Gerraden - Post 1
What happened here? To say that it was strange to wake and find yourself tied to a tree was perhaps startling. Thick vines were binding him to a rather massive tree, actually as he looked up he could see it was none other than the tree he had chosen to make a tree home in for himself and Rishima.
He had been working on it diligently since the war was over but...how did he end up like this? Straining against the make shifts bonds he found that they were not just vine wrapped around him but they had been woven to give extra strength. Bewildered that someone would not only take the time to do such a thing as well capture him he was at a loss for words. Was someone going to kill him?
It was a startling thought, who had he made an enemy with that would go to such great lengths to restrain him? Looking around he spotted his greatsword much to his relief although it was too far away from him to even attempt trying to fashion a way to retrieve it. With his arms pinned down at his sides...it wasn't like he could really do anything with the weapon once he had gotten it.
So what now? Was he at the mercy of whomever tied him up to this tree?

Jerarda - Post 1
She should of been working on helping Animah move, but this had been too easy to pass up. Going to find her alkidike sister Voll she had fashioned ropes to tie the sleeping man to the tree. It had been a risky venture after all he could of woken up at any time. But apparently he could sleep through an earthquake and didn't stir whilst the bound him. Ah but it was so much fun to tease this hybrid. Perhaps she was acting immaturely but she felt that Rishima deserved the best and if Gerraden couldn't get out of their little joke then...Rishima better start looking elsewhere.
Up in the tree's she had yet to be spotted by the young man, she gave Volle a small shrill whistle, their signal for when Gerraden stirred. She waited for the young woman to show up so that they could get started.

Vollerei was vastly amused by the sight of the bewildered young hybrid tied to the tree. "Really good job on those ropes, Sister!" She murmured to Jerarda as she moved up. "Good morning, weird one!" She said in a cheerful voice after she slunk over to the tree with a half built house in it. She was perched directly above him. Now, with no distracting wars about she was able to get a better look at this male sister thingy. It was mostly shaped like an earthling male, colored like a Shifter in fact, but had some features off her people. "You know," she said conversationally to Jerarda. "I always wondered how our Mother is able to produce these things... They have those odd stones, the different colors... and are not Sisters. Yet they come from a blossom like us... Does that make them sisters? When their male?"She paused and swung down to hang upside down from one of the branches as she eyed him. She didn't plan on hurting him, just a bit of fun was all!

Gerraden post 2
The poor man gave a startled look as voices became present. Both were familar and when he spotted Vollerie and Jerarda he had a sinking sensation grow in the pit of his stomach. Why did it seem that those two took such great pleasure in tormenting him? What did he do to possibly earn such attention from them? Over hearing part of the conversation between the two alkidikes he cleared his throat preparing to speak.
"Ah well, my mother says I wasn't born that way..." He managed in a forced pleasant tone. "But that isn't important right now, why am I tied up? I have a lot of work to do...so if you could let me go?" It wasn't a lie, Gerraden did have a lot of work to do. The house he was building still wasn't finished and he didn't want to give Rishima the wrong impression by being slow.
Struggling against the vines he fli d he. Too thick to break by brute strength and upon closer inspection they had actually been woven to gain an even greater strength. Sighing he looked to where Voll and Jer were wondering once more how long they planned on keeping him like this.

Jerarda's post 2 Taking the compliment given to her by Vollerie she managed just a snide smile as she watched Gerr struggle. Seeing him in such a bind was perhaps too funny and she could stop herself from chuckling. If she had been smart she would of gagged him as well. "Well sister, unlike us they are born in a more primal way, it's hard to believe that our mother would allow it to happen, but as we can see," Jer gave a generous way in The hybrid's direction, "it does." Jera of course wasn't against this other method after all of it wasn't for it then Rishma wouldn't exist either. Still it was a strange subject to be focusing on, it was time to change the subject. "So are you done that house you were building? So you could play house?" Sh teased knowing how much work he had been doing to get it done.

