Octavian positioned himself up against the walls of one of the shops, that way he wouldn't be in the way of any of the people. Most places didn't particularly welcome loiters but there were some buildings that he knew didn't mind it. Sometimes even welcomed him around the area should he come by again. But he never would, not as the same face at least. Today he dressed himself as a women, though he hid his face behind a hood that attached itself to a plain long coat, keeping his head down as if he were minding his own business. Most of what he was wearing was casual and neutral in color. Nothing that would cause him to stand out from anyone else. To anyone watching he blended in well, as he didnt want be remembered.

Though should one try and take a peak under the hood that fell over most of his face, they would find a pair of brown eyes with they aid of a contact and glass eye, and seeming light makup. Simple eyeliner and eye shadow to complement the eyes. What most would not know is that he did a lot of makup work such as contorting to give the illusion of a different face shape, ontop of that there was work done around his missing eye to hide any scaring. As for his hair there was little going on with it, he wore a light brown wig down that draped over his shoulders and fell over his chest.

While flat chested women weren't uncommon, the hair helped aid him in giving an appearance that he had something going on. Naturally he would add something of the sort when cross dressing but he didn't want to attract attention. Not in that way. Or at least not at the moment. Either way, the density of the hair made it appear so.

As much as Octavian wanted to be back at his shop he decided it was time to go back out again. He never minded the busy streets as he grew up on them. That wasn't the issue, though. It never was. His problem was that there were to many people out and about today. Normally this area was decent enough to perform but that didn't look like it was going to be the case.

With a small sigh he moved off the wall to search around for a new place. He knew them all like the back of his hand and even watched them change.

Once he found a decent enough spot he sat down and started to set up his guzheng. It was a variation of the koto with a few differences here and there. After that was set up he positioned himself comfortably behind it.

Octavian then lifted his hands above it with a grace and paused for a moment for effect and to let others know he was going to preform for them. A few seconds went by and he started to play a song that he knew. It was one that was sometimes played in his shop, though usually accompanied by drums.

Speaking of his shop, he left it in the hands of one his trusted employees, Nora. She was a wonderful little thing.

Anyway, Octavian didn't play extortionately loud, he wanted people to move his way. Not for the attention, though. Also he wanted to listen onto any conversation within range

"Where did you want to eat tonight?"
"I don't know- honestly I was thinking of something quick to eat."

                        ".....so then she said....."

He played on, pretending not hear any of it.

"Yeah, I saw that just the other day!"
Oh? Now what was that one about.

                        ".......maybe he's not inter-"

Have you heard about the news?
"You're gonna have to be more specific dude."
                        "The one about...."

That one sounded like it was going somewhere, unfortunately that particular pair moved away, as most did. After all he could only ever hear parts of conversations, never the full thing unless he was lurking.

"If only you could see the world through my eyes. Then you might just understand."
___________________________________________________________________

Despite the time of day being sometime in the afternoon, the sky still seemed to be dark, as gray clouds hung low over the city. There hadn't been a call for rain so early in the day, but if Craith didn't know any better, he'd say the weatherman had gotten it wrong...again. Not like that would be much of a surprise of course. It wasn't like it was necessarily easy to predict the weather in Reim, what with so many supernatural beings living there, some of which probably had some ability to manipulate the weather in some way shape or form. Then again, it wasn't like he minded the rain all that much either. Sometimes it made doing his job a little easier, as it tended to clear the streets, at least a little. He reached his hand back a bit, fingers brushing over the hood of his coat, as his gaze drifted slowly over the crowds of people that seemed to be drifting from place to place near mindlessly. Some looked to the sky briefly, muttering quietly to themselves about how it looked before going on with their day. He contemplated pulling the hood up over his head, if for no other reason than to protect the headphones he had up over his ears from the possible downpour they were going to be hit with. However, his attention drifted away from the thought as he watched a few teenagers run past him and through the crowd, only disturbing a few people along the way, bumping into one woman in particular who seemed to stumble towards the wall of a shop, looking startled before she spun to look for the person who had pushed her.

'Probably thieves...or trouble makers from one of the small time gangs wandering the city. I'm thinking it's a little closer to thieves however...' He thought to himself as he shifted his gaze to a figure he caught walking a little further behind in the crowd. Sighing, he moved from under the overhang he'd decided to stand under, reaching back to pull his hood up over his head, this time more to hide the fact that he was actually watching the person. Some people looked at him a bit oddly as they watched him, a male with odd pinkish eyes, wearing headphones, suddenly pulling his hood up over his head, as though to hide himself. He threw them a slight smile, closing his eyes briefly, and pointing up towards the sky, as though to indicate the dark clouds hovering over them all. It wasn't really like he was lying. Originally he'd wanted to pull it up to protect his headphones from the rain after all. Though...there still wasn't any.

"Wouldn't want to be caught...ya know?"He said simply, the people that were watching him, seeming to accept his words, though not without at least a small bit of caution as they moved on. Once again, he couldn't blame them, not after those teens had torn through the crowd the way they had. They had probably thought he was with them. He let the smile fall away as he started moving forward, the music playing in his ears nothing more than a low hum so that he could keep his focus on his surroundings. He was waiting. Whatever the figure in the crowd planned on doing, he would be prepared for it. Whether it was meant to harm one of the passerby, or if his aim was him, he was ready to deal with the issue. When he reached the lady that had been pushed to the side, though, he paused and placed a hand on her shoulder to calm her down a bit, a smile on his face. He hadn't failed to notice the figure sitting down against the side of the building a little further up ahead of him as he did so, or the way the crowd would turn to glance at them as they passed, nor did he miss the group of troublemakers rushing past them, just barely avoiding kicking her and the instrument she was holding. He wasn't sure if she had even noticed them, but his mind was more focused on the situation at hand. He'd check on her in a moment.

"Are you okay mam? Did they hurt you? Or take anything from you maybe?" He asked in a light tone, as he looked to her and away from the group. She seemed a bit thrown off by the sudden approach from him, and contact, but once she realized what he'd said, she started checking her pockets as though to make sure everything was there, before she turned back to him and shook her head a bit, a smile on her face, though it was barely noticeable. He nodded and pulled his hand down from her shoulder, getting ready to turn away from her, when suddenly he felt a tug on the wire for his headphones. The phone it was connected to would have been torn from his pocket if he hadn't reached up to stop it, however, he felt the headphones themselves slip from his head and at the last second he reached up to grab the arm of the man who had attempted to steal them and the phone from him.

Craith grinned at the male, a spark of amusement flickering through his rose colored eyes as he tightened the grip he had on the mans arm. Clearly his expression wasn't one the thief had expected to see, as he had attempted to pull away, seemingly more worried about how friendly he looked than he probably would have if he'd looked pissed. Of course he wasn't exactly pleased about the guys attempt, as there was a possibility he may have broken the headphones, but at the same time he'd kind of expected him to do something, and as long as he hadn't attempted to physically harm anyone he didn't see a real reason to be all too angry at him.He let him tug him along a few feet, before finally pulling him back as the guy had almost stumbled into someone in his panic and attempt to get away. Once the guy had regained his balance and had turned to face him, he found Craith's face a little closer to his own, his rose eyes a little darker in color from before, signifying that some level of frustration was finally starting to show through, though the guy, who he was sure was one of the people unaware of the actual existence of supernatural beings, didn't seem aware of the slight change in color.

