so she was pretty short on top of what she wore.

A few of Sebastians old high school friends managed to find him sitting on the bench. Two of them rushed over (Damian and Sophie) very excited to see him. Sophie, a tall, extremely beautiful blonde wrapped Sebastian up in her arms. "Seb! Oh Seb I missed you!" Sebastian quickly backed away. "Would you watch it! You almost put my cig out." Sebastian flicked the expensive cigarette between his index and middle finger causing the piled up ash to drop to the ground. Damian walked up a bit after Sophie then took the cigarette, and crushed it under his designer shoe before Sebastian had a chance to do anything. His morning was already going bad. Sebastian slapped his hands down on his khakis. "Nice to see you too Damian"

The friends sat on the bench. Sophie constantly checking her makeup while Damian and Sebastian reminisced about high school, and how hot their teachers were. While talking Damian noticed a raggity looking girl walk by. "Did you see that?" Sebastian looked up, he missed Kristy's quick appearance. "What?" Sophie quickly popped up in extremely loud laugher. Seb looked up at her confused. "What?" He repeated while furrowing his brows. "That girl. She Was she a student?" Sophie laughed again to herself. "Oh man I feel bad for her. Hey I gotta' go. My class is all the way...umm.. over there." Sophie took off to her class. Sebastian sighed, she annoyed him a bit. Damian smirked. "Don't let her get to you." The bell for class rang right as Sebastian tried lighting another cigarette. Damian rolled his eyes then walked away towards his class. "Well...I guess I'll have to save you for later" Sebastian tucked the cig back in the box and tossed his lighter in his bag before walking into the classroom.

When he entered the smell of new textbooks and expensive cologne overwhelmed him. He was a tad bit late, and there was only one seat left that looked like people had been avoiding. It was next to this girl that didn't look like she belonged there. He made his way over to the seat next to her. "Umm.." He was going to ask if anyone was sitting there, then realized it was a stupid question. He just sat down quickly, everyone was looking at him. Almost everyone knew Sebastian's family and how rich they were. Now he was sitting next to this girl that looked like she cleaned his house. Slowly people started turning away, and Sebastian could breathe. He let a few seconds pass before turning to the girl. "Do you go here?" He asked awkwardly.

Those who want to know and those who want to believe.

Kristy sat down in a random seat and pulled out a sketch pad that had a few drawings in it and she began to sketch on a new sheet. She just needed to pass the time while waiting for class to start. She tried to refrain from looking around, she could feel the odd looks. She frowned and lowered her head a little bit as she drew. Jeez. This place was going to be rough. She even wondered if these people would accept her as who she was. That was a fear that she had accepting the scholarship. She knew it was a rich college, it was no place for her. Though a good college would mean she could be in a place she deserved to be in.

Everyone was getting in the room and obviously avoiding to sit next to her, as if she were a plague or something! The nerve of these stuck up rich people. She hadn't noticed that someone actually took the seat next to her and she jumped slightly hearing a male voice. Her pale green eyes broke contact with her sketch pad and she looked over at him. "Huh?" She blinked, "Oh... Um.. Y-Yeah." She let out softly. She didn't want to be judged, but she knew it was coming. He was a gorgeous male and had such nice clothing. Ah, it made her feel so pathetic. She looked away and down to her sketch book for a moment before glancing at her clothing. She felt so under dressed compared to all the other students.

Kristy knew this was going to be a long day...

When she responded with a yes he gave a slow nod. He didn't quite understand how she got accepted into such a fine college but he wasn't about to ask. Sebastian pulled his leather messenger bag onto his lap then pulled a notebook and pen out. "Well. I'm Sebastian. Looks like we'll be sitting next to each other this semester." He was going to give her the reason why. It wasn't because they had assigned seats, but he knew he'd always be late after having to smoke a cig, and clearly no one else would willingly sit next to her. At least, not if she would dress like this everyday. He decided to keep that part of the reason on hush.

