Star Wars: He's seen every movie, read every book, seen both animated series to completion, and will show you his Tie-Fighter collection if you ask. Ren fell into Star Wars with the prequel movies in elementary school, then quickly had to watch the original trilogy. He owns just about every Extended Universe novel on the market, as well as several comic books. He has his own headcanons about the new trilogy, and will talk your ear off about different modern view points on the series and Jedi Code if you give him the chance.

Way of the Jedi: Not only does Ren immerse himself in the universe of Star Wars, he's taken upon himself to dedicate to the Jedi Path. He owns a copy of the official Jedi Path book, as well as is a member of the leading Jedi Organization in the US. He is still very much a Padawan, with much to learn, but Ren tries to apply the tenets of the Code in everyday life. He practices compassion and patience, though his self-discipline has been lacking of late.


Virtues:
Level Headed: In touch and go situations, or chaotic circumstances, Ren keeps a rather level head about things. The class project is due in twelve hours and nothing's been done? Ren will be the one keeping the group intact and deciding what's getting done when. Once his father's car was hit by a four-by-four truck, and while his dad was ranting and raving, Ren calmly got all the information and made sure everyone is okay. He does his best to contain his emotions during situations, meditating on them at a later date when time permits.

Innovative: If it hasn't been done yet, he'll figure out how to do it. A hard math problem you can't solve? He'll reverse engineer that until you can. Unsure how to hang this picture on the wall without thumb-tacts? He's got seven ideas for that. Want a really good project that'll wow the class and teacher? Ask him.

Fluid: He adapts himself to who others want him to be. A lover, a fighter, delicate or hardcore, he's been a varied number of 'personas' over his short lifetime, and easily melds himself for the occasion. This clashes some with his identity of being Jedi - for some say he is not actually fluid but deceptive - but Ren strongly believes that his ability to adapt to situations as needed would have come in handy as Jedi in the Star Wars universe.

Flaws:
Wanderlust: You'll never find him in the same place twice. His father sent him to the Azure Valley Academy thinking it would keep him in one place, but even then he's found ways outside. Ren often gets restless, and when forced to stay in one place, he fidgets and acts like a caged bird. It's not so much a desire for adventure; Ren simply cannot help but wander and get lost in starlight. Some of it has to do with his lack of a self identity. Given that Ren does not really know who he is, or who he wants to be, he neither knows where he belongs. As part of his training, he's been trying to be more self disciplined about the wandering, to little success.

Dogmatic: For all his fluidity, when it comes to the Jedi Code and his belief system, he is as strict of a follower as they come. His view point on most things is almost always colored by his beliefs, and often he will side with the opposing side because it is 'the Will of the Force'. The Jedi Code can do no wrong in Ren's mind, and he lives by this belief. This often makes him appear as stubborn and closed minded, and he's often accused of using his belief in the Code as a cop out in arguments.

Persona Unknown: He's spent so many years changing himself for others, he has no idea who he actually is. He's unsure what he actually likes, who he likes, how he acts, or what he wants in life. At times, he often gets confused as to which persona he's taken on for a given person or encounter, and can seem disjointed and lost. As a result, he keeps a small moleskin book on his person to keep tabs on who he "is" at any present moment. His only real point of reference and grounding in himself is his love and obsession with Star Wars, and his belief in the Force.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Kinda small, marroon

Hair: Hair style, Naturally auburn, currently dyed an ombre light blue to dark blue gradient. The back is cut short, while the front hangs parted over his left eye, and the chunks hang a few inches past his chin. A single braid hangs behind his right ear, still auburn and with three beads on the end.

Face: Still has baby fat, though the angles are coming in.

Clothes: Uniform, though he likes to walk around in slip on shoes, fitting pants, and a star wars shirt. All the time. He tends to be a bit on the skinner side, and is about 5'5".

Before I can drop a stamp, just a couple quick things!

On his civi side, you have he is fluid and can adapt himself to what others want him to be. May I recommend that where you mention his mother wanting a daughter and his father a son, you say more that he did things for each one to be the child they wanted? Such as when he was with his mom, he got into dressing up and what she liked to do but when with his father, he was more manly and stern? It reads as if for years he tried to be a girl then just threw that away and became a man over night. Or remove that part all together. The idea comes across well without it. That part just makes it seem muddled and as if instead of changing just personalities, he tries to physically change himself as well.

For his powered side, his weapon at Lieutenant stage is far too weaponized for that stage. As a Lieutenant, the weapon should be viewed as almost useless. I would recommend it just being straight up rings on his fingers. Then it could evolve into the fingers claw rings and then to the gauntlet! Also, is this on one hand or both?

They could work if you made them plastic and breakable. Like if he hit someone with them or hit something too hard they would break. They just can't be metal, sharp and able to like...claw someone's eye out >.< Yet
