The lessons were becoming a BIG deal in the Scythe Motorcycles shop. This time Roch had cleared a large part of the empty top floor of the building, setting up the kids' drum set right in the middle of it. Next to it was a full sized drum set, which he'd stolen from Casino Royale. He even had a set of tiny kids' sound blocking headphones--because Monica insisted.

He looked over the room, his boil in his arms, and felt quite satisfied. Sure, he needed to bring his bed up, and get a skelevision and a bed for Cisco, and clean the shower (there were things BREEDING in there.) but it was a start. The important part was done.

He looked at his watch, checking the time.

"You owe me two bikes for this!" Austin bellowed up the stairs.

"Yeah, yeah," Roch said, heading down stairs and to the garage door. It was open, so the bike work was showing to anyone passing by. Seiji should be out of school soon.

Seiji was out of school presently. The ghost was actually already on his to the garage as Roch headed down the stairs into the main work space of the building. Since he was planning on going to Junko's apartment after he still had his bag, seams straining under the weight of books. He hadn't bothered stopping back at his dorm, there didn't seem to be a reason.

In his back pocket a pair of drumsticks, the handles black with flames painted along the tops. A gift from a few years back, but they were still hold in there. Impressive, really, considering the normal life span of the average drumstick. Seiji had managed to break a pair in a weak once.

He could see Roch in the garage as he got closer, and the ghost grinned, one hand up in a small wave. "Yo!"

"Yo," Roch said. The garage was full of bikes being built by all types of workers. It was only an older reaper that didn't seem to be working behind the punk. This reaper looked a lot like Roch, and was holding Cisco on his lap as they sat on a gigantic motorcycle. He was showing the boil the parts. "Welcome to Scythe Motorcycles, bro," Roch say, motioning him in. "This is my morning job, now."

He headed for the older reaper, plucking Cisco from his arms. Austin got off the bike, turning and holding out his hand to the ghost boil. "Austin Scythe," he said. "Roch's dad, and owner of the place," he added in introduction.

"Poppop, Deaddy, 'eji," Cisco said, introducing everyone, even though it'd already been done. He looked quite serious in this duty, nodding when he was finished. He had done a good thing.

A curious glance was tossed around the garage and the bikes in varying states of completion, brows ticking up with a certain amount of unabashed interest. He'd never owned a bike, but he'd always sort of wanted to. They had just been outside his pay grade. Now, with a wedding on the way, and kids to think of after that, he wasn't sure Junko would let him get away with it. Even if he Roch was providing him with a means to make money again.

As the older reaper straightened up and offered a hand Seiji gave it a firm shake, smiling. "Nice to meet you. I'm Inoue Seiji."

Of course it seemed as though none of them had needed to worry over introductions. Cisco spoke up, doing a fine job of it, and managed to startle a laugh from the jikininki. He looked entirely too serious. "Thanks Cisco."

The huge grin he got in return was all the answer he would get. See? Cisco had KNOWN he did good! "I'll start on the bikes in the morning," Roch told his dad, not looking bothered. "It's how I'm payin' for the upper floor--except that needs cleaned up, too," he added for Seiji's benefit. "Pop, we're gonna go on upstairs for Cisco's class."

"Sure," Austin said, heading for the massive bike he'd been sitting on with Cisco. "I've got work to do, or else I'd come watch," he admitted.

"I'm sure you'll hear it," Roch drawled, heading for the stairs. He led Seiji to the upper floor, revealing the two drumsets. "I got Cisco some headphones to block the sound," he explained. "We don't want t'screw up his hearing." Although, seriously, did that happen when you're made of FEAR? Who knew?

He headed for the littler drumset, putting the little boil down on the stool. "Here we go, lil guy," he said, happily.

The ghost offered the elder reaper a wave of his hand as Roch led the way upstairs. "Nice meeting you, sir."

A laugh sounded as he took in the miniature drum set, and he poked at the base with the boot of his shoe before giving a small, amused shake of his head. That was just too cute. More so as Roch set his son down on the little stool that sat behind it.

When Cisco was settled Seiji took his own seat behind the larger set, assuming that's what it was there for. His bag was shrugged off and set aside, and he pulled his drumsticks out of his back pocket and gave them a lazy little twirl. "Starting with the basics, I'm guessing." The super basics. Cisco might have been born for this, but he was still barely a toddler.

"Alright little guy, you're gunna need your sticks."

