How long had he been hiding? It felt like ages. And yet, it also only felt like yesterday.
He was on a shore leave of the ship he'd taken refuge on, and felt as skittish as the day he'd boarded that ship. He was safe on the boat. Here, on dry land though... But, honestly, Akakios couldn't find him here, right? He was safe... He was far from what had once been home.
Only slowly did he relax, walking through the market of the strange village. He could buy some fresh foods, or a new pad of papers to write on...

It had been months since Ylli had fled the village. Months since their sister had died. Died by his own hands. No that wasn't right... it was Ylli who had killed her. Yes that was right. Ylli did it and when he confronted him over his cowardly brother had fled.
Akakios paused in his musings or perhaps it was better to call it crazy delusions. He had was up on a high hill overlooking a village. It was the first one he had come across in a couple of weeks. You see he was traveling in search of his innocent... no murderous brother. Yes. Had to remember that he was the murdering b*****d. He shook his head trying to clear it. Ever since the death of their sister Akakios had a hard time keeping thoughts straight. In fact many in his village thought he had gone crazy with grief or something.
They were right. Akakios was crazy but not with grief or anything so mundane. He was just plain crazy. Madness ran in the Sigalis line and it had Akakios in its grip.
Back to the village. Yes he had to keep his thoughts in order for this trip. Maybe they had seen Ylli or heard of him or something. It was worth the look. He began to make his way down the hill heading for the village.

Eventually, Ylli was able to focus on his shopping. A bags of apples and oranges, some rolls, dried meats, fresh coal pencils, and clean paper. This would do for now.
He headed for the edge of the village, and reached into his bag for one of the apples. He took a bite, and felt a thrill. Oh, that was delicious... Freedom from the boat, from worrying... The burst of fruit was a delight.
Then, something made his fur ruffle. There was a scent in the air... It couldn't be...! The chunk of apple stuck in his throat as he hurried to the edge of the path. It couldn't be...

It didn't take long for Akakios to reach the village. He immediately began to question people if they had ever met a wolftaur named Ylli. He had to describe his brother as well since it wasn't likely that Ylli introduced himself to everyone. He ended up turning down some side street and thus missed seeing his brother walk towards the edge of town he had just come from. He didn't have any luck with his search until he hit some stalls selling fruit. It seemed that Ylli had been here and recently.
Akakios thanked the stall owner and began the hunt. He sniffed around and soon picked up the trail. He made sure that he had a weapon so if he needed to fight he had something to fight with. He then began to run towards the edge of town.

Bright green and blue eyes darted in every direction. He had to be imagining things... He was paranoid. That was it. Paranoid. First time back on land, and he was alone. Paranoia.
After another minute, he stepped back onto the path. If he could just get back to the ship, then he'd be fine. He hugged his bag to his chest, and walked quickly away from the town. His legs kept him from walking very quickly though, considering how much they were shaking.

Blue and green eyes took in everything as Akakios ran. He didn't see anything but the scent was so strong. He couldn't be wrong that Ylli was in this direction! He looked again and then saw a figure in the distance attempting to walk quickly. Ylli!
Akakios put on a burst of speed and began to catch up to his brother. He wasn't sure if he should yell out and try to startle Ylli or stay silent. Of course if he yelled it may make Ylli flee faster. Instead he ran with all he had and thought that when he was close enough he would tackle his brother to the ground. And beat him or something.

His skin felt like it would crawl right off his body. Gods, why did he leave the boat?
Hearing the padding of running feet behind him, he cocked his head back to make sure he wasn't about to be run over... and his blood turned to ice. "Aka! No!" he managed to squeak out. The bag dropped from his hands, and his claws dug into the earth as he turned to run. He could think of nothing else. Akakios was there.... The murderer of his sister... Psychotic, twisted, and deadly. How?!

Akakios dug in when he saw Ylli turn his head to look. "YLLI!!!!" He screamed. When he was close enough he dove for his brother's leg. If he could knock him off his feet then maybe he could prevent him from escaping again.

That voice was like claws in his ears... His legs felt like rubber as he ran, his heart pounding. He couldn't breathe!
Then, he felt his rear legs knocked into, and toppled forward onto his side. He couldn't help it as he let out a scream of terror. He was going to die today... "Aka! Please!" He spun to put his hands out and try blocking whatever attack his brother might throw at him.

Akakios successfully knocked his brother down. He quickly recovered but didn't stand up himself. Instead he threw a sucker punch to his brother's gut. He couldn't stand listening to him plead and beg like that. He had to shake his head some to clear it. He felt the blood-lust urging him to just finish his brother. Yet he knew to prove his false story to the villagers he should bring Ylli back to the village for punishment. "Errrgggggg shut up will you!" He growled. It wasn't directed at Ylli, more to his head that seemed to be banging around with voices.

The punch hit home, driving the air from Ylli's lungs. His diaphragm went into spasms, making him gasp for air. Coughing and gagging, he tried to scoot back away from Akakios. Shut up? He could barely get a breath right now!
He kicked his forelegs against Akakios' chest as hard as he could manage to shove himself away when his lungs eventually allowed air back in. He didn't want to die.. Not now!

Akakios was kicked hard in the chest. He fell back and away from his brother. However he didn't lose his breath like Ylli did so he recovered pretty quickly. He scrambled back towards his brother. "You're not getting away! MURDERER!" He screamed while getting to his feet some and then falling back on his brother with a fist raised.

He blinked in surprise when Akakios fell back, and he hurried to get his legs back under him. Akakios was quick though, and Ylli felt the weight of his brother pinning him against the ground again. M-murderer?! He raised his arms to block the punches, feeling his skin stinging with each impact. Murderer?! "You killed her! That was you!" he shouted back, coiling his legs again to kick his brother again, his thundering blood now giving him a bit of strength.

Akakios punched Ylli a few times when something he said threw him off. Then he was literally thrown off or rather kicked off. He went flying back and he closed his eyes while shaking his head. Yes he had killed her. For betraying him by picking Ylli. No no that wasn't it! "Yes... no.... no you killed her! You were covered in her blood when you found me!" He yelled back.
He stood up slowly his torso bent forward. When he raised it there was a crazy look in his eyes. Yes Miranda had been murdered by Ylli. He had chased him down to bring justice to her and drag him back to the village to face his trial. But when he confronted him... Ylli went crazy and he had no choice but to kill him in defense. "Yes.. that's what I'll tell them. I couldn't bring you back. You had to die...." He said beginning to grin, "Time to die little brother." He drew out his long knife and took a step towards Ylli.

He panted heavily, his torso aching still from the gut punch. Adrenaline was soaring through him, and he rolled onto his stomach to get his legs under him. "No!" He felt tears of frustration burning his eyes. The madness in his brother... He had hoped, prayed, that they wouldn't be hurt by it. Yet, here they were...
He braced his hands on the ground to run, but froze again as the shine of the blade caught his eye. "Aka... Who is 'them?' ...You can't..." He hollered again, hands rising in defense...
But another voice filled the air. A centaur had seen the fight, and come to help. When the knife was pulled, he galloped into a full tackle on Akakios. "Whoa! Boys! Take it easy!" More taur were running over to help, despite Ylli's yelp for them to get away...
