Stigtyr stumbled across the rocky ground, anger rumbling off him like a storm. He snarled and snapped at anyone who dared to stare long enough, using his size to try and intimidate them from asking questions. Of course, if they knew just who he was, they wouldn't be scared at all. Stigtyr wasn't much of a fighter at all, as evidenced by the blood running down his face, and so couldn't do much to back up his bark with a bite. The large lion tripped again, cursing furiously. The blood from his wound was blinding him completely in one eye. At least, he hoped it was the blood. Ooooh, he would kill Tollak for this, mark his words. He didn't know how, but his brother was going to pay. Not that it mattered much at the current moment. Right now, Stigtyr needed medical attention. And quickly. Head wounds were notorious for how much they bleed, and his injuries were bleeding a lot. The last thing he needed was to be fainting in the middle of the pride. The male had suffered enough embarrassment for one day, thank you very much. He tried shaking as much blood away from his eye as he could, but it did little to help. Scowling something fierce, Stigtyr padded across the familiar ground. This was where Dagny and her friend Aaja usually were. He'd met Aaja a couple of time. He didn't considered themselves besties, but they were certainly friends enough. She would help him. "Aaja!" He called out, looking around the area. "Aaja! Where are you?"

Aajamaak was running late, as usual, to meet Dagny. "Curses and snakes blood." She muttered at her feet, growling as she struggled to remember just what direction she was heading in. It was a struggle being apart of her family because either you were prone to running head first into a boulder you were trying to avoid, or you ended up like Aajamaak and had no sense of direction. When she heard Stigtyr call it was like the sound of relief. Raising her head and spotting him was like a gift from the heavens. With him in her line of sight getting to the meet spot was-
"WHAT HAPPENED?!" She nearly shrieked. Skidding to a halt Aaja was quick to circle Stig, searching for injuries besiding the evident one on his face. She then acted as support, and stood next to him in case he fell over. Granted if he fell over he'd be more likely to crush Aaja then she could carry him but it was better than hitting your face on the floor.
She didn't know Stig super-well herself, but she was close friends with Dagny and from her she heard all sorts of stories of the gray lions of their family. It was if she knew them better than they knew her really. Stig and her were friends at least and for that she was ready and willing to help him. "Let's get you inside." She told him, thankful that her den was not too far away.

Stig welcomed Aaja's support, barely suppressing a sigh of relief when she'd bounded up to him. Thank goodness she'd been here. There weren't too many others that Stig had wanted to see right now when he was like this. It was both a blessing that Dagny wasn't here. Stigtyr didn't think she would have reacted very well. "Tollak happened." Stig spat, instantly cursing himself for the venomous tone. Aaja hadn't done anything but ask a question. He was still just so mad. The male straightened himself up as much as he could, not realizing how much weight he'd been putting on Aaja. Her bracing really was helping. The bloodloss wasn't severe, but it combined with the ache in his head was making it harder for him to walk properly by the minute. He couldn't wait to collapse in her den. "We argued and fought and...well I'm sure you can guess I lost." He grumbled, ears pinned flat to his head. When he was cleaned up and the world was no longer spinning and he could see again, he was going to get revenge on his brother. Right now he just wanted to sit down and clean the blood out of his stinging eyes. At the sight of Aaja's den, he did exhale happily, shoulders relaxing just a fraction.

Aaja was glad she was able to find her den at all. Even if it had been not too far away she would be most likely to go in circles a few times before being able to recognize her entryway. Her feet, for once, were able to be relied upon and had heading like a homing pigeon to the entrance of her humble cave.
She was no reaver, and she was certainly not already mated to one, but Aaja's den was quite the place. She had recently moved out on her own, but taken quite a few things with her. Pelts littered the floor at the back of her cavern, serving as a comfy bed at the coldest of nights. "Only a few more feet." She told Stigtyr, and proceeded to aid him in laying down on her bed. She was a tiny lioness, he easily took up most of pelt space there was.
Spinning, Aaja looked for a bowl made from a small hare's skull and leafs she had been given a while ago. The mixture instead was nothing more than water and a mint leaf, but she found it aiding a small bit in relieving pain. She spoke from personal experience of course.
"I wish you two wouldn't argue so much, just look what it's doing to you!" There was only the three of them wasn't there? Was it really that hard to get along? Aajamaak's family was huge however, and sometimes she found it difficult to know who was her own siblings and who wasn't. So it was kind of hard to remain mad at one another for her...
She also grabbed a small, thin pelt that served as a cloth, and began to wipe away the blood from Stig's face.

