It is said that first impressions are important, in Adam's case it surely was. Enlisted into DMWA during his teens, Adam became a serious case in the office of various teachers.
Having found his natural talent for soul perception. He wasn't completely aware of it's usual capabilities. But somehow developed the ability to read a person's wavelength. Being able to know when they lie. How they feel. Which allowed him to become a successful manipulator.
However, taking that apart, he knew nothing else about using the soul perception. Depending on the physical contact to be able to read a person's soul. Which came really handy during his first years of school at DMWA after being caught using that ability.
During just the first year. Adam was caught on by almost every night guard while sneaking out from the girls dorm. Rumored to have numerous love affairs.
This however wasn't proved until he crossed paths with someone even more obsessed than him for human contact.
The girl even blackmailed him to reveal his previous love affairs which would surely get him into trouble so he played along the game and the player became the played.
However this short story came into an abrupt end. When the girl, named Evelyn died during an accident at a school trip.
When the news reached him he was devastated, since he did started to love their relationship. Being the closest friend he had ever had.
With Evelyn gone and no one else to keep tabs on him, he soon fell back into his old habits, seeking comfort in other girl's beds.
By the second Year, Adam's luck run out as he was busted by one of the guards who set him up with one of the school representative's as a bait.
He was accused by his faults but refused to speak or give the names of the girls he slept with.
About to be expelled, there was one man that stood out for him. That man being Stein.
Offering to look over the boy, the doctor not only saved his butt that day, but also transferred him to his classes. Where he could keep tabs on him pretty much all day.
He was also asked to take physical examinations quite regularly. But it all had a purpose.
By the half of his second year he was diagnosed by Stein with Hyper sexuality disorder. Caused because of his immature behavior and opportunism.
Addicted to intimate contact with women, Adam was sure this was the end of it and would soon be expelled. But Stein had other plans.
He instead said that once they already found the disease they could develop a treatment. Which at start made Adam wish he was expelled.
Boxing, Martial Arts, Swimming, Cross fit. weight lifting. were only the beginning of a special routine Stein designed to keep his mind and body occupied.
While being a healthier way to confront his disorder. Stein knew it wouldn't be easy for him to leave that old habit.
But he could relate to Adam, knowing partially what it felt to be on his shoes. As the addiction Adam suffered was in it's own way, the madness that afflicted his soul. Much to like how Madness had a token on him.
There where sleepless nights. There were screams and even violent sparring matches. But Stein held a firm hand on the boy and did not let him fall into it.
The second year was a psychological hell for him. But by the start of his third year. It all looked so distant.
The routines weren't as bad. And heck he got into such a good shape. As a meister he showed proficiency far superior than how he entered knowing pretty much nothing but lecturing souls by close contact.
While not the best of his class. he was certainly not the worst.
But the impression he left after his scandals still left a scar on him as even now, most people tend to ignore him or keep him away. Nowadays he doesn't pay enough attention to it.
While he still misses the company, the tough routines set by Stein are enough to keep him away from trouble. At least for now.
Abilities: (Up to 8 )
+ Soul perception: Allows a person to perceive the souls of living people, and is much more of a rare skill. By focusing on an individual soul, a skilled Soul Perception practitioner can actually 'read' a soul and make accurate judgments about the person's characteristics, personality and Soul Wavelength. Knowing the Wavelength of a soul can allow a skilled meister to match or disrupt the opponent's Wavelength in or outside of combat, making it a valuable skill in analyzing the opponent.
"Yeah, I like this one. Every bit of info is a valuable asset."
+ Soul menace: By resonating with one's own soul the user can drive their own soul wavelength directly into an opponent's body through a physical strike on them. The incompatible Wavelength can cause strong direct and internal damage, it is even capable of damaging someone who is being protected by black blood.
"Better said than done. I hate the recoil."
+ Second wind : Once he's out of stamina and about to white out. Generates an powerful resonance that brings him back into action. This ability can only be used once every 20 posts. But doesn't mitigate the damage he will suffer after the battle.
"Works perfectly on the battle field, if you know what I mean."
