Ciaran's pale eyes flicked up--alarm flashing in them for only a moment before he backed up and took the other colt in. Were those claws... His eyes went wide with excitement, then creased with mirth. His hooves clattered a little clumsily over the hard ground, the racoon sprinting away, long forgotten as Ciaran approached the stranger.
"Are you from the shadows?" he asked, glancing sidelong, to where his own shadow hid from sight. The thought of it made him uneasy and his gaze trained on the shadowy, clawed boy whose eyes glowed like twin diamonds. His ears folded back as he eased a little closer. "Did they send you? They don't like me..." he murmured, half to himself. His tail flicked like an annoyed kitten's might. "They have never come out at night before..."