Cisco looked at the sticks sitting on the drumset in front of him, then he looked at the large boil at the HUGE drumset next to him--

And he grabbed his sticks and promptly tried to crawl into Seiji's lap--because EVERYONE knows bigger is better, okay. BIG DRUMS!!

"Cisco--" Roch started out, trying to sound firm and failing completely. "Boil, you are just a handful an' a half," he says, snickering.

Seiji's black heart melted.

Laughing, he bent and picked the scarling up and set him on his lap, shifting his stool closer as he did so. Too clone for him to be comfortable actually playing, but close enough for the young reaper to be able to reach at least some of the drums. Clearly the ghost didn't mind this new arrangement.

When he was settled, Seiji looked down at his new pupil with a pointy smile. "Alright, you ready little guy?"

"Oh! One thing," Roch said, stepping forward and putting the headphones on Cisco. "T'protect his ears--as a Scythe he's gonna need all the hearin' he can get," he explained, ignoring the dirty look his son shot him. "You'll thank me when you're older an' realizin' that you've got perfect pitch hearing," he lectured the boil--

Cisco just made faces at him--and hit the drums with his sticks, because, well, he was TWO, and like Seiji had thought, he'd been born to play the drums.

The ghost paused as Roch stepped over, and he helped steady the headphones on the smaller reaper's head, chuckling at the angry looks the boil was shooting his father. When they were secure, and Cisco had started hammering on the drums in front of him, Seiji added his own sticks to the mix.

Opposite to the toddler's eradicate thumping, Seiji beat out a a quick, incredibly simple beat, maintaining it for as long as it took to catch Cisco's attention and hold it.

That was all the little boil needed. His eyes went to the drumstick, his own sticks pausing as he watched. Within seconds his attention went from the stick itself to the hand holding it, staring at it for a long moment.

Then he changed how he held his own stick. Tap, tap, tap--not quite smooth enough, or nearly fast enough. The thought seemed to be shown on his face as he scowled at the drums.

Roch, being the guy he was, summoned his guitar in bass form and started tossing in a simple beat to go with what they were doing. He figured Cisco's first experience should be a jam session, right?

It was easy maintaining the that simple beat as he looked down at Cisco as he attempted to mimic it. It was cute, and a little of that baby fever Junko was usually suffering from rose up in the ghost. He could imagine teaching his own Scarelings, this, or anything else they wanted to learn.

"Good Job buddy. Just try to match the beat, okay?" Once he could match it, they could work on expanding it.

His attention shifted upward as the bass cords joined in with their tap-tapping. The reaper was offered a quick grin. A jam session sound just about right.

Roch let them play for a little while, watching his boil catch on quickly. He was just a little squirt but he would be a genius. There was a mix of pride and plain acceptance in his thoughts that might have showed on his face as he pulled to a stop. "Okay, kiddo, I think that's enough for today," he says, letting his guitar dissipate. "You think so, Seiji?"

Cisco didn't look like he wanted to stop. He was trying to learn NEW STUFF, okay? He shot his dad a scowl, missing a beat or two as he tried to both make his irritation known and keep up what he was doing.

"He's goin' to be an all night boil, I already know," Roch muttered, shaking his head.

Seiji had long since stopped playing, giving the drums over entirely to the boil sitting on his knees, and really, the kid wasn't doing too bad at all. The beat was a little inconsistant, a little unsteady, but he'd picked up the basics with surprising ease. For his age, he was doing wonderful. Teaching him was going to be a breeze if he continued to learn like this.

As Roch desummoned his guitar and wandered over to them the ghost couldn't help but laugh as the scareling glowered up at his father. "Hey, I'm not going to get between a pair a reapers. You're on your own here, Bro."

If Roch wanted their little lesson to be over, he was going to be the one to put a stop to it. At least this time around. Seiji was going to make sure he made a good, lasting impression on the little boil so these lessons could keep on going smoothly.

Cisco continued to beat on the drums, and Seiji talked over them. "So what are you two doing after this?" It was getting close to dinner time, he wasn't sure if Junko had made anything, considering Seiji hadn't had a clue how long the little lesson would take. "You hungry?"

"Foo!" Cisco says, dropping his sticks and looking up at Seiji excitedly. "Foo! Foo! FOO!" He started bouncing in Seiji's lap, his excitement too much for him to handle.

"You'd think I starved the kid," Roch says, shaking his head. "Food sounds awesome! Hey, there's a festival in town, right? We could hit all the snack stands!" Clearly he meant ALL OF THEM.