"I'm sorry, but I'd really appreciate it if you'd stop trying to run away...and I think I would appreciate it more if you would also return the headphones you, quite so rudely, pulled from my ears." He said, just loud enough for the guy in front of him to hear, at least, no one else but someone who wasn't human would be able to hear him anyways. "Though something tells me you weren't just after the headphones. They wouldn't be worth much to you by themselves. My guess is you were hoping to get a hold of my phone as well. Why? Out of all the people here, out of every person holding a phone in their hand, probably equally as expensive as mine, why did you go after mine in particular? Did I seem the most unaware? I doubt that. There were at least six or seven other people more unaware than I was around me, and yet you chose me. Not only that, but you chose me once I seemed distracted enough. Would you mind explaining why?" He asked, his voice holding amusement more than anything in it as he watched the man struggle to get his arm free. When the thug saw him grin again, he decided to throw the headphones at Craith, which distracted him enough as he tried to avoid letting them hit his face for him to loosen his grip enough for the guy to get away from him.

At first, Craith made a move as though to chase him down, but instead, he took a few quick steps forward, before pausing, his gaze darting around through the crowd as the sound of music finally seemed to register in his mind. He'd heard it before but until then it hadn't really reached the forefront of his mind, as he'd been more focused on the situation he'd been in. Slowly, he brought his headphones up, settling them around his neck, before he plugged them back into the phone, and continued walking as he let his gaze skim the crowd again. That's when he remembered the lady he'd seen sitting down against one of the shops, and his eyes drifted in the direction he thought he'd remembered her being in. When he found her, he slowed his pace till he was almost stopped completely, his gaze on the instrument the woman was playing, as he followed the movements of her fingers as they glided gracefully over the strings. It sounded similar to a koto, but the design told him it was more than likely a guzheng, the Chinese equivalent of the instrument. Not only that, but the sound was a little different as well. He contemplated stopping to listen, but for some reason..he got the feeling the woman wasn't looking to be gawked at, as she appeared to keep her head down the entire time she was playing. He did, however, pause for a moment, his gaze moving away from the instrument and to her as he tried to figure out if she'd been hit by the people from earlier. He didn't see any signs that she had been...but then again.

"Excuse me..But I thought I would ask, as I couldn't see clearly from where I was. Are you alright? It looked like those kids almost barreled right into you."

It looked as if it would rain. Not that that would prevent him from staying out here, even then most of those predictions seemed to be wrong. He couldn't blame anyone for that. Though, they might as well just start telling people to be prepared for anything. Knowing the make up of this city's population made it so just about anything could happen no matter the weather. It was for that reason that he choose to continue on playing.

Truthfully he didn't care much for this instrument as it was one of the ones he often used to take damage. Should some form of accident or weather threatened it.

Just then a group of people plowed through the area, barley missing his instrument. To go along with it he stopped playing to glance up in the direction that the group ran in, then over to the area in which they came from. There seemed to be something going on over there. With that he proceeded to finish up the previous song, then transitioned into a new one that was much more peaceful. This would give him an excuse to play a little more quieter to pay more attention to what was happening around him, particularly with the man with the pink eyes.

As Octavian played on he accidentally snapped one of the strings in order to focus in more on what was happening with that confrontation. The people who gathered around him began to mutter or leave. Which he was fine with, even then he had what he needed to replace the sting. It was just annoying. But he had to say something.

"Ah, no need to worry, it's to be expected." He announced, in a more womanish voice, to what was left of the small crowed with a small cheerful laugh. Octavian then took the tools out and the extra string to begin changing it.

Regardless this gave him the opportunity to listen more in on what was happening some ways away. He couldn't hear everything that was happening, but it most certainly sounded as if someone was about to get their teeth kicked in. Perhaps not, the pink eyed man appeared to be rather amused. Considering what he saw before he could only assume the other person was a thief. As much as he wanted to look up to see and observe it better, he had to keep his head down to avoid making it obvious that he was listening to this.

Then again, changing the stings was quite the task. Now that was something he could use.

As Octavian moved around he occasionally glanced up around his surrounding area, almost as if he was paying careful mind to not disturb those near him and the ones passing through, but his focus was somewhere else. Once he was done changing the sting he placed the instrument back on the stools, having missed that the pink eye'd man was making his way to him while doing so.

"Excuse me..But I thought I would ask, as I couldn't see clearly from where I was. Are you alright? It looked like those kids almost barreled right into you."

                        Now this was a surprise.

Octavian slightly glanced up at the stranger, careful not to disturb the hood's position. Disguise or not he preferred to keep much of his face hidden, while still giving him a chance to view others. "Oh? I didn't think anyone still cared much for street performers."He laughed lightly, keeping up a feminine appeal. "But yes, I am alright. Thank you for asking"He said, smiling up at the stranger before him. What a strange man. How often did he pass by these parts? Surly he wouldn't miss a face like this one. Not to mention with eyes like that it might as well be a neon sign.

"If only you could see the world through my eyes. Then you might just understand."
___________________________________________________________________

She appeared to be surprised, though not enough to make her jump it seemed, which was fine with him. He wasn't looking to give her a heart attack. She looked to be having enough trouble as was, between the people who had rushed past her, and what appeared to be a broken string that was set off to the side.

'Hope they weren't the cause of that...Though luckily it seems she had a spare on her. No broken strings on the instrument...as far as I can tell.' He thought to himself as he watched her carefully, listening for her response to his question. He blinked slowly, a smile slipping onto his face, as he let the look of focus change into one of relief as she said she was alright. Of course that didn't mean he'd actually stopped studying her. It wasn't necessarily like he thought she was someone he needed to keep an eye on. He was just always cautious about the people he stopped to talk with, and this one, still seemed insistent about keeping her head down. He wasn't one to feel comfortable if he couldn't meet a persons eyes. Then again, he had spent plenty of time hiding his own from people.

"Hmm sadly there are a lot of people who don't really care for them anymore, but there are also those who find them to be just as interesting and important as they used to be. In my opinion, street performers are some of what makes the city feel like it might still be alive." He said, chuckling, his gaze shifting to the side a bit as he heard a few people nearby whispering to each other, his smile falling just slightly as he listened in. Apparently they weren't too into street performers themselves, that or they weren't a big fan of him. Not like that would surprise him, he had plenty of enemies out there, and plenty of people gave him looks of disdain as they passed him on the street on a daily bases anyways. He raised an eyebrow at the pair, clearing his throat a bit which made them look towards him before hurrying off.

"People these days don't have much in the way of manners it seems. Anyways...I'm glad you seem to be alright. From where I had been standing before, I couldn't tell if they had hit you, or your instrument." He said, his gaze shifting back to the stranger sitting before him.