He embarrassingly messed around with his pen. He could feel some eyes on him. Especially girls. Everyone loved Seb, maybe because he was handsome, maybe it was the charm, it was probably because he was the richest and they all wanted diamonds. Whatever. He didn't involve himself much with the girls that went to his high school, and he didn't think anything would change in college. He simply didn't have time for how ditsy all the rich girls were here. Besides that he valued natural beauty. All the girls here it seemed plumped here, tucked there. They were clearly works of art from a doctor and not from mother nature. Well... that is besides the girl he found himself sitting next to. "What are you majoring in?" He asked quietly as the teacher started writing out information on the fancy whiteboard. He decided it would be easier to talk to this girl rather than block her off entirely, but this was all he could think to ask.

Ahh I noticed. Congratulations. smile

Those who want to know and those who want to believe.

Kristy got pretty silent, yeah, this was awkward. Why was he even talking to her? Did he feel obligated? Did he feel sorry for her. She was probably pathetic in his eyes. Her beat up clothing compared to his and everyone elses. The thoughts in her head were going crazy, wondering how it was going to be here, if she would ever be accepted regardless of her clothing, if she would make friends. All those things would just have to wait. She wouldn't know until it happened of course. "My name is Kristy.. N-Nice to meet you Sebastian." Kristy sighed softly and put away her sketch book and took out some paper to take notes of what the teacher would write. She felt so nervous to be talking to him. She felt almost afraid to speak up around all these rich people.

Kristy watched the teacher write information on the board, which she began to take notes on. She glanced towards Sebastian and straightened her posture a bit, "Fine Art." She answered his question. "What about you? What are you majoring in?" She questioned softly. She knew people were probably looking, but it actually felt nice to know she could have light conversation with the guy she was sitting next to. She didn't mind it, she could be social when she wanted. Though it would just be hard in this college.

"Criminal Justice." Sebastian said this in a rather dull tone. Honestly he was only majoring in criminal justice because that was what his parents wanted him to do. They were both extremely successful lawyers. Of course they wanted their son to follow in there footsteps. He was impressed by Kristy's major fine arts major. He would probably be much happier in that major than the one he was currently in, but he'd just have to put those feelings aside. He didn't openly say anything about his secret love for the arts. He simply said, "They have a good fine arts program here." Then turned his head down towards the table and began to write in his notebook. A cue for her not to respond to his statement.

After a few moments passed he looked over at this Kristy girl from the corner of his eye. She had this rugged beauty about her that he hadn't noticed before. Maybe it was the mention of fine art that made him find something pleasant about her, who knows. Either way Sebastian took a deep breath then looked away again. After scanning the classroom he noticed a lot more students getting more involved in their notes, and not so involved in watching Sebastian and the girl he was next to. It made him a bit more comfortable. He wanted to talk to this girl, and he felt better about it now. First he decided to figure out what was with her outfit. "So. Is this...er...look of yours an artsy thing. Like a 'I wanna be different' kind of statement?" He was hoping that she would just say yes so he wouldn't have to face the embarrassment of asking if she really just wasn't rich.

Those who want to know and those who want to believe.

Kristy had looked at him and tilted her head slightly. He didn't sound too enthusiastic about saying he was majoring in criminal justice. "Hmm... Interesting." She let out softly. She didn't know how to respond, or if she did would he even acknowledge it or just brush it off like it were nothing. She didn't know him, but she knew he definitely didn't sound excited about what he was there for. Though a slight smile came to her face when he said they had a good fine arts program. Sure enough, he began to write. She stayed silent, obviously getting the hint. Though, maybe when she was more comfortable with him she could speak her mind about the matter. For now, they were strangers and it would probably stay that way for a while.

Kristy got back to taking her notes and just figured she should leave him to do his work as well. Things were quite for a bit until he spoke up. The question did manage to catch her off guard and she brought her attention back to him. 'Don't blow this.. Just play along. Nobody will know.' She thought to herself. It made her nervous, but she knew she had to play it off. If anyone found out she was an orphan and obviously poor then she might get picked on... She was in no mood to be bullied by a bunch of rich snotty kids. Which, it seemed that Sebastian just may be one of those people. She got the jist of his question, but obviously he didn't want to be blunt and ask the question straight out. That was fine with her though. She let out a soft chuckle and nodded, "But of course. It is rather bland to be like everyone else. Wearing all the expensive wear these days just doesn't cut it for me." She stated. "I would rather wear this and show people I can be great without having to run around and show off riches." She shrugged. 'Well played Krista. Well played.' She thought to herself and she looked down at her paper.

