She had left Ferskja in the care of the other thralls. Her main objective was to find Timeus before he learned about the lioness she captured. If Timeus found out about the weak lioness, he would surely go to her to make sure she was alright. No harm had fallen the lioness, but Timeus would want to be sure.

Faustus, the son of Ferskja and Timeus had told them that he was going to hunt them done, starting with Ferskja. When Seema found Ferskja she realized that it hadn't been an empty threat. Ferskja had genuinely felt fear for her life. It caused Seema to worry a bit. When Faustus was just a cub, she helped raise him. It was an annoyance, but she did it none the less.

However, when she met him again as an adult, she could see the difference in his eyes. He had grown up to be a large lion like Timeus, similar built to her Aureo. When he was a cub, she saw him as a weak little brat, but now she was sure that he was a legitimate threat.

She would have to explain the situation to Timeus. Ferskja knew more about the situation, however she could not keep a level head. Seema could talk to Timeus clearly and objectively. They had known each other since they were little, growing up together and then becoming mates. If someone had to explain the situation to Timeus, it should be her.

She spotted him resting up at their den. Her steps were silent as she approached him. He had just returned from a trip to the rogue lands. If she hadn't been out hunting she would have gone with him. She laid next to him, placing her tail on top of his and rested her head on his paw.

They had been together for years and hardly spent time away from each other.

Timeus looked down at his mate, who was showing him affection. It was something she would do on occasion, though never when they were with sight of someone. The two of them had always kept their romance private.

“Is something troubling you Seema?” He asked. Even though he enjoyed their small moment together, he could help but feel like something was wrong with her. Usually when he got back from a viking, she would give him some space to unwind. Today however she seemed to have sought him out right after his return to the pride.

Seema was a quiet lioness and he respected that. However he did not want her to ever feel ignored. If something was wrong he wanted to know about it.

In the past they had had their fights. The first one being about Aureo and how he was being raised. Seema thought he was too rough on the boy and he felt he was tough enough. In the end, mistakes were made and Timeus knew that he was at fault. He had wished time and time again for a re-do, a second chance to have a son with Seema. A second son was given to him, but my another lioness.

Since then he had been more careful. He wanted an attempt at a family again with Seema, but she kept herself distant from him every time he brought it up. He didn't want to argue with her about the subject, instead bringing it up now and then to see if she had a change in heart.

Seema looked at him with her blue eyes. Their relationship wasn't perfect, far from it. There was a lack of romance between them, but they did care for each other. “I was hunting earlier today and I ran into Ferskja.” she explained. Timeus' body instantly tensed up. The lioness had been a sore spot for both of them. She had been the subject of one of their fights.

“She is fine, just a tad scared. I brought her here as a thrall so she would be safe.” Seema explained.

Timeus stared at his mate. This was worse then he could have imagined. Seema had never hidden her disdain for Ferskja, but he never thought she would make her become nothing more than a servant. “Where is she? I should talk to her.” He said, slowly getting up. As much as he wish he could believe Seema on her word, he had to go and check on Ferskja himself to make sure she was all right.

“Before you go, want to listen to why I brought her to the pride in the first place?” Seema said with annoyance. Her words stopped Timeus right in his tracks. “I told you that I brought her here to be safe. Her being a thrall wasn't just me wanting to get my revenge. That lioness has fallen apart since the last time we saw her. Her whole life shattered. She wouldn't have enough spine to be a freeborn. It would be only a matter of minutes until someone ripped her apart.”

Timeus looked at her and saw Seema was looking at him with completely seriousness.

“How was she in danger?” He asked, coming back into their den.

“Faustus of course, the beast the two of you unleashed onto this world. His threats weren't as empty as we originally thought they were. I won't be too surprised if he found out where we are now. He may not be the brightest, but even that rock head must realize that we've made a home for ourselves here.” She said.

His son had become violent with age. Timeus really couldn't blame him for hating them. Being compared to a brother he never even met and then being abandoned by his only family. The mistakes were already made. He couldn't go back and fix Faustus. “You were right in bringing her here and having her become a thrall. I want to thank you for that. It wasn't an easy decision for you to make I imagine.”

“If Faustus was near her when I found her, then he will not be far off. His determination knows no bounds. Eventually the two of you will run into each other. What are you going to do if you do run into him?” Seema asked curiously. Normally she wouldn't have to worry about her mates well being, but he was aging and was no longer as strong as he once was. Pair that with Faustus who was at the top of his game. It was obvious who would win between the two. “He wouldn't hesitate to kill you Timeus. You might consider getting a 'hunting party' together and get rid of him before he becomes a nuisance.

“And end my family line? I will talk to him first and see if he can be reasoned with. I would rather have him apart of this family then have him working on destroying it. I need him to continue my family line.” He said, getting ready to leave again.

Seema became furious at that line, thinking about how he was the one that scared Aureo away and made her son fake his own death just to get away from them. “Your line is safe. Aureo has managed to have cubs, lots of them in fact. I met one of our grandsons who seemed like he was thinking about having cubs of his own.” Her voice was snarky as she glared at her mate. “You do not need to keep Faustus alive just to make sure you have grandcubs. It already happened.”

Timeus stared at her in disbelief. “He cannot be alive.”

“He is Timeus. He faked his own death just to get away from us. When I met his son, I thought I was seeing a ghost. I decided not to tell you because I didn't want you to ruin Aureo's life anymore than you already have.” She said. “Now I think she should get going. You don't want to keep Ferskja waiting.”
