Turning round the corner, Amethyst felt his heart sank when he found the park bench devoid of any individuals whom he could sneak up on to drain energy from. Energy quotas during the winter season were thankfully lower than the norm given that most people would be more inclined towards staying indoors and refrain from traveling unless absolutely necessary. But that didn't mean that it was a walk in the park for him between the heightened expectation that came with being a Captain as well as the need to split what precious amount of free time he had outside of work between his girlfriend Melinda and his Negaverse responsibilities.
He hadn't heard anything from anyone about the operation that took place at the New Year's Eve masquerade ball by far. Hadn't had a chance to make a trip down to the Rift to find out either. Perhaps it was a mission that involved only a select few officers. Maybe. In any case, he wasn't in any hurry to find out when he needed to decide if he should call it a day and head back or try his luck at one of the bars. Tugging his jacket closer to his body, he shivered when a particularly strong wind swept through the park and dropped the temperature momentarily by a few degrees, the notion of heading home more and more enticing by the moment.

Sitting in the trees of the pack was only a torture for the senshi of doves as she dug her nails back into the flesh of her head, black hair spray out around her fingers. Her body had given up on her hours ago and yet she had pushed it to keep going. To keep searching. To keep hunting.
Rocking on he tree branch, her breath was coming quick an rapid. The senshi in white was like a rabid dog, unsure of which way to go or what to do. Her mind was filled with the same though over and over again. "It's all my fault. It's all my fault." Slowly she would begin to chant the same phrase over again. Slowly her rocking would becoming shaking and then stop.
Her head jerked in a motion that should have strained her neck had she not already pushed herself to the breaking point. She had been out for twenty four hours but she looked far worse for ware. Her mind was beyond control as it continued to play over what she had done.
Phact had failed in her one duty. Her sworn mission to protect her sister.
Yet, as she gazed to the left, her head cocked and a twisted smile crossed her face. She knew that feeling. "Nega..." Her monotone voice nearly hissed as she closed the distance faster than normal. She was hunting. He would pay for what he did.
With in moments, she was striking from the back. Her hands out reached as she dove at the man. "Where is she?" Phact screamed, not holding back that she was aiming for his neck.

Someone was closing in quickly on his current position. Amethyst could sense that even more astutely compared to the time when he was still a Lieutenant, glancing about himself as he debated over whether he should stand his ground or leave while he was still able to. Seconds passed. With them, the safety afforded by whatever distance the Captain could have put between himself and the Senshi of Doves who was coming at him with a murderous intent.
He turned at the screeching that heralded her arrival, realising only belatedly that that was a bad move on his part when her hand that was originally aimed for his neck connected with his head instead. "The hell..?!" Stumbling back a few steps with a curse, Amethyst instinctively teleported himself away to lean against a nearby tree trunk, lifting a hand to press it against his head as he struggled to maintain his balance.
"Who's she? Have you mistaken me for another officer, Senshi?"

"Where is she?" The senshi of doves cried out again. Her body falling forward towards the ground as her target teleported out of the reach of her arm. Snapping her head towards the direction of his voice, Phact's rage filled eyes landed on the male. "Where are the ones you took?"
With that anger in her every muscle and vein, Phact pushed off the ground, her arm coming up to angle her elbow at the man. Logic was slipping from her. Answers is what she needed. Reason to believe it was alright...

He could try teleporting again but Amethyst wasn't sure how far he could go right now with the splitting headache that had developed from where he was just struck. Lifting his arms up into the air in front of him, he pushed away from the tree, barely managing to maintain his balance as he tried to put as much distance between himself and the enraged Senshi by foot. "Wait! Stop!
But it was too late. The elbow connected directly with his exposed abdomen, the impact sending the Captain back towards the ground with a pained cry. "You're not making any sense. What are you talking about?"

"Don't play idiot! The group of people you all took from the Hotel!" Phact's hands came down, grabbing onto the collar of his shirt and lifting as high as her body could allow. It wasn't much but she bent down! "New Years Eve ring any bells!"
Dropping him, she swung her leg around coming in for a kick to his ribs. "Where have you taken them?"

"What people? What hotel?" Amethyst winced, turning to glare weakly at Phact who now had him via the collar of his shirt even as he struggled to make head and tail out of the things that the Senshi of Doves kept insisting that he was a part of. When he was finally released, he rolled a few times across the dirt ground, his arms lifting instinctively as the kick that he took to his side earned Phact a loud hiss of pain.
"Look... I really have no idea what you're going on and on about. If there was something on New Year's Eve, I wasn't a part of it. You've got the wrong guy..." He backed away from the raven haired Senshi, a sobering look on his face now as the cross-shaped boomerang that was his weapon materialised in a gloved hand. He wasn't going to let himself die here at the hands of this girl over something that he wasn't in any way a part of.

Phact didn't care. Wrong guy? Ha! Maybe he had not been there but to not even know where they were holding groups of Senshi? Knights even. That just didn't sit with her.
"I will destroy you to get her back!" Her face was red with anger and even at the corner of her eyes, tears. She had not slept since the phone call...
Shanyume Time for Sidouer to break this up."
