Chittentown Fluid Redistribution Station #365794

The options for this Location changed JAN 5, 2015.

This RP is open to all shop trolls. Trolls are not required to roll and may post as frequently as desired. Posts containing rolls must have at least two sentences of RP to be counted. If trolls interact with others and reach 500 words doing so, this RP can be counted for 1 RP point.

Encounter Rate: Trolls can roll to explore Fluid Redistribution Station #365794 once per day.
(ex: You can roll on Monday, then another roll unlocks after midnight (Tuesday) in your time-zone.)
Encounter Pool: Roll 1D4. In addition to the result you find when you explore, you gain that amount of points. Keep track of your points, and when you get to 300 points, quote the mule!

Also, if you roll a 1, then a 2, then a 3, then a 4 consecutively, quote the mule!

Since the end of the Chittentown drought, the Fluid Redistribution Station has gone back to the way it always had been before its fifteen minutes of fame: functional, and unobtrusive. Tired fluid workers went back to their factory jobs as the plant kicked back up again, distributing necessary liquids to Alternians everywhere. Caution tape and protest signs have all been swept away by drones, leaving the station as pristine as a desert facility can get. Occasionally, a worker will enter or exit the building, but tourism and interest for such a facility leaves much to be desired.

Pool Results:

1:
You find the water distribution facility, in the northern quadrant of the Redistribution Station. Things here are a lot more exciting now that the water is back in Chittentown. In that things aren't quiet. It's kind of loud. Like waves, crashing against the coast. Only in the desert.

2:
You find the sopor distribution facility, in the southern quadrant of the Redistribution Station. This particular fluid is important for troll livelihood! There are a lot of informational pamphlets and caution signs around describing the wonders of sopor slime.

3:
You enter the main station and wander down the halls for a while. Amazing.

4:
You end up in a tour of the facility. Neat! The tour takes you through the many exciting facilities of the station. You even pick up a free water bottle! You get an extra roll today!

Drought:
Old events
The station's doors are tightly closed, as are the gates in front. Strips of tape with 'Danger' and 'Do Not Cross' have been pasted over both, and standing in front are blank-faced security drones, each wielding heavy truncheons. In front of them is an angry mob. Trolls of all blood colours, although mostly staying within the lower side of the spectrum, march up and down a safe distance from the immediate reach of the drones, throwing words and the occasional rock at them.
"Where's our water?"
"We need to drink!"
"Where's our water?"
"Not in the sink!"
The protest chant, while probably befitting from a more skilled author, is straight forward and to the point. The thirsty expression on each troll's face emphasizes why they're here. As time goes on, the crowd will only continue to grow and get louder.

Participate in the Protest
If you're feeling like practising your vitriolic hate speech in the anonymity of a crowd, now is the time! Pick up a placard from the pile, wave it, and release some deeply-repressed anger.

Trolls can roll 1d4 in their roleplay post every 24h, as long as they do something that might be seen as dangerously rebellious. (eg; yelling, throwing things, waving a sign, making a funny face, being a lowblood, or standing too close to the protesters) This represents how much attention they are drawing from the drones at the gate. When your troll runs out of energy and leaves the station to head home, tally your final number and check below to see if anything happens.
1-4
Your troll failed to stand out in the crowd. Safety in numbers!

5-8
When you return home, you find a message of repossession pinned to your door and a few royal drones hauling one of your most valuable items away down the street. Looks like trolls who don't play nice don't get nice things.

9+
As soon as you're alone after the protest, you get jumped by some official looking thugs. If you are a child, your lusus manages to drive them off or guide you to safety, but it's a close call. If you're a teen, it's time to STRIFE! Start a new battle thread, and post the code below as the first post.
You have encountered two Unfriendly Thugs!
Other trolls can assist in this fight, as long as there is an ic reason for them to join in.
The mechanics work similar to regular boss battle, although this could be classified as a mini-boss.
Once the mini-boss is at 0hp, this can be counted by all trolls participating as a battle rp for growth. If you have any questions, please PM the mule!

Unlike regular boss battles, the mule will not be posting new rounds, and players can simply post as fast and often as they want, taking turns to attack one at a time. Each time every player in the fight has had a turn to attack the mini-boss once, a new round begins.
At each new round roll the standard 2d6 and use the table below to see what damage you've taken. As always, the first number is what you should check for your damage, and the second is the amount done to the mini-boss.

