Off to the northern region of Kranila, lies a strange island, where the cold never stops, the trees are long dead and cannot be revived. The trees are cursed, to absorb light, but breathe nothing but death in their dead state. It is out of touch from anything of Modern civilization and cannot be beseech by any ordinary being. It is here, where a being known as Absolute Zero, sleeps.

Kumori
The Shadow Magistrate
╔══════════════╗

In the middle of the island, a lone ice throne sits and waits, empty, forgotten by man kind. It was where the original king of Kranila once sat to survey the growing forests. Oh how times have changed for this forgotten island, the snow that drifts on through kept piling up everywhere else, except for the lone throne. Soon, a portal had opened up from the deepest pits of hell, where a Yuki-Onna, an ancient being, walked out with the battered and broken body of Kumori. The woman set him in the throne as his body started to recover, the lady soon sitting before him in lotus position. "So it seems your revenge is slow going..." The woman stated bluntly, to which Kumori did not respond, his ribs still repairing themselves. This caused her to sigh before she soon continued onward to ask him the following question, "How many? What were they?" Her voice echoed softly into the night sky as Kumori began to stir, the bleeding from his brow finally stopped as he soon responded, "Two.... a centaur and a forest Dragon... we need the Devil Dragon as soon as possible to end Kranila..." Kumori told her as his body still recovered at a slow and steady rate.

His arms and legs weren't in any shape to allow movement yet, but Kumori's chest had recovered. He started to chuckle, which merely baffled the snow woman as to what he was finding humor in. "W-Was there a joke on our way here that you heard?" She asked in a bit of a clueless tone as her left eyebrow rose up, tilting her head to the right to show how confused she was. "It's the fact I've never felt this invigorated before in my life... that battle was something.... but I went in too cocky.... but the next time I see Vraelios and his dragon.... they will die by the hands of me and Scythe." Kumori stated with a dark grin as his arms hard fully recovered, moving to rest them up onto the throne's armrests. "But.... we will be needing some... underground help.... the Umbras will be thanking me for giving them what they want, a chance for blood and redemption for betraying the Shade bloodline." Kumori told the snow woman as he slowly got to his feet, the woman getting up incase he fell. Miza stayed at his side as he soon said, "Besides.... my plan still worked, Highwind Tree's death has just started, and there is no way he can re-fertilize that place with how long he's gone... Come." Kumori told her as he stood up, fully recovered physically as he left with her back into the portal, the meeting with the umbras, was only the next step.

Techniques Used:

Passives Skills:
• Utilize Broken Strength Passive
This is automatically activated upon the user achieving a broken arm. The energy and muscle stimulating shocks sent to the broken arm are transfered from the arm to the rest of the user, most of it going to the other arm. This allows the broken limb to be numbed to pain but can be restored at an easier pace. This helps the broken being to weild heavy weaponry with only a single arm like a weapons master, except they do not have access to any of the Weapon Master's skills.

• Shadow Form
Most, if not all, physical attacks simply phase through the user. This can be a good and a bad thing. If all the opponent has all weapon and hand to hand styles, then the techniques that do not have energy coated on the weapons will simply go right through the user, making all other attacks useless. This is also bad because if the Shade attempts to attack, once can aim a physical attack at him, forcing him to turn himself into his shadowy form. By disrupting him, all of the skills he used are turned into smoke. The user may also chose to go into his incorporeal form once every three posts, at which point he can't attack.

• Shadow Regeneration
The Shades are known to be living and breathing elementals of darkness. Because of that, they are capable of recovering at a slow rate while residing in dark areas or in an ally's shadow. The body is constantly healing for as long as they are within darkness and having their weapons put away. The rate of healing increases with the duration they remain in the darkness. During the regeneration process, the user cannot use offensive Bloodline or Elemental skills. If they are attacked, they have to restart recovery at the slowest rate.
1 post: Small cuts & bruises are healed.
2 Posts: Gashes are turned into small cuts.
3 Posts: Broken limbs can recover within three constant posts inside of darkness.
4 Posts: Internal injuries or burns from light/flame/holy techniques can be recovered.
5 posts: An entire missing body part can be restored at a slow, and painful rate(Excluding the head or torso and it takes 5 full posts waiting in darkness to recover.).

