The strong female hybrid pressed out into the morning air. She had become adverse to leaving her home lately. The population on the supposedly remote continent had increased considerably over the course of the past few weeks. She had become curios as to the nature of the swell in enthusiasm in entering Aisko. Her home was buried close to the edge of the mountains. Tucked deep within the frozen world for protection. Uassae and Lanzecki protested a little as they moved to follow her across the snow. Erionda had no idea what it was she really wanted to be doing outside, but having been cooped up in her house for so long she needed the breath of fresh air. Perhaps even discover what it was that drew people to Aisko these days. It had taken hours traveling in a south easterly direction before she could feel a mental tug from her oldest Khehora. Her eyes searched the snow. It was hard to pick out most creatures in the frozen land. They all seemed to have a very similar coat. One that blended with the world around them. Erionda relied upon Uassae's sense of smell and heightened senses to guide her and help her hunt. Reaching for her sword Erionda paused. She had seen few of these small pups before. Never killed one because she found them cute. Perhaps today she could arrange to bring home a small one. From her understanding they were carnivores like her own companions. All her creatures seemed to posses the desire for meat over anything else and with her sharp skills with hunting it was a simple task for her and Uassae to gather enough meet to roast for everyone to eat. Something moved in the snow a little further from the pup, her muscles froze in place as she tried to focus in on what it was.

Ismiril groaned as he dug his way out of the snowdrift he'd landed in. Or, more accurately, suddenly found himself cocooned in. He sneezed, the sound muffled by the freezing fluffy mass that still partially covered him. The firani dovaa bit back a whimper as he tried to brush off as much snow as possible. He could feel the snow melting quickly, making it hard to get a good grip to get himself out of the danger.
Whoever thought it would be a good idea to send him, of all dovaa, out into the frozen wastes to do a bit of hands on research deserved a very long lecture.
Secretly he thought it was a training exercise for his magic. Some of his fellow apprentices complained a bit about how much heat he let off, especially during the summer when it was already hot. But really, to Aisko of all places? He's end up spending all of his magic keeping himself warm, until he ran out of magic and froze. No one would think to look for him and even if they did, there was no grantee that they'd find his body.
Small yips and a rough tongue swiping across his face startled him out of his depressing thoughts. He jumped, eyes widening as the creature he'd been sent to look for practically fell on his lap. He stared at the small canine-like creature, noting its size. A larger one was prowling around a bit in the distance, watching something. Carefully he turned his head, wincing as the puppy growled and pawed at the special cap he was wearing to try to keep his ears warm.
He noticed the figure standing a short distance away with a smaller figure nearby. It looked a bit like a dragon but he wasn't sure. His breath fogged in the air. The adult turned back to look at him and Miri's heart jumped to his throat. He didn't like the look on it and he really really didn't want to end up as someone's dinner. Swallowing Miri slowly pulled himself out of his half melted snowdrift and stood, legs shaking. The Ikri snarled and Miri reacted, a fireball flew towards the adult, startling both it and the pup into fleeing.
With a whimper Miri sank down to his knees and covered his face with his mittened hands.

Erionda paused in her approach. Watching the larger of the hound like pair. Her mismatched eyes wandered to the other for a split second. Sending a mental question to Uassae asking him just what was further up.
He sniffed at the air, tying to put together pieces that didn't seem to want to fit. I think there are more than one type of creature up there. I smell a younger version of that big thing... but I smell something crisp and hot further up. The older Khehorian responded across the bond.
The hybrid watched as Lanzecki took to the skies. He had no intention of just waiting around for them to guess at what was ahead. But a few moments after he had started his approach a scorching fire lept towards them. Yelping the Ayrala turned tail and returned to Erionda's side with a hiss of discontent.
"Dragon I'll bet. Firani too. Can we steal it's orb?"
Erionda gave her companion a side glance as she moved to approach the intrusion. No Firani was stupid enough to attempt to survive on Aisko, the frozen wasteland devoured life that wasn't already prepared for it. Which is why she didn't keep her companions out in the cold any longer than she had too. Snarling with irritation as the pair of hounds darted off. She could have used the pelts to build warmer material to protect her companions. Intent on learning the disturbance in her territory Erionda approached the source of the flame.

It took several long moments before the shaking in his limbs subsided enough for Miri to push himself up, even then his knees threatened to buckle on him again. His inner fire was stroked as high as he could safely get it, and he could see the heat bleeding off of him as he forcefully dried his clothing. The following chill would most likely garner him a cold, but it was worth it to not have to deal with his inner layers of clothing being wet and sticking to his skin.
He had no desire to become an icicle after all.
Groaning he stretched and wiggled his toes in his boots, watching as clouds of white drifted off of his body. Slowly he began to lower his temperature in small increments, getting used to the chill, until his temp was at a more normal variable for his race. It also helped that by doing so he hadn't sent his body into shock from the sudden change.
Shivering Miri looked around, noting the prints in the snow where the creatures had taken flight. To his surprise and fear the figure in the distance was much much closer now, enough for him to note that they were humanoid. He didn't have much on him, but it was enough to get someone through the winter-like area with clothing alone.
Shaking renewed Miri settled into a loose stance, hoping against all odds that he wasn't about to get assaulted.

Erionda paused as she closed the distance between herself and the Dovaa. There was a pause as she gave him a look over. There was too much heat for her to currently approach any more. She hated the heat especially any heat that reminded her of Eowyn. The hybrid could hear Lanzecki preparing to attack. Holding up her hand to the younger companion, she turned to look the Dovaa over. It had been a very long time since she had seen any Dovaa in the area. Not to mention a pure breed to boot. "What is a Dovaa like you, doing in this area. It's hard enough for most elements but I can imagine it's hard for a Firani." Her eyes searched the Dovaa over for any visible weapons. Daggers, swords, anything. He didn't appear to have any on him but that didn't mean he may not attack her for being a Hybrid. She was still heavily wanted in Eowyn. Clenching her fists together Erionda's ice blue eye flashed with the activation of her magic. She would need it incase this Firani chose to attack. The distracting mental tug from Uassae pulled Erionda's focus off to the left. There was another pup. Possibly separated from it's parent. "There's another." Erionda muttered.

Ismiril eyed the hybrid in front of him, and listened to questions though to him they sounded more like demands. It was utterly disgusting how at home she seemed in the cold, but he chalked it up to her being an Aiskala. He was sure he looked the same whenever he was in a desert, the weather so very pleasant to him yet hard on others.
He continued to eye her and her pet Aryala before answering, proud that his teeth didn't chatter once. "I'm here for research. We heard rumors that there might be an unexplored region in the area that might have an effect on creatures and their migration habits. I drew the short stick." Oh how he hated that fact. "What about you? Are you here for the creatures or do you live here?"

the aiskala hybrids eyebrows pulled together as her eyes tuned back towards the Dovaa. He was asking her why she was here? Obvious wasn't it? This was her home. She shrugged, she really shouldn't expect everyone to know why she was here. She shrugged at the question and figured it couldn't hurt to answer something as innocent as that. "I live here. And was out trying to gather information about the influx of people around here lately. There also seems to be a new creature about I don't recall seeing often. I want to gather more information on them. As for undiscovered land... I assure you, I've been everywhere physically possible on Aisko." "It's still there." Lanzecki finally said aloud. "That pup is still hanging around on the edges. Can we go catch it now?"
