Tri-wings X Raven Lords - Basket Giveaway

Thanks to Mindsend's generosity in August's breeding raffle I have a very special basket which needs to be homed. All three baskets are guaranteed to have at least three sets of wings.

The Raven Lord line is precious to me and I want to make sure Allide's babies will wind up in the right homes. This time I am only looking for thread regulars. While I love newbies and lurkers I want to see this family go to folks who are active and visible.

The Parents

Mother
User Image

Allide is an assassin/Mercenary, working for whomever will pay for her, though if she feels that it is the right thing to do wshe will protect someone. Her Raven, Auchindoun, acts mostly as an advance scout, gathering information, but he will attack along side her when it is necessary.

Currently, Allide is traveling with Daenerys not only out of Respect but because she feels there is a decent potential for steady work.

She will be raising her children while traveling with this group.

Father
User Image

Enoch is a rather unstable stallion and will not make any effort to contact his children, and may not ever learn they were born.

He tends to approach new people and those he respects with a very cautioned puppy like attitude. He can be quite oblivious to how others may perceive things he thinks of as normal and will often scare people unintentionally. He rarely turns violent without prodding from his familiar, the Little Shadow, who may urge Enoch on to attack or behave unusually if the Little Shadow feels threatened or is just bored and wants some amusement.

Immediate Relatives
Enoch's Family Tree

Allide's Distant Relations
Distant relations indeed.
Anzu is related to Allide only by their mutual descent from the same herd. While they do have a common ancestor, it is most likely a great-great-great-great-great-grandmother or grandfather. They are well outside the six degrees of separation on the family tree required for breeding and currently don't know or interact with each other in the soq universe.

While Allide tends to behave in a morally neutral manner, Anzu is closer to your typical evil type.

User Image
Anzu is a bit of a alpha male macho type. Very full of himself with more bronze than brains. His raven, Branwen, influences many of his opinions. This includes his belief that females are inherently worth more than males. He will actively seek and destroy any unrelated males who enter his territory.

The Culture

Raven Lord is the name for individuals descended from a herd that was powerful a long, long time ago. They now rarely form groups outside of family units, and most wander from place to place with their raven companions.

The mask is a sign of honour and skill which can be granted to the Raven Lord by anyone they hold in high esteem. It may not be made for one's self, nor can it be granted for no reason. A Raven Lord who wears a false mask is committing the worst offence still honoured by all Raven Lords.

Flightless Raven Lords are a thing to be pitted as they can't soar with the partners that give them their names. For this reason it's rare that a Raven Lord would breed with a wingless partner. Should this happen, any flightless children born of the union will still be honoured with the title, but will almost never obtain a mask of their own.

Ravens are believed to have been the first creatures to be blessed by the spirits. Thus receiving higher intelligence and cunning than any other animal. Those who partner with them are above all others, even if they do not members of the Raven Lord line.

The Classes

Conspiracy Class - Any raven lord that gathers together a large flock of ravens. They achive this by bonding with an alpha raven and by helping their bonded companion build him or herself a flock. If a flock member bonds to a soquili they leave their parent flock.
This class is usually chosen by dominant types who wish to hold large territories, which is necessary to maintain the large number of ravens in a Conspiracy Class' flock. The most common strategy for this class is to either put emphasis on sheer strength and overwhelm any opponent with numbers.
Anzu is currently the only example of the Conspiracy Class.

Dedicated Class - Most Raven Lords choose to follow the path of the Dedicated Class. This class allows them more freedom to explore and wander. Allide is a dedicated raven lord. She forms a tight bond with a single bird. Dedicated types grow to know their companions so well that they can accurately predict what their companion will do most of the time. Currently Allide and Anzu's daughters.
Honorary Raven Lord - Soquili who form permanent mateships with Raven Lords will be considered honorary members by their family. They are not expected to master either the Conspiracy or Dedicated class, but they may be honoured with a raven of their own. As mates of Raven Lords do not have a blood right to the title they will pretty much always fall under the Dedicated Class.

FAQ

Q: I have an idea, but it doesn't fit in well with the family. Can I still enter?
A: Yes. While I do have ideas of what I would like to see I am always willing to consider alternate ideas. Sometimes they work better than the original plan!

Q: I thought you said there were going to be two baskets contested off! Why is there only one?
A: This family means a lot to me and I kept having panic attacks while setting up this thread. Homing one of the baskets gave me less to worry about and helped me calm down enough to finish setting up. If you were looking forward to trying for that basket I apologize profusely. But I needed to do it this way.