"Speaking of which...the instrument you have here. Is this a guzheng by any chance? I know only a few people who can actually play it all too well when playing at a faster pace, like you seemed to be doing earlier. Most usually end up missing a few notes or messing them up in some way, but I don't think I really heard you miss any during your performance. I'm honestly impressed. I'm better at handling psaltery myself. Then again I don't play instruments much at all. It's not something I am too interested in doing professionally." He could play the koto to some extent, along with the gusli, a small, stringed russian instrument that he'd learned to play at a younger age, but he didn't play often as it always interested him to hear other people play more. Not to mention, he was more for art based things, taking apart, and rebuilding, copying the things he's seen, watching people build or create art of some variety. Music was nice, but more so when other people were playing it.

((Out of Cognition: Ugh I feel like this post was bad, sorry. lol looks like my headache was still bothering me enough to mess with my writing. I'll get better at posting for him soon hopefully. ALSO in case you don't know, a psaltery is generally a smaller stringed instrument, sometimes more box shaped, than can be held in your lap and played. They can be called lap harps as well, and smaller harps that can be held in your lap are also considered psalteries though I don't see how they are considered boxy. XD))

Octavian grinned, already enjoying this small conversation."I never thought it to have ever died. If anything it lay dormant, waiting its time. I feel as if it is waking up again and it's more restless than it has ever been. Exciting is it not?" He laughed lightly, watching how the people reacted towards him and the stranger. It was hard to pick out who their glares were directed more to. Not until the stranger cleared his throat. By the looks of it they were more concerned about the stranger, though a few remained unphased. A mix of both perhaps, for those looks werent uncommon from when he would go around playing an instrument, especially when it was one as big as this. But Octavian's curiosity towards the stranger started to grow. Clearly a few of these people did not appreciate him.

He wouldn't have paid as much mind to it, but it was quite the handful of people. Almost as if one of the other people would knife the stranger if given the chance. And those looks don't come from no where either. That was something he wanted to find out as well. While he already had ideas working in his mind, he refused to accept any of them. Not until he had facts or solid evidence.Gangs existed yes, but perhaps this man simply was just another crook. Surely if he was Octavian would have heard of him. Or he was just a nosy man that people didn't like. Whoever this stranger was Octavian was determined to figure it out.

"I'll admit they came pretty close to it.But if they did, they'd have hell to pay for it.Octavian joked. He was grateful that they didn't, not because he cared for it, but because he would have had to react to that. Maybe even chase them down for it as no sane person would just let that happen.

Octavian tilted his head slightly as he listened to the stranger. A small smile crept up on his face as he did, "it is,not many people know the difference- im glad, he said with a chuckle."As they say practice makes perfect and we all start somewhere. Though, you might want to be careful with those compliments or I might start bragging."He teased. Normally he would take the more modest approach, but he wanted to keep this stranger's interest in some way and modest didn't always do it for him. At the same time, he didn't want to size the stranger up to fast as they might dislike that. So confident but honest would probably be the best way to play it."I'd love to hear you play one day, perhaps if I ever see you again we could even play together for fun."he offered, though he doubted that he'd ever see the stranger again. Not unless some impression was made, if he didn't already make one.

"While you arnt interested in playing professionally, you most certainly have a taste for music. If you have no where to be at the moment- would you like to sit and listen some more?" Octavian asked. He wanted to have a certain level of comfort with the stranger, to at least make it easier to meet him every now and then if possible. That way he could later appear to him as a different person and mess with him in other ways or not approach him at all and just observe. Octavian wanted to see more to him other than just a friendly stranger. To know and understand where those looks of disdain came from.

To top it off, allowing the stranger to sit by him would make it easier to focus in on their thoughts. It would be a bonus if the stranger was forced to sit close to him; as direct contact made hearing those thoughts more clear.

(( OOC: That makes me upset now, I looked it up and it looks like a triangle. Who thought "ah yes this looks like box". Homboy needs to go back to shape class ))

"If only you could see the world through my eyes. Then you might just understand."
___________________________________________________________________

'Exciting? Interesting..not too many who seem to feel that way about the current situation. Especially not those who know what's really going on. If anything, they are much more hostile when there are any clear signs that we might be on the move again...Then again...No one ever said that's what she's talking about. She could mean something entirely different. Though I do have to agree...it is...exciting, in one way or another.' He thought to himself, on the outside smiling a bit, a look of amusement in his eyes, though he did his best to hide just how he felt about the situation. Letting a little through was one thing, but he had to be careful, even with his words. Especially when he knew he had an issue with lying. He just couldn't seem to do it, no matter how hard he might try. The closest he was ever able to get, was twisting his words when he spoke, to hide the true meaning behind them as well as he could. It was either that, stay silent, or change the subject usually.

"Hm, lying dormant huh? I suppose you might be right. Something definitely seems to have stirred it from it's slumber." He said, looking at her thoughtfully. He didn't fail to notice that despite her talking to him, and her grin, she still didn't seem interested in lifting her gaze enough for him to see her eyes. Sighing internally he decided it would be best if he just let it go for now. Though it wasn't going to be easy..meeting another persons eyes generally helped him read another persons intentions, mood, and whether they were lying to him or not. You could tell a lot from a persons eyes, that is if the person was someone easily read through them. Some people, like himself, were good at keeping most emotions from showing through, though honestly he had to admit that sometimes, he gave things away with his expressions when he intended to hide them. He blinked and laughed a bit lightly at her comment on giving the troublemakers hell if they'd kicked her instruments.

"Yeah, honestly I'd have to say you're right. They would have had hell to pay I'm sure. Whether it was from you, or anyone else standing around here who had even a shred of decency in them." He said, his smile turning to more of a grin as he said this, his worries over her not meeting his gaze out of his mind for just the moment. Though he'd barely caught himself before he'd said he would have chased them down and gave them hell for hitting into her himself. Luckily though, he managed to keep most implications that he'd almost slipped up out of his voice. "Also, as for the instruments, and me knowing the difference. I've been around all sorts of instruments since a young age, one of the main ones being a koto. Though I've also seen the guzheng often enough that I can tell the difference in sound, and design. Both are lovely instruments, but for some reason I was never able to adjust to the guzheng, while I can play the koto, at least a little. Odd probably yeah, but nothing much I can do about that. Maybe I just never had a good teacher. And as for you bragging. If you have the talent, I don't see much reason for you not to show it off." He said, shrugging slightly, a small laugh escaping him.

He paused though when she mentioned wanting to hear him play one day. That she might even like to play together with him for fun. This reminded him of the fact that he didn't really know her, and he tilted his head just slightly, a smile still on his face but the wariness returning a bit more. When she asked him to sit and stay with him, he flicked his eyes to the sky above again, for just a moment, before he brought them back to her, his eyes more than likely giving away that he wasn't entirely sure if it was a good idea to stay there. This whole time, she hadn't shown him her eyes once, and she seemed a bit good at distracting from the fact that he shouldn't quite trust her right away.

If nothing else, he was curious as to whether or not it was simply his carelessness that made him forget, or if maybe she was doing it intentionally. This brought a slight, odd grin to his face, and he shrugged, closing his eyes for a moment. When he opened them again, he was moving slightly to the side, so he could sit down next to her.

