"Curiousity does not serve you well. Have you not heard what happened to the last nosey nobody. She'll be dead, she is lucky to have survived . You aren't very intelligent if you think it is a better to solution to attempt investigation yourself. You are far off anyway."

"You assume I am investigating. Maybe I want to help. Maybe I believe in the cause. Maybe I want to rid the city of the terrorist problem. Ive seen the news, seen the documentary. I don't appreciate the way this all came to be, but that is unimportant at the moment."

The general gave a crooked grin, "interesting, stupid still, but interesting. I could kill you on the spot. I'm sure you've been spotted. Have you told this story to everyone you've passed? It's a likely story."

"I have not seen another as I made my way here, and I am not there yet, like you said still far off, but I would be stupid to believe it that I could just drive up, hence trying on foot. You all seemed to disappear at the ball. I only know where you are because you used the servant entryway to escape. Take them to ..."

The mans words were cut short as a hand was shoved into his chest and a scream was torn from his lips.

"Oops," the general said his grin no less crooked though more synical, "such loose lips. I don't believe your story."

He pocketed the starseed than frowned feeling an order signal nearby. Stupid man, of course brought company. Intentionally? Not likely, but company, yes ... and it was too close for comfort!

Normally Palatine avoided chaotic auras.

Well, not avoided so much as she didn't make a point of approaching them. If one happened to walk right into her she wasn't going to run away from it, but she had other concerns in her life that had nothing to do with the Negaverse.

Until, that is, they'd gone and kidnapped her oldest daughter.

Now Palatine was out for blood, and when out on patrol she went after the first sign of a Negaverse aura. A general, a bit above her level, but she hardly cared. There was something to be said for an angry mother, and she'd gone far beyond the realm of angry with the first hapless civilian to be killed in an attempt to offer assistance.

So she ran fast and hard in the direction of the aura that flared right on the edge of her sense. She could just see the figure up ahead. Palatine heard the last echoes of a scream as she approached, saw the man pocket something she could only assume to be a starseed.

She wished she could care about the life that had just ended, but all she could think about in that moment was her own kid.

Hey!” she shouted, rearing back like she meant to punch the general in the face.

Sailor Chibi Perdita was not ready to face a General. Precocious as she was, she recognized a General to be far above her ability to handle. The feel of his aura made her shiver more than the cold of winter night.

She ran in the direction of the General's aura all the same, spurred on by the feel of other friendly order signatures congregating in the same area. She didn't know what she meant to do, only that she couldn't stand idly by and allow the Negaverse to cause any more harm. They'd already kidnapped several Senshi and Knights, including people who happened to be close to one of her friends—wait, did she say “friend”? She hadn't mean friend. “Pain in the butt” was more accurate, “rival” more preferable. Oberon might like to pretend as if what happened at the party didn't bother him, but Perdita knew when he was feeling down.

She'd had enough opportunities to gauge the sort of upset looks that crossed his face with each test she happened to make a better grade on.

Besides, even if she wasn't strong enough to fight a General, it might be nice to see what one was like up close. She could add it in to the rest of her research. After all, the more people she encountered, the more she hoped to understand of the war.

The general turned to see a knight coming at him with a fist and he almost tutted at her spinning to avoid the attack and sticking his foot out in an attempt to trip her.

"You are a very rude woman and apparently very stupid, or did it escape your notice that I outclass you." He summoned his weapon, which appeared to be simple and sturdy sword, thought it had the most interesting handle, familiar even.

"If you have a death wish, however, who am I to deny you that wish. I could certainly be a death fairy. My poor friend, thinks I'm right." He kicked the lifeless body of the man he had been talking to moments before.

Palatine tripped over the General's foot but managed to keep her bearings. Rather than falling flat on her a** (or her face) she hopped a bit until she was able to regain her balance, then turned to face the General without a trace of fear upon her face.

Alright, so the sword was a bit concerning. But it probably took a bit of effort to swing it, right? Just because she didn't have an adequate weapon with which to meet him didn't mean she couldn't ******** you,” she swore at him. “Where the hell have you taken my kid?”

There was a lot going on that Peter wasn’t too sure about, but he did know they couldn’t just sit around and do anything. He hadn’t been out the night before, as his mother was too upset for him to leave alone, but tonight…? Tonight he was looking for answers.

“Don’t even!” he shouted, picking up and hurling a rock at the General’s head. While he thought Palatine tended to get a little ahead of herself, she was a good person. Or at least she had taken the time to help him before.

“You’re no fairy,” Oberon huffed defiantly, moving towards the scene, drawing closer to Perdita not because he wanted to protect her or whatever, but because it was more difficult to chase after both of them at once.

Andronicus was angry.

The flare of a General's aura, more powerful than her own but not so scary anymore, fueled the rage in her heart. A civilian had been murdered in front of her, by the Negaverse given the vanishing blade. They had hurt a civilian for telling her story. For trying to help.

Now he'd killed another. Heat flared in her chest and she set her jaw. The Squire jumped from the building above into the alleyway, landing heavily on the ground. Joints creaked slightly with a sudden awareness that yes, she still had ankles and knees and that it was going to hurt tomorrow in class. She stood, hood falling from her head, and summoned her mace to her hand. She held it as through it was a much longer weapon, the round orb pointed down at the ground.