Rules
1. Be good to each other. Please don't be a sore loser or go around mentioning non-stop about how you want to win or how you're most likely going to lose.
2. No part of the entry is valued higher than any part. I'm looking for someone who interests me as an RP or plotting partner.
3. You may edit your post up until the thread is locked.
4. Do not reserve posts to be filled in later.

GO!

PostPosted: Fri Dec 19, 2014 5:00 am

User Name: Wasteland Wyvern
Name: Morrigan
Temper: Choice Mute
Do you own a pony with visible tri-wings? Do you own a member of the Lucifer line?: No
Are you an active RPer?: At this time I am not an active RPer but that is due in large part to my computer situation. I am using an ancient laptop that freezes constantly, but come January, no later than a week into February I will have a new computer and will become a lot more active.
Are you willing to continue the Raven Lord tradition?: Of course!
----------------
Personality: Morrigan is a silent creature by choice. She prefers to observe and learn rather than speak out. Now this isn't to say that in the heat of the moment or in sheer anger she won't yell with the best of them but moments like that are few and far between for her.
Patient to a point of perfection she never acts without the knowledge she needs to make a move. She's a lot like a chess master. Each move for a reason and never a move made in haste.
Prompt Number: 1
RP Prompt: Morrigan, still a young filly at the time, was traveling slowly along with her mother and siblings. The land around them had slowly begun turning to an arid landscape. This was something extremely new to Morrigan and she immediately started to explore. The dirt was warm to the touch of her nose. The sky was an odd shade of blue, more pale it seemed. Maybe this was something that often happened in dry places? Though it was just her skewed sense really. The sky was the same color, she was just seeing it differently cause to her it was new.
She walked carefully around, always making sure she wasn't going to step into danger.
That was when her sibling pushed her and she spilled into the dirt, upsetting the raven that always rode on her shoulder and sending him skyward with an angry warble in his voice. Her brother was just trying to make her angry. Trying to provoke a reaction again. She just carefully got to her hooves and stared at him with a look that said, 'Very funny.'
He pushed her again but this time she kept her feet. She still had grit in her mouth from the first spill so she spat it at him, and then with a calculated push sent him into a cactus, butt first.
She smirked knowingly when he squealed, rump full of needles and ran to tell mom. Though she got a talking to she was happy to have gotten revenge.
Plot Ideas:
A Raven's Eye View: This is the first time she gets a chance to soar with her raven high in the sky. Lots of things could and likely will happen in this RP.
Might be she hurts a wing and is forced down into unfamiliar turf, or she could go too far and have to find her way back. Lots of fun!

Love? No thank you!: A young stallion won't leave her alone and her mother and siblings mistakenly assume she's in love with him cause she keeps pushing him away.
NOPE! She can't stand him and his insistence that he cares for her. She immediately plans revenge and sets up a ton of calculated traps that finally drive him off.

A Supernatural Moment: Some say that if you look with the eyes of a raven that you can see the ghosts of the past. Morrigan is going to visit the scene of a large war, a recent one, and will swear that she can see the ghosts of the past fighting still. This causes her unrest and she seeks someone to tell her why she can see it.

User Name: Fatal Irony
Name: Magana
Temper: Impish
Do you own a pony with visible tri-wings? Do you own a member of the Lucifer line?: Nope!
Are you an active RPer?: I try to be
Are you willing to continue the Raven Lord tradition?: Yes I think it's great
----------------
Personality: Magana is an excellent reconnaissance agent, able to scout far and wide for information. Going further, she is a master of intrigue and manipulation, granting her further insight into her enemies. She's able to charm or coerce information from targets and be gone before they realize anything is amiss. She sends information back with her raven as needed. Gathering Intelligence has its dangers, and she is as adept at stealthy assassination as her mother - and even more gifted at disappearing when she needs to.

Magana is sultry and seductive, always trying an angle to get information from anyone she meets. She can shift her mannerism to suit the target and is therefor very difficult to get to know. She keeps her true self hidden behind so many other personalities that sometimes she wonders if she can even find her true self anymore. She believes her raven (nameless until I see it) to be the only one who still knows the real her. Their bond is deep and unshakable.
Prompt Number: 2 - Your raven has injured it's wing and can't fly. What happens next?
RP Prompt: Magana was breathing heavily, panicking for the first time that she could ever recall. How many times had she thrown herself into dangerous situations with a cavalier and even excited attitude? She never had any concern for her own safety, whether due to her complete confidence in her abilities or to a complete lack of concern over her own life it made no matter. She had never once before faltered.

