This RP serves as Ethiriel's birthday party and takes place on December 31st at around 5:30pm.
Those invited are:
Cruz (Snoof)
Cesc (Atma)
Aina (Roo)
(There is no post order. Humans will be in another room until gifts are presented. This RP also takes place at Ethiriel's home on Gambino Island.)

Henry was in an eager rush. Not long ago, he had sent Gabe out with Ethiriel to fetch the cake and some last minute presents, making sure that the two were out for, what he hoped, was an hour or two. Ethiriel was none the wiser about what was happening, and the nurse happily spent this time decorating for the other guests. He did, however, decorate with as much silver as he could gather while keeping some for his Frei’s meal – it was her party, she needed to see.
Based on Anita’s neat idea at Cruz’s birthday, Henry also kept enough silver ready for each of the guest Raevens.
The door was left open as he was home; a small, paper sign taped to the door welcoming guests in immediately. The man was so excited! From what he had come to understand, Leo never once celebrated Ethiriel’s birthday and he was eager to make this a good one for her. His gifts were already packed away in lovely, chrome-like wrapping paper and set on the table for other guests to follow suit.

The mistletoe raevan had been looking forward to this event for a couple weeks now. It had been difficult for him to keep his trap shut after Anita first conferred with Henry about it by phone. A surprise party! He had never experienced one of this, all of his and Anita's and Minerva's and even Tango's birthdays were planned (though he supposed for Tango it was something of a surprise).
His guardian made sure she had the morning shift to get the scheduling right for the coming evening. It wasn't a long drive to Ethiriel and Henry's home and Anita took care to park so as to leave as much room as possible for other guests. The beach air was chilled and Cruz was bundled up tight. He hugged his several layers of jackets and scarves to himself but despite his shivering the croc was wide eyed and carried a huge smile. Beside him, Anita carried a large gift bag. She leaned in to peek around the open hallway after seeing the sign.
"Hello?" she called.
Cruz was vibrating with excitement and chill. "Thiriel?" Anita quickly shooshed him.

Anita’s voice rang through the house as the first guest – Henry immediately dropped off of his chair after putting up some streamers, and with a grin he called back. ”Anita! Cruz! Welcome!” Along the short hallway, arrows were posted to guide everyone to the living room. ”Ethiriel isn’t here right now but she’ll be back sometime soon!” he called again.
The small interruption didn’t deter the nurse from continuing his decorating, pulling the chair up to another corner and adding more to the already grand ornaments hanging all over the room.
”It’s good to see you both!” he exclaimed, giving them as dazzling a smile as he could possibly muster. ”Presents go on the coffee table and feel free to add to the snacks on the dinner table if you brought any!”

"Oh good," Anita laughed, relaxing, "Didn't want to spoil anything. It's good to see you, too. How've you been?"
While Anita seemed relieved to hear Ethiriel wasn't present, Cruz frowned. He wanted to see her as soon as possible and give her gifts! His fins shuffled beneath his coat while Henry gave them all the updates. Anita moved to the coffee table as instructed and set their gift for the tea frei among with the others. Snacks were most definitely brought for Ethiriel. She shuffled back out to the car, announcing she would be right back, to retrieve some human snacks.
This left Henry and Cruz alone with one another for the moment and the frei stared at him with innocent determination. "Who else is coming?" Tact was failing him for the moment in lieu of excitement. They seemed to be the only ones here at present, which meant they were early.

The woman’s laugh was met with a smile as Henry turned his attention back to decoration. There wasn’t much left for him to do but he was determined to get it done before too many more guests arrived – though, at the same time, the more there before Ethiriel came home the more help he had, but he wasn’t about to ask for it.
The nurse gave a small nod as the croc’s guardian headed out for a second, but it wasn’t long before Cruz spoke up and gained Henry’s attention.
”Lemme see… I’ve invited you, Aina, Cesc… and Zul said he would be coming if he were able to find some time. You’re all her closest friends so I figured a small party would be best for her!” Henry exclaimed, turning to flash a smile at Cruz. ”I’m glad you could make it!”

Cesc looked up at the house number several times. He checked his phone -- unnecessary things, considering there was a sign on the door, but he was always a little nervous about accidentally ruining surprises. He cared for Ethiriel, he wanted this party to go well for her. She had been so subdued the last few times they'd met...
Cesc rapped on the door with the back of his hand. His gift for Ethiriel was small, nestled inside a small blue box no bigger than his palm. It had been expensive, and he was sure she'd like it, but part of him wished it didn't look so teeny.
"Hello?" called the stag, opening the door for himself just slightly. If Henry was working and people had already arrived, he could let himself in.

Henry turned his head at the sound of Cesc knocking; while he couldn’t see the stag, his voice was heard clear as day. ”Come on in!” the nurse called, jumping down from his chair to move it. The decorations were nearly finished – they might not have been important to Ethiriel, but he felt it wouldn’t be the same without.

"Ohhh," the croc purred with approval, "Good, she'll be happy." At the familiar call of one pink stag, Cruz bristled with excitement and fluttered past Henry. How timely! The frei floated into view with a wide grin and waved to Cesc.
He was alone for this party, too, it seemed. Perhaps for the best, Cruz wasn't sure how well acquainted Ethiriel was with Vivi or Shep, as nice as their company would have been.
Behind Cesc, back out in the driveway, Anita closed the car door and hauled a few bags of chips and snacks for the humans that would be present -- or those with stomachs. She lit up a smile when she caught sight of the vibrant dawn. "Hey, bud," Anita scooted around him and looked to Henry for a place to deposit the snacks.
"Hope the others get here soon," Cruz murmured, floating closer to Cesc with his eyes curiously locked on the gift.

