No, but really. With the emergence of the Gods, things have begun to change. Restricted magics have become whole. All races except for those with listed restrictions are now capable of becoming hybrid races; thus, your PCs may now go on missions in order to become a hybrid.

Hybrid/Gene-Mod is generally the alternative to marks and sins. In order to become a Hybrid via this new method however, you must PM me and ask for permission. Also -

1. You must be an Adept with the intended character
2. You must write 2,500 words for your "become a hybrid" mission.
3. You must show me the post where you became a hybrid and I must deem it realistic.

4. The method of becoming a hybrid is brutal for any race other than lycan/vampire. It requires that you gear someone to willingly give you their "essence", or soul. Yes - in order to become a hybrid, you have to kill your target. And they have to willingly die.

In the span of this mission, you will learn a command spell to absorb the soul of another being and assume their power. The last requirement for the spell to trigger is their willing partaking of it; they will be aware of their demise if they accept, and must do so anyway.