But this was different. Her raven lie upon the ground, alive but bleeding. Its wing was useless at its side, enemies were closing in - she could hear them coming! Forcing herself to take a deep breath she searched around swiftly and found some vines that looks like they could work. Hoof beats were getting closer but she couldn't stop. She wrapped the vine around the raven as best she could, then tied it to her chest just as the enemies burst through the cover of the trees. She launched into the air, earning herself a few shallow blows as she climbed higher into the air and out of sight.

As the sounds of the shouting curses below her died out and she met the frigid winter air in the clouds her mind began to clear. She knew she had to find some way to heal the raven. No other thoughts or concerns found her in this moment. Not the failed mission, not the continued threat to herself and her family, nothing but finding help for the raven, her truest friend. She flew on, scanning the ground for the hint of a horn on any of the soquili below...

((To be continued -see plots!)
Plot Ideas:
Saving the Raven: Our story begins with Magana seeking out a healer to fix the raven strapped to her chest. The area is populated enough that this should be no bother. When she finds one she learns the raven's wounds were less severe than they looked in her panicked state. Relief floods over her, for a moment. Then she realizes the danger she had left her family in...

The Warning: Her heart stops when she realizes that mob was headed towards her family and they were patiently watching the skies for a raven that would not come to warn them. She allows her raven to perch on her back, its strength returned enough to hold on, though it would take more rest for the wing to fully heal. Magana takes to the air and frantically flies to where her family had agreed to meet her, only to find the battle raging on already. She joins in immediately, diving into the fray with wild abandon, unable so see who might be hurt. I think maybe someone should get hurt due to her poor decision. One of her siblings or her mother. Something serious enough to have to recall the healer she had passed before. The guilt of almost getting someone almost killed will stay with her.

Disappointment: Once things are settled and the danger passed, Magana's mother could express disappointment in her performance. She idealizes her mother and her lack of approval will be crushing.

Redemption: Magana will help her mother on a mission perhaps and regain some of her respect? IDK that can be discussed between us lol

User Name: Kyrieko
Name: Kazsauni
Temper: Passionate or Steadfast (on the fence as to which one x3 )
Do you own a pony with visible tri-wings? Do you own a member of the Lucifer line?: No
Are you an active RPer?: Yes, though slow at times!
Are you willing to continue the Raven Lord tradition?: Yes! I love the idea!
----------------
Personality: A little on the unpredictable side, Kazsauni will never be seen approaching a situation the same way twice. She will find new ways to view a problem, try to work it out, and if she doesn't succeed, simply try to find the next best solution. She has a cunning mind to her though she doesn't quite execute it the same way her mother does. Kaz is not cut out to be an assassin or mercenary, but she's found her strength to be in stealth and recon. She will be the eyes and intelligence gatherer for her family and flock. And any others that might request her services. Kaz will greatly look up to and respect Anzu for his ability as a conspiracy raven lord. She can only hope to one day be half as strong as he is! Though she does not wish to hold nearly as much territory as the stallion does, his loyalty to his flock inspires her. For loyalty is something she believes strongly in. As is passion with a little dose of compassion as well. Which will be the main reason for her chosen path as a dedicated raven lord. Her strong desire to protect coupled with her compassion for those feathered friends will allow her to form a tight bond with her raven companion and allow her the ability to work closely with a small flock to scout and provide stealthy intelligence gathering with.

As a foal, Kaz will work extra hard to prove her strength of mind and will, at times pushing herself too far. Overestimating her abilities will be something she must work to overcome, just like any other problem. Though as she matures into adulthood, Kaz will begin to recognize when she's pushing her limits - along with the help of her raven companion. However overall, this mare will be passion driven with a spirit of justice to her.
Prompt Number: Combo of 1 and 2!
RP Prompt:
Her nose twitched as she snuffled along the ground and the trees. The scents here were different. Pawing gently at the ground beneath her feet, Kaz found the soil to be soft. And cool. She smiled, looking up brightly towards her mother. "Mama... can I explore?" She asked eagerly. At Allide's nod, Kazsauni trotted off towards the nearest clump of foilage, sticking her head through it to see if anything was hidden on the other side. A squawk at her back informed her she had stuck her head too far. Pulling back swiftly, she twisted her head around to nuzzle the raven nestled against her back. His wing was lightly bound by leaves around him.

"Sorry. I'll be more gentle." Kaz promised, blowing warm air out of her nose at her familiar. His wing was injured, and to her dismay, there was not much either of them could do. But that didn't keep her from taking him flying with her! Or exploring as the case was. She could be his wings!

