Standing at the spaceport, Ida shift from foot to foot nervously and ran her dark hands down over the folds of her dress, fussing with the folds of it where her gold belt cinched it in above her hips. A slight clearing of the throat nearby stilled her hands and she returned them to a rest position in front of her, one curled over the other as she sent the source of the noise a sideways glance.

Natalia, of course. One of her tutors... the woman had helped her prepare for this meeting, so of course every strand of dark, curling hair and fold of filmy cloth was already perfectly arranged. There was a warm smile on her dappled face, though, that took the sting out of the rebuke. It said 'be still... you look perfect, remember? Be calm.' How often had her friend slash teacher told her these things? More than she could count, really. Ida offered her a small smile back and turned her face towards the ship as its passengers disembarked, escorted by men and women from Dactyl.

Brown eyes eagerly drank in each new face, rocking up onto her bare toes to try and catch sight of the very important person that was to be on this ship. Youthful impatience... that's what this was. Natalia said she would grow out of it in time. It was hard to be patient, her status as Ida still so fresh and squeaky new, waiting to meet one of the famed Koronis senshi. Granted, she was one of them now, but still... she'd learned about the other asteroids in the family in school, it hardly felt real even now.

"This is Sailor Nassovia, remember." A deep voice said from her other side.

"I remember, Orion... you've only told me ten different times, on top of the brushing up I did when you told me she was coming." Ida said to her other tutor, giving the red haired man another of her warm smiles.

"True, but we both know how much repetition it takes for you to retain things." He teased her, reaching to tweak one of the curls behind her ear before he straightened up again and clasped his hands behind him.

Nassovia hopped slightly in excitement as she walked, jostling the contents of the alabaster canister in her arms. It was the first time she had ever been off of her home planet. The journey had been more spectacular than she had ever imagined and the crew of the spacecraft had been remarkably patient with her font of inquisitiveness (though the incident with the underquail jelly left at least two crew members rather anxious for the journey to be over).

"Don't jump so much; you'll ruin the gift," admonished a smiling woman, one of Nassovia's two official attendants for the journey. Her hair was honeysuckle pink and pulled up into an impossibly spherical beehive. The hoops at the ends of her sleeves, giving them the conical shape fashionable on Nassovia, clinked against er own alabaster canister.

"I know, Oola! I know!" Nassovia tried to sit still for a moment before whirling around to face the woman, "But I'm so excited! Do you think she'll like this stuff? I don't see why we couldn't bring the seed powders."

"Because not every society approves of them," yawned a second, older woman seated in a wheelchair of sorts. She was also named Oola (it was a common name among the Nassovi). Sausage curls of white hair poured out from the braided bun atop her head. She stroked the shimmering textiles on her lap. "These gifts are appropriate for cross-cultural diplomacy." That last part was said with a bit of a dramatic flair and a wink.

"Well that's good! These are all my favorites! I couldn't possibly think of visiting someone without bringing something. Do you think there's enough incense? I think I'd go through all of this pretty fast. Are the fruit preserves okay? The cakes? I didn't drop them, I promise! Have you met a Sailor Ida before? The Sailor Ida. What's the proper way to say it? What do I do if I have to pee?"

The Oola's chuckled.

"You ask to use the toilet," the first replied.

"Obviously," the second added.

"Discretely?" offered the second Oola's nurse, Balm, who wasn't an official attendant but the second Oola needed the extra help.

Both Oola's nodded in agreement, "That would be best."

The other questions were all forgotten by everyone present when Nassovia spotted a group waiting up ahead, "Is that them? IDA, IS THAT YOU?"

Her excitement could be contained no more. Without waiting for a reply from either the group or her brain, Nassovia dashed forward to greet them, "It's meeeee, Nassoviaaaaaaaaa!"

The Oola's were doubled over in laughter as they were left behind.

Ida gave her tutor a wrinkled nose for the hair pull, but the tease as soon forgotten when the delegation disembarked. Their clothing and manner were expected, she had seen pictures and read up on the cultural history of Nassovia, but it was still one thing to look at the real thing and not an image on a vid screen. The smooth lines of their clothes and hair were pleasing, but strange in their unnatural flow. For all the whimsy in the shapes, Ida suspected a lot of time and special equipment, for lack of a better word, went into achieving them.

Suddenly, a blue haired girl broke from the group and began to run towards them, Ida's eyes widening as her name was shouted above the hum and murmur of the crowds around them. She heard a low, rough chuckle from the man beside her before the off-worlder was on them, some kind of containing clutched in her pale arms.

Nassovia?

Ida stared at the girl with wonder, thinking faintly how absurdly different she was from what she had expected. Someone older, for one, but that was silly, wasn't it? She must have read somewhere that Sailor Nassovia was near her own age, but it was sometimes hard to align imaginings with the things you hear.

"Ah! Hello!" She stumbled as Ida spread a smile across her face, unable to help it when faced with the boisterous, care-free energy of her Asteroid Cousin. "I mean, Greetings, Sailor Nassovia. Welcome to Ida."

Remembering herself before either tutor could prompt her, Ida crossed her hands over her chest and gave a small bow, her eyes lowered respectfully. The smile never quite went away though and if anything, she was even more excited now than she had been before. The girl before her felt far more approachable than the figure she had put together in her head.
