Ah, the beauty of a hunt well done. It left Ruoho with a pleasant taste in her mouth, and not just that of the meat. Dragging one of the carcasses back to the edge of the lands, she looked about, feeling pride arc through her chest as she noted the way the land was beginning to cool under her paws. It was a nice change of pace, the feeling of the grass moving about her, and simply laying down, enjoying the sunshine. Why not take a moment? Breathe and let the world just BE.

Unfortunately for Ruoho, a busy little bumblebee - or rather, a hyperactive yellow-and-black lioness - had no intention of letting her sister sit and relax. The energetic female was bored, and when she was bored she sought out things - and family - that could potentially relieve her boredom. And her target for the time being? Ruoho, who she was sneaking up on right now. Fortunately for her sister, nyuki wasn't the most subtle of lionesses, and her footfalls were incautious... especially when coupled with giggles more befitting a cub than an adult.
just now

The sound of her sister's footsteps drew Ruoho's attention up, green eyes glancing at the yellow and black lioness. They were full grown now, and Nyuki was often still the most active of them, with an energetic nature that exhausted the female sometimes. Sitting slowly, she decided to allow the giggling lioness some leeway. Why not let Nyuki pounce just this once? She was a patient lioness, not often the sort to stop anyone at any game. Even now she would accept it, and deal with her sister's energy. Darling girl.

Excited that her sister appeared to have not noticed her, Nyuki continued creeping up on the other lioness, before finally pouncing on her with a playful snarl, nipping Ruoho's ear before grooming it fondly. Rolling off of her sister, she swatted at her nose and smiled. "Hi, Ruoho! What'chya up to? You were zoning out almost cross-eyed~!"

She allowed her body to slowly fall to the ground beneath her sister's weight, green eyes glancing up at the n** on her ear, the gentle groom on the spot only a moment later leaving her in a fair bit more ease. The swat of a paw on her nose drew a sneeze, and she chuckled softly, "I just finished a hunt, Nyuki dearest. I was bringing some prey back. Would you like some?" Why not be kind to her sister? She loved the little bumblebee dearly.

"Oh," Nyuki murmured, stretching out on her back with all four paws in the air. "No thank you, sister. I'm not hungry - but it went well then? No difficulties? No injuries?" She hoped not - epecially the latter. Injuries were messy and she hated seeing her family hurt. "Do you need to rest now? I don't mind if you do."

There was a laugh from her maw, eyes watching Nyuki's movements as she stretched out. Her sister was so silly, but at the same time, Ruoho loved her for it. It was sweet and innocent, something refreshing. Tail flicking back and forth, she leaned over and licked the top of the yellow female's head, "Mm. It was successful. I got a gazelle for myself, and one to bring back." She was a good Huntress, usually able to discern what she could and couldn't go after....successfully that was. "What have you been up to, little bee?" This followed by a lick of a rough tongue to Nyuki's nose.

"Me?" Nyuki asked, blinking at her sister with innocent eyes. "Why would I have been up to anything? I'm a grown lioness after all, sister. Surely I would never be up to things!" As her sister licked her nose, Nyuki twitched it, and a moment later she had to sneeze. "I'm shocked that you would even consider me as up to anything! Shocked and offended, Ruoho." A giggle escaped her, however, pointing out her entire lack of seriousness.

"You're always up to something, little bee." It was teasing, affectionate as she moved to gently begin grooming Nyuki's head. They may be full grown, but Ruoho often worried about her sisters. All of them. She was so happy where she was, and the world was settling into place as much it should. Well, aside from her lack of cubs that was. She wanted them dearly.

"Maybe, but it's never anything bad," Nyuki murmered, before rolling over to give her sister better access. "So there's nothing new to talk about?" She asked after a moment, unable to bear the quiet any longer. "Nothing at all? It's so dull when nothing happens, don't you think?"

Nodding solemnly, the female continued her grooming. A rough tongue lathed over her sister's fur, working out any dirt or knots. Nyuki was so precious, honestly, and the way she was reacting was pleasant, "Mm. I am honestly hoping for something to happen, dear sister. Perhaps it will, perhaps it will not But it would be something to interrupt this dreary tedium."

"For what, Ruoho?" Nyuki asked, tilting her head and turning to peer at her sister - it was a bit of an uncomfortable position to hold her head in, of course, but Nyuki didn't particularly care about that. She as much more interested in whatever it was her sister was hoping for. "What is it? Perhaps it's something I could help you with?"

A small sigh exited her maw, and she looked up to the skies, thoughtfully, "I wish to have children of my own, dearest sister. Somehow. I'd like to be able to raise them...what can I say." There was a soft noise of sadness at the thought, as her head drooped to press to Nyuki's own. She carefully turned it to a position that would be more comfortable, and licked again, "But perhaps it will come."

"Cubs...? Nyuki asked, blinking. "Hm. I can't say I've ever thought of having any myself," she murmured, and nuzzled her sister fondly. "But if you can have some, then I'm sure you'll be a wonderful mother to them. Do you have any particular male in mind to father them? I could help you win him over if you want~"