Ears flicking forward, Kaz looked out along the strange new land. It was mesmerizing! And a little frightening. But her eyes flickered all around, taking everything in until she was confident that if someone asked, she could recall the landscape almost clearly.

"It's too open... like the sky." She gazed up. The sky was supposed to be endless! But the landscape before her was eerily similar. Plains. That's what mama had called it, right? "I like the trees. And mountains." Oh but the wind here! The moment she stepped out into the clearing, with nothing to obstruct it, Kaz was buffed by the winds. It made her laugh, firmly planting her feet and extending her wings partially. On her back, she felt her familiar perk up and let the wind tease his feathers. It was almost like flying! Almost!

"Okay... this is pretty cool." Kaz admitted sheepishly, closing her eyes and imagining the clouds around her, the cool moist air splashing against her face as she flew through them... "Mama. I think I like this place!" She determined.
Plot Ideas: A few ideas for now~!

Part 1: What is an Alpha? - Having a raven familiar is the best! Kaz will want to know all about her companion and hope to eventually form a close bond with them. However she has a dream of one day having a flock of ravens to call her own. Which means she'd need an Alpha. Or hope that her familiar was an Alpha raven. This is sort of a 3 part plot idea that would span over her growing into maturity.

Part 2: Birds of a Feather! - Having only one raven bonded to her will be exciting, but what about three? Or four?! As a foal, Kazsauni will begin learning how to handle not just her familiar, but those ravens they take under their wing. Being young, she'll only be able to handle having a couple to assist in watching out for. However as she gets older, their flock will grow! This would be a progressive plot, where she acquires more ravens as she grows up!

The Path you will Choose - While still young, Kazsauni will have a moment in time that she hesitates over which path she wants to follow. She won't want to disappoint Allide. But her awe for Anzu will make her decision that much more difficult! I'd love to have her travel with her mother on some venture she's being paid for, to get a taste of what her mother does. And see if that is what she is best suited for. It will also help her to discover her abilities in stealth!

Wingless - Kazsauni has a lot of pride in her wings and ability to fly. She'll never really have considered what other Soq feel about being wingless. Do they wish for wings? Does it bother them that some of their cousins have the ability to fly? Meeting some grounded Soq - especially the seafolk! - would be an eye opening experience for her!

Part 3: So Not Dinner! - Her first real lesson in what it takes to have a flock. Her ravens will be hunted and mistaken for dinner (or not so mistaken depending on if it is another familiar or meat eating Soq), and Kazsauni will have to defend them. And fail. She is not quite cut out to handle a flock as she thought and must learn this the hard way. This will ultimately be where she determines her path as a dedicated raven lord.

Starting New - After suffering the horrible realization of her inability to handle a large flock of ravens, like she has always dreamed, Kazsauni and her familiar will have to start over. Begin walking a path they are more suited to. However they will end up with a tiny flock of no more than 4 or 5 ravens in all. They will be the start of her scouts and stealth companions.

User Name: Divena
Name: Saghani
Temper: Practical
Do you own a pony with visible tri-wings? Do you own a member of the Lucifer line?: The closest I have to multiple wings is my angeni, Lian, and I think those are just double wings?
Are you an active RPer?: I try to post as often as I can.
Are you willing to continue the Raven Lord tradition?: Yes
----------------
Personality: Practical to a fault, she will always consider the consequences of her action. Emotion won’t play a big part in what she does, which will cause her to seem cold and uncaring but she is anything but. Honor is her guiding influence.
Prompt Number: 2
RP Prompt:
Saghani was beginning to get worried. It had been hours since she had seen her raven partner, which was more than a little unusual. They weren’t exactly glued at the hip, but her companion knew that she worried for him, so he often checked in just to let her know he was all right. Well, that and to gossip. Her companion was a hopeless gossip. The fact that she hadn’t seen him for so long caused all sorts of worse case scenarios to flash through her mind.

She shook her head sharply, banishing those imagined possibilities. It did no good to fret over something that hadn’t been confirmed yet. As she always did when she was worried, afraid, or angry, she wrapped the familiar and comforting cloak of practicality about herself. It did no one, least of all her dearest friend, any good to pace and fret. Action was required. The solution was simple. If her companion wouldn’t come to her, then she would go to him. There were only so many places he could be, right?

It was with this thought firmly in mind that she slipped away from the herd. She checked all of his usual haunts first, concern turning into fear when she didn’t find even so much as a feather. The fear was quickly tamped down as she reminded herself that it did no good. A long hour later, she finally found him, resting weakly at the base of a large tree. Right away she could see the poor thing had broken its wing.