"Well I can't make a promise on playing together, or you hearing me play, but I suppose it couldn't really hurt if I stayed here and listened, and maybe talked a bit more. If you really wouldn't mind me staying here of course. Though I have one request." He flicked his gaze over to her as he sat down next to her, careful not to bump her or her instrument. "Would you mind too terribly, actually looking me in the eyes as you speak. I feel it's a bit awkward trying to talk to someone when you can't meet their eyes...Of course you don't have to if you don't want to. It's just a simple...request."

The stranger seemed to be amused by what Octavian said. Soon enough he would find out why. Through his thoughts or getting him to out right tell him. Personally he'd rather find out through a conversation, it built more trust between the two. That way he could persuade him to say more. This truly was going to be fun.

Octavian smiled at his reply. "I can only help to wonder what it is as it could be a lot of things, but I can only imagine a mighty beast, he mused. That much was true, he had heard rumors and stories. Most which were vague, but considering how often he heard them and how similar they all were, he could assume them to hold true. It would take more digging around, but it wasn't as easy as it sounded. Even for him some things were harder to get. This particular one was proving to be a bit of a challenge.

The stranger seemed to be holding himself back from something. A lot of things at that. It sounded almost as if he was crafting his words around it so that he would ignore it. Honestly it was hard not to. Even though he couldn't hear exactly what was going on in the stranger's head, he could tell there was something going on as he tried to focus on in him. But the people passing by were making it hard to get anything. In fact he would get distracted and go to another person's thoughts. It was starting to give him a headache.

Octavian nodded in agreement with the stranger, someone would have whether or not they cared for a street performer. It was rude, and not to mention troublemakers were annoying as is. Especially when they ran about as they did. Octavian laughed along with the other at his comment. So he didn't mind braggers as much. As long as the person could back it up and prove they are of that worth. That would make it easier to admit some things if need be. But not a whole lot.

"I've somehow managed to practice the koto as well. I'll be honest though, at first I didn't know the difference and played it the same. Luckily I did have someone to teach me."He said, deciding to give the stranger some personal truth. He would just have to make note of what he said and how he said it to the man.

For a moment there Octavian noticed a change in the stranger, he seemed unsure. While he was more for body language as some people tended to move around to how they felt naturally and any attempts to hid it made it look natural...but eyes gave away more. Their positions made this easier for him to see. If they were leveled with one another could have potential hid that. Not like the stranger's hood covered as much as his own did.

Despite that, the stranger decided to take up his offer having debated it. Almost as if he was looking to figure him out just as much. Though, It was hard to tell when there were not thoughts to be heard just yet. Octavian could only judge his off of the strangers expression. And honestly he was quite the puzzle.

"All is well." Octavia smiled, listening to him more as he spoke. So that was it. The stranger disliked not seeing his eyes. Fair enough, honesty and openness would probably give Octavian what he wanted anyway. "Truth be told i'm awful at eye contact as I get distracted easily, there are just to many things I like to look at." Octavian admitted as he gently lowered the hood and pulled out the long hair out from under the coat. Though, he might have accidentally gave way to what else he observed. Hopefully the stranger wouldn't pay much mind to it or think nothing of it. If not maybe he could play it off as a casual flirt, the stranger was rather attractive.

(( OOC: Boxtriangle hybrid lol. will do~ ))

The seconds keep on passing, without a sound,
You turn around, and as you walk away I call to you!

"If only you could see the world through my eyes. Then you might just understand."
___________________________________________________________________

Craith couldn't help the laugh that escaped him at the others response on what might have woken up the city, his gaze sliding to the woman next to him, just as she pulled her hood back, and loosed her hair a bit. A great beast? Perhaps you could call it that, you could call THEM that. Their symbol was, after all, a phoenix. People have seen it lately, spray painted on walls, left on messages left about the city, in messages left for other groups that were either pushing their luck with them, or who were part of the group that had over taken their city in the past. For now the symbols were small, not overly noticeable, but still not quite able to be ignored completely. Soon though, the messages were going to become far from easily overlooked. When that happened....Then, he thought, it would be more like the city and the beast it had harbored, had both truly awoken.

'Perhaps a bit over dramatic there..but it's not like it's untrue.' He thought to himself as he took a moment to study the musician's uncovered face, hair, and eyes. To some it may seem slightly creepy for him to do that, but he meant no harm in it, and didn't do it in a way that was odd. He was simply being observant.

He relaxed a bit, reaching his hand up to his own hood, fingers slipping over the fur along the edge for a second as he contemplated pulling it back as well. It would only be fair, right? She pulled her hood back so he could see her eyes and face a little more clearly, he should do the same thing. Was that safe though? He didn't see why not.

"Ah, so you can play the koto too? I'm sure you can play it better than I can play a guzheng though. Since you had a teacher. Or maybe you're just a quick learner when it comes to playing instruments." He said, shrugging a bit as he pulled his hood back, letting it fall down against his back. There wasn't much to reveal, other than the headphones around his neck, which probably had already been noticed anyways, and a few ear piercings, one of which was a thin black band of metal that looked something like a dragon twisting around his ear, but it would probably help her trust him a little more if he showed the same respect.

Even though something about the way she had said she got distracted by the things she looked at made him a bit wary. He wasn't really sure exactly why it made him nervous, but it did. 'Not everyone you see is an enemy Craith, calm down. She probably meant nothing by it. Just keep yourself focused, and try not to let your guard drop too much. Ugh..I need to relax. She finally decided to lower her hood, to let me meet her eyes. Things should be fine. Even if she's observant..I am too. I can use that to my advantage if things get out of hand here.'

"I see. That's understandable. I find myself getting distracted by plenty things myself. Always so much going on around me. Can't help be curious. And sometimes people are just too interesting to look away from." Okay so perhaps it was a bit weird to say it like that, and he wasn't entirely sure how she was going to take his words. He realized it might have sounded flirty in some way, or she could take it exactly as he had intended for it to sound. Of course he also realized he'd just given away that he can be rather observant himself, even if he hadn't given away just how observant he could be.

Hopefully she didn't think much of it.

"But, I do appreciate you're being willing to let me see your eyes. I know it was probably an odd request, but I feel a little more at ease being able to meet another persons gaze when speaking to them. " He said with a grin, as he looked from her and to the crowd. A few people still stood a little ways off, looking over towards them every once in a while, while others gave them quick looks and continued on their way. He wasn't worried about the ones who kept walking, but the ones who remained there, watching them...they were ones to be cautious of. He was sure they were there for him, though he supposed he could be wrong. The question was, would they leave him be while he was with what seemed like a normal civilian, or would they eventually make a move while he was there? Only time would tell he supposed. "People seem to be staring though...Maybe they are waiting for you to play something? Perhaps people aren't as disinterested in street performers as we thought..." He said quietly, gaze locked on one of the people who were watching them, before he forced himself to tear his gaze away so he could turn it to her. He had a smile on his face, but it was probably clear he was trying to give her some kind of hint.

'If she plays something now...noticeably enough maybe it will discourage them, as more people are sure to start paying attention to us. I'd much rather not have her hurt in the crossfire, so keeping them away would be for the best right now. I just hope she either decides to play and not question it...or that she gets the situation in some small way at least and goes along with it. He thought to himself, curious as to whether or not she'd pick up on the hint and situation.

