Name: Trendi Aphrod (Trendi for Trends, as in fashion trends. Aphrod for the Greek Goddess Aphrodite, the Goddess of love and beauty)

Blood colour: Landdwelling Purpleblood - #330676

Gender: Male

Symbol: A pair of scissors

Personality:

While not old enough to have many pressing matters on his mind, Trendi tends to look on the bright side of life and has no problems sharing that with anyone and everyone. He isn't shy by any means, and has no problem trying to weasel himself into any conversation. He doesn't think he is better than anyone he just likes attention and style! He gets bored easy, and has no problem trying to ride the conversation back to himself if it strays too far from his interests. Despite this, he isn't heartless. If you need a shoulder to cry on he'll be there, just watch out if he's editing clothes.. you're likely to be his next victim/model.

As far as the hemospectrum goes Trendi couldn't care less if you were a red blood or a purpleblood he'd treat you just the same. Going by the notion that love goes across the hemospectrum he finds great pride in linking that to the mighty big rainbow scarf across his neck. It gets him odd looks from fellow highbloods but he isn't much to care, he just plays nice with about anyone he meets as long as they don't have a hideous outfit on. (At least, if they are wearing it on purpose) If they do, he judges them. Hard. He doesn't quite understand that not everyone trusts highbloods, and finds himself in rough patches with "clients" that he latches onto. This is quite a problem with lowerbloods that tend to have boundary issues, and issues in general with his blood, and it ends up frustrating poor Trendi. As far as he in concerned everyone is a client, but he's finding that is not always the case. When attacked verbally from a lowblood he'll stubbornly try and defend his point. If a fight breaks out he'll defend himself and his honor, but run away once he breaks free in a cloud of ribbons and fabric. He isn't out to start fights, just fashion.

Tredi's hobbies include outfit making, socializing, and sweets. (Don't tell him sweet's aren't a hobby, he will disagree.) He spends most of his time making himself new articles of clothing, but will take the time to design something for someone else if he feels they need it or deserve it. As long as people are willing to listen to him yammer about clothes and style he's willing to help dress someone properly. His social attempts are largely aesthetic based, but he tries his best to relate to everyone. The more people he knows, the more contacts he has, and the better off he is if he ever needs something. He'll use people as models, someone to bounce idea's off of, or god forbid someone to just talk to. He loves to chatter long and hard about fashion trends, colors, and style, and will often go off-rail in the middle of a conversation about how one's shoes do not match their shorts and how CUTE a matching skirt would look on them but the longer you get to know him, the less that will happen. Sorta.

He's a chocoholic, or sweet lover in general. He's diabetic though, and doesn't quite get that too many sweets is a bad thing. (Cause how can sweets be bad? Sweets are delicious.) His small little work desk normally has candy wrappers littered across the place, his energy being fueled by the sweetness of sugar. He's far well privileged to afford the pills he needs to control his sugar, and normally faces little to no problems with his health. Despite this, this doesn't mean he faces no problems at all. Sometimes when he loses track of just how much he has eaten while working on a piece his sugar will rise, making him cranky, hot, dizzy, and generally weak. The same will happen if he skips a meal, his sugar dropping too low!

Strengths:

Creative: Trendi has little problem coming up with new ideas for his outfits, and it spills over into other aspects of life. "Not enough fabric to finish this shirt? Aha! That's ok, we have this." If there is a problem in his social circle he's quick to try and find a solution to everyone's problems. Whether it's with outfitting them with enough clothes to stun them into silence, or actually mitigating the problem, he'll do it.

Charming: Trendi tries, he really does! He uses his charm to get what he wants, and isn't afraid to turn it up to the max. He's agreeable, pleasing, and overall delightful. At least, that's his goal! He has no problem being the crowd pleaser to attract new clients.

Flaws:

Finicky: Trendi has a vision, and it has to be perfect. He's difficult and demanding when it comes to getting something just right, and sometimes fails to see that. While never on purpose, he does get out of control if he feels something isn't right. "No no, you're wrong! That goes here, this goes THERE! Come now, be quiet let me fix that."

Vain: Appearance is everything! Trendi might claim he doesn't care what people think of his style, but it's the very center of his life. He'll do anything and everything to keep himself prim and proper, and while his style always changes his goal never does; He's the best of the best! If his style is attacked he'll try to calmly give a retort, but it has lead to violence many times.

Weapon: Unsure at the moment. Do I need one now? Can it wait?

