~ *Sweet Memories* ~
"If you're feeling low and lost today
You're probably doing too much again
You spend all your hours just rushing around
Do you have a little time
Do you have a little time for me?"He hated days like this... where rain poked and prodded at the ground like a child with a captured butterfly. Vehicles with those driving splashed water upon those who strolled quietly on the sidewalk. Once you were affected by the icy-chilled rain, your body failed to warm itself again.

The sound of the bell echoed throughout the store, and almost instantly a male appeared behind the counter. He blinked at the little black rabbit ears that greeted him by peeking up over the counter. The male then gave a sigh. "Jamie..." he whispered tiredly. "Just what do you think you?re doing here...?"
"It's my stupid eyesight's fault..." Jamie growled silently, his huge red eyes blinking up at the wolf anthropomorph before him. "I have no glasses Mel... I'm going blind for heaven's sake." the child frowned.
"Jay... I'll get in trouble if I give you glasses for free..." the other male whispered, blinking at the small white-haired kid. Jamie frowned and nodded his head solemnly.
"It's alright Mel... I just wanted to take a chance at the very least..." the young anthro whispered tiredly.
The wolf anthropomorph before him gave a long sigh before holding his hand out. "Come on Jay... we'll find you something."
"But I-"
"Don?t worry about it... alright...? I'll pay for them..." the wolf cut-in, patting the child's head delicately. "Now come on..."
Jamie seized that hand that Mel was offering, frowning slightly for the trouble he was causing the other male.
--
"Alright Jay... is that the pair you like...?" Mel whispered with a small grin as Jamie held the glasses out. The small rabbit before him blushed slightly and nodded his head quickly. "Good... at least they don't make you look nerdy..."
"Mel... I can't just take these..." Jamie whispered, frowning at the older male.
"Of course you can... now put them on and go home Jamie." Mel whispered, glancing down at the child. "It'll be fine... I have enough money to pay for a simple pair of glasses... now move along..."
Jamie gave a small, sweet and sincere smile before he headed out of the shop. Glancing behind him every so often to make sure that the other wasn't just fooling around with him... and that he could actually keep the pair of glasses he had received.
He sighed in relief when it finally processed that no one was coming after him, and put the glasses on.
Ok... so maybe days like this weren't so bad...
