Well, I just got news that we have a new addition to the family. My neice just had a baby... about 20 minutes ago... a little girl, 5lbs 14oz. That makes me a great aunt... and my mom a great grandmother eek I didn't get the privilege of being there to see her after she was born, because of sisterly related issues that aren't quite pleasant. But I am proud of my neice for being so strong throughout this. I guess everyone can kind of sense the tension in this post... my feelings are a little hurt because nobody called me to let me know anything. I had to hear it from my daughter. Oh well, I am kind of excited to know that there is new baby in the family but I doubt I'll get to see it anytime soon. stare

*huggles* and congrats on the newest addition to the family. I don't profess to know anything about the issues that you as a family are having to cause tension, but who knows....this could be the catalyst to make things better from now on. *sends positive thoughts*

Families huh? rolleyes often the cause of the greatest love but also the greatest heartache in your life, but as others have said, the latest generation can often bridge the divides that have been formed, hope you get to see your little great niece soon heart

Thanks for the congrats! I think my mom is wanting to go to the hospital tomorrow and wants me to go. So we'll see how it goes. I don't know if so much tension will be good for such a little baby just yet though. confused

Congrats on becoming a great-aunt. (wow I'm behind) One of my step-siblings just had a kid, so I'm wondering if that makes me an uncle or a step-uncle or what?

ColinMackay Congrats on becoming a great-aunt. (wow I'm behind) One of my step-siblings just had a kid, so I'm wondering if that makes me an uncle or a step-uncle or what? Wow I missed this thread too! How did that happen? So the baby's about 2 weeks old now? Congrats Sunny! And congrats to you too Colin. I'd say Uncle. I guess I tend to drop the steps and twice removed and in-law parts sometimes and call my brother-in-law's wife my sister-in-law and such. I just got news yesterday of a first cousin of mine having her baby. A girl named Alice, 8lbs 6 oz. Also, Jason's first cousin (the sister to the cousin who was killed in motorcycle crash) was due to be induced on Thursday, two days ago, so we need to call and ask news of that as well.

My friend georgehippo from my guild has become a Purkle blaugh i don't know how much he will post, i think all the ladies here is what made him want to join lol He's my whipping boy, both within my guild and over on AOL, so it will be fun to have someone to beat up here too twisted Seriously though he's a good lad and i hope he makes himself comfy on the Couch, you might have to watch out for Jammy Dodger crumbs though ninja

I have to confess...i was so excited when I saw jammie dodgers for sale at a local world market. I convinced Kevin to buy them for me. As soon as we got home I tore open the package...and was so disappointed crying after hearing everyone talk about how great they are I guess I expected so much more. To me they were soft and tasteless. I apologize to anyone who loves them. I guess I'll just stick with my pocky.

They were addictive to me. Once I'd eaten one, I needed more! The jam was stretchy and the cookies soft. Great textures.
