With the town in chaos, Afyse couldn't help but slink out in the early hours of the night when the sun had barely set to take advantage of the chaos. Grinning toothily, he stalked slowly across the ground, followed by Witikodad. His water had yet to be hurt, but the chaos was starting to effect even his better judgement. Plus look at how much they had? So much more than him! It was justified, then, was it not? Yes, it was. It was definitely justified. Afryse looked into the bad of loot. A lot of trinkets, some clothes, and a few books. Nothing too grand but it appeased the gnawing hunger in his soul and did the same for Witikodad who made a sound that was not all too dissimilar from a bear purring, and slumped against the ground near his charge. Soon he'd need to figure a way to quell the growling in his tummy. A timeline Note from Magi This is before Fever Dreams (with Odette) and Metropolis Oasis (with Zindel)

Magician Arcana Hoooo, this should be fun. Keionx always woke early, with the first tendril of blessed darkness. First came her stretches, keeping her limber and in hero-ing shape. Next came pushups, situps, pullups, and various other exercizes. Then came her run, a jog around the town that helped her not only warm up and become fully awake and stay fit, but to organize her day and familiarize herself with the area. Her run through Chittentown was not as long as her run back home, but it was acceptable. Next would come sword practice and – in normal non-drought circumstances – a shower. And then, when most sane trolls were just groggily clawing their way out of their recouparoons and groping blindly for clothes, their excretion block, and maybe breakfast, her night would properly begin. Which meant that she was often obnoxiously awake.
On this night's run, Keionx found – to her surprise – another troll out with their lusus. Usually, her run was solitary, even lonely, and she brightened at the thought of company. Jogging in place for a moment, she turned, changing routes to meet up with them. ”Hello!” she called, waving vigorously.
She hadn't noticed the bag of loot. Not yet...

"Hello!" The ice troll froze at those words (pun totally intended). Someone else was out this early in the morning? Hastily he stowed his bag of goodiesout of sight while Witikodad sized up their prey. Turning now to do the same, Afryse was happy to see that it was a lower blooded troll. They were less likely to report him, but that didn't make the looter any friendlier to the newcomer. "Hello yourself," Afryse responded curtly, and unable to think of much else yossy, fell silent. Witikodad shifted and shuffled away, a clear sign that their conversation was over. As he moved, the bagcaught the edge of the building and ripper spilling out their goods. "Slumshit!" Whipping around, Åfryse desperately tried to gather his found belongings. DraconicFeline e hehe hehe I'm glad you think so too!

Keionx was used to unfriendly louts and usually just pretended that they didn't exist. She was very good at pretending. ”What be thou doing in the fine thread of evening?” she asked, in her normal, friendly, jovial tone... and maybe a little hopeful.
So when they turned away to leave, Keionx was a little disappointed. If the yellowblood wouldnt talk to her, though, that wasn't the end of the world! She figured she could, at least, try a new route. As she started to run past him, his strangely bulging bag ripped to reveal...
Goods.
Keionx stopped, staring. These were goods of the sort one found around, of many different shapes and styles and colors. Her smile faded from her face. These were not likely to be the yellowblood's own items.
”Where didst thou get those...” she asked, her tone now... dangerous.

Busted. Looting wasn't something that the Yellow blood did. As a matter of fact, he could remember it once before when times were bad. Hunting was simply not and option with how thirsty they both were. Witikodad growled softly. Afryse could make out the clatter of bones clearing in the early evening air. Things were becoming dangerous. "Around." Afryse snapped and started to stuff the things in the bag frantically. Witikdad groaned, and he sound of bones hitting bones became more pronounced. A faint sheen of nervous sweat lay on the ice trolls forehead, "Why doth you care?"This was bad. This was really, really bad.