XD Also the earring is important, though it's not something I expect Octavian to pick up on right now. XD It's not up on his ability description right now but it's a seal that keeps his telekinetic abilities in check. It's almost like a living band of metal that can change shape, length and size as needed, and it can move anywhere on him. Right now it's just on his ear. lol Thinking of it looking like this right now. But made of an odd black metal, instead of being silver. Opinion? Can find another design if it looks odd.))

Octavian watched as the stranger started to relax a bit more. They seemed to have debated it for moment. Honestly he wouldn't care all to much if the other decided not to. But it would give more to his character on what he choose to do with that.

"Something like that, yeah." Octavian smiled. It was vague enough not to be considered false. There was more to that story, one he would not share. It was to much of a give away, and if this stranger was around back then...then they might have heard about it. Maybe. Either way, he had to play this a certain way to avoid the stranger from figuring out who he actually was. Regardless if they were around or not. Anyway it was best to play it safe overall when there were a few people who did know. Both trusted and those he managed to silence. Finding them on the other hand would be another thing of its own. Though, this won't be an issue if the stranger doesn't catch on. But there was not need to get ahead of himself like this just yet.

Given that the stranger decided to pull their hood down as well, they must have wanted to give equal treatment. Octavian almost felt a little bad even though he wasn't doing anything entirely wrong. Not to mention, the stranger seemed to be only paying the same amount of respect that was being thrown his way. Octavian wouldn't push it though. He wasn't willing to risk saying to much just to see how much the stranger would say. There was no reason to be gambling like that just yet.

For now he had to focus on getting into this stranger's thoughts. 'Not everyone you see is an enemy Craith, calm down.[...]-y advantage if things get out of hand here.' Alright this was a start, but it was like trying to find the right radio frequency. Though he wasn't about to get his hope up on getting everything. But clearly this guy was paranoid in some way. That had to do with the onlookers.

"Well, I guess i'll be the first to say you're easy on the eyes."he commented with a laugh. Guess they didn't really think much of his statement. Might as well just be friendly with the guy.

The stranger then mentioned the crowed. Right, they were still here and still a thing. Though, Octavian had to make sure that he wasn't looking to focused on the other. Ontop of that he had to hide his frustration. Luckily playing would help that. "Looks like you're right. Maybe I can give them something more than they bargained for."He grinned, lifting up his hands above the instrument. For the most part he pretend to ignore the stranger's hint. That was mainly for the other to know.

Octavian started plucking idly at the stings for a moment before transitioning into something more modern and one that people were more likely to know. Not to mention, get a little hype.

'-rather not have her hurt in the crossfire, so keeping them away[...]'
Octavian couldn't catch all of that, he knew there was more. But that was all he needed to start ruling out what this stranger wasn't and start picking out what he was. So far it was looking towards gang member. He didn't take them to be friendly people, though. Not like he had a whole research paper on them either.

(( OOC: to bad the music overpowers the instrument just a bit but you get what it is xD also i'm trying to throw more of vince emotions in there for you to work off of it you want to ))

"If only you could see the world through my eyes. Then you might just understand."
___________________________________________________________________

It seemed she didn't really want to share anymore on the subject of how she learned to play her instruments, as her response was rather short, and uninformative. He could respect that, he supposed, though it was a bit disappointing that she wasn't really willing to share more information. There was no real point in asking her to elaborate more on it either, as one look at her told him she wouldn't budge on this, but that just made him a little more curious. Was talking about how you learned to play instruments really that much of a big deal? If it was for her, then it must be something rather important to who she was as a person. Or he was over thinking it, and jumping to conclusions. Something he really shouldn't do.

It wasn't easy to keep himself from doing so though, especially when he couldn't help but pick up on the slight traces of frustration she seemed to be showing through her smile, and her eyes told him something was eating at her, though he couldn't tell exactly what it was. Maybe he was pushing on a subject that really was of some importance then, and she didn't like it too much? 'Or maybe, just maybe, I'm starting to jump to conclusions again, despite telling myself I shouldn't!'

He laughed quietly aloud, though he hadn't intended to, at his thoughts as he went between watching the crowd and her. His gaze, however, eventually rested back on her, as she mentioned giving the crowd more than they had bargained for, and as she brought her hands up above the instrument, as though to catch the crowds attention. Of course he hadn't missed her comment about him being easy on the eyes, but at the moment at least he didn't feel like offering a response. Not that he wasn't flattered, even if she might have been lying. Which, for all he knew, she could have been. 'Did she get the hint after all? Or is she simply going to play because she is taking my words more literally? I can't really tell....Either way, I'm grateful. Though it remains to be seen if the people eyeing us are more along the line of sanity, or if they crossed that border a long time ago.' He thought to himself, his head tilting as the other finally started the song she had planned on playing.

He would be lying if he said he wasn't shocked by her choice of song, and also would be lying if he said it wasn't difficult to hold back the laugh he felt build up at the sudden change in the tone of music, and therefore, to some extent, the situation.

He brought the back of his hand up to cover the lower half of his face and turned away from her a bit as he tried his best to regain at least some of his composure. It wasn't an easy task, but eventually he managed to choke back the urge to laugh, and he turned to her, amusement in his eyes as he watched her fingers glide over the strings of the guzheng. For just a moment, he'd forgotten about the people who'd been staring at them, but it turned out that was fine, as when he quickly flicked his gaze towards where they'd been, they appeared to be looking around at the crowd that suddenly seemed to have started gathering around. Not too many people actually stopped to watch, but there were enough, and even those who didn't stop were slowing down to see what was going on. A few looked displeased by the song choice, but others were laughing, smiling, or just straight looking amused by it. 'So sane it seems...well mostly. That guy looks even less pleased than he did before. So scary! ~' He thought, simply finding it amusing over anything else. If it was just one person, he was sure he could take them on without getting her hurt in the process but if it had been the entire group, he couldn't have guaranteed it. At least this way..'I can fight if he makes a move without causing too much damage.'

"Okay, so, honestly here, I wasn't really expecting you to play something quite like that! Caught me off guard quite a bit, but I'd definitely say it caught the crowds attention. I don't think I can say this enough, but you really are good with this instrument...though it looks like it's been through some tough times. Or maybe it's just old and has seen some wear over the years." He said, the grin still on his face as he shifted a bit, moving so he was a little closer to her so he could lean to see the instrument a bit more clearly. However, as he did, he felt the weight in his pocket shift a bit, and realized just a moment too late that his phone was about to fall.

"Eh? Oh...s**t."

As if that wasn't bad enough, it seemed like the moment it hit the ground he felt a sudden, but quick, snap of pain in his head, his vision becoming blurry for a moment before suddenly clearing up again. The world, as he reached for his phone, flooded with color that wasn't there before, and his mind slowly shifted to adjust to his sudden inability to perceive things as they had been just moments ago. It messed with his head a bit as his thoughts fought between what it had seen moments ago, and what everything looked like now, though in the end his "colorblindness" won out, and with one hand up over his face, he closed his eyes against the sudden brightness, and reached down with the other to get a hold of his phone.