Saghani had never been prone to speaking much. She felt that speaking when one had nothing to say was akin to stating the obvious, and stating the obvious was a waste of breath. So she swallowed the concerned questions about what had happened. She buried the idiotic impulse to ask if he was hurt. Instead she nudged him gently, waking him from his pain induced sleep.

“I fell,” he croaked. Her companion did not share her feelings about stating the obvious. She huffed softly and, as carefully as she could, eased him onto her back. He squawked and protested loudly, complaining of the pain.

“Stop being so dramatic,” she ordered, gruffly. In truth, she was worried about his wing. What if he never flew again? She couldn’t even imagine such a fate. Sure, she had seen others who didn’t have the blessing of flight, but they weren’t like her. Like her mother, her entire family. To take away their flight… part of her wondered if it would be kinder to put her companion out of his misery now.

She shook that thought away almost as soon as it occurred to her. That was just the kind of assumption that got people hurt. Yes, her raven’s wing was broken, but these things happened. A good healer could fix him, and he would be flying again soon. She needed to take her own advice and stop being so dramatic. That wasn’t so easy, of course, when her raven continued to wail and moan and declare he would never fly again as she made the long trek back to her herd. She nearly promised him that he WOULD fly again. That she wouldn’t rest until he was healed. Only the fact that she hated to lie or make promises she had no way of keeping kept her mouth firmly shut.

That and the knowledge that his dramatics were more his own way of covering his fear, just as cold calculation was hers. She came to a silent decision, just as they reached the herd. She would do everything in her power to ensure he flew again, and she would not give up until he did. With this self promise in mind, she sought out the healer and hovered while the raven was looked over.

“It’s a nasty break,” the healer finally told her, somberly. “The bone was splintered. It’s… possible that it may never support him again.”

For the first time Saghani could remember, her raven met this news in silence. Even she would have been shocked speechless… if she was prone to speeches. Despite bracing herself for the possibility, she hadn’t actually expected that he would be that badly hurt. She wanted to demand that the healer do something, but that would have been futile. Obviously their healer had done everything she could. Saghani wanted to ask her raven what he had done to get so badly hurt, but that too wouldn’t help his wing heal.

Finally, she whispered a simple, “I understand.” Because she did understand. She gathered up her bandaged companion and took him away from the herd for some privacy. She stayed within sight of her family, though, in case something HAD attacked her friend and was still lurking around. She was shell shocked, but stupid.

“Are you going to kill me?” her raven asked, in a tiny voice as he looked up at her with glittering eyes.

She didn’t ask why he would ask that. Hadn’t she already thought doing so would be kinder? She also didn’t give him false hope. Yes, the healer had said it was possible that he would never heal completely. Possible, meaning it was only a chance. But it was still a chance. Instead, she took a deep breath and let it out slowly until she trusted herself to speak.

“You’re going to heal,” she told him, firmly. “We will wait and see how well. If… if you don’t heal completely, we’ll find another way for you to fly again. I’ll do whatever’s necessary. For as long as you’re willing to fight, I will be at your side… and if… if you choose to… give up… I’ll be there for you then as well,” she choked a bit on the words. She would do whatever was necessary to keep her companion happy. “But first, you heal.”

For a moment, her raven didn’t say anything. She hated when he was silent and thoughtful. Bad things always happened when he was silent and thoughtful. She preferred his chattering impulsiveness. Finally, he carefully took a lock of her mane in his beak and gave a gentle tug. “Okay,” he said.

“Okay,” she repeated, sealing their promise. She curled around her bird and shoved aside her fear, concern, and grief, and instead focused on contingency plans. Anything to distract her from the possibilities looming ahead.

Note: This was a lot more depressing than I meant it to be sweatdrop Sorry!
Plot Ideas:
--Going based off the prompt, I’d kind of like to explore the idea of a flightless raven familiar, and all the projects and adventures they’d go through to try and get him back in the air. I could see them hunting down unicorns or rumored healers. When that fails, I could see her looking into contraptions or devices that would help support his wing so he could fly.

--Saghani will idolize her mother. I could see her following her mother and observing her every action closely, hoping to follow in Allide’s hoofsteps, including becoming a mercenary in her own right. Her practicality will most likely help her with this.

--One can only be practical for so long. I’d also like to toss her into a situation in which her practicality only ends up hurting her, forcing her to access her underutilized emotions.