THUG STARTING HP: 50

The two tough trolls bar the narrow street in front and behind of you. "There's enough trouble in this city right now -", rumbles one of them " - without trolls like you causing trouble. It's important to learn, early-like, that if you cause trouble, you get trouble in return. Ain't that right?" The other one nods silently, and cracks it's knuckles. "Think of this as a free lesson in life, kid." Silent nod. "And learn to keep your mouth shut." They step forward, and block out the light with their bulk.

If you rolled a 1, the two brutes surround you and start to clobber you with fist and foot alike, only stopping to admire their handiwork. Their heavy fists have left a nice pattern of bruises blooming all over you. Take 4 dmg.

If you rolled a 2, one of the bruisers stands back and begins to roll a niccotine-laced tree-pulp cylindrical smoking device. The other grabs you by the collar, lifts you up, and smacks you against the wall a few times. Take 3 dmg.

If you rolled a 3, the thugs take it in turn to kick sand in your face, and laugh. Take 2 dmg.

If you rolled a 4, one of the thugs makes a really nasty comment about your lusus. You're wounded emotionally, what a jerk! Take 1 dmg.

If you rolled a 5, you manage to keep some space between you and their menacing fists. Either that or they aren't really trying hard.

If you rolled a 6, you manage to get some control over your jittering nerves. Who do these guys think they are?! They aren't even in uniform! Your next attack is loaded with righteous outrage, and does double damage.

When the mini-boss or all trolls have reached 0hp, please look in the spoiler below.
Mini-Boss at 0
The first thug stands back and puts his hands up. "Woah there bud, we didn't realize we were dealing with a real spitfire! Ha ha - we was just kidding around, right?" The second troll nods with a little more emphasis than before. "No need to get hung up over it, seeing as you put up a pretty fair fight. Cause all the trouble you want." With that, the two trolls turn and take to their heels as fast as their wounded machismo will let them.
Players at 0
"And now, hand it over." The two thugs go through your pockets, emptying them of everything valuable you have on you. If you don't comply, one lifts you up by the feet and shakes you up and down until everything has fallen out. Jewellery and trinkets are snatched away, and you're left in a defeated heap in the alleyway. Better go check around at the pawn shops to buy your valuables back before other trolls get their hands on them! As soon as you can stand up.

Explore the Station
Technically, no troll is currently allowed inside the station. However, around the rear of the wall, there is a child-sized hole in the wall. If a little troll was given a boost, they might be able to wriggle through.

Troll children in groups of 2+ can explore the station. If they have small lusii, they can be accompanied, but larger ones must wait outside as they cannot fit through. Whenever your trolls chance room the first troll to enter must roll 2d6 to determine where in the station they are, and if they have been spotted.
The first number is used on the chart below to determine the room. If the number is the same as the room they just left, players can choose to either go to the previous, or next number on the list. (Leaving room 5, roll a 5. Players can go to room 4 or 6.)
If the second number matches the first, they have been caught by a guard drone, processed through security, and tossed out! Trolls cannot explore the station a second time after being caught, but if they leave on their own accord, they can return whenever they want.

1
The entrance hall to the plant is a lot cleaner than the rest of the building. And emptier. The only thing here is portraits, hung on the walls on either side, commemorating past Lead Pumping Technicians, or at least that's what the plaque below each claims. The trolls in the photo look bored, disinterested, or in some, straight up dead. Working at this place must be a hell of a good time.

2
Filled with electronics, this room is cramped, with dozens of screens spewing out numbers that, judging by their flashing red animations, aren't good numbers at all. Surprisingly, the place is deserted. It shows signs of recent life though, print outs piled on desks and the floor, and mugs containing the rotten remains of someone's drink.

3
This room is vast. The ceiling stretches above you into the darkness, with huge pipes snaking from floor to ceiling like giant metal tendrils. There are machines here that look heavy duty, the kind of things that would normally make it impossible to talk over their shaking and groaning and rumbling. Now however, they sit quietly. You can't help but notice that there seem to be small plants blooming from between cracks in the pipes.

4
Congratulations, you found the most important, majestic room in the entire station, the bathroom. The sinks are bone dry, similar to the rest of Chittentown, and the toilet stalls have all been marked off with warning tape. One however, sits with it's door open, the tape pulled aside. The toilet itself looks fine, apart from the green, leafy plants growing out from inside the bowl.

5
Another room that shouldn't be empty, is empty. It looks like the break room, judging from the sofas and magazines, and quietly flickering tv screen. A dartboard hangs on the wall with a few darts stuck in it, the rest lying scattered on the floor. Food sits on plates with a few bites taken out, then abandoned. The atmosphere can best be described as creepy, with a touch of worrying on the side.