He barely noticed when his hand brushed lightly against one of the woman's legs, and then as he lifted the phone, against her arm, though he did open his eyes a bit just as he did, the world around him bright with unnatural color that almost seemed to eliminate all shadows around him.'Why now of all times? Why did it have to flare up now? Why can't I ever seem to get decent control over this issue, or why at least can't it give me more of a warning before it hits? He was wrong! I'll never get control of it at this rate.'

"Sorry, forgot this was in my pocket..Guess I leaned forward a bit too much when I went to take a look at your instrument." He said, bringing his gaze to her cautiously. He wasn't sure what his eyes looked like, since sometimes when his ability to see through illusions flared up they tended to take on a soft sort of glow. If they in fact had, he could end up giving away more than he was comfortable with her knowing. If she didn't react oddly, then he supposed it would be fine though, since it probably meant she hadn't seen anything odd.

"Luckily doesn't seem like it's damaged, which is good. Friend would have killed me if I'd broken another one so soon after he'd gotten it for me." He muttered, lifting the phone a bit to look it over, showing a small phone charm hanging from a thin string that was connected to the thing. It looked like a little black bird. A crow. After a moment, he moved to put it back in his pocket, not really able to hide the slight shaking of his hand as he did so. He was a bit dizzy from the sudden change, and nervous about what the woman may have seen.

'I'm starting to jump to conclusions again, despite telling[...]' Someone needed to give this guy a comfort blanket and some hot coco. Not like Octavian could blame him at all. The stranger had every right to jump to conclusions depending on what brought that thought on.

From time to time Octavian would glance up at the crowed to watch how they changed and reacted. Though, he was more fixed on the instrument to free himself of any other distractions to try and keep himself more focused on the stranger sitting next to him, '-he people eyeing us are more along the line of sanity, or if they crossed[...]'. Speaking of the crowed again, if he really wanted to know what was up with those glares from earlier he should have just tapped into one of their thoughts. It was to late for that now. He was already set on the stranger and it would be a pain to switch and then go back. Not to mention the headache was bad as is.

Octavian played on, continuing to watch his hands and they moved across the instrument. It pleased him to see the stranger next to him react to the song in some way as well. Above all the crowed was certainly giving mixed reactions.'So sane it seems...well mostly. That guy looks even less pleased than he did before. So scary! ~' Oh boy we are getting some where now. It was still mixed in with some of the crowds and still rather unclear, but he caught it. How exciting!Though he had to wonder which person. Octavian glanced up for a moment. Oh that guy. It looked like he woke up on the wrong side of the bed and hearing this song just made it worse. Sorry dude, just walk away.

When the song was over Octavian looked over at the person next to him, listening as he spoke. "I'm glad you enjoyed it."He laughed lightly, then moved his hand to brush over the instrument. "A mix of both actually. Its not exactly the most convenient size to be walking around with and well, i've been playing for a while now as well."he smiled as the stranger than moved to get a a better look at the instrument.

However, something fell from the man's pocket. Looking down, Octavian saw it was their phone. Well hopefully it wasn't broken. As the stranger moved to grab it, they lightly brushed their hand up against him. Finally! This is sort of what he was hoping for. Wait- no. All of a sudden his vision was flooded with obscure colors in place of previous ones. It threw Octavian off, though he did his best to regain his composure before the stranger saw. 'Why now of all times? Why did it have to flare up now? Why can't I ever seem to get decent control over this issue, or why at least can't it give me more of a warning before it hits? He was wrong! I'll never get-' Then they were gone. Just like that. The thoughts were clear for that moment, but those colors that had flashed across his vision....

This gave way to more questions than answers. Who was the stranger referring to? What was that? Why did that happened? Was it connected to the phone? Did it randomly happened to this guy? Does he need a doctor?

"Ah, no worries!"He said with a small smile, trying to play it off the best he could. Octavian could manage but it certainly wasn't easy seeing something new like that. Perhaps it was actually connected to how this man thought. There were few occasions were other's thoughts were in the form of something else. No- maybe not. Octavian heard what was said in there, so there had to be more than just that.

"Oh thats good."He said, keeping it short for now to help hide anything in his voice that could potentially give anything away. Though there seemed to more be going on with the stranger. Watching as they tucked the phone away he noted the small crow and that their hands were shaking. Overall there was a dramatic change in their composure after what happened.

Deciding to take advantage of that, Octavian lightly touched their shoulder. "Hey, are you alright? Your hand is shaking." He asked, actually genuinely concerned about that much. Which was rare. Though, however the stranger decided to take it would be something else that he would have to find a way to deal with.

(( OOC: those are hella bright. I would die if thats what I saw.))

"If only you could see the world through my eyes. Then you might just understand."
___________________________________________________________________

He wanted to respond, wanted to say something about the instrument, but he was a bit on the distracted side, as he tried to fight back the dizziness that came with the sudden switch between seeing the world as everyone else did, and the way he saw it. If he'd activated it on his own the backlash wouldn't have been as bad, but he hadn't, so it was a bit difficult to get a hold back of himself and his thoughts. That could, of course, be a bad thing. With his mind occupied on that, it was a bit more difficult to control what he did or said.

That didn't, of course mean he couldn't still observe. Observation was something he couldn't just turn off, even if he were to close his eyes. While visuals wouldn't be there for him to see, there was still sound he could go off of. He wasn't just a good visual observer, he was good at listening when people thought he was oblivious as well. It was just easier to see things for himself, as stuff stuck much more easily that way. His mind was, after all, visual based. Photographic. 'Damn, I can only just hope she didn't see anything too odd, and that if she did, she just thinks nothing of it. Though something tells me that's highly unlikely.' He thought to himself, as he watched the woman closely, though mostly from the corner of his eyes, so she didn't know he was actually looking for a certain type of response from her.

The only problem was, that Craith hadn't realized just what she actually knew. If he knew that, there would be much bigger problems than there would be if she had only seen the glow in his eyes. It was bad enough that when he saw the change in her behavior, though it seemed she was trying to hide it, he got the feeling that maybe something was a bit worse than he first thought. In what way, he wasn't sure, but something wasn't right.

It also now occurred to him that she hadn't really changed her behavior until he'd dropped his phone, and had gone to grab it. Why though? What about that could have made her tense, other than maybe his eyes? Could softly glowing eyes really make someone lose their focus like that? He didn't think so, so what could it have been. He suddenly had the urge to move away from her, but he stopped himself from simply jumping up and leaving, as he was sure that would only cause her to become more suspicious of him, though he did fidget a bit, making it clear he was fighting off some sort of urge. Whether she knew exactly which one or not though, he wasn't sure. He couldn't get a hold of himself. It was a bad idea for him to stop and talk to her..