Sebastian couldn't help but smile. He quickly regained his composure though then nodded. "I can understand that." His voice was a bit nicer. There was something very likable about her, and he was glad to know she wasn't just some bum. Or so he thought. Sebastian quickly scribbled down some notes in his book before looking over at Kristy again. He started to have a bit of doubt about her statement pretty quick. Maybe it was that he could tell she wasn't wearing designer makeup, and that her hair wasn't treated with the upmost of care. There was a vibe that came off of her that screamed this wasn't just an artsy thing. "I'm from North End. What about you?" He thought this would be the deciding question. He could for sure tell if she was from a prominent family by where she lived.

Although he felt a bit bad after asking. What if she wasn't from the nicest neighborhood. She probably already felt intimidated enough. Sebastian quickly spoke again. "I mean. You don't have to answer that if you don't wan't to." He gave a reassuring nod before looking back down at his paper. He didn't want to make her anymore stressed out than she already was.

Kristy had seen the smile and that made her feel much better. He honestly didn't look like the type that would smile easily. He gave her a vibe that he had one hell of an attitude. She was just glad that she wasn't catching it, if her vibe were true. Kristy went back to writing down notes and relaxed back into her seat when finishing up with that portion. She looked over at him when he asked where she was from. 'Crap...' She drew a blank! What should she say? She didn't want to give it away! She was silent for a moment and heard him mention she didn't have to answer. She gave a soft smile though, "Well, I am not from around here." Now it was in her mind that she was going to spend her time here lying about who she was.

That made her feel awful. She hated lying, but it needed to be done so she wouldn't be judged. Kristy looked at the board for a moment and watched the teacher lecture the class. Kristy bounced her right foot lightly, she was obviously pretty nervous. She almost wanted to stop talking to him and just focus on the class.

Sebastian simply nodded in response to her answer. He decided he would stop prying her now. Occasionally Sebastian would scribble down notes. Sometimes he'd look over at Kristy or some of the other classmates. There was a platinum blonde girl sitting a few seats over from Sebastian who kept looking at him. She was probably interested, but Sebastian definitely was not. The only reason he would ever be interested in talking to the blonde was to maybe figure out where the parties would be taking place this afternoon.

After a few moments of silence the class bell rang, and Sebastian started shoving things back into his backpack. He grabbed a cig from a box he had in there, then tucked it safely behind his ear. Then he caught notice of Kristy. "Do you smoke?" He asked nicely. If she did he could tell these would be the nicest cigarettes she would ever have. If she didn't smoke, well then that sucked for her. He pulled another cigarette from his bag then handed it in her direction.

Those who want to know and those who want to believe.

Kristy honestly felt bad for lying about who she was, though, she knew she wouldn't be accepted for who she was around a place like this. So all she could do was to pretend to be something she was not. It was the worse way to go, because if she gets caught it will only end in her being in more crap, but she was going to try. Kristy paid attention to the lecture once they finished whispering back and fourth. She felt... Awkward. She could feel when people looked at the two of them. She knew people probably wondered why he was talking to someone dressed like her. Someone that was so poor looking.

When the bell rang, Kristy gathered her things, placing it into her bag before she got up. Jesus, Sebastian was almost a good head and a half taller than her! She felt absolutely tiny compared to him. She may have been one of the oldest in the orphanage, but she was a lot shorter than most of the other children there. Hell, even some of the young pre-teen boys were taller than her! Kristy was caught by surprise when he spoke to her. She didn't really smoke, she tried it before and wasn't a huge fan of it. Though, as he held out the cigarette she offered a kind smile. Jesus, this was going to be rough. "Well, you are in luck, it just so happens I do. Been a while since I have had one though." She stated as she took the cigarette. Alright, another lie... She had to make acquaintances somehow and she should probably start with this one. "Thanks." She knew she was going to drag herself into some crazy s**t, but he might be worth becoming friends with, if she could manage that one. It was worth a try. "Gonna join me for a smoke then?" She questioned and smiled to him before she started to make her way to the door.