6
Whoever works in this room is important. Probably the overseer, or the lead whatever. It's large, open, and with one wall a giant window, looking out into the vast hall with the station's pumping machines. Like everywhere else, it's empty. A pen lies on the floor near the door, and paper is scattered across the desk. Most of it is undecipherable to the laytroll who knows nothing about flange pumping ratios, but all the reports written in red ink with bolded words and underlines show a worrying trend.

(LFG)

Keionx had discovered the issue with the water fairly quickly – not hard when you were thirsty and working hard on rebuilding and renovating slums into someplace nice for a whole bunch of people to live. Steely bravery could only take you so far until you had to drink. Keionx gravitated towards the crowds, wondering what the fuss was about. Surely the empire would take care of it's own? That was what happened in the stories! That was what she would do.

She wondered if she could find some way to cart water in – altruistically, of course. There was not a sane bone in the orangeblood's body.

Still... A place that was guarded, with no entry allowed... clearly, this meant that something dire had happened within, and possibly, some beast or monster to slay. She tapped her training sword in its sheathe and shoved her way closer to investigate, breaking through the crowd and heading around to the back – dungeons, in FLARP campaigns, sometimes had a back way.

There was a hole in the fence, and Keionx pondered it for a moment. It called to her, ready for an adventure...

SKAEYS FALLIN
(The Kender has Arrived)

Skae and Taldad circled around the mob high overhead, out of reach of most thrown items but still within hearing. Not that it was so hard, with every word being shouted. His goggles helped keep his eyes from drying out, not that he really needed the winds help for that. The water being off had thrown him for a loop when he'd finally returned to hive. Thankfully he'd had some containers filled with it stowed away under all of his piles of junk treasure.

He made Taldad drink first, he was smaller and didn't need as much as the corvus did.

Taldad banked sharply to the right and circled down closer, until he was able to land in a zone that wouldn't have gotten him fried by the drones as he landed. Skae slid off his back and down one wing, and let himself be herded up close to the corvus's chest. He could feel how nervous Taldad was, hear it in his voice as he told him to stay close and to try not to let anyone see him doing something strange.

They shuffled around the building, looking for anything that could give them a clue about what happened, but nothing. There was absolutely nothing on the outside that gave them a single hint. That is until Taldad saw it, a small hole just big enough for Skae to crawl in. Taldad was against it, but Skae's logic won out in the end. They needed to find out why there wasn't any running water. Yeah they could just leave for someplace else, but their home was here, no matter how rarely used.

Skae needed to sleep in sopor, real sopor and not just the patches he'd become dependant on. And with no liquid the sopor would stay on his body and that wouldn't be good for him in the long run. Biting his lip he stoked Taldads plumage and crossed the distance (the large, crowd infested distance). By the time he made it there was already another troll there, an orangeblood if the symbol on her dress was to be trusted.

He peeped in surprise and cringed back, before straightening his spine and taking a (tiny) step forward. "A-are you h-here to figure out what's w-wrong with the water?"

As a rule, Alexin didn't really mind what happened out of town. They generally stuck around in Four Fronds, or more specifically their hive. But they'd come to Chittentown for a promising rare book retrieval, aiding of course by their large (one might say gigantuan) lusus, Splitch. Splitch was currently flying up above the crowds and the like as Alexin investigated. Because you see when they had gone to collect said book, the storeowner had been well. Uhm. Deceased. Deceased was the polite way of putting it. Alexin hadn't spent long examining the body (They glossed over it mentally, putting the crying jag down to travel tiredness and the throwing up down to unfamiliar food.) but yeah. Dead troll.

And then of course there'd been the state of Chittentown. Not that Alexin had expecting it to stand up to the magnificence of Four Fronds of COURSE, but well...they hadn't expected it to look this run down! So they'd gone exploring. And what had they found but a protest, and people shouting. Not....that interesting, and potentially dangerous for a highblooded child who could easily become the target if spotted. But then they'd spotted something else - two trolls the same age as them, sneaking round the side of the building. What was that about?

They caught up just as Skaeys began to speak, and the pieces fell into place.

"That."

Alexin proclaimed, admittedly quietly as to not draw attention from anyone at the front of the building.

"That sounds like an excellent idea, let's go! C'mon, I'll give you two a boost and then you can pull me up!"

Alexin's tone suggested they was expecting to be obeyed, and indeed they was moving towards the wall and making a brace with their hands.