Volle looked over at him and then back at Jerarda. "More primal way? Like.... what?" She'd never really focused on earthlings except for food. And as for him being busy.... She grinned.
"You are gonna stay there until I see if you shift... like the shifters!" That would be weird! But also interesting.. she had all day!
Jer: post 3
Licking her lips Jerarda had to think on it. She knew that earthlings did things a lot differently though she personally had never seen it happen only the result of it. "They do something called....sex? You know when other creatures mate with each other? They do that. Then they have a baby inside of them unlike us who have the great Aisha bless us with a lotus." The sister explained after a moment looking back to Gerraden who didn't seem to comprehend the situation he was in. Actually ...she had met a couple shifters in her travels wasn't Gerraden the wrong color for the time of day? She poked the butt of her staff against his tied up body as if to rile him up. "That disastour? Why go back to building such a shack? It would only embaress you."

Gerraden felt his face go red though he wasn't the type to normally get embaressed he was starting to wonder if his love for Rishima was one sided. When Jerarda went about describing how earthlings mate he shifted uncomfertably on the spot. "Yea...h well I think he will love the place I made...hey what are..stop that." He protested as Jerarda poked him in the stomach with the butt of her spear. He looked to Vollerie and sighed, "I won't change...I am stuck this color..." He stated in a matter of fact tone. "So ...can you let me go?"

Earthlings were really animistic, Vollerei thought with amusement. Having a child inside you would be painful... and awkward...She pulled her thoughts away from that to smirk once more.
"Nope! You could be lying.... I'm leaving you tied up until the moon rises at night to see if its true..." Plus she had time.... all the time in the world! Though she needed food if this was to happen.....
"House? You're trying to build a place to attract a mate?" She snorted. "Better off trying to seduce them with food! Speaking of which.... does your place have food in it? I'm feeling a little peckish."
Jer post 4
Jerarda had to cover a snicker after all it shouldn't of surprised her that Voll's first thought was of food. Then again she was hungry herself, though she wasn't aware of Gerraden's living situation and felt that they may of been better off finding their own meal. "If we allow him to get food he may escape. Did you want me to find something for you sister?" She inquired giving Gerraden another poke for good measure. Seeing him flinch in her presence was...lovely. NOt that she wanted to hurt him but she did want to see him writhe.

Gerraden looked desperately to Vollerei wondering if he could perhaps convince her to let him go if he offered to make a meal, she seemed intent on food unlike Jerarda who just wanted to make his life difficult. "Ah..I can cook you something, though my home is closer to a shifter village..my parents may be home..perhaps you could talk to them about the birds and the bee's." HE pressed hoping that perhaps they would take this suggestion and go with it.

Vollerei chuckled; "Oh I wasn't going to let him go! Then I might not see him change! Anything he can make I've probably l ready had... so unless he's got some knowledge of non shifter or Alkidike foods... he has no way to bribe me. I was just going to raid his food supply." What did she want? "I can eat just about anything Sister... not really craving anything particular." She responded to Jerarda before turning back to the hostage.
"And you... can stay tied up. Why would I want to know about birds or bees? I really don't need to know the particulars of Earthilings! Just the info I've learned so far.. if I need to know more I find it out later~" She waved a hand dismissively.

Jerarda burst out laughing at Voll's remark she gave her sister a pat on the shoulder as she couldn't help but chuckle at the poor man's predicament. He really was stuck wasn't he? Serves him right for leaving himself exposed after all. What did Rishima see in this guy anyway? Leaning over to look Gerraden over she poked his cheek before poking at the hair that was dreaded. "Why do you follow our hair traditions? After all you are a mix and you never lived in our society....you wield that beastly thing you called a great sword....how is that even effective in battle?" Jerarda pondered out loud as she looked back to Voll. "Hey grab that weapon of his I leaned it up against that tree over there. I want to see it. After I will get you something good to eat I promise."

Gerraden didn't enjoy being poked, Jerarda really was enjoying this torment wasn't she? Sighing he tried to be firm in his resolution about being nice to everyone despite things. "My mother did my hair this way ever since I could remember. Why change it now? " He inquired as he stiffened at the comment about his weapon, he had felt a bit bad about choosing that instead of traditional weapons but hybrids would be the strength of the future! He couldn't be limited to just bows, spears and short swords. "There isn't anything wrong with doing something different right? I know my mother was dissapointed when i took up the great sword but its really useful. I could show you?" He hoped the offer would be enough to warrant him release, the vines were beginning to chaf.