The large male collapsed on the nest of pelts, his head resting on his paws while Aaja went off and grabbed the materials she needed. His nose crinkled a little at the smell of mint. Of course it was mint. Stigtyr was starting to believe that there wasn't any other type of plant in existence. "He started it!" Stigtyr, protested, lifting himself up into a sitting position as Aaja approached him with a cloth. "I was minding my own business and he had to barge in and...and...be Tollak! He's such a hothead." Stigtyr growled. Not that he was much better. Stigtyr had quite the temper himself, but he didn't have the fighting capabilities to match his words, so the grey male had learned how to keep his temper more in check. Of course, reaver culture cultivated an environment where lions were able to act on their anger, thus perpetuating a potentially abusive environment where reavers never needed to learn to... "Ouch Aaja! That stings." Stigtyr flailed his paw in her direction, trying to pull away from her. The wounds were still extremely raw, and the pelt was making it worse, even though it was getting the blood off. The male sighed deeply, his shoulders sagging. "Sorry. Again." He mumbled, looking away.

"Sorry!" Aaja removed her paw with the pelt with a cringe. She waited until Stig stopped flailing his paw to go back to trying to clean his wound. This time she only dabbed his face, to avoid causing as much pain as possible. "You and Tollak are always at each others throats." Aaja muttered while going about her business. "Maybe if you two just took a moment to hear each other out?" She suggested. Aaja imagined that was hard though, Tollak was... Well, he was Tollak. The few times she had met him herself Aaja found it unbearable not to try and slash him across the face. The nerve of that boy!
Then again, she noticed, in his own way Stigtyr was also sort of easily angered. He always seemed stressed, but he was training to be a lawspeaker wasn't here? They were always stressed. She figured it came with the job.
"Alright, now let's take a look at that wound." Aaja tilted Stigtyr's head to observe the cut. It was deep, went right through his eye even. She held her face in the same emotional state as had been. She didn't want Stig to risk seeing her shock. Aaja could only hope if she worked fast enough he could avoid being completely blind. But a gash like that? He wasn't going to see properly for a long, long time... "You're lucky." She said. "It could be a lot worse then it is." He could have no eye at all...

Stigtyr scoffed. "Hear each other out? I'm all for words before actions, but he attacked me." The male growled, holding himself perfectly still so that Aaja could work unhindered. "And in case you didn't see the giant gash on my neck, he went for my throat! Brute looked like he enjoyed it too." He muttered the last part under his breath, tail lashing angrily. That crazed look in Tollak's eyes, the bloodlust, the violence, it made Stigtyr want to shudder. He would never, under pain of death, admit it, but Stigtyr could understand why Tollak was going to be such a good reaver. The thought made him sick. He exhaled sharply through his nose, one part pain and one part exasperation. He would feel better once all of the blood was out of his eyes and he could see again. Only having part of his vision was making him anxious. The male froze as Dagny tipped his head back. Was she finished cleaning the wound? But..."I...is there still something in my eye? I can't...I can't see anything out of it." He worked hard to keep his voice steady. His paws were on the verge of shaking. He couldn't see anything out of his injured eye. Nothing at all.

Aaja looked Stigtyr straight in the eyes. Or rather, eye. He looked upset, and why wouldn't he be? Not seeing was something terrifying and Aaja was sympathetic for the blind or partly blind. She had decided not to lie to him about his injury, the only reason she had considered it was because it might make him feel better, but there was no avoiding the subject forever.
She kept an emotionless, calm face. She still had to take care of his neck wound after all. "The injury cut through your eye. If... If you can't see anything out if it, that probably means you won't be able to again... Ever." She paused to look at him. "I... I'm sorry. I've done all I can for now."
Aaja now attended to his neck wound, and was careful to clean and then rub it with a healing slave that would help to patch it up. "You are lucky however, their is a possibility your sight can return... It's slight but it is there. If Tollak had ripped your eye out completely this wouldn't be the case." She was trying her best to make him feel better, and she wasn't she if it was working. All she knew was she couldn't let herself tear up or anything over his injuries, or else he would likely get upset and hinder her work even more. So she'd tuck her emotions away until she was done cleaning and patching him up.