In another time, the blade of a poleaxe would have dragged across the ground, sending sparks up.

"Oi, a*****e," she called down as another knight raised an arm as if to punch him. Good thinking, and hopefully with a good distraction from Andronicus, they could beat him to a bloody pulp. In the moment, she almost wished for her poleaxe - for a blade to end his sorry life like the civilian.

It was men like this who created the future living in Andronicus' memories. It was men like this that corrupted her and brought the end of everything. It was men like this that balance would never be achieved.

It boiled her blood. He avoided the attack, tripping the knight. The orb flared on Andronicus' mace, as though it sensed her intent.

"
Quote:
Squire: Change of Winds
Channeled for thirty seconds.
Andronicus can change the direction of the wind in a small (5 yard) radius around herself, and use this sudden change of wind to disrupt enemy attacks or knock them off balance. Can be used in short bursts, up until thirty seconds of magic 'time' is used. The change of wind is like a 30 mph gust of wind.

The general was growing quickly very annoyed and frowned deeply at the growing number of signatures. None terribly powerful, but he didn't like the odds at the moment. And he knew they would draw more attention to the area. They need to be dealt with.

He pulled out his crystal, giving his name and stating they had a problem east. We're they close enough for the others to feel the signatures, no, but if they headed east quickly enough they would.

He glared at the squire asking about a kid, "I haven't the slightest clue. I assure you, its your responsibility to keep tract of your own children. Shame on you for loosing it. I don't have it, nor do I ..."

A rock beamed him hard in the shoulder, "son a b****," he swore loudly, pulling a dagger from the end of his sword and tossing it with great speed at the chibi who launched the rock, although his eyes were on the pink knight."

Then he was knocked off his feet by another with a flare of pain to his back and the wind knocked clean out of him and he glared extremely annoyed, rage boiling under his skin. How dare they? Disgusting light mongers.

Mimisbrunnr had been tracking Chaos signatures, praying that she could find someone, anyone who could give her more information on Hvergelmir and the others who were held prisoner. And just her luck, when she found one, he was already on the attack. Against Knights. And there was another civilian, dead on the ground, just like the poor girl who had tried to help them.

That was sure as hell not gonna do. She positioned herself in an archer's draw and focused, and the glow of her bow brightened as she pulled back the bright, shining string.

"Hey, dilo!! I hope Yog-Sothoth is friendly!" She snapped, loosing a bright plasma arrow at him and holding her angry concentration.

Mimisbrunnr's Squire Magic
Mímisbrunnr's bow shoots plasmalike arrows. They pass through the target without leaving injury and vanish, and upon contact cause the target to, for as long as the magic works, "know" some terrible cosmic secret - the sort of thing man is not meant to know. It is impossible to define or pin down, except that it is very forbidden knowledge. At the Squire stage, it is mostly distracting, making it hard to think or focus on anything else. Once Mímisbrunnr stops channeling or runs out of magic, they forget whatever secret they "learned." At this stage, she can channel for a total of 30 seconds.

There was another cluster of auras for Glitnir to happen on tonight. He followed the pulses of Order auras surrounding the big, scary Chaos aura, and sure enough, he walked in on some people trying their best to beat the crap out of a general. While the beatdown was surely justified, it didn't mean he wouldn't try to get to get some explanations. "Hey, hey, guys! Hold up! What the hell is going on here?!" He didn't expect to get much, but it was the effort that counted.

He was not standing as out-of-the-way as he hoped he was. A voice came from behind him: "Out of the way!" and something shoved him aside. A blur of yellow, tan, and white settled into the form of a senshi with an egg in her hand. The senshi (Megrez, of course) tried her hardest to lob the egg over the heads of the other combatants so that she could at least distract the General. She had never quite gotten over her General-phobia, but she had egged a General once. Perhaps she could do so again.

Glitnir knew who this no-longer-a-mystery senshi was now. She was the 'Megrez' that Kairatos had namedropped to him and labeled as dangerous and subscribed to Castor's ideals. He was sure as hell not getting in her way, but he wasn't going to let her totally slide. "You could have at least said 'please' or 'excuse me!'" That was quite some entrance, though, speeding in with ammo at the ready. She must have picked up the aura cluster from a ways away. Gutsy, definitely.

It seemed he had happen across a very interesting scene indeed though also a dangerous one, even if the General was out numbers. This was the person who had thrown that knife at the park, he was sure of it, he had just arrived on the scene to see a knife go sailing through the air toward the chibi in the group. "Great...flying knives." He'd gotten enough look at the knife and shook his head.

"Another night full of the usual abnormalness." He stated with a rolling of green eyes. Watching the knight attack he joined the group but did not attack, not yet. He wasn't going to jump right into some kind of fight, especially when he was clueless of what this General could or would do. He wasn't about to risk throwing his life away, that would be stupid and pointless.

Watching others jump in and attack he sighed and brought his hands up, lacing his fingers together, and blew across his finger tips. He might as well join in and lend his own magic to the growing cacophony of magic taking place. "Chaldene Wisp's Secret."

