Lockes

It's a very odd position to find yourself walking down a forest path one moment minding your own business, when suddenly another like yourself, crashes out from the wilderness into your path. It's an even more strange position to find your perfectionist nature come out in this situation, for low and behold the Soquili before you, happens to have a bit of mud on his flank.

Lockes really never meant anything by how she wiped at it, she just wanted to get rid of imperfection on the stallion's coat. But, oh, then it smudged and she was going to wipe at it again, but the stallion in question was yelling at her, and goodness knows she was just trying to be helpful and he needn't shout at her so--

And before you know it, you're standing somewhere else. It feels as though you've just recovered from some sort of headache, and you realize, quite alarmingly, that your hooves and ankles are covered in thick blood. The blade that you occasionally use to cut down wayward branches trees is covered with blood also. How horrifying!

This has happened before. Lockes thought, and she suddenly found herself remembering several other incidents similar to the one that she was faced with now. It was always similar. She would try to help another Soquili with their imperfection in their appearance, they wouldn't accept her help, and then she'd be somewhere else, with blood coating her body and her blade. She'd never been able to figure out why such things happened, and no matter how hard she tried, she'd never been able to find the Soquili she'd met previously.

Looking around now, it seemed like the mud spotted stallion, was no different. He was gone, and she didn't fancy looking for him in the situation she found herself in. If he thought she was odd by trying to clear mud from his flank, surely he would think her insane if she approached him again with her current appearance.

"How odd." She spoke aloud, and then sighed. Well, it was past time to wash this blood out. She didn't want other Soquili to get the impression that she was violent.

She picked up her blade between her teeth, holding it by the handle, which was the least blood-stained of the entire blade. Lockes proceeded to walk away from the bloodied clearing, in search of running water.

She was happy to find that she didn't have to walk for long, as she was soon at a slow-moving river. It was deep enough to wash away the blood on her ankles, and she gave a sigh of relief. How fortunate for her. Setting her blade on the shore, she waded into the river, and she tried to think back on what had happened again. Maybe she could solve these mysterious happenings.

The way that I'll start it, if it's no inconvenience to you, is to have her only start to put the pieces together when Umbra approaches. Through the roleplay, I'll have her figure out what she's done and become disgusted and panicked. We can see how it plays out between them from there. Does this still work?
