xxxxGundahar has the appearance of someone who has not quite grown up yet, with a feminine edge to his features. His legs and arms are long and lanky, that of a younger boy; despite his abnormally tall height at five foot eleven, he is pretty girlish. Though, don't say that to his face. His dark brown eyes are mesmerizing if one gets too close, and if he were a little older he'd probably be a real dream boat. Shaggy brown hair falls just passed his thin eyebrows, gently brushing against his curved cheeks. His nose is slightly crooked from an accident when he was younger.

xxxxGundahar likes to dress for success at all times; and now that he is capable of being a candidate, he refuses to take the uniform off. His breeches are worn, but suitable to his little bad-boy facade, and his loose shirt exposes his collar bone just slightly. Freckles dapple along his neck and shoulders, but appear to stay in that one area; not merging along the rest of his pale skin. All and all he is a lanky child who when older could prove quite good looking.

xxxxGundahar's personality is as raw as he is. He's reaching the apex in his life where he has to make a decision on exactly what it is he wants to do with his life. He wants to be a good dragon rider and he feels the flow of that blood through his veins. At the same time however, he wants to be a good healer as well and share his compassion and dedication to those who need him the most. His whole life he thought he had it figured out but now he's beginning to experience that feeling that comes with his youth, to take wing against thread or to heal those who need him. Such difficult decisions to make.
x
xxxxHe is a very soft-spoken child and doesn't speak out unless directly spoken to. He has a tendency to avoid confrontation, preferring to accept people as they are rather than how they behave. When faced with another candidate or peer who is more outspoken and shares opposite attributes from himself he tends to try to understand them more and allow his anger to settle down. He does not get angry very easily, unless faced with someone who is cruel to others. Gundahar does not approve of needless cruelty in the hearts of others around him, he believes everything should be at peace, there are more important things to fight than each other.
x
xxxxGundahar would make a good leader on the inside, if he opened up his mouth more and stopped over thinking things. He is a very honest soul, not liking to hide things and lie to others; especially those he loves. He is a wonderful ear to talk to, silently listening and not voicing much in that regard. However, this gives him a chance to listen to both sides of a situation and make comments based on those two sides. It creates a good delegate in the way of verbal demands. If he wasn't so soft-spoken, people would learn that his communication skills are quite adept. He has a wonderful sense of humor, though little pranks and the like are above him. He doesn't enjoy the uselessness of little things like pranks, even if they're in good humor. He is more interested in jokes and songs that have a sense of comedy to them. The only thing he lacks is confidence to show what he believes in. He would rather let others speak out than for him to speak out for fear he'll look like a fool. But commitment is one thing that he cannot help but feel through all things he does. He has a strong sense of the word and what it implies.

xxxxGundahar is a by the book kind of guy, everything must follow the set rules and guidelines of the weyr and life itself. You'll never find him skipping a chore or causing trouble for anyone. This can cause some to dislike him, to think of him as too uptight, and he takes those comments by turning the other cheek, not letting them get to him and make him angry; this only furthers the accusations of course. But he cannot help but be a by the book guy, after all, when you're uptight and follow the rules, good things come your way.

xxxxxxxxxx• Patience. Although young, Gundahar has shown a natural patience that his mother has instilled within him. He knows his time will come and this lends a hand to his acceptance of things.
xxxxxxxxxx• Compassion. This young boy is compassionate about all sentient forms of life, especially dragons and their riders. He craves to be like them, though knows he needs to wait. He enjoys caring for these beautiful creatures and this has led his grandmother to show him her healer craft.
xxxxxxxxxx• Respectful. The boy knows his place, he will not speak out against someone who is superior to himself, nor to those inferior to him. He understands the necessity for silence and knows when it is time to speak. Being raised by his grandparents he has been taught that children are meant to be seen but not always heard, and he holds that to heart.

xxxxxxxxxx• Naive. He has some naive qualities to him, expecting the world to be a wonderful place when in reality is not. He appreciates life around him, but this does not always mean that he understands everything. There is still much to learn for this young boy.
xxxxxxxxxx• Soft-Spoken. Due to his upbringing, he has a tendency to bite his tongue, even when it is the perfect time to speak. He has his opinions like everyone else, but he doesn't know how to speak about them in the right way. But do not twist this, it is not out of meekness, just his over abundance of respect.
xxxxxxxxxx• Gangly. His body type, being as gangly as it is now, is a bit hard. It does not allow him to do some of the things he wishes he could do, like climbing some of the trees around the holds. But he still refuses to give in.

xxxxBefore the death of his father, Gundahar lived in Eron Hold with his father, his mother would visit in the evenings but return to Trine after this in order to be close at hand. After his death, the youngster moved to Trine and Ash'r requested her parents, both of whom were retired riders, to help care for Gundahar so she would not be worrying over him. During an episode of longing five turns ago, Gundahar's grandfather flew out on his dragon and wound up getting stuck in the thread that had fallen. Upon losing his dragon, his grandfather went temporarily unstable and lost control of himself, only thanks to Gundahar's grandmother's healing training, was his grandfather saved.
x
xxxxAfter her father's near fatal loss of control, Ash'r threw her son into every aspect of weyr life, trying to get him to spend less time with his grandparents then he had been. Although, due to her busy schedule she had a hard time keeping track of him when he wasn't at home, and this caused some unsettled feelings within their house. Deciding to re-create the peace, Gundahar's mother allowed Gundahar to spend more time with his grandmother, who became a role model to the young boy. Although weyr kids who wish to stand do not start an apprenticeship, his grandmother wanted to teach him her craft either way; and thus began to show him little tricks. He loved healing! But, the rider blood that flowed through his veins caused him to crave dragon riding that much more.
x
xxxxUpon turning twelve, the boy was overcome with happiness, he wanted more then anything to stand and attend a hatching. So when he requested to his mother to stand, she was overjoyed and agreed; ensuring he'd be able to stand when he desired. Now the only thing left for him to do was attend the classes. Growing up around dragons he found the classes to be repetitive, history lessons and the like began to bore him after spending countless time with his grandparents. But, like a good boy, he didn't skip out on his lessons or chores, taking them by stride. But there's always that part of him that would rather be up high.
x
xxxxWhen the revolution happened it brought many refugees to the Trine Weyr. Although it did not effect him quite the same as it effected others, Gundahar felt the agony of the refugees, he made it a point to try to talk to some, try to see what they were feeling, his empathetic nature succumbing him to want to listen to their story.