Destiny City

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Chaldene Wisp's Secret.
This attack would go the same as above only this time the attack would last thirty seconds each time it's used and could now be used three times per battle. The significant difference however is that this time a person isn't simply distracted by the wisps appearing and vanishing only to reappear. But they are compelled, by magic and whispered words of encouragement, to look toward the wisps.

The same things can break the spell as before only now when the spell is broken the opponent would feel slightly confused and perhaps even a little disoriented.

She'd been asked to do one, supposedly simple, thing. She was going to have an extremely long talk with a Martian Page about what the word simple actually meant.

Not that she was especially upset with her patrol partner for the evening. The flare of a Negaverse energy was all the more infuriating--that they were even in this city. their home... While she didn't want to think about what a slippery slope it could be to neglect some of her team's rules as of late, she'd not made any attempt to contact any of the other Asteroids that evening. Even with the prospect of facing down a higher level agent.

Metis ran after Andronicus, catching sight of multiple moving copper figures and trying to move herself to where she could properly distinguish one figure from another. That one figure hit the ground however certainly helped her out.

Yet before she could use her own magic, white energy streaked across her vision. Too many were close to the Negaverse agent, too many she could risk hitting. Of course, with everyone else also throwing in their magic... The Senshi of the Third Eye held back, moving instead towards the two chibi senshi she'd spotted. She didn't want to go near the empty space her vision was alerting her to. The crumpled outline sent a shiver down her spine. She'd heard about what had happened to the girl at the park. How many people were going to be injured to keep them from finding the captured?

One voice that called out got her attention however, turning towards the figure she thought might be the source (Glitnir) before frowning. "What would you propose be done against a higher level Negaverse agent who just killed a civilian?" She wasn't advocating killing. She just wasn't remotely against an attack, either.

From position on the ground though he rolled feebly in an attempt to keep moving back toward his feet. He was hit with an arrow and a sudden knowledge came to the forefront of his mind, one that he hadn't been to interested in knowing.

He glared at the newly arrived squire only to get a eggy surprise to his bottom as little whisps seemed to appear from no where to taunt him. The bombardment of magic was to much and he stumbled back eyes wide clutching his head and before falling to the ground pressing his hands to it in desperation.

Moments later youma were emerging, a handful, or no particular variety. Though a very large lizard with a line of flames jetting from its back, stayed close to the general, a thousand razor sharp teeth threatening like a flaming blender of death.

"You all are going to pay for your bold lack of judgment."

Cybele may have been oblivious, but she wasn't stupid. She hadn't been at the ball, or heard about the kidnappings, or seen the murder, but she was experienced enough at being a senshi that she knew that the mix of Order and Chaos auras meant the worst kind of trouble.

There was already a body on the ground when she got there- but she didn't have time to focus on that, there only one Negaverser but he felt very strong and looked dangerous and he was throwing knives with alarming speed.

"Hunter's Deadly Grace," she called, summoning her bow before she even reached the fight, and released it as soon as she neared the crowd.
The other arrows flew towards the Knight archer and and the senshi in blue. Her own eyes sparkled as the magic sunk in, and although things seemed more clearly focused, she realized that the General was very outnumbered.

This... was unusual.

But when the youma appeared, she stopped trying to figure out what was going on. She ran straight for the largest one, a flaming lizard, aiming for what she hoped was a weak spot at the back of its neck, between its rows of sharp teeth and the fire.

Magic:
Cybele summons a bigger bow with three arrows. The speed boost they provide is slightly more noticeable than Hunter's Grace. She shoots the bow straight up, and the arrows automatically target her and up to two nearby Order aligned beings (including cats). However, if there don't happen to be enough Order aligned beings around, the remaining arrows will randomly fall, and can be easily or even accidentally intercepted by anyone else around, giving them the benefits. The arrows can target Order aligned beings within five feet of where they are fired from, but arrows without targets tend to fall closer to that spot. The effect lasts for 30 seconds. She can use the bow to threaten people, under the same conditions as before. She can use this attack twice per battle.

It seemed the General wasn't going to be very cooperative. Even still, Perdita watched him carefully, noting the crystal he pulled out. It seemed he was speaking into it. That was odd. But then hadn't the civilian from the other night mentioned a detail like that? Was that how the Negaverse communicated with one another?

As if they needed any more proof that this General was the agent who'd attacked the civilian from the park, he pulled a dagger from the end of his sword and threw it in her direction. Or, to be more precise, he threw it at Oberon.

“Watch out!” Perdita shouted. She grabbed Oberon by the shoulder and pulled him out of the way. Luckily, they managed to avoid the dagger. It clattered to the ground somewhere around their feet.

Still, it was a little too close for comfort.

Suddenly on her guard, Perdita glanced toward the General again to make sure there weren't going to be any other daggers flying her way, making a quick note of the other Senshi and Knights who'd arrived on the scene. No sooner had she catalogued their faces and outfits into her memory than a small swarm of youma appeared from seemingly nowhere.

Perdita clicked her tongue against her teeth and glanced at Oberon out of the corner of her eye. “I hope you've got good magic,” she said.
