Ｆａｉｒｙ
Fairies are small, simple elemental youkai born from nature and magic. Usually, they take the form of children, and have wings of varying shapes, corresponding to their element. Usually, they are insect wings, but a few, such as Cirno, have shown unusual wings. As well as wings, they also have elemental magic and powers.
They are generally childish, playful, cheery, and emotional. They're simple-minded, and often of low intelligence.
Fairies are also immortal - whilst they can die, they will always reappear as the sun rises, due to how common their element is. This leads to Gensokyo, having quite a high population of them, with numbers in the hundreds.