User Name: spelldancer
Name: Vesela
Temper: Ebullient
Do you own a pony with visible tri-wings? Do you own a member of the Lucifer line?: No
Are you an active RPer?: I try to be
Are you willing to continue the Raven Lord tradition?: Yes. I think it would be very interesting to try to mix Vesela with the Raven Lord traditions.
----------------
Personality: Vesela is not your typical raven lord offspring. She is cheerful and full of energy. Her goals in life are to spread happiness and be felicific. Vesela doesn’t really know how to be serious and this causes problems in that she has no ability to deal with problems that require her to not panic. She is rather impressionable and trusting which is not a good thing in someone that is traveling around and needs to be able to judge a new Soquili quickly. She is unpractical and dreamy along with being rather dogmatic as well. Things are as they are, unless she dreams they aren’t. Once she decides on something, or is convinced of something, it is hard to change her mind.
Prompt Number: 2. Your raven has injured it's wing and can't fly. What happens next?
RP Prompt: It was approaching evening and young Vesela was beginning to get worried. She had not seen Tihomir, her raven, all day and that was unusual. Usually Tihomir would be coming to Vesela multiple times a day to show her the latest thing that he had found. But not today. Vesela began searching high and low for him and calling his name. “Tiiiihomir! Are you there?” After several minutes Vesela became very concerned when there was no response and was frantic. “TIHOMIR! Where are you?” Her voice became shrill and painful to even her ears. “Please answer me!”

Faintly, a little to the left of where she was, Vesela heard a squawk. It was a pitiful sound and at first Vesela dismissed it, but as she continued to call out and get squawks in reply she began to take notice of it. “Tihomir?” Fratic now because that was not what Tihomir usually sounded like, Vesela pushed through the brush and found something that scared her. There, on the ground, was Tihomir. “Tihomir, what happened? What are you doing on the ground?” In response the raven held tried to lift his left wing but failed. He let out a squeak and looked between Vesela and his wing. Vesela bent to examine the wing and nearly reared back in surprise when she realized that it was missing feathers and had dried blood on the remaining feathers. “What happened?” The worry in her voice caused it to crack.

In what was the saddest voice she had ever heard from Tihomir he said, “I was… trying… to get, ummm…” A sheepish tone crept into his painfilled voice. “Something, and there was… a condor… we fought and…” Tihomir raised his feathers a little in an attempt to appear less pitiful.

Vesela didn’t even ask what he had been after. She nodded and said fiercely, “I hope he looks worse than you.” Carefully kneeling beside Tihomir, Vesela told him to climb onto her head and hang on. “I’ll, I’ll, I’ll do SOMETHING!” She cried. “This will be fixed.” Vesela didn’t know if she wanted to go hunt down a unicorn and check for broken bones, or the condor and show it what happens when someone messes with her friends. Scowling felt odd on her face but she had no desire to stop. Her goals in life were to make others happy and increase the world’s cheer, not avenge harms. But that was exactly what she wanted to do that moment.

It was a small chirp of a noise that brought her back to her surrounding from her fuming anger. Her ears pricked forward and she asked worriedly, “Are you alright up there?” Her only response was a quite cheep. That was what allowed her to decide, it was the unicorn she needed to find and not the condor. It could be hunted later, now what the time to tend to Tihomir. “Hang in there, little friend. I’ll get you to help.” She set off trying to keep her gait as smooth as possible. The first unicorn she found would heal Tihomir if she had to bully it, plead with it, or bribe it. Whatever she had to do, Vesela was determined to not lose Tihomir.

It took too long in her opinion to find a unicorn, even if it was only a half. She had a horn and that was what mattered. Trying to look as composed as possible as well as adult and calm, Vesela began her entreaty. “Please heal him. He hurt his wing, and I don’t know if he broke anything, and he is barely talking, and there is so much blood, and feathers are missing. Please help him. Don’t let him die.” By the time she finished Vesela sounded like the scared youngling that didn’t know what to do that she was.

The half unicorn gazed placidly at Vesela and Vesela momentarily worried that she had found a defective unicorn. But then the unicorn spoke. “It will be fine, youngling. He would heal on his own, but I will heal him for you.” It was a singsong voice that the unicorn used, almost as if the unicorn was afraid that Vesela would freak out some more. The voice was hypnotic and soothing to Vesela and seemed to put her in a trance for a moment. In that moment the unicorn bent and healed Tihomir. He let out a caw in surprise and pain as the bones shifted and knitted back together.

Vesela broke out of her trance and reared back, not noticing that Tihomir was flapping his wings to stay balanced on her head. “You HURT him!” She accused the half unicorn. “You didn’t heal him, you just made it worse.” Her voice cracked again as she stepped towards the unicorn threateningly.

