Story:
As Flight 003 crossed the Atlantic Ocean, flying from New York, a sudden engine failure caused it to plummet towards the sea. Only fifteen passengers made it out of the plane, using flotation devices, and by the time they reached an uninhabited island, thirteen remained.
Fortunately, this isn't some worst case scenario: fruit is abundant, growing on trees all over the island, and a few pools fresh water is available, including one larger watering hole, suitable for swimming and bathing.
There was only one problem. Debris began to float towards the island, and lo and behold, luggage appeared on the shore. A few of the passengers had brought jerky with them, and after three of them shared it, they suddenly developed a want for more meat.
The next day the remains of an unfortunate passenger were found. As there were no animals on the island, the survivors decided that at least one of them was a crazy psychotic murderer. In fact, three of them were. They decided that every night they'll vote for one of their own to leave the island, hoping that it'll be one of the murderers.
And every night the remaining cannibals will pick off another from the group.
Who will survive - the innocent humans awaiting rescue or the cannibals gone crazy?

Vittay had been awake under a tree for a couple of hours now. She was just anxiously thinking, wondering, pondering of her fate over the next couple of days. Cannibals on the island. Cannibals among her. The thought was far too scary to sleep on. Instead, she gazed out in the cloudy dusk sky and stared out at the seamless ocean. Her thoughts were mere whisps of intangible glitter that were whipped away with the evening wind. As they went, more confusing ones came to fill their space.
Vittay held her scarf against the side of her face - it was a comfort thing. She looked around at the other survivors dotting the surface of the sandy island beach. No one looked too suspicious at this point but Vittay couldn't trust anyone.
Sighing, she opened up the box of chocolates that lay at her side and popped one in her mouth. When she had finished its caramel sweetness, she was about to reach for another one when it occured to her that she was being rude.
"Anyone want a chocolate?" she called. Perhaps a little food-sharing would be a good way of getting to knowing her fellow islanders.

A short, young girl looked up from her secluded spot under the shade of a rather large rock she had found. Her hat was titled slightly, one of the empty looking black eyes were missing, and her dress looked a bit dirty. Sand had scratched her precious shoes, the shine long gone from them now. She didn't care though. She was too scared.
As she gazed at the woman, offering candy, she gulped a lump in her throat. She stood, dusting her dress and the back of her legs off, and slowly stepped over to her. She settled herself down about a foot and a half away from Vittay, clutching her knees to her chest now with her arms wrapped loosely around her legs.
"Are you scared too?"

((I'm finding it really hard to distract myself from my music to post. xD My friend lent me Panic! At the disco's album, it's actually pretty good. >.>)) Lydia had been staring at the sand distractedly, she was miles away, literally, thinking about how she was in danger of being eaten, she pulled her knees into her chest and wrapped her arms around herself. Roused by the word choclate, she looked up and grinned at Vittay. "Yes please." Lydia said cheerily while eyeing the fruit on the surrounding trees suspiciously.

"Are you scared too?"
"Scared? I'm petrifyed!" Vittay gulped as she realised that in her mind, being eaten was one of the worst ways to die.
When she first woke up from the plane crash, Vittay felt like the luckiest person in the world. But now, the situation was different and dreadful thoughts crashed around her like the ocean waves were splashing harsh notes onto the cliff face.
"Chocolate?" Vittay offered the box to the girl in foetal position. "Don't worry. They're not drugged. See?" Vittay popped one into her mouth and as the chocolate melted around her mouth, she felt slightly more empowered.

Lydia snorted at Vittay's comment and in a small voice whispered, "I'm scared too."

Vittay placed the box onto the sand in front of her. The sand was warm to her touch and on this section of land, it was dry. She took another small chocolate drop and shoved it in her mouth. For Vittay, chocolate did calm her and made her feel happier.
She leaned back against the tree behind her and a few berries fell down from above. They were hard enough to be irritating though yet, when Vittay picked one berry up, its juicy insides exploded on her fingers. Quickly, she wiped away the royal red juice onto the sand. Vittay wondered which fruits were edible; she didn't like the idea of being poisoned. Vittay sighed again. The notion of death just seemed to haunt her.

Kei pressed her middle finger to the bridge of her glasses, pushing them up on her nose as she looked at Vittay again. Meeting such a nice person in such conditions.. a pity, really.
She nodded softly and took one. She looked at it then, with reluctance, pressed it between her teeth. It tasted wonderful. A great relief for her right now. She didn't know such a small thing could make such a difference to her. She smiled softly, leaning back a bit, putting her weight on her hands and finally stretching her legs out. She still had a pair of stripped stockings on and some leg warmers which she had pushed down to her ankles.
She let her head hang to the side as she closed her eyes and breathed deeply, letting it out slowly. She was relaxed now, even in this situation.
