"Okay, lil guy," Roch said as he strolled down the street of a higher class part of town, "you gotta stay in there, got it? No runnin' off--and we'll go for eyescream after we finish all our work." The little boil in question was sitting in a wagon that was being pulled by Roch. Inside that wagon, crowded around Cisco, was a ton of random objects. It was all part of Roch's scheduled work-- In the morning he would take Cisco over to Casino Royale, where they would both eat breakfast (provided by Monica) and Monica would babysit Cisco while Roch went to work for his dad until noon. At noon he would get Cisco, eat again, and head out to do random errands for Vegas (with Cisco in tow) until evening. That's why he was walking through this neighborhood he usually wouldn't be in. Vegas had sent him on a delivery job to pick up some cigars from a very high class spot down the street--except-- The punk boil pulled to a stop at a large window. It wasn't the paintings on display that caught his attention, it was the beautiful Ice Demon standing next to them. His expression turned into a massive grin and he turned to look at Cisco. "Stay here, buddy, I'll be back in just a minute." He put the brake on the wagon and summoned his guitar, leaning it against the wagon in a silent, "I will jackin' KILL you if you touch my kid" symbol. This, actually, was why there was no blade on the headstock anymore. Cisco grabbed the neck as soon as it was near, plucking at the strings and giggling when they made sounds. Then he headed inside, looking just as much a trouble maker as he always had.

"Your work never ceases to fascinate me, Mr. Munch," the dark elf muttered in restrained awe, stroking his chin as he tapped his fingers on the tip of his cane. "As always, I will seek the best price for you - ah if there are any more works you have to show, I could even organize a special showcase for-"
The ring of the door opening interrupted the rather serious discussion amongst the three demons in the room - one, a renown artist who had recently emerged from seclusion to present his newest work, the second, a tall dark elf who was the owner of the auction house, and the third, a soon-to-be business partner of the latter.
She also happened to be a rather good friend of the punk reaper whom had just stepped in.
The auctioneer could only be less than pleased to be interrupted, much less entertain the trouble he assumed the reaper was.
"Do you have an appointment?" he shot at Roch rather curtly.
"Oh, I don't believe so actually - seems to me to be an uninvited guest" a cheeky smirk spread across the ghoul's face as she eyed her friend across the room. A quick wave of her hand summoned for the lazing security guards at the corner of the room, who gruffly began to usher the reaper out.
"Excuse me while I handle this, gentlemen, please pardon this minor inconvenience and do carry on," she smiled, bowing as she turned to leave.
Outside, a certain reaper might find himself unceremoniously dumped onto the street as the guards dusted themselves off, grunting as they headed back in.
"You should really read the sign that says we're closed for today you know~" the ghoul appeared from the door, folding her arms as she glared at Roch in mocking gesture. She laughed and broke into a smile, "it's been so long!"
The wagon on the street didn't fail to catch her eye, as did the tiny boil in it too. The frost demon could only look at it quizzically, while offering a hand to Roch to get up from his bum.Ice Queen OMG IM SO SORRY THIS IS SO LATEEEEEEE

"You had me dragged out!" Roch said, dusting his butt off and giving her a butthurt look. "Why would you do that t'one of your oldest pals?" he demanded.
"Ping, ping, brrrr," Cisco said, singing along with the guitar he was still playing with. The sight of his dad getting into trouble didn't even seem to phase him.
"What were you doin' in there, anyway?" Roch asked, looking at the building curiously. "Y'work there now?" He was deliberately NOT mentioning the kid that was obviously his yet. He'd let her do that.

"We observe a strict dresscode around here see-" she shrugged, grinning as she noticed that Roch's dress sense hadn't changed much at all. "Unless I am mistaken that you have any interest in fine art and wine, perhaps?" she asked jokingly. "I'll let you know about any instruments that pass through our hands though~"
"Mm, yes I do, family business partnership," she replied. She paused for a moment, thinking about how those usually implied something more, though both Ivar and her have never really broached the topic. Furthermore, it had been her to suggest the arrangement to begin with, after some research and recommendations from her other contacts.
Her glance shifted towards the small boil once again, finally caving in to her curiousity. "Babysitting for someone?"

He just stared at her for a moment, looking blank. He'd always thought Edel was the smart one of his pals... Oh, wait. He walked over to Cisco, letting his guitar dissipate, and pulled off the zombie knit hat (it looked like it was eating brains!) and showed the pale blonde mohawk.
"Well, I don't think they call it babysitting," he said almost blandly. "Edel, ah, meet your new nephew, San Francisco Scythe. Cisco, meet your Aunt Edel," he said, grinning at his son before looking at Edel. "If y'don't mind bein' called that, that is," he adds.
Cisco would have ALL the aunts and uncles, ok. ALL OF THEM!

"Your what?" It news came a little too suddenly, and the frost demon couldn't find a response.
"Who- is his mother?" she asked cautiously, still trying to process the fact that Roch had a child and stemming her emerging fears and concerns for her friend. In her head, she tried to recall the ghouls Roch had been close to in school - was it one of them? He had started a family already? She didn't receive any wedding invitations though....
"S-sure," she gave Cisco a little wave and smile before turning back to Roch. "W-When?!" she finally burst, demanding to know the sequence of events that led to this sudden situation.

"Well... he ain't got a ma," Roch said, grabbing the handle of the wagon. "Can we talk about it somewhere private? It's a bit of a story--an' I figure you'll wanna be sittin' down for it." Then he stopped, moving far quicker, and stuck tiny little rattles on the two drumsticks Cisco had just summoned for the heck of it.
"He's been doin' that a lot more since Seiji started teachin' him," he muttered, shaking his head as the boil started beating a rhythm on the wagon's side.

