Hobbies: Tumblr - Kai is a Tumblrite, and unashamed of it. If she's not browsing the site on her desktop or laptop, she's flipping through it on her phone or tablet. She's biggest into various fandom aspects of it, and loves posting her fanfics, gifs, and RP on her various blogs. She is also shameless in admitting that she likes the NSFW fanart and fanfic on there. She has to turn 'safe browse' on at work or when her son is awake, otherwise someone might see a dongle they never wanted or needed to. She tends to get more than a little annoyed with the 'social justice' side of Tumblr, however. There's trying to better your world, and then there's just being a hateful douchebag.
Knitting - Initially, Kai picked it up as an experiment. She wanted something to keep her hands busy, that would actually produce something useful. It took her a bit to get the hang of it, but now she's an avid knitter, with quite a few pattern books and a collection of patterns on her tablet. It's nice and soothing, the repetitive motions helping her to calm down and focus on something other than her anxiety or the overwhelming flood of the world. She's especially fond of making hats, scarves, and arm warmers. And she's even made a couple of sweaters, including a rainbow one for her son.
Video Games - Kai loves video games massively. She tends to prefer platformers, sandbox games like Minecraft and Terraria, RPGs, fighters, FPS, and action/adventure. It's one of her big time wasters, especially when it's something her son likes watching her play. She also loves Pokemon. It is a rare occurrence that she leaves the house without her 3DS and Pokemon X. Or her SP and Pokemon Emerald. [Wanna see her Eevee teams?]
Parkour - Kai has always been a very physical and active person, and parkour is something she started doing recently thanks to one of the Mocha Mountain regulars that just...made sense to her. She tends to try doing parkour whenever possible in her everyday life, and tends to go out of her way to do it when she's really pent up or angry. It's a way for her to just...let go and let out nervous energy.
Stuffed Animals - Kai is a big plushie fan, and she has a habit of collecting them for herself and for her son. The pair have a pile of plushies that takes up a corner of their room, plus a few special plushies on their beds. They have a good collection of Squishables, plenty of thrift store finds, and some particularly geeky additions. Good luck getting either to part from their Eeveelution collection. Or their Endermen.
MCU - No, seriously. Kai LOVES the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She's got figures, all the DVDs she can get her hands on, posters, and she and her son were Freyja and Loki for Halloween 2014. She RPs actively in the fandom on Tumblr, and she admits she's got a thing for the Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes. She watches Agents of Shield every Tuesday, now that it's on again, but doesn't let her son watch it until she's screened it for okay-ness. [He may be mature for his age, but there's LIMITS and she's not going to be a bad Mom.]
Virtues:Patient - If nothing else, Kai's life has taught her that you can't rush things. Often times, you have to hold steady and wait it out, be it with your head down or with open arms. She's the sort who will wait for the right moment to go ahead with things, or give someone space while they need it. When things look dark, she knows that she just needs to hang on, ride the waves, and she'll come through the other side in time.
Compassionate - Kai has always been the triplet who cried at Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and more than a few Disney movies. And she's still a soft-heart. For all that she's an introvert, she does try to reach out to those who need it. To those who are hurting or lost or alone. She knows what it's like to be all of those, and she wants nothing more than to help however she can. She's the sort who will signal boost people who need help on Tumblr, who will pay for a sandwich for the odd-kid-out at her work, who will bring dinner to the guy two doors down who just lost his job.
Life-smart - Though she may not be all that book-smart or able to live alone emotionally, Kai knows how to get through life and be
happy. Most days. She knows how to grocery-shop, how to find a good deal, how to balance her checkbook. She knows how to diffuse an upset customer or avoid the dark allies near downtown. She knows her limits and tries not to push them too much, and she takes joy in the little things while she can.
Flaws:Contradictory - Kai does not like being told what to do if you're outside a very small group of people. While she can take orders and the like for her job, outside of it she's very...well, not quite anti-authority, but she definitely doesn't like being bossed around. She'll get sarcastic, sharp, and sometimes downright pissy depending on the situation. She tends to end it at sarcastic with police and other such figures...but that snooty businessman or the idiot frat boy who keeps trying to boss her around? They get the full-on punky b***h.
Wrathful - When Kai's anger is riled, she bites fast and hard. She doesn't censor herself [unless you're her son], and she has gotten into fights before over particularly maddening things. Like the bully who wouldn't leave her alone in high school. She still considers the suspension worth it for the pegs she knocked the other girl down. Bringing her family or friends into it is a good way to bring out the bull. She's also ripped into more than a few people on Tumblr through text, and it's never a pretty sight.
Damaged Spirit - Kai has been through a great deal, and even though it doesn't always show, it is always there. Beneath her strength, there are habits and thought processes she is forever trying to break: she always sits close to an exit and always somewhere that others can't get to her back, she tends to walk like she's ready for a fight when she's by herself, and she's very jumpy if you approach her from a spot she can't see. She has days where she just hides from the world on her couch, with her favorite blanket, Disney movies, and her son, trying to cope and prepare herself to deal with the world once more. There are times where she can't sleep through the night, and she still has problems always thinking of herself as someone worth caring about.

RefClothes: Kai's style is somewhere between punk, goth, and pin-up. There's a lot of plaid, stripes, rainbows, jean-material items, bold colors, bold accessories, and a general overall look of 'don't ******** with me, I'm a rebel'. She has two piercings in the lobe of each ear, and has a piercing on the lower right corner of her mouth.