• Shadowy Trail
A Shade does not cast a shadow, but can choose to merge with the shadow of an ally, similar to a ninja. In doing so, the Shade can act as a hidden bodyguard, emerging from the allies shadow at will. The Shade can't be detected other than by holy creatures such as Nephilims, or Paladins and Clerics.

--Shadow MQC--
Rank: D(Passive)
You can now bend the shadows around you to reach your opponent that would be two spears away from you as you can attack them normally while retaining regular damage. The Shade can perform D-ranked damage when at their full strength while in this fighting style, but this is the only range modifyer this style has. This does not spread to other styles, nor weapons can benefit from learning this ability as this is to be the shade's main Fighting style.

Deathly Aura
Rank: Passive
Requires: Rank Equivalent
Description:

A more advanced form of the Aura of Despair technique that is learned by all Shadowknights. They slowly transform their despair around them into a more putrid feeling of hatred and sadness. Skeletons the Shadowknight summons near them are well armed for fight, being more useful and more resilient the entire time they remain in the field.
The stronger the user gets, the greater their aura becomes, soon overtaking the enemies with the duration the foes are in. Characters of lesser rank than the Shadowknight suffer various effects – when one rank below, they feel ill and off balance. Two ranks below, they feel like they are standing on the edge of a massive pillar and all around them is darkness and must fight the urge to run away in terror. Three or more ranks below and the character is rendered near comatose from despair.
Limitations: Holy classes (Paladin and Cleric) can counter this Deathly Aura by using Holy Techniques. If they don’t, they feel it intensely (+1rank differential).
Succubi, Dreadnoughts, and Vampires are unaffected by Deathly Aura, and occasionally take amusement from the reactions of other species to it.
The Shadowknight CAN suppress their Deathly Aura– they do this to hide what they are if they are trying to be discreet.
This advanced aura grants the user to release their full form, allowing access to a variety of Deathscythe abilities at their strongest power.

• Vibration Sensory C
Must be at least Novice level
A useful skill, the user channels energy into their feet to sense vibrations on the ground. As long as their feet is on the ground, a user can sense where an enemy is if they are earth bound within 50ft for five posts. This skill becomes passive once the user is Adept Rank.

• Miza's backshield [ C ] : So long as Kumori keeps Miza sheathed on his back, he is able to resist more damage to his back. But the downside is that she can only resist up to D-rank attacks, C ranks causes a rank down in damage and B and higher cause full damage.

• Trusted Wielder [ Passive ] This Skill requires you to beat the Spirit inside of the Sword. Miza the Terror can only acknowledge those who can defeat her in combat besides Kumori Hell. Those who can hold her after the defeat of the Sword's spirit, can become one with the sword, gaining the knowledge to use her full potential of the Weapon Style: Miza the Terror. Be wary of the weapon style itself as it can kill the user if they misuse the Style's own techniques, the spirit would even warn them to be careful.

• Miza The Terror Weapon Style [ Rank N/A ] Miza has her own Weapon Style.

• Phantom Plane Origins [ Rank B ] The user's clothing emits a powerful substance of destruction, known as a Black Shuck Virus. The virus comes out to a maximum of 5 feet in battle, but only 2 feet out of fighting. Staying within the reach of the virus, the foe's own shadow vanishes if they are in the virus's range for 4 posts. Kumori's own shadow skill techniques will gain an increase of one rank for the shadows absorbed into his body(maximum shadows needed: 2) and can only last for 5 posts. As well as performing this, the user no longer suffers energy penalties caused from his class.

Demonic Prowess
The blood of the innocent courses through Kumori's non-existant veins, powering his body through death itself. As such, his max energy pool has been increased by 700 while every single one of Kumori's Earth Elemental attacks are now boosted with a natural life draining energy. Any earth that Kumori has influenced with his energy, becomes inhabitable by plantations, but unaffects other mortal creatures. Kumori's weapons and armor can effect skill barriers, normal/skill shields, and Armor.

She thought of many things that day, but none was something that she could forgive herself for. The Laphan, the beast, had overcome the kingdom. She wanted to help, she wanted to overcome them. But how?

