Ravindra blinked. What he had thought was a straightforward trip back to the khalasar turned out to be somewhat less than that. He had gotten turned around somehow and now was terribly lost. It wasn't raining anymore, but the fog had rolled in. It was dense enough that he could barely see to the next tree in front of him. He sighed, frustrated. Even if he flew above the trees, he wouldn't be able to see anything in this weather.
As he walked forward, he hoped he would meet someone. If he could only find a member of the nearby Padmapani herd, they might be able to set him straight. He at least knew the name of the location that the khalasar was nearby. Hopefully someone would know where that was if he met them.
He paused, ears pricking up. Had he heard something ahead, or was he imagining things?

Freyja was also on her way away from the Padmapani herd. She had met the unicorn Kumarajiva there, well, met for a second time. They had met once before when they were foals, but found each other again in adulthood. It was a pretty bit of poetry and some might even think it was romantic. Freyja had to smile at that. She wasn't about to look for romance. She was too young and too pretty to even dream of settling down, or so she thought.
The light rain had made way for a heavy mist. Unlike the other flutter out in the fog, Freyja wasn't bothered by this. She had nowhere in particular to go and didn't mind getting turned around and maybe going in a circle or two. She was bounding along when she heard it, the sound of another walking around. She paused, thinking. Should she go greet them? Avoid them? Or maybe... play a trick on them.
She smiled mischievously. It was time to play a little fun.

Ravindra was just about to decide that there was nothing out there, that he was imagining things. Then he heard it, a growling.
It felt like his blood froze. His raised hoof slammed into the ground with a sharp crack and his ears whirled in every direction, trying to localize where the sound had come from. What was it? A wolf? A bear? Something even worse? He had thought that the borders of the Padmapani herd were secure, but something could have slipped by.
"Whatever you are, I mean you no harm!" his voice was stronger than he thought it would be, but still shaken by fear.

Freyja almost laughed aloud. Knowing that her pale colors would keep her hidden in the fog, she had crept close enough to her quarry to see him vaguely. He stared around like he expected to get devoured at any moment, and his call out to her was comical. Instead of answering, she let out some more feral sounds. She twisted her voice to sound like the barking of one of the human's dogs. It wasn't exact, but she prided herself in it being fairly convincing. She'd been chased around by enough of them to have a decent idea what they sounded like.