Tihomir knew what Vesela was about to do even if Vesela didn’t really, and quickly cried out to her in a voice free of pain, “I’m fine! I’m all right. It is okay!” Vesela, who had been about to charge the unicorn and try to hurt it in return because nothing should hurt an already injured anything, stopped abruptly.

Eyeing the Unicorn sharply, Vesela gave a haughty sneer. “He better be fine, or I’ll find you again.” With that she cantered away, wanting to put the whole incident behind her. But it was an agonizing time for her as Tihomir grew enough feathers back in to be able to fly. Each day passed slowly. The day that Tihomir was finally able to fly more than a few feet on his own was the day Vesela finally forgave the half unicorn because she finally knew that Tihomir had been fully healed that evening.

Plot Ideas:
Vesela needs to learn to be serious and not be influenced by others so much, which would be a long arc of teachings and trouble.

Training Vesela to be able to fight will be a chore in and of its self, but in the end I believe she will be an excellent fighter.

Someone taking advantage of Vesela’s impressionable nature and using her to do a terrible awful thing. That thing would depend on who ended up being the one to take advantage of Vesela.

Finding love and having it seem like the perfect match only to discover that he is a terrible example of a Soquili, and the having to convince Vesela of that. Also then breaking away from him and the healing of the mind.

Basically Vesela’s growth and change into someone worthy of being a Raven Lord.

User Name: Zaikt.
Name: Guntram.
Temper: Iron-hearted.
Do you own a pony with visible tri-wings? Do you own a member of the Lucifer line?: Nope!
Are you an active RPer?: Working on getting there. :'> I'm more active with off-site RPs over messengers and the like for the moment.
Are you willing to continue the Raven Lord tradition?: Heeeeell yeah.
----------------
Personality: Guntram is by no means a soft and gentle soul. At first glance, it's easy to see that they are as sharp and restrained as a primed guillotine, every move they make similar to the steady pull of an executioner's axe being raised above some unfortunate's head. They do not think of themself as a mare or a stallion, identifying more as a genderless entity separated from those they walk amongst. Guntram may not have been the name they were given at birth, but it's one that they feel suits them best--'war raven', originating from a tongue that can be just as biting as they are. Unlike the language they sourced their name from, Guntram bears little in the means of softer tones, any emotions clad in iron, ice, and steel to prevent any from getting closer than they would prefer. They speak in harsh, clipped words, keeping their sentences short and abrupt--to the point, just as they like it. They have no use for long discussions, deeming such things to be a waste of their time that would be much better spent elsewhere.

At their best, Guntram is unshakably loyal, stalwart, and fiercely fervent in their beliefs--if any dare to try and cast a shadow of doubt on what they think is right, the interloper will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. On the other end of the spectrum, Guntram at their worst is...best avoided, really. They are cold and unfeeling to being with, but if crossed, their underlying viciousness bursts forth, breaking free of their restraints and coloring their words and actions. Guntram prides themself on their self-control, and their violations of it result in strict repercussions that they inflict upon themself for such flagrant disregard for their personal code. While they are calculated, they are not patient, and will suffer no delays in their plans; anyone who gets in their way had better be getting out of it sooner rather than later.

3. Choose your own adventure! What happens?

RP Prompt:
They had worked for this for so long now, and it was finally almost time. All of those frivolous tasks and commands that the raven alpha had set for them were complete, and they had the final piece of the puzzle right here before them--a pure white feather, taken from the alpha's rival in what was perhaps a bit too violent a manner. Either way, the blood tinting the edge of the primary a wet crimson was proof of the deed, and Guntram had no doubt that their alpha would have heard of their triumph by now. The grapevine had many mouths; beaks in this case, each with a quick tongue that ensured that word traveled fast. They had no time for gossip, but it would serve their purpose well here. There was no need to trim the vine just yet, so long as it was performing as they needed it to.

A moment's consideration reared its head in their mind, and Guntram paused, just inches away from lifting the feather. Just in case word hadn't gotten to the alpha yet, would it not be better to simply bring more solid proof of the deed along? A feather could be from any number of things, particularly one so...generic as the pinion before them. Besides, while they were not one for the disgustingly wasteful displays of showmanship, it would be more impressive to hoist the rival's body above their head as they made landfall before their chosen alpha. They picked the corpse up with surprising gentleness, gripping its neck lightly between their teeth in an effort not to damage it further. Any mistakes now could cost them far more than they were willing to risk--they had done so well in ensuring that the body wasn't broken beyond recognition just in case they would have to return, insisting upon precision in their strikes as they brought the white raven down to earth. In their mind, they had done their task well, resolving the matter how they saw fit; there was no reason why their alpha wouldn't be impressed, perhaps even enough to finally ally with them. Guntram almost chuckled at the thought, a harsh rumbling grating in their throat for a moment before they took wing.