((Party time!))

Keionx brightened at the Redblood's entry. It was so much easier to be heroic with an audience, and she stood up straighter in a suitable pose. ”Indeed I am, good citizen!” she announced, ”If there is a bedevilry at work, I shall defeat it, for I...” she paused for emphasis, ”Am Keionx, Knight in training.”

Her face brightened as she saw Alexin's familiar form. ”Commander!” she called to them, remembering their brief conversation from before, ”Art thou here to rescue the citizens of this burg from danger? It is a great cause!” she gestured expanisvely, clearly happy to see them, both of them.

”Thy idea is splendid. We shall proceed...” she made a charge gesture with her hand, ”Onward!” She climbed the fence – not hard with her practice with Busthind's slopes – and offered her hand in assitance, smiling pleasantly...

Voscil had come to Chittentown on a whim. The commotion on the television had been enough to attract the yellowbloods attention, it was the latest breaking news. A chance at adventure and a look see into the problem had her off and running. The travel from NHC to Chittentown hadn't been too bad, even the dry desert climates didn't seem to phase the lowblood. MamaJu had naturally joined her on the journey. Nosy and all too curious she'd made her into the loud crowd upon arriving in town. Brimming with cheer and enthusiasm Voscil was an unwitting participant in the chaos. Up on her tip toes and giving a hoot and holler, Vos's voice seemed lost amiss those gathered; adding instead to the sheer volume.

However, she quickly grew bored with standing around with the angry mob. Voscil soon wandered away from the assembly. Her lusus gave a sigh of relief, glad to be away from the crowd. Out of the corner of her eye, she had noticed a few small trolls sneaking off in the back and climbing some fence. She realized even from this vantage point her lusus wouldn't be able to fit into the hole, much to the she-beasts dismay. Now that sounded like a lot more fun than shouting at a bunch of drones! The fence would be no problem, at least from the looks of it. Unafraid, she puffed up to her full height and quietly made a hasty retreat sneaking back around towards the fence.

As luck would have it, she could hear voices and seemed to have caught up to the group. Waving her hand in greeting she approached the bunch. "Hey! Wait up! I wanna come too if you all don't mind~" she called out, grinning. Her greeting was short, and just as soon Vos was quickly climbing the fence and dropping down onto the ground. She had the decency to wait for the rest of them to make it over at least.

((I had her creep join up with everyone since Draconic said it was fine! thanks for the invite >W< ))

When it came to protests, Vremea remembered deciding never to actually go out and join them-- too rowdy, too attention seeking.

      Until today.

Today, Vremea opened her sink to find a slow trickle, and then, suddenly, nothing. It startled her, and the first thing she did was go see if she could fix it... but then she heard a distant murmuring of trolls-- and as it turned out, all the trolls in Chittentown were in her exact situation. Shock and irritation coursed through Vremea's veins, and the first thing she did was go to the front doors of the place... only to see the extremely large group of trolls standing, chanting, searching for attention. Wanting to be heard. Vremea's heart leaped in her chest, and after a few minutes of pondering, contemplating if she should or not, she decided to go ahead and DO IT. Because goddamnit, they needed water.

With a growl, Vremea joined the group of protesters, pumping her fist into the air and yelling out the chant, hoping she looked like one of the crowd and not someone who was looking for attention.

Alexin vaguely remembered Keionx in a positive manner, and it was to their great dismay that they found themselves completely unable to remember her name. Thankfully her announcement previous had caught their ears and they found themselves able to reply justly.

"Of course, Keionx! And yes, we're gonna be heroes of Chittentown!"

Alexin carefully gave each of the other trolls a boost up into the wall, making sure it was done safely - lowbloods or not, a commander took care of their troops! But also went second in case there were scary things in there. Up above, Splitch screeched their own displeasure at their troll dissappearing into a hole in the wall where they couldn't follow : after all, the owl outsized many of the small buildings in Chittentown, let alone a small hole in the wall only suitable for a child!

Then, waiting for whoever was going to help them up, they jumped for the outstretched arms, scrabbling at the wall as they did so: thanks to whichever of the young trolls helped pull them up they made it into the hole as the four youngsters spilled out into....what looked to be a break room. Alexin frowned at the strange emptiness of the area, and began to poke around.

"Odd." They commented. "Look, this food looks fresh but there's nobody around...and the TV is showing only static....It's like the place was abandoned - but hastily..."

