Angel
In usual depictions by humans, angels can be classified as any humanoid with feathered, birdlike wings, often with halos of light above their heads. They rarely have any other strange features in contemporary media, but some sources may depict different classes of angels as having extremely different appearances depending on their job and power.
However, humans tend to boggle things up and cannot be trusted.
Proper scholars acknowledge the term "angel" to be referring to any individual under the genus Luciavius. Angels are capable of modifying their chosen form in their early life in order to differentiate themselves from other angels; they are all very similar on a genetic level despite any massive differences. As such, two individuals from completely different places are still grouped under the same genus.
Generally, angels are humanoid, have large, feathered wings with sustained flight, hollow or partially-hollow bones, phenomenal eyesight, and sharp talons in place of their toenails.
However, variable and unique traits are commonplace. Some angels have very pale or ghostly skin, some may emit a very soft glow from parts of their bodies, and some may have multiple sets of wings or eyes. These traits or sets of traits lead to specific "morphs" getting distinct names.
As a rule of thumb, angels do not age and have very resilient bodies with great regenerative ability. They err towards having a lot of magical and spiritual power; some more powerful angels are capable of existing perfectly fine without a physical body at all.