"-And I'll see you the following Websday for the final arrangements, the carriage should be here soon. It's been a pleasure, Mr Munch." The door to the auction house opened and the pair of demons stepped outside. Mr Munch didn't seem to care much for the conversation they had walked into, mumbling about getting some coffee before hopping into the carriage and riding off. The other man simply stood at the doorstep, giving Edel and Roch an unreadable look.
"An aquaintance, Miss Zaira?" he finally spoke, appearing a little too aware of the situation than the ghoul had expected. "You may come in, if you please," he turned to open the door, inviting the three of them back inside. "I'll have some tea and snacks ready, before I leave you for another appointment. I trust that you will be alright?" he addressed the frost demon quietly.
She was a little surprised by his sensibility, thanking him as she gestured for Roch and Cisco to come on in. The patio at the back of the shop was a quiet but pleasant place, and soon tea and cakes lined the table. There may have been an extra effort to provide some baby-friendly food too.
"So- " she continued, "would you tell me about it?"

He waited until he was sure they were alone before talking--but not before eating. That he made sure his son got cookies and water before he started eating might have been slightly shocking. But finally, he spoke. "Well, after I graduated I ran off--you remember that," he said slowly. "Well I joined up with a band of skeletons, built a tourbus and took to touring all of Halloween. It's a huge world, Edel--and amazing."
He gulped down another spookie before going on. "I... well, y'know, I was still pissed off about the whole Amphi thing, so I started playin' with ghouls along the way--always careful, of course--but then I ran into a valkyrie." He made a face, showing he'd been RIGHT about valks, okay. He should have trusted his instincts.

A tiny snowball was sent flying at the reaper's forehead, expressing quite clearly, the frost demon's reproachful stance. "I'm not in any position to tell you what to do, but please, Roch, I hope you make much more careful life choices with him around..." Edel sighed and set her cup back down on the saucer.
"....so what are your plans now?" she asked, looking at the baby boil softly. "Have you been managing fine? That wagon of stuff - what is it you do now that I assume you aren't touring anymore?"

"I'm going back to it after..." he hesitated, several thoughts going through his mind. "Now don't take this personal, okay? If it were anyone else, I'd ask you t'be my date, but Danny an' Rikki are gettin' married. If I bring you to the wedding, she'd probably shove a fireball down my pants. I'm waitin' for that to be over, and maybe a few other of my pals' weddings, too. Then me an' Cisco will be back on the road with our band. He spent his first year that way, after all. It ain't killed him yet."
He gave her a little crooked smile, "I don't plan on settling down, Edel. Every time I get stupid enough t'love someone other than family and friends, I wind up gettin' bit in the a** over it." He wiped the last of the snow off of his face. "Right now I'm rentin' the loft from my pop, workin' on bikes in the morning, and runnin' errands for Gramps in the afternoon, then gettin' whatever gigs I can at night. When I don't have him, his Grandma Monica does," he says, nodding at Cisco, who was still eating. "She's great with him."

"Married." she repeated after the reaper, her tone speaking for itself. Not that she had expected to have been informed by Danny, much less invited, though it did bother her a little they could never seem to get along despite having so many mutual friends....and acquaintances. The frost demon considered for a moment if a congratulatory gift was in order. It would most probably be charred to a crisp - her well regards will likely be better received.
"Do send the couple my well wishes," she told Roch, taking another sip of tea.
She pondered over Roch's words, feeling a little bitter as she had to acknowledge this matter was well beyond her depth. "If you ever need someone to look after him, I'll be here, okay?" Edel shifted her gaze back to Roch. "And you too."
"Everyone is moving along so fast huh," she remarked softly.

"I ain't movin' along," Roch said, wiping off Cisco's face with a napkin without thinking, "I'm just doin' what I always do--rollin' with my screw-ups. Although," he said in a softer tone, "I ain't that bad off with the way it turned out. He's jackin' amazing. And I'll take you up on that, by the way. Usually he's got either his Gramma Monica or my little sister, but I'm always lookin' for a babysitter I can trust." He went silent for a moment before changing back to the first subject. "You know Danny--why she don't like you is perfectly, stupidly simple. She's fire, you're ice. I love her, but she don't think that deep into things, even you know that." Not that he tended to think deeply into things, either, but he was smart enough to KNOW when he was being stupid.

"I still find that quite hard to believe... though you're right about us being different" she muttered, placing the cup back on the table.
"So - when's the next performance? Other than their wedding, I suppose you would be playing something for them, with the old music club members and all?" She grinned, turning to look at Cisco. "And I wonder, has he picked up a thing or two from his dad?"
Ivar was away for now, surely it wouldn't hurt to have a impromptu concert here would it?

"Nah, I'm not playin' for Danny. Her parents are loaded, they're gonna bring in a massive band," Roch said with a shrug, not really bothered. "I'm just goin' because they're old friends. If I could get away with skippin, I would," he adds honestly. "I'd rather not run into Amphi. Ever. Unfortunately she's gonna be at the wedding. Now I'm stuck searchin' for a date that'll be good lookin' enough to make it look like I up-graded, and yet won't have Danny tryin' to murder me for it," he said evilly. "And as far as Cisco goes--"
The little boil had finally finished eating and was thumping out a little rhythm on the table, happily keeping himself preoccupied. "He's a natural born drummer," Roch finishes.