Appearance: Trendi is a splatter of color. While he strives to keep others looking good he fails to upkeep what is known as matching colors on his own self. He wears a rainbow scarf, complete with smiling clouds. His shirt is black with a purple pair of scissors while his shorts are neon. (Neon what? Not sure yet. Pink maybe? Purple? Blue? ) His skirt is an abomination of colors dear god why. (The skirt can wait till teen stage if needed, but it's a skirt he makes from stray pieces of leftover fabric) His horns resemble a broken pair of scissors, each horn representing a half. While not shown in the art reference, he wears thick black glasses to help him see close up since he is farsighted.

Home: New Hemisect City - His Hive is fashioned with books on design, clothes, work supplies, more clothes, hats for his Lusus, more clothes, and random traces of glitter. It's a stand alone house, but close enough to communals for him to go out and find work/victims.

Lusus: Giant Sloth named Slo-mo. (Seriously, he's sophisticated and has a tophat) Slo-mo, also known as Slow-dad, is a doting, caring father. He taught Trendi to always show his true colors, and to never let anything slow him down. While a tad bit slower than Trendi, Slow-Mo manages to keep up with his son and his antics quite well. He was apprehensive at first in letting his son interact with lesser bloods, for fear of his safety, but decided it was up to his son on how his colors should fly. Still, he travels with Trendi at all times, helping him carry excess fashion supplies as he looks for people to work on. (He has a little bag that wraps around his shoulder, supplies overflowing out of it) Slo-Mo wears a variety of hats, all made by Trendi. He has far more hats than every day of the week, and isn't shy about bragging about them. Since his charge is diabetic, Slo-mo tries to keep on top of his son's eating habits. While Trendi does manage to sneak off with sweets, Slo-mo tries his BEST to supply a good, healthy, tasty (As tasty as it can get) sugarfree assortment of candy. Slo-mo is also not above slapping his son when he catches him sneaking off candy. (Not a hard slap, more of a back of the head slap)

welcome to hivestuck!

for the hemospectrum he strikes me as a privaliged highblood who doesn't get the big fuss lowbloods sometimes kick up because /he/ likes them and /he/ is nice enough to them so what's the problem - is this the case? how does he deal with lowbloods who are clearly scared of him when they interact, or on the flipside, ones that come to him with a rant full of grievances against all highbloods? or does he just not actually interact with that many lowbloods at his age?

what are the results of him being diabetic? right now it just seems to be a random quirk thrown in, is there any reason it was included? does he have significant health problems?

weapon you can honestly hold off on till you get to teen stage but you'll need to figure something out by then and submit an updated application when the time comes! (giant scissors is my suggestion because /why not/)

appearance *wise i could do -some- of the current wild outfit but not the entire thing for child stage. i'd defo stick with the scarf b/c it is quite 'saturday morning wigglers tv' with the feel good vibes and i feel suits a little kid u w u

that's all i got that needs to be looked at - everything else is fine! good luck getting trendi done. his name makes me laugh, it is very accurate.

Thank you! Glad to be here. o3o

Honestly, Trendi would be too busy clinging to the scared lowblood, poking around their outfit, to likely notice they were scared. -laughs-
But I can see that being a problem for those with boundary issues. And issues with higher blood. Heck, I find that amazing. Poor guy will likely just try to help, and get a mighty big earful of confusion and ranting and possible violence depending on who he finds. He's take it in stride though. Honestly, if someone was -honestly- mad- about him being there, he would try and explain himself, and if that failed, respect their boundaries and leave. Being spoiled and privileged though, he doesn't yet understand why anyone would POSSIBLY reject him. "I help, yes? Now? Good!"

As for him being diabetic, truthfully it was on a whim. I wanted him to have some sort of weakness to him, something that was not truly visible to the eyes. He isn't DEATHLY diabetic, and doesn't take insulin for it. ( Maybe through character progression he will one day? Maybe. ) I imagine he takes pills, and very rarely has any problems. But he does have problems! If he eats too much he will get sick, dizzy, hot, CRANKY, etc, and need some sort of protein to help him. Same for if he skips a meal, and his sugar drops too low. I'll work on that section a bit.

GIANT SCISSORS. Yes. I thought about that, but was trying to come up with ways he would actually drag that around. Maybe strung over his back? To his side? I can try working with that! I was also thinking of a giant tape measure that acted like a whip, but that seemed too ambitious.

Appearance being toned down is fine by me! I just would like his scarf and glasses if possible, the rest is up for interpretation~