Anita's car was a blessed sight for Aina and Duncan both. Duncan parked parallel to the sidewalk in front of Henry's residence, collected their food and gifts (though Aina insisted on carrying the gifts), then walked hand-in-hand with Aina to the porch. Given that the door was already slightly ajar, Duncan walked inside with the Frei and peered around the foyer. There were a few familiar voices in the distance, and Duncan walked toward them, one shy Frei in tow.
"Hello, everyone," he smiled and bowed his head; he deposited food for both Ethiriel and for humans accordingly, though Aina still clung onto her presents. The Raevan glanced up at the decorations that Henry had put up in sheer awe, clinging onto the hem of Duncan's sleeve.
"Pretty..."

Once she set the lot down, Anita moved over to Cesc to give him a proper greeting. At the same time, Cruz moved back with the sound of another entrant. Both of them were set alight by Duncan and Aina's arrival and, without any hesitation, Cruz practically flew towards them.
"Hiii," he rumbled with care. The croc paused with his hands out, wanting to offer hugs but the little one's hands were full. "Aina, you get something good for Thiriel?"
Anita hung back, not wanting to abandon Cesc so quickly or overwhelm the very timid raindrop. She gave them both a bright smile and a wave. "Glad you could make it."

Cesc smiled and returned Cruz' wave as he entered. His smile grew as he saw Anita -- maybe he should have asked Vivi or Shep to join? Shep, he knew, enjoyed spending time with Anita, and it might be good for him to see her after the whole ordeal of the previous summer.
But, oh well. It was better this way, most likely. This was a party for Eth, not a general get-together.
"Good to see you guys!" He greeted. He lifted the little box as Cruz came forward. "Yeah -- just a little something for Eth. Are we putting presents anywhere, or should I hang onto it?"
This last part he addressed to Anita, especially as Aina and Duncan entered. He, too, hung back until the little raindrop was less occupied. He smiled over at Duncan and lifted a hand in a hello.

Duncan offered Anita and Cesc both a jolial wave; when he noticed Cruz approach Aina, he left the two to their own devices. "It's so good to see all of you! It's been such a busy winter. How have you both been?"
Aina, meanwhile, looked away from the decorations and back toward the crowd. When she saw Cruz floating toward her, her wings fluttered both in surprise and excitement. She wanted to give Cruz a hug, too, but noticed that her hands were full; still, she held them out for Cruz to observe. They were two bags of gold leaf and olive green, puffs of soft cream paper peeking out from the rim. She nodded. "Mhm! I got her presents!"
"How about I take those for you, Aina?" Duncan reached for the gifts; unlike before, she was quick to give them way, and Duncan quietly excused himself from Anita to deposit their offerings alongside the other presents. It allowed Aina to offer Cruz a timid little hug, though when she noticed the stag not far away, she looked up at the croc and spoke with a curious little voice.
"Is Mr. Cesc Ms. Ethiriel's friend, too?" she gasped, and reached out for Cruz's hand in urgency, "And-- and Ms. Vivi?"

Ecstatic for all the arriving guests, Henry finally set the chair back to the table and rushed to the door. Duncan and Aina arrived so shortly after Cesc he hadn’t offered a proper greeting, but he smiled and opened his arms in welcome.
”Gosh, thank you all for coming! I just finished decorating—“ Henry started, giving Anita a gentle pat on the shoulder before offering a hand for Duncan to shake, then Cesc – and of course, an open armed hug for Cruz now that the nurse wasn’t occupied. ”You can set your gifts onto the table. Cesc, if there’s any food you want you can lay claim and set it on the table, too, but otherwise the food-food is going into the kitchen; that way the raevans can all have their own little get together since I know Ethiriel’s going to be so happy to see you all!”
Immediately, a small ‘ping’ came from Henry’s phone. Digging it out, his face lit up as he looked back up.
”You’ve got five minutes.”
Scooching behind the group, the nurse quickly cracked the door just enough so that if Zul were to arrive before Gabe and Eth, he would know to just enter.
”Everyone, into the living room!” Henry said, practically bouncing.

"Oh, just over there, I think," Anita started, as Duncan came over with he and Aina's gifts. She grinned his way as their two freis took to one another with hugs once Aina's hands were free. "Pretty good! Gambino Winters aren't so bad. How's the garden?" she smiled to Cesc, as well, "and Vermillion?"
The mistletoe frei delicately scooped the petite prince up into his arms, nuzzling her hair that always smelled faintly of rains yet to fall. Her timidness kept Cruz from engulfing her fully and he pulled back with a smile. He looked over at Cesc brightly, then back, "Yeah, think so," Cruz purred, holding her tiny hand in his, "You met Vivi?" With a fond sigh, her hand was given a light squeeze, "She gives good kisses."
Henry's abrupt return was met with pleasantness from Cruz and Anita both; the hug was appreciated on the croc's part and he returned it with one arm (the other, of course, was still quite occupied with Aina's hand and he wouldn't have it any other way). When he confirmed where the gifts were to go, Anita gestured to the table with both hands for Duncan and Cesc to deposit their gifts. Then, somewhat suddenly, they were to move. Cruz looked at Aina and held his arm out for her. It was a bit unnecessary, given they both were floating, but she was so small it felt nice to pick her up and carry her -- if she wanted.