Flight was effortless, all six of their wings slicing through the air like blades with every powerful stroke. The limp body of the raven jostled between their jaws, dripping blood that was blown backwards to collide with their chest with a dull patter. They briefly glanced down to confirm the suspicion, nose wrinkling at the almost gaudy patterns created by the crimson on their coat. More proof of the deed, they reasoned as they began flying lower, spotting their alpha's favorite tree below. It was already indisputable, but complete certainty was better than needles of doubt. There was no excitement building in their chest as they landed, quickly folding their wings up as they stood to attention before their alpha--the cacophony of voices from the flock around them had hushed the moment they had landed, but when Guntram let the corpse fall, the wet thud almost echoed in the abrupt silence.

"I have done as you asked," they began, voice carrying a gravelly edge from disuse. "and now I wish to discuss the terms of our alliance."
The alpha had been watching from the moment Guntram had flown near, and he'd known what they had brought with them. Death on wings was a popular nickname for them--and now, with the Raven Lord standing before him splattered with blood and with the body of his rival on the ground, the moniker seemed all the more appropriate. Their teeth bore a red tinge when they spoke, and the raven almost couldn't help but wonder if they'd broken his rival's neck with them.

"This is...not what I asked, exactly." The alpha adjusted his wings, staring down at Guntram's irreverently-deposited trophy with distaste. The silence was palpable, and he looked up at his guest, their eyes stabbing into him like frigid daggers. This was dangerous territory, although he had no doubt that they would leave if he insisted. They had but one goal in mind, and that was to gain his allegiance. "But--I suppose it will do. We can talk." he added quickly, feathers bristling.

"I expected nothing less." came the reply, and the cold chill that had gripped his throat began to recede. He knew better than to endanger himself--he had an entire flock to keep track of, after all--but talking with Guntram was like flirting with a guillotine. He would do well to get them on his side, he assured himself. Doing anything less was...well, his rival was proof enough of that.

"No, I suppose you didn't."

Plot Ideas:
  • Breaking the Ice :: Guntram refuses to get close to others, but they'll have to learn to be familiar with their...familiar whether they like it or not. Their first raven may help them learn how to actually socialize with others in a way that doesn't make them incredibly nervous--or things might just go pear-shaped in that respect and make them more dedicated to their isolation. This would involve some SRPs as well as RPs with other people--after all, Guntram won't be able to practice on their raven forever, now will they?
  • Code of Honor :: Their goal is to rise to Conspiracy class, and Guntram has every intention of making it there. They want to establish themself, and they'll have to learn how to deal with the needs and demands of others--playing off of the Breaking the Ice plot point, Guntram will learn just how difficult it is to handle larger numbers of people while maintaining the balance of power. They cannot be as militant as they desire, which is something they'll have to get through their head early on; making enemies among their flock will be the last thing they want. They'll have to fulfill tasks to earn the favor of the raven alpha they want to ally with, and learn how to keep their bluntness to themself while they're doing it.
  • Familial Ties :: They aren't going to be very good with their family, in all likelihood. The concept of others being supposedly close to their heart by default is something that Guntram will not understand easily, but will put forth an effort to learn nonetheless; after all, maybe they can use it somehow later. There is much to learn from their mother as well--and Allide is likely going to be the first person they seek out to attempt to 'bond' with. Awkwardness will ensue.
  • Border War :: Eventually, something will try to encroach upon Guntram's territory. This will be a test of their leadership and their ability to resolve conflicts, either by force or by diplomacy. It's very likely going to be by force, but perhaps they'll have at least one diplomatic bone in their body by this point through their dealings with their burgeoning flock. They need to learn that bloodshed is not required to end a conflict in order to better command their flock, simply due to the fact that a bunch of dead ravens is of absolutely no use to them. It isn't very good for getting more ravens on their side, either.
  • Conflict Theory :: After they've matured and have established themself as a capable Conspiracy-class Raven Lord, Guntram will undoubtedly have earned themself at least a few enemies along the way, be they among their own ranks or outsiders. By now, they will have learned that an iron fist is not always the best way to lead, but the reality of the matter is that the scars they made in the past might not have healed properly. They'll have to try and make amends, whether they like it or not--and with as little combat as possible, as much as they'll hate to admit. It wouldn't do to make matters worse.