They were hungry, it was obvious to tell that much. They didn't exactly get what they wanted, and Sage was unhappy with the predicament. Laphan, making people suffer, it was disgusting. Whatever they were, she was determined to kick their a** and finally eat something nice. She headed where her instincts pulled her, towards the eastern side of the place. She trudged along, in the freezing cold, with an empty stomach and a foggy mind. As she walked along, she began to wonder about how she got there. Running away from the vampire... Before all that. The dark spot in her mind, that brought along all the mental issues. As she tried harder to break the block in her brain, it started to press and hurt her as a migraine would. She tried harder until she was suddenly not there anymore. She was facing herself, staring deeply in her eyes as if it were a mirror. Sage moved, however, and her opposite did not do the same. It spoke," Don't try to remember it. There is a reason why you can't access it, you won't be able to comprehend what is behind the veil." Sage had questions, but they didn't have a chance to be answered before she was back where she was before. Walking across the barren wastelands of the Drum Kingdom. She exhaled slowly, realizing how much of a pain all that was. So she stopped thinking about it, wiped her mind, and just bored on ahead. Eventually she smelt something surprising, it enticed her sentence and made her stomach growl. Food. There was a village nearby. Her heart fluttered at the idea, and she was suddenly bursting with speed towards the smell. A dot in the horizon suddenly grew larger, and larger, and larger, until finally she was upon the village. The houses were small, confined, and appeared to be occupied with people. She knocked on the first door, finding the person to be a tall woman with sleek hair. She was pretty, and was kind enough to invite her inside. Sage expressed her gratitude greatly, repeating how grateful she was for the shelter and meal. The woman handed her a loaded plate of meat and stew, and it was gone within minutes. "Let me do something for you, in return." Sage willed, her stomach full and her body temperature back to normal. She wanted to help the woman that helped her.

"I couldn't ask you to do this but... This is a dire situation." She looked out of the window, fear washing over her face. It was as if the festivities from before never happened. "The Laphan, they are terrorizing this place. Of course I don't expect some traveler to face them-" She was cut off by Sage's grim look.

"I'm not just a traveler, woman. I'm a mage, so I'll do what I please. What I happen to want, is the Laphan to be dead. Now can you point me to the direction of their den?" The woman did as she was told, reluctantly, and with much concern about Sage's well being. Sage was suddenly reminded of the first man she murdered, the vampire. This woman was definitely different. Biting her lip, she ventured out of the house.

The walk wasn't exactly pleasant. As she spent her time in the womans house, the sun had dispersed beneath the horizon and replaced with the sullen moon. It had gotten a lot colder, a lot more chilled. It was getting harder to see, even with her enhanced sight did it become hard to not trip over stumps of trees or roots. As she stumbled through the forest, she heard something. Stopping, she looked around with watchful eyes. Did they expect her to just stand there and die quietly? Were they hunting her? She slowed her heart beat, and she was able to feel them. Around her, surrounding her silently. With a sudden burst, one advanced towards her with incredible speeds that she easily dodged with her haki. She was the superior being. They were scum compared to her. She was angered, insulted. Did they really think they could get one over on her? Especially since she was so much more better then them? That was the thing. They couldn't think. They were filthy animals. Another one tried to attack her, and she caught a glimpse of what they actually looked like. Large, over sized rabits that needed to learn their place. Another one burst forward, then another, and another. They wouldn't learn, she they couldn't even touch it. Suddenly two came at once, and she was caught off guard. The Laphan slammed into her stomach, launching her into a tree. She hit her head, not to mention the over ruling pain coming from her stomach. She spit out blood, standing. She was deadly calm, and in that moment the Laphans all attacked at once. This is when she would black out.

