Personality: Raised by a warrior and a peacemaker, the two clashing personality types reflect near perfectly within Kanza. She is patient and kind, obedient and overwhelmingly loyal. She will go out of her way to help another person in need- regardless of their relationship- and has a heart of gold. Her temperament, however, is one that roars like wildfire. Fueled by passion and her own beliefs, she fights for equality and peace; unwilling to allow anything other than such. She speaks her mind, regardless of her company, and will inevitably refuse to give up on a task once she's begun. She is harsh when she needs to be, her words bordering on lethal when she's not focused on softening them (a focus that she does, often, forget) but whatever she says is usually quite well-meaning in her own mind.
Biography: Eori Li'Fae,
mother.
Dorne Ezriel,
father.
Kanza was both born and raised only a couple nights travel from the Weeping Mountains, within a small community known to its inhabitants as Elmyn. Kanza's parents themselves were Gruq farmers.
The couple met, however, long before either one had even a single inkling of an interest in agriculture. Kanza's father, Dorne, was a warrior. A soldier that had pledged himself fully to the Dovaa cause. He believed in peace brought about by force and fought in quite a few battles to prove this belief further. He met Kanza's mother, Eori Li'Fae, while traveling through Serenia. She herself was a Guardian; uninterested in the war that waged around her and instead intent on helping the people of Magesc however she could, in whatever non-violent means she was able. They fell in love within months of their by-chance meeting, and Kanza's conception brought about a whirlwind of change for the both of them. During Eori's pregnancy, the couple moved to Aisko (Dorne's homelands); where they settled themselves on land bought with savings they'd each accumulated over the years. Using the village's knowledge, their combined strength, and the vast population of unclaimed and especially stubborn Gruq to their advantage, the pair began their farm only a few years after Kanza's birth.
They raised their child with love, giving her as much of the world as they could possibly provide. They taught her the many ways of the world- intent on giving her as much information on each of the Maegescan races and their differing cultures as they possibly could.
Thoughts on the Great Engagement: "I wish only for the war to end peacefully, and with as little Magescian blood spilled as possible. It is my hope that the races will reach a point where they view each other as equals and not enemies. Until then, I will fight for my fellow Dovaa, and never give up on the peace that we were created to uphold."
Thoughts on the Magescian Races: "I do not judge by looks alone, but instead view each being as an individual. Though, of course, I will always feel most at home surrounded by other Dovaa, I hope to some day see the races brought together in harmony and not in bloodshed."
"Both Orderites and Oblivionites have reason to hold their grudges. A countless number of them have seen their allies killed by the hands of their enemy. They each go forward, serving their gods and fighting for freedom. Freedom that can only be acquired by peace. Magescans need to learn forgiveness to replace the hate that has boiled so viciously in their hearts. They need to accept their past tragedies and go forward. If equality is reached, there will be no more murder; no more revenge. I wish for a world of happiness, and will fight until my very last breath to attain it."
"Hybrids, if anything, should be treated with just as much respect as their pureblood brethren- if not even more than that, considering the lives that have been thrust upon them. I can feel nothing but compassion for the wayfaring hybrid."
Thoughts on the Dragons and Khehora: "I hold only a tentative curiosity within me, when asked of our draconic brethren. I've not had much chance to interact with them myself and know only what I am told. Should they cross my path during my travels, I should very much like to have a conversation and perhaps learn more about their culture."
Current Goal: Travel to Ashen City, in order to join the Guardians.