Voscil could faintly hear her lusus growling in annoyance. She was pacing the fence line watching as her daughter slipped out of site. It was too late to look back down; she’d already descended into the rabbit hole. The yellowblood's attention switched to the two trolls talking of becoming heroes. Clasping her hands together in anticipation she gave a little cheer of delight. "Ooo! You think we'll really be heroes? I'm totally game for some of that action~!" She exclaimed, barely able to contain herself. Bouncing up in down in place, Voscil grinned toothily.

Once she was sure everyone was over the hurdle of getting inside Voscil scampered on ahead of her little group. Zipping about, she took her time to comb the area they had spilled into. She darted around the room, inspecting the room as a whole before deciding there really wasn’t much to the place save the television, and the dart board. Now however wasn't a time for a round of darts, no matter how much fun they could be. This was a serious matter; they had to figure out the mystery of what was going on so they could become the town’s heroes after-all. Her brows knitted together as she spoke. "I dunno, it really does look abandoned...I wonder where everybody went. Maybe they all had something to do?" She chimed in before making a beeline for the dart board.

Arching up on her sneakers toes, she squinted at it. "Weird, who leaves in the middle of a game?" she rubbed her chin, humming thoughtful like. Based on the number of darts on the floor, it seemed like they'd been dropped where the trolls holding them had been standing. Satisfied she'd inspected everything of interest she wandered back to the group of trolls, leaning against one of the sofas. "Oh! By way, what does everybody go by? Hm? Hm?! I'm Voscil! It's nice to meet everyone~" She asked in a sing song voice. The blue blood was calm and cool, and supposedly their commander. It was weird seeing a level headed highblood by her accounts. She'd expected him to be ill tempered or barkish in his commanding. Vos had heard him use the name Keionx for redblood that seemed to talk with an accent of some kind she'd never heard before. Meanwhile, the rustblood seemed terrified which didn't surprise her.

SKAEYS FALLIN

The little rustblood was quite content to let the others talk over and around him, as he followed them into the station. It had been a bit of a scramble to reach into the hole, and then help pull the higherblood up afterwards. He trotted behind the two, too engrossed in peering into everything and anything he could to really partake in the conversation. But he paused, eyes wide and just a little frightful when they came into the larger room that should have held adults.

He hardly noticed that he was shaking as the yellowblood asked for names. The threat of being culled was high, they were talking so loudly and even if there was a blueblood among them, they were all in a place that they weren't supposed to be. It was just dawning on him, how screwed they would be, shortly, if they messed up.

He took a deep gulping breath, wandered over to a chair and hauled himself up onto it, and peered down in the oily looking sludge in the closest cup. His distorted reflection looked scared witless. He peeped once, twice, the sound subdued. It was an almost lusus call. Just catching himself calling for Taldad was enough to shake him out of the funk. He was a big wiggler now, and he'd gotten into this mess all by himself.

Skae placed his hands on the edge of the table and looked at the higherbloods in the room with him. "I'm Skaeys." He said, voice small and he was proud that he hadn't stuttered once. He resisted the urge to pull his goggles down over his eyes, the clear material wouldn't shield him anymore then the cold cup of bean sludge in front of him would.

”Indeed! We shall be heros!” said Keionx, proudly, to the yellowblood, gesturing encouragingly as they stepped inside. They were an unlikely bunch, but that was what hero's were! Unlikely, and powerful, and with her... or, she supposed, Alexin... at the helm, they would defeat whatever monsters lurked within and free the water for the town.

The abandoned breakroom, however, stopped her enthusiasm – for a brief moment – completely cold.

This was not what the orangeblood had been expecting. In fact, if Keionx was honest with herself, she would admit that this was edging on too creepy for her liking. She looked around her, a chill setting into her spine as she noted the cold food and the sense of hasty abandonment and lonely emptiness that permeated the slightly odoriferous room.

But Keionx was never honest with herself. She roused herself from her briefly stunned moment and turned to Alexin. ”Indeed.” she replied to them, quieter – slightly – than her normal voice though sort of in a stage whisper, ”Worrysome, indeed. What dost thou thinkest of this?”

She smiled at Voscil and Skaeys. ”Keionx. Keionx Rutace.” she offered. She had no fear of being culled. Some sane part of her did, sure, but she never listened to that part of herself. ”Thus we art named, and thus we hath begun our adventure!” she said, raising her voice slightly to combat the dreadful silence of the room. She looked around her, at the discarded darts, the cold bean brew, the cold glutenous foodstuff. ”We must find what happened, and defeat it!” she said, with a theatrical – and wholly genuine – clenching of her fist, ”Let us move on!” she gestured to Alexin, implying to them to lead the way...

