Tsukumogami are youkai created from tools or objects that have been mistreated. The spirits that reside within these objects become angry at their mistreatment, and eventually the object gains sentience and becomes a youkai. Some tsukumogami become vengeful at those who mistreat them and try to take revenge, but not all of them do. Tsukumogami range wildly in personality, some are harmless or even helpful to others, while others can be hateful and dangerous.