During her black out, her arms turned black and she hit each and every one of them with arcana arts. One by one, they fell. Though it seemed like there was an endless bunch of them. Mindlessly, she raged as hard as she could without harming herself. They were unable to lay a acratch on her since she activated her haki, and the sad thing was that they were too stupid to realize when they should run or gravel for their lives. Not that she would have cared if they graveled, because her wrath would touch them all. As the numbers started to dwindle down, she became even more cruel. She grabbed one, and ripped it out of its skin. Blood sprayed everywhere, and she hung its bloody white fur over her shoulders like a cape. This was when the hunters became the hunted. The Laphans tried to run away with fear, but Sage wouldn't allow it. She laughed wickedly as she chased, and found each and everyone of them. Ripping out pieces of its innards and spraying the white ground with red. "Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather. I love the snow, actually. I love how easily the purity of it is washed away, stained. This is why I am hunting you so viciously. You need to learn your place. You'll never be as wise as a human, or me.. I can make you feel so much pain when you die. But I'll keep things quick and bloody. For your own good." She was talking to the head of a Laphan, which had been dis attached from her body. "Now where is the mother. I know there is one more? You can't hide it from me." She chucked the dead thing to the ground and jumped out of the tree she was relaxing in. It was almost dawn, she wanted to get things over with. She skimmed the trees, looking for any signs of movement. The only problem was that they blended in. Closing her eyes, she concentrated and tried to conjure up where the beast was residing. She suddenly got a chill, and then she was off. The largest of the laphan, the most challenging. She didn't have time to use any magic before it was colliding into her, smashing its fist into her face so casually it made her almost puke with pleasure. She spit out more blood, before using as much force as she could to get through the skin, to reach through the cages of ribs, and to grab the heart. The beast suddenly went very still, and as she began to tore it out, she suddenly came to her senses. She threw the thing out and began to scream, holding herself. She was covered in blood, and it wasn't her own. She slowly stood up and decided to get back to the capital.

As she began to question how things ended up with her covered in blood, she was no longer there anymore. She was standing several feet away watching as she hunted and tore Laphans apart. The sight made her cringe, but the feeling is what really made her want to puke. There was this underlying feeling of remorse and regret, with every eye gouged out or intestines skewed she wanted to run to the beasts and cry for forgiveness. It didn't take long for the images to disappear, of what she truly did when she was blacked out. She was dangerous. In the middle of the cold barren winter winds, she fell to her knees and began to shake. She didn't know how she was going to control herself. Sage, this other person that took over her. How was she going to keep those murderous urges out? There was no way she could face herself if anything were to happen. The stress bundled beneath the surface started to bubble until her mouth dropped open and she began screaming. Just raw screaming; no one could hear her. She was miles away from anyone and there wasn't a single person in her life. No one was there to catch the broken pieces as they fell, it was all Sage had to just catch whatever she could. And it wasn't enough. It was never enough to keep her whole. As she sat there feeling sorry about herself she suspected many things falling apart in her life. The laphans were just on the top of the list. There was an old saying that always consumed her mind sometimes: Speak of the devils, and they should appear. She must have wondered off far enough for a new colony of the viscious beasts to live, she just knew she was unlucky. Or were they? Her other self had shown her that she was powerful, she was dangerous. The tears that swam down her face were replaced with a look of fury and anger. "Do you really want to mess with me? Really?" She looked up at the beings with eyes, pleading them not to take a step further. This family was slightly smaller then the other, but at least the mother had the decency to stand in front this time. She studied the things carefully as the stood silently. Perhaps they had intelligence? Enough to realize that she was a threat and they should walk away. But as they continued to stare at her, they begun to slowly walk up towards her. Getting closer and closer. "You know, this is pretty insulting." Sage began to ramble, finding nothing else to do in the situation. Especially because she was about to rip out their hearts and add to the stains in her clothes. "I'm sitting here, tired. I'm not exactly open to be attacked because I still have my hands but I am sort of defenseless. I feel exhausted. No, more then exhausted. I'm deadly expired. And you standing there won't make me feel any better. I can do many things to fix this problem. I can kill you. I can ask you to leave. Or I can leave. So first I'm going to ask you to leave." Silence met her words, so she tried again. "Alright, see ya." She stood up and began to walk when she was stopped suddenly by a laphan appearing in front of her eye sight. His eyes meant business. "So this is how you wanna do things. Be careful, I just turned your cousins into snow dye." She still had stores of energy inside of her, which she released soon enough. They lunged to attack her and She was quick to use it against them, crashing into their disgusting lives and destroying them quickly. Of course this batch tried to run as well, but with Sage in her own mind and in her own clear body, she was able to hunt them down quicker then the others. It was what they deserved. She didn't feel bad, there was no reason to. As she rose from the larva of the body, she felt content in knowing that she won. She would no longer have to deal with them, she needed to get out of there. So she made a b-line to the capital.