Alexin poked around at the cold cups of congealing drinks, and the remains of the food, just incase any clues were hiding around them, but they soon decided that it was a better bet to look around the magazines incase they were hiding any SECRET PAPERS!! Unfortunately as Alexin flicked through the slightly tattered magazines, all they revealed was a half-off coupon for a haircut at Bbobbs 's. BBOBBS. How how..lowerclass! Alexin dropped the magazine in disgust, before turning to his troops as they spoke their names, and getting his vocabulary together and wiping his hands (now slightly grubby from fiddling through well-worn magazines).

"Alexin Flynnt. Charmed to meet you both, Skaeys, Voscil. And a pleasure to meet you again, Keoinx~"

Then, when Voscil spoke again.

"It's bizarre...but Keoinx is right. There's nothing to be gained here, let's move on."

And Alexin strode boldy outside and across the hall to another door and opened it...into a washroom. Their face was a picture, but they held firm.

"Maybe there could be a clue in here...there's usually lots of water in a washroom after all..."

((In the bathroom))

Bathrooms were not heroic places. They were places where one made waste and where one was naked and Keionx found it notable that there was never anything in a story about awesome heroes going to the bathroom.

Well... Except that one old story that Beastdad didn't want her reading... but that was a special case. And the story about someone sticking a sword in someones rearhind, but Keionx hadn't quite gotten that one.

She corrected herself: bathrooms were not normally heroic places. This bathroom was – it was completely dry. She tried a sink – nothing. ”Normally, indeed.” she replied to Alexin's comment, ”Nay, but this one is as dry as the rest...” If it hadn't she would have happily taken some out to the crowd – those poor trolls. She peered into a stall. ”Alexin!” she said, startled, ”Gazest, thou, upon this!” she pointed to the plants in the toilet, excited. ”That is of an unusual sort!”

A clue to the cause of the calamity, and a hint to the road upon which their quest lay. Not that she understood it, of course, but that didn't matter much. She would eventually – heroes always did. She held up a hand, gesturing at the others to stand back as she prodded the plants with her practice sword.
”Plants.” she announced for the benefit of the others, as they proved to be that, ”They groweth in an unnatural place...” Because, honestly, who would grow plants in a toilet bowl?

With each new introduction she noted their names, confirming mentally her initial assessments about each troll. Grinning at the bunch, her gaze darted to the hall ways and distance they had yet to travel. The little redblood whom had peeped earned a an arm tossed around his shoulders before she went to go join the other two already off and moving to their next location. "It'll be okay we're in this together!" She reasoned patting his shoulder before catching up within a blink of an eye to Keoinx and Alexin. "Yeah, I agree with you commander and Keoinx too! Let's keep exploring!" She replied Voscil moved herself along with the group, peering around the blueblood before they entered what looked like a washroom. This place was just getting creepier by the second. Her gaze fell on the visible growing plant that that had make its appearance. It took her a second, blinking at the odd out of place object.

The yellowblood made a face at the plant, it was hardly the most interesting nor glamorous of places. Keoinx had hit the nail on the head, she gave the orangeblood a little nod of agreement. "They don't usually grow in...uh those places. That's just weird okay." She scratched at her head before looking between her three companions. "Spooky even." She whispered, before busily turning on each sink spout, only to discover not a single drop of water could be found in them either. No surprise there of course, everything really was as dry as bleached bones.

Voscil didn't understand either what was happening, only that they'd discovered something truly out of place in that moment. Perhaps with more clues this mystery would unfold its self? "I wonder what else we'll find." She tugged at the warning tape on one of the stalls before glancing back at the others.

Gl!tch~

Nervit hovered nervously near the hole in the wall, Pyredad curled round one horn and chittering angrily at her - but for once, Nervit wasn't listening. Pyredad wanted her to go home and forget this ever happened but people were dying, Pyredad! People like her. Lowbloods. And somewhere deep inside Nervit found herself angry. Not that she knew what to do with the emotion, or could even categorize it properly : she was used to stuffing down her emotions and not listening to them, covering them with the perfect lowblood veneer. But this was different.

Still, all the motivation in the world wouldn't get her into that hole without anyone to help her, so she continued to loiter with intent, waiting for some other kid to turn up and notice the suspicious hole. And hopefully help her out! She was pretty sure if someone gave her a boost she'd be able to pull them up, after all.