Stigtyr couldn't breathe. The world seemed to slow down and then crumble around him. He couldn't see. His eye was blind. It would never be able to see ever again. Tollak had blinded him. Tollak had blinded his eye. The male didn't know how to react. He was angry. Angry that his and Tollak's squabble and turned into a real fight that had now left Stigtyr crippled. Angry that everything in Tollak's life seemed to be falling into place while Stigtyr's was in shambles. Angry that there would be no justice for this. Stigtyr would never be able to best his brother in combat. There could be no eye for an eye. Stigtyr was sad. He knew he'd never truly make a reaver, like his mother had wanted, but the possibility had always been there. It was always a fallback plan, an opportunity that Stigtyr could take at any time if he wanted. But now that door was closed on him, locked shut with the key thrown away forever. But mostly, he felt lost. What was he going to do know? He couldn't go back to his family den. Stigtyr couldn't bear to see Tollak again, not after this. The male would be happy if Tollak fell into some hole and was left there to rot. And Dagny, oh Stigtyr didn't even want to think about what his sister or his mother would say. Would they want him to reconcile with Tollak? Because that was never going to happen. Stigtyr would sooner through himself down a hole to rot. "I'm sure Tollak would have preferred the eye ripped out. Maybe he'd have put it on a necklace." His voice was numb, just as he was. There were too many emotions to process, too many things running through his mind, that Stigtyr had simple shut them all down.

Aaja didn't know what to do. She finished cleaning and dressing his wounds but... His voice was flat, lifeless. She was sympathetic, knowing that if she lost her sight that would devastate her world as well. Sight was possible to live without, especially only being part blind, yet it was the common desire to keep both eyes as you lived.
She noticed she was out of the powered she had applied to Stigtyr's neck. It was important, she needed it in order to tend to his wounds in case they opened up again. It was also important because it was an excuse to give him some alone time to process this. She knew for a fact that some, possibly her own mother or siblings, might have called him flowerblooded for losing an eye and complaining about it. Aaja thought differently, did that make her flowerblooded too?
She went to the entrance of her cave but hesitate before leaving. "Stigtyr..." She turned and said, "I'm going out for bit, to get more herbs. You can stay here as long as you need too, and if you get thirsty there's water in that bowl over there." She didn't imagine he'd be up for eating, but being hydrated was important. Hence why she told him about it in the first place.
That, and she didn't know exactly when her feet would lead her back home once she left. She had supposed she could deal with that when the problem was right in her face. Seemed to work 9/10th of the time.
"I'll be back." She told him, and then left.

Stigtyr's head fell. So that was it then. There was nothing that could be done for his eye. He appreciated Aaja for trying to save face, but the young male could smell her distress. Tollak had won. He'd successfully managed to chase Stigtyr away from the family and alienate him as a cripple. He had no one to turn to. Well, he always had his sister, but Stigtyr didn't really want to see his family right now. Especially not his mother. Stigtyr knew she would always support her children, but he also knew that she held reavers in high regard. Stigtyr had never desired to be one, but now there was no possible chance he could ever be one. Surely that would be disappointing to his mother. He sighed. The male supposed he wasn't completely alone. He was immensely grateful for Aaja's offer. It wasn't like he had anywhere else to go. Gods knew he wouldn't ever set paw in his family's den ever again, not while Tollak was there. Perhaps not even after Tollak was gone. That place was tainted now, cursed with split blood. The male collapsed onto the pelts, ears flat on his head. "Thank you Aaja." He said quietly, gazing blankly at nothing in particular. In truth, he was exhausted, both from the fighting and from the adrenaline. But sleep would take a while to claim him. For now he would sit in lonely silence, thinking of nothing.
CaliWolfe SO. You know. If Aaja is single........Stigtyr would totally court dat.
