Kiyelt returned to the Perzi outcrop, the cats had had some time to cool down by now, at least he hoped. this time around he entered from the other side of the canyon. Here the entrance was a gradual smooth descent and he arrived almost silently. So quietly in fact that he intereupted a male and female in the midst of a courting dance. Both Perzi turned on him, clearly furious about his crass intrusion, he swallowed but braced himself for the onslaught. He was not disapointed, they struggled in a large cloud of dust, he got scratched in the face, accidentally stepped on a tail, got bitten, bit back. When the dust settled one of the perzi sat not to far away, licking its coat clean of detrious, while Kiyelt and the other Perzi, lay in a tangled exhausted heap, both breathing heavily. The one that had wrestled free seemingly unscathed had probably fought before, Kiyelt noticed it was the male, which meant his somewhat temporary truce was with the female of the pair. Charming, he thought, somehow he didn't think this particular lady woudl be as forgiving as Iniu often was with him. His sailscales snickered from the top of the canyon, most likely amused at his predicament.
After the Impa from last night they refused to let him out of their sight and not even bribery had rectified this problem. He sighed in the dirt trying to figure out how much of him was injured and how much was still functioning. While he was counting scratches and bruises the perzi managed to crawl off him to flop not far away but no longer touching him. He couldn't really blame her either, given their circumstances. He sat up slowly and winced when he saw the bruise on her poor tail. "I'm sorry" he whispered. That was an excellent example of how not to impress a female. His sailscales hissed a warning, it seemed more company was coming. He winced and sent them up to distract them. hte other perze, the one Kiyelt hadn't defeated sauntered off seemingly forgetting all about his date. "Your boyfriend is not very nice," he admonished the female cat whih was still flat out about two feet away from him. His brow furrowed, an he wondered how much time he had before she was up and hissing again, he wanted to try and tame her but felt it was more honorable to provide aide first. So he wrapped her tail with a bandage, that should support the vertebrae if they needed it. He hoped it was just bruised and not broken, he couldn't imagine what having a broken tail was like if it was anything like a sore tailbone, it was hard not to fall on your butt growing up in Zena with all of that ice.
He checked over the rest of her, but she seemed whole and healthy besides the exhaustion and her newly bandaged tail. Her eyes popped open. It was training time now. Word Count: 503

He carried the perzi into an alcove for some one on one time. He laid her head on his leg and stroked her. He figured she might have hit her head in the scuffle to be this out of it for this long. "Poor girl, all the boys just mistreating you, by all rights your boyfriend should be in here kicking my butt for borrowing you today. "He felt she would make a nice pet or at least a perzi would in general. He wondered about the companionable compatibility of perzi and sailscales. He didn't know anyone with a perzi and the people he knew with sailscales only had sailscales. The cat lifted her head , growled at him, moved away until something about the bandage on her tail ticked her off, she twisted around and batted gently at the bandage. He thought it one of the cutest things he had ever seen. She glared at him and despite probable pain, yanked the bandage off of her tail and spat it out at him like an insult. Kiyelt gave her a flat look. "Fine, risk a crooked tail, milady, you have that right." Cheeky old bat, he thought. Well there was no use hanging around here any longer. He slunk out of the alcove, darn stubborn felines.