Around. Oh yes, around. Keionx knew where 'around' was and it seemed that the yellowblood and his lusus knew it too. She crossed her arms and glared at the troll defiantly. ”It is wrong to steal.” she said shortly, an image of THAT thief coming into her mind as if summoned. Just thinking about the orangeblood made Keionx angry... angrier.
”Thou shall return thy... ill gotten gains... to whence they came.” she demanded. ”Or else.”
Or else... what? Keionx had her sword with her, and she was not afraid to use it to beat some sense into the troll... of course, that lusus was awfully big...
But she was a hero. She could handle it.
~~~
Not too far away, an orangeblooded musclebeast trotted through the streets. Beastdad was there to check on his baby before Zariah finalized his plans for his own adventure. Beastdad, of course, knew which troll needed the most coddling and protection, but he wanted to make sure Keionx was all right and well situated before he went with the weaker twin. Also, he just wanted to see her. She was HIS troll, after all, and Zariah – for all he adored the boy – was adopted. Beastdad couldn't help worrying about her all the time she was away.
He knew she was staying with the nice redblooded boy with the sweet sheep lusus, but Beastdad had gotten lost and couldn't find the redblood's home, or the library, or get his bearings. He figured he'd find the right place eventually, if he just kept walking...
If they kept this stand off going for much longer, Witiko dad was eventually going to launch at Keinox. That wouldn't do. This was going badly and all he wanted to do was just get some stuff! Sure it wasn't his stuff, but it was just junk anyway. Frustrated tears clung to his lids. Damn it all to heck! Grabbing what he could, he spun on heel and throw it at Witikodad. Despite the slowness the creature had been displaying, it caught the package with lightening fast reflexes. Almost having swallowed it into his maw instantaneously. Growling in delight, the beast turned and began to run. It's movements were jerky and the joints worked the pelt awkwardly. Even stranger was its spider like attitude, of clinging and moving along walls with ease. Afryse turned and narrowed his eyes at Keinox. There were still things here and he could face her like she wanted, "What if I said no? What then, Princess Patrol Pants?"
Keionx let out a yell and started for the beast, but the young troll blocked her path and their parent was soon out of range and sight. She put her hand on her sword hilt.
Princess patrol pants?! Really?!
”Then I force thee to do so.” she growled, partway drawing her blade in threat. There were things here, and that would be a good start. Honestly, she was hoping the boy would capituate... she liked action in the morning, but not violence.
But she couldn't sit back and let him steal.
-----
At some point, Beastdad knew, he would have to find some kind of map store and buy a map. Somehow. He was sure he was hopelessly lost. Again, that was fine. He'd find his way eventually. But he was unusually impatient. Kei was his troll, after all, and he needed to see her in a way that Zariah would never satisfy.
His pointed ears twitched at the sound of voices and growls, and – curious and adventurous as he was – he began to trot in that direction...
Afryse wasn't a coward when it came to fighting, but he knew when ot fight and when to run. Right now, there was no point in fighting the girl. Sure, he wanted to beat her up a bit, especially for being so gogsogging annoying, but all he had was his powers. He wasn't willing to show them off. Smirking, he winked at the girl and turned, running after his father. Witikodad was moving quickly, a panting huff issuing regularly like a steam engines chuff. He growled occasionally, like a warning to some unseen threat. Almost home... Almost... Was that another lusus? He ignored it, and kept moving.
Magician Arcana Lets call it finished? Ya? Why did thieves always run? Keionx broke into a run after him. ”Stop!” she shouted, sheathing her sword to give her more running power and less of a danger of hurting herself on her own blade.
She had great stamina, but he had a head start, and she had also been jogging for the past few hours...
~~~
Yes! That was his baby's voice! Beastdad sped into a gallop, charging forward to meet her. He changed directions as he noted that she was chasing something, and ran along beside her.
What was she doing?
~~~
”Dad?!” she said, startled by the musclebeast's sudden appearance by her side. She felt half relieved, half annoyed – she was able to handle herself, but admittedly...
”That boy is a thief! He and his lusus absconded with goods!” she announced, pointing. But the boy had vanished out of her sight in the moments she had spent looking at her lusus. ”No!” she exclaimed, frustrated, running on ahead.
~~~
Beastdad easily kept up with his troll, pleased that she was taking matters so clearly into her own hands. But he saw no boy, or lusus. Hmm...
~~~
Eventually, Keionx tired of looking. She wanted to go back to Ephias's hive and change – a shower, with this drought, was out of the question. Fuming, she looked at her father. It was his fault that the thief had gotten away. She should be angry with him.
Except...
Except she was really happy to see him. She sighed, and hugged her lusus. ”Hello, dad.” she murmured.
~~~
Beastdad encircled Keionx with his thick, powerful arms and hugged her tightly and lovingly, cooing softly.
Hello, honey.