'I should have just kept moving, this probably wasn't my best idea. I dropped my guard, let her draw me in because of my curiosity. I should have just turned down her offer and walked away..but now..' He let his thoughts trail off as he felt his hand tighten on the phone that was now in his pocket. This had thrown him off somewhat badly.'No, calm down, she probably just saw your eyes, nothing more. If you're lucky, she may have honestly thought it was just a trick of the light. There wasn't any real suggestions that she might know about us, or even about demons. Although at the same time...she did mention something about the city waking up.' He closed his eyes for a moment, trying to steady himself and his thoughts. The dizziness was leaving him, but slowly. It probably didn't help that he was thinking of worst case scenarios, which weren't going to help him calm down any bit. 'I'm thinking too much into this right now, and honestly, aren't we trying to make people aware of us? Only what if she is someone from another....' His thoughts cut off as he suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder, eyes snapping open, hand leaving his pocket with a jolt as he was about to reach up and grab her wrist. For a moment, he'd thought it was one of the hostile people who'd been watching them from across the street, but when his eyes landed on her, he calmed down, just barely managing to stop himself from pushing her hand away. He blinked, trying to understand what she had said. When it finally clicked, he cleared his throat, and sat up a bit straighter.

"Oh, sorry. I'm...well, I'd be lying if I said I was fine. I'm a bit dizzy at the moment..." He said, his voice giving away that he was clearly a bit tense, though meeting her gaze made him calm down a bit for some reason. She was legitimately worried, it seemed. Too bad he couldn't tell her exactly what was wrong, so that he could ease her worries a bit. Instead, he had to, as usual, dance around the problem by twisting his words. 'I feel bad, for having to stay quiet like this, but I can't possibly explain any further in detail. This situation isn't safe, I just have a feeling...even if it does turn out that I'm just overly paranoid in the end.'

His thoughts were quiet this time, as he kept his gaze on her, despite the worry about her noticing the glow in his eyes. He couldn't help but look anyways, as she looked a bit different without what might be considered the normal sorts of colors being there. If he'd known that she could see his thoughts, he probably would have looked down, or closed his eyes to avoid letting her see what he did, but he didn't know. He could feel people watching them as they past, some looking concerned as they must have picked up that the woman was worried about him, others just looking to look, and then there were those that took the situation the wrong way, and were giving them disapproving looks.

They were getting a lot of those today, and honestly, he was starting to get annoyed.

'People can't just mind their own business, ever, it seems in this city...though to be fair, I don't have much room to talk.'

"Anyways, yeah....sorry for worrying you. I think I'll be fine, as soon as this dizziness goes away. It's just a matter of when that's going to happen." His voice was quiet when he spoke this time, and his gaze shifted to the girls hand, then back to her, for a moment his thoughts turning over in his mind, though it was difficult to figure out what he was trying to understand with it mingling with the disorientation. Whatever it was, he knew it would probably eventually get him into more trouble in the end, as he was felt himself growing curious, once again. He'd put himself in this situation. What right did he have to complain? Might as well let some things play out and see what happens later on in the future. 'Can't help but be curious...Oh well, might as well just let myself fall a bit further down the rabbit hole. I've never had someone make me so nervous and paranoid within the first hour or so of talking to them. It's..something....I might regret this later, but maybe I should give her a way to get in contact with me....though...maybe not. I come by here often enough, there is always a chance we'll run into each other again.'

"I think, however, that I might have to get going...I mean, not that it wasn't nice talking to you, and sitting here listening to you play...but I do have things I should get done, and I'm not going to get them done by lingering here." He managed a smile as he looked down, pushing up against the wall behind him, so he could slowly rise to his feet, though he stumbled a bit, losing his balance for just a moment, which was something he usually didn't do, seeing as he was generally pretty coordinated.

'Well that's embarrassing.'

"Oh! I nearly forgot!" He said as he had moved just far enough away, turning to meet her gaze, that her hand would fall from his shoulder unless she chose to follow his movements, a mischievous grin on his face. "As a response to what you said earlier. You're not bad looking yourself...though I honestly think you'd look much cuter without all that make-up on." He said with a wink as he slowly backed away from her.

Octavian was still hung up on what he saw. '-n, I can only just hope she didn't see anything too odd....-highly unlikely.' By the sounds of it the stranger didn't really catch on too much. That was good, but it still sounded like they were not only still paranoid, but piecing everything together. That being said they would probably start catching on. Perhaps he should have made better attempts at being low key.

'...let her draw me in because of my curiosity. I should have just turned down her-No, calm down..There wasn't any real suggestions-...she might know about us, or even about demons.-she is someone from another....'There really seemed to be a lot more going on than the stranger was letting on to. It showed in some of their body language but...more was going on in there. Though, at this point he was sure he was in a gang, it was just a matter of which. A smaller one, or that other one....Either way Octavian wasn't all to interested in gangs. He just wanted to know any and all information and so far this stranger was looking to being his key to clearing up rumors. Honestly though, Octavian was really starting to feel bad for the guy. Reading other's thoughts was just as much as a gift as it was a curse.

After he had placed his hand on the stranger's shoulder they seemed to have almost acted on those paranoid feelings. But once they realized who it was they seemed to have calmed down for a moment. In response he just nodded, gently providing the stranger with some form of comfort. Not like dizziness really need that. 'I feel bad, for having to stay quiet like this, but I can't possibly explain any further in detail. This situation isn't safe, I just have a feeling...even if it does turn out that I'm just overly paranoid in the end.' Oh, he already knew, but honestly Octavian was starting to feel guilty about all this.

'People can't just mind their own business, ever, it seems in this city...though to be fair, I don't have much room to talk.' Now he was starting to wonder if this stranger was doing the same as he was. There was a thought fraction mentioning how the stranger was curious.

"Oh, no need to apologize." He said, making a movement to offer extra support should the stranger accept it.

I come by here often enough, there is always a chance we'll run into each other again.' This was becoming to much for Octavian to handle. Not just the thoughts themselves, but the colors included. Seeing the world as this man was, was becoming to much to process. Not to mention, making him dizzy as well.

That being said Octavian moved away as the other spoke once more about having to take their leave."Ah, that's understable. "He said with a small laugh. Personally he would like them to stay longer, but perhaps it was for the best. Speaking of leaving, he should probably go as well.

Octavian started to put away the instrument when he heard the stranger speak once more. Completely thrown off by it, Octavian sat there in shock, having completely forgot that the stranger could have just meant in general while still believing that he was indeed a women. Though, it was to late to take back that reaction now. Even so Octavian hid his face behind his sleeves, almost as if he was embarrassed by the compliment. But that was far from the case.

When he was sure the stranger had turned away, he unhid his face and looked down for a moment before regathering his things and slinging it over his shoulders. He already felt awful about a lot of what just happened, even though he was technically not supposed to know nor was he obligated to say, but he felt as if he should. This was something he was about to regret if it didn't end well.

Catching up to the stranger, Octavian gently tapped their arm to get their attention once more. "If anything, I feel as if I should apologize...I can read minds, not the complete thing unless certain things are met. In which sometimes I can then see how you see things especially if they go hand in hand with how you think. And for that you have my sincerest apology." Hopefully the other was catching onto what he had meant as he would prefer on not having to elaborate.