A lady had just finished cleaning house in this abandoned land, snow had turned red from her attacks on some of the pests here. As she was making a beeline for the shores so she could make it back to the forests, a small amount of blonde hair came into side, as did the sounds of metal shifting before she would come up to the man to a young looking man. He looked at her and tilted his head before his eyes had a small flash to them before he nodded. "I take it you are a mage?" He asked her bluntly, capable of sensing her aura as it was slowly calming down from her assault. He looked around at all of the dead trees and had a small smile. "I always wondered why my father enjoyed this place.... but it has that strange feeling of despair..." He stated outloud before he focused on the lady. "Am I correct on both occasions?"

She was cold, and she was ready to get out of there. Even her senses were numb, and that would show when she was 5 feet away from a blonde man and she almost ran straight into him. Sage jumped, her eyes flashing to look into his. Bright blue, narrowed eyes peered at him as he made the assumption of her powers. He was right, which made her even more suspicious on who he was. "Despair isn't exactly the best feeling in the world, unless you're a masochist. But you are right about being a mage. Now what are you? What do you want?" Sage raised an eye brow, ready to defend if he was to attack.

"It is only a good feeling for my father. the one who tends to sit on that frozen throne. But my guess was good." He told her before he heard her asking him her questions, nodding a bit before he let his own aura seep out. A small amount of black electricity could be seen clearly around his body. "I am just a soldier scouting and tending to this area. I go by Din and I was just here because I felt your power." He told her as he walked around her carefully, she already seemed out of it and only nodded, as he was used to the cold and no sight of the sun. "What were you doing here?"

His introduction didn't make her feel any better about who he was. She has questions, but she wasn't stupid. He sensed her, anyone would with the amount of energy inside of her. What she didn't understand is what soldier he really was. "Where are you from?" She asked curiously, in a lighter tone. "I'm Sage." She didn't want him to know she was on to him. If he was scouting, he must have been an enemy. Should she do her duties as a member of the military or flee for the moment, after exerting a bit of energy from before. Possibilities were endless on how this would end.

"I am merely here for my father's sake of keeping this isle filled with monsters and ensure it is more protected while I am here." He responded before noticing the red snow and sighed before he pointed behind her with his ethereal hand. "What is that?" He asked her resourcefully as his aura returned to his body, his arm slowly turning black with electrical energy flowing through it.

He saw the blood on her and panicked, anyone would have. What confused Sage was why he didn't seem to notice earlier, but she didn't complain. As he swelled for energy, and demanded answers she looked at him in the eyes and told him the very short version of what happened. "I lost my temper and threw a tantrum. Fortunately, the only ones who got hurt were bloodthirsty monsters." She told him. Would he still want to attack her knowing that there were no innocent victims or would he put down his threatening stance.

"I see.... well thankfully I brought more as they keep the Yuki-Onna here company." Din responded as his hand returned to normal, more monsters sneaking out from behind him from the large box at the edge of the isle. This allowed more monsters to inhabit the island and roars to echo out. "Although, a temper tantrum is very unneeded here, where calmness and despair rules supreme." Din told her as his hands were brought back to behind him, his eyes focused on her.

She didn't really want to say anything because he started to annoy her. The more she focused on her breathing the easier it was doe her to calm down. She didn't do it because he said so, but instead so it didn't turn into a fight. "I would appreciate it if you moved out of my way. I want to get out of here before the Laphans come and I have to teach them another lesson. Plus it's cold. I would prefer not to talk with the enemy any more then I already have."

"Well, I necessarily do not stand in your way, I am merely just standing in the middle of the road." He told her as more Laphans left the boxes to inhabit the island once more as if her efforts were in vain. "The cold is refreshing compared to the forest heat, the humidity damages the hair more than one things. But if you see me as an enemy, you best leave now then." Din told her as he seemed prepared for conflict in case she decided to start one.

Was he an idiot? She questioned to herself as she stared at him. Of course they were enemies. In a world like this, everyone was on their own. Survival of the fittest. "Bye." She walked past him, and walked along the road until she could leave the place entirely.

Din was obviously still learning, he was still very young in the developing mindstate. As such, he has yet to learn who was to be his enemy, so he was only one to follow orders. But as he let the monsters in, he began to tend to the trees as the woman was leaving. "I wonder.... why is it that everyone seems to be so hostile?" He thought to himself out loud while working on the dead trees, giving them 'personality'.