"He wears it cause our style is the best!" Vollerei said with a laugh as she dropped to the ground to go see his absurdly large sword. "It's almost a waste of materiel." She muttered to herself as she hefted it in her hand.
"Got a good weight on it.. but you'll tire yourself out using it.... and its useless in a hunt. What use is a weapon that destroys your food?" If you could defend yourself with a weapon that was good... but what if you couldn't hunt? Then you'd starve.... it seemed so silly to have a weapon that could not be used for both... and something this big was useless in a hunt; you couldn't swing it fast enough, it'd destroy bone and meat and put bone shards in what you were gong to eat...

Jerarda looked over at the weapon and joined Vollerei it was absurdly huge. What was he trying to make up for with such a large thing? Was it all to bluff against an opponent? Honestly the only use for a weapon like this was to mow down enemies...human ones. Frowning she gave a look to Gerraden that was of contempt. "So did you plan on using this against your fellow earthlings? You can't protect anyone with something this large and awkward.." She stated with a firm nod of her head, and she agreed with Voll, it would be useless for regular hunting unless he was going after menzuri or other large predators...so what was the point of it? "What were you planning on hunting down the menzuri? YOu wouldn't survive a single encounter with one of those.."

Gerraden looked a trifle irritated at the fact the two were mocking his choice of weapon, but he still had that smile on his face albeit a forced one. "N..o I had no plans on using it against other people...I...well yes actually I do hunt the menzuri, I want to keep the people of my home safe..so.." he trailed off as Jerarda claimed he wouldn't of been able to survive a single encounter against such a beast. "That is untrue I have come up across one before and survived." Gerr protested although it was a bit of a white lie since he had his adopted brother Ray with him at the time.

jayoku since I'm not gonna be able to catch you on aim probably.. have a tag! Vollerei shook her head with a disgusted sigh. "If you're not going to use it against people then its a useless hunk of materiel! Couldn't you have picked a weapon that could be used for hunting at least? I can understand not wanting one of the alkidike traditional weapons, being closer to your earthling side or what not... but what use is a weapon that cannot be used to hunt and you don't feel like using on people?" She ignored the menzuri comment. He probably had help, she thought, considering how easily we caught him.... What an idiot boy! "Only good for intimidation...which doesn't work when you're tied up." She smirked at him. "Or are you trying to impress someone? Must not be working very well."

Jerarda Post 7 Jerarda gave a smirk, she was certain that Voll had hit upon the subject on why Gerraden would wield such a stupid weapon. He was trying to impress someone she was certain of it, and his name was Rishima. "I am doubtful it would impress anyone, after all what can you do with it except pose?" She managed as she went to take ahold of the weapon and hefted it off the ground easily. It was awkward though, being so long and heavy but it wasn't an issue for her. She then began to pose with it, seeing what Voll thought.

Gerraden's smile wilted as he watched Jerarda mock him by posing with his preferred weapon. It wasn't that he had chosen it to impress anyone, despite what they thought he assumed it was a good choice to help protect people. Though the two alkidikes didn't seem to think he would be any good at doing that.
"Well...someday I will protect people with it. I will go to the dying forest and prove myself." He stated with a nod of his head.

Vollerei Post 7Vollerei examined Jerarda in mock seriousness before she nodded in appreciation of the pose. "It does look impressive I must say... But I can achieve the same epicness with a spear! Bows are also impressive. And very handy in both war and hunting! Why not one of those? You could court this person you wish to protect with tasty food!" She had to laugh when he mentioned the dying forest; "You are an idiot! Has anyone ever told you that?" She snorted and looked at Jerarda; "The dying forest! And all to prove himself... such stupidity! Why court death just to 'prove' something so worthless?" She did not understand people's need to 'prove' their strength. Either they were strong and it showed or they were weak and that was easy to spot too! "Better to stick to important things.. like living! Or eating. Or having fun!"
