An absolute wild child. Drayce is always up for new and exciting adventures and is willing to try just about anything once (maybe even twice just to see if it turns out the same as last time). Their father wonders at the energy level his child is able to keep up practically 24/7. If they aren't asleep, they're running about causing a commotion. It's hard to get Drayce to focus on one thing at a time or to get them to stay in one spot for more than five minutes, but at least there's never a dull moment when they're around!
Despite not having much patience to sit around and focus on one task for any extended period of time, Drayce is incredibly hard-working and eager to learn about new things. ...As long as they're able to have fun while doing it. They tend to make games out of even the most menial tasks to make sure that they get the job done. Gotta mop the floor? Strap soapy sponges to your feet and skate around! Gotta memorize some boring facts? Make them into a catchy song! If something needs to be done, Drayce does what they need to do to make sure that they get the job done.
Because they grew up in a small, close knit community, Drayce never really learned much about people. Everyone they knew and grew up around were very kind and trustworthy, leading them to believe that way. Despite their father's warnings Drayce continues to be naïve and believe the best of everyone...even if the person obviously isn't to be trusted.
They make friends easily and is loyal to each and every one of them. Once Drayce takes a liking towards you, you can get them to do anything really. Help you move, do your dishes...probably not kill a man, but you could certainly make them feel bad about saying no to you. They're always ready to help a friend in need!
This kid doesn't have a mean bone in their body. They're open and friendly to everyone that they meet and hates to make people worry or worse...make them upset. They try their hardest to make sure that people are smiling and happy, even if it puts themselves in a bad position. But just because they're kind doesn't mean that they don't enjoy a good prank every once and a while. Drayce finds a lot of entertainment in talking people in circles. Especially when it comes to their gender. Don't ever expect to get a straight answer from them about it. Are you a girl? Yes. Are you a boy? Yes. But I thought you were a girl? Isn't that what I said?! But you said yes to being a boy! Did I? Oh well, I'm a dragon!

While Drayce's mother was still pregnant, she was attacked by a wild Charizard. The stress caused her to go into premature labour and after 14 hours and some complications...lo and behold, Drayce was born!
Drayce was born and raised in the forest surrounding Geoseng Town, Kalos by their father Laurent and mother Malina. The small family lives in a small community made up of traveling dancers and craftsmen that occasionally visited other towns for festival during the summer and for certain holidays.
Because they were raised in a rather unconventional community, Drayce was home schooled by their parents. Malina taught them English/Literature, history, traditional dances and songs from her culture, and how to live off of the land while their father taught them maths, science, and how the world outside of the forest really worked.
Having been raised on stories about their rather miraculous birth, Drayce had a fear of Charizards and dragon types. But as they got older that fear turned into curiosity and soon enough, a six year old Drayce was begging their parents to let them get a Charmander of their own. After much begging and consideration, Drayce received their very own Charmander egg. The idea was that it'd be better to raise the pokemon so that the two could grow together. And so began Drayce's intense love of anything that even remotely resembled a dragon.
Drayce and their beloved Charmander, Smaug, spent the rest of their childhood playing amongst the trees and going on various misadventures. Though as Smaug grew older, he partook less and less in the adventures and became more and more like an exasperated babysitter. Having to cart an exhausted or injured Drayce home after a long day of messing around in the forest. One such memorable example was the day that Drayce had decided to try to get a Skiddo to do a back flip...while they were on it. With their gangly limbs there really was no hope but the day ended with a new Skiddo friend and a gash on the right side of their head that would later turn into a rather badass looking scar.