(( ooc: Lol its all good XD I just gotta back track a lil bit before the hand touch, so this post was probably a little unorganized and just commentary on craiths thoughts oops. Also changed the lyrics /o/))

"If only you could see the world through my eyes. Then you might just understand."
___________________________________________________________________

That was it...he was just going to walk away. Was going to leave her, thinking on his last words. He wasn't sure that would catch her attention enough to get them to want to meet him again, but if he succeeded, then that would be one plus on his side. Even though something told him he really should have just left without saying a word. He should have just left back when she'd invited him to stay and listen to her music. However, sometimes he was a little too curious and careless for his own good. He had allowed himself to be drawn to her..... Which, speaking of her, he couldn't help the slightest pause in his backwards walk, when he caught sight of her reaction to what he'd said. It struck him as odd, and...of course, unfortunately only made him a bit more curious and wary at the same time. However, once she seemed to regain her composure, at least a bit, and she brought her hands up to cover her face, as though perhaps embarrassed by his words, he shook his head slowly, and turned to continue on his way down the street, his gaze now focused a little more towards he ground as he went, hands in his pockets. He didn't even bother to pull his hood up, even though he could have sworn he'd heard the quiet rumble of thunder somewhere off in the distance. He'd nearly forgotten about the forecast for the city, and probably would have until it had been pouring down on them if he'd stayed with her a bit longer.

In some ways he supposed he was glad he'd decided to walk away, even if he felt things were left a bit suddenly, and though in a way, he really hadn't wanted to go. It was for the best....

'Thinking this way about someone you hardly even know? When did you start becoming so attached to people so quickly?' He scolded himself, sighing, eyes flickering closed as a slight wave of dizziness hit him again, causing him to sway, just slightly as he walked. Really, when did he start caring about people he'd just barely even met? Was it that he cared, or was he simply just curious? It wasn't entirely clear to him, and honestly, he wasn't sure it ever would be. 'And what was with that reaction back there? It was as if what I said had caught her off guard...in more than just a, no one has said something like that before, kind of way. Why would she react like that? Even if she did cover her face after as though embarrassed, she did it a bit late....' His eyes flicked open at this thought, and he suddenly felt the urge to turn back to see if she was still back there, just standing where he'd left her, or if she had continued off in her own direction, when suddenly, he felt a light tap on his shoulder, and he couldn't help but jump a little. Oh but did he regret that, as his head began to swim a bit, and he had to bring a hand up to place against his temple to try and calm it down.

Despite it, he didn't really stop moving, he simply slowed down a bit, his gaze flicking in the direction of the person who had tapped him, and he found himself shocked. It was her! She followed him...? He hadn't quite been expecting that reaction from her, but, he couldn't say he wasn't pleased in some way to see she had. As much as he hated to admit it. Of course this thought was brought to a halt as she started speaking to him again, and his hand that was pressed against his temple twitched a little as she said that she should have been the one to apologize, not him, and then continued on to explaining to him, exactly why she felt the need to do so.

She could read minds....?

"I'm...sorry? Did you just say you can read minds...?" Craith muttered, his voice quiet, and a bit distant sounding as he stared at her, a bit blankly, a million thoughts passing through his mind at once, before they finally slowed, then settled and he snapped his gaze away from her rather suddenly, turning it to the ground again as he felt a slight flicker of fear, panic, and then, finally, anger flash through his chest without much warning. For just a moment he actually felt his eyes change from their usual light rose color, to a deeper, redder shade in response to his emotions, but he quickly snapped them closed and forced himself to straighten up again, and take a slow, deep breath before he even began to think of responding. He had to think... "Seriously?"

'No..stop..calm down...if you don't, you might cause more problems than necessary.' He thought to himself as he heard someone nearby make a sound of surprise, and he opened his eyes suddenly, shooting his gaze in their direction, only to see that the glass in one of the windows up ahead was shaking a bit, a few cracks forming the more it did so. It made him flinch a bit, and almost instantly the red in his eyes started to lighten, becoming more like his usual eye color, though not quite completely, as they were still a bit darker than before. The shaking in the glass seemed to get a little more violent for just a moment, a massive crack forming, before it suddenly stopped shaking all together. He did his best to make sure he simply looked shocked by what had been happening, but he wasn't sure if he'd manage to pull it off. After all, he'd opened his eyes when he'd had them closed before to actually hide the fact that they'd turned red, and unless he was lucky enough that she'd been simply paying attention to the glass, he wasn't sure he'd get away with it. 'Okay....So that was a bit dangerous...I almost let myself lose some control over my abilities. I need to keep calm, and think, before I accidentally hurt someone. My telekinesis has always been a bit on the shaky side after all.' Slowly looking away from the glass, he let himself glance over towards the woman beside him, as he tried to both see what her reaction might have been to the ordeal, and also, so he could see how she was fairing after having admitted to her ability of being able to hear thoughts.

He wondered what else she was hiding..though suddenly that wasn't the only thing he was wondering. 'Hey, wait a minute! Are you listening right now?' He thought suddenly, his gaze intent as he watched her. Even if she was, he wasn't sure he could be upset. To be honest, it wasn't like she was the first mind reader he'd met, and really, it was his fault for not really noticing the signs that she might have been one from the beginning. After all, Kyrie was one himself, or well, he was a telepathic user in general, and there was more than one time he had to remind himself to keep his thoughts guarded while around the male, even if he didn't think he'd try and pry. Although he supposed that didn't change the fact that she might now know things she really shouldn't, and that depending on how she answered him, he knew she might be a risk to both him and his gang. He really didn't want to have to send people after her, and he really didn't want to have to threaten her, so if she answered what he was going to ask her...he might be willing to let her go without any problems. So long as those answers weren't the wrong ones.

"Alright..sorry for the slow response....but I'm sure you understand, I had a bit to think about there...So you can read minds...words spoken mentally..I'm guessing you can even catch glimpses of memories if given enough time and if the mind isn't too complex or strange, and when you said you can even see things the way someone sees them so long as it involves the way they think, I'm guessing that means you were able to see, in a way, through my eyes?" He brought a hand up, placing a finger next to one of his eyes as though to show what he meant, though it wasn't really necessary. "And also, when you said so long as certain things are met, I'm guessing you mean that there are specific conditions you have to meet in order for your ability to function at it's full, or near full capacity. Would touch happen to be one of those conditions?" Probably a stupid question.

"And lastly....What exactly do you plan on doing, with the information I am guessing you more than likely pulled from my mind? I'm sure by now, you at least know enough to be aware that I'm not just the usual passerby, though exactly what you know, and exactly how much, I can't really be sure of. And look, I want to forgive you, and I want to say this will all be fine, but honestly? That will all depend on you, and how you handle this situation." Did he sound like he'd just made a threat? He wasn't necessarily intending to do so, only planned on giving her a warning, but he wasn't sure if she'd take it that way. There was always the chance she'd think he was threatening her, especially so if she knew a certain few important details about him...but he'd just have to wait and see how she responded to know that for sure. Besides, he'd be lying if he said those simple warning words couldn't easily be turned into a threat at a moments notice. He only hoped it didn't come to that in the end as he moved to walk a bit closer to her, both so they wouldn't be separated by the crowd, and also so he could lean just a bit closer to her, his gaze intent as he said. "I'm sure that's fair enough..since I could instead just have felt offended and flipped out on you over this.." What was he doing? Was he stupid? What if contact was one of the ways she could read him? Yet he'd just decided to not only walk closer to her, but he also had risked leaning in a bit just to make sure she met his eyes and knew he was serious? CRAZY! That's what he was, crazy! He was still being careless it seemed.
