Trinity loved stores that catered to 'preteens' simply because it was easy to find bright colours and glam accessories and makeup that fit her clothing. Trinity hummed as she looked over her options, humming. There were so many pretty options, and today there was even some glittery ones. Trinity couldn't resist picking one kit up as the sparkle caught her eye either, peering at the colours and analyzing them carefully. Maybe one or two was even pink or blue or purple or - anything but just black! She didn't want to go into a Hot Topic or similar today. Colors they had, but glitter..... Well, glitter was more common here.

Bailey. Loved. Claire's. She wasn't big on the boy band stuff they carried (even if she liked one or two...), but everything else? Kitty ears! Glitter! They even had tiaras. She'd been saving her allowance and doing all her chores for the last few weeks and had a whole eighty dollars to spend at the mall. And she already knew a good chunk of that would end up being spent in Claire's. Always did.
She took a deep breath, striding in and, for the moment, letting the terrifying memories of something that hadn't happened slide to the back of her mind. She...still needed to talk with Massalia and...
Bailey shook herself, then spotted to new additions to the glittery nail polish. With a happy squeak, she scooted over and started looking them over. Maybe she could find tutorials on Youtube later for new nail art designs she could do with the colors!

Trinity hadn't been expecting to hear a squeal in Claire's away from the boy band gear, and the woman turned towards the sound in concern until she saw what she thought was the cutest little girl ever. And proceeded to make small delighted squealing noises before moving over, forgetting a likely large age gap as she bent over, beaming. "OMYGODILOVEYOURHAIRSWEETIE!" Trinity practically squeaked. CUTEST LITTLE GIRL EVER. EV-ER.

She knew that there were grown-ups who loved Claire's a lot, but she hadn't expected to see one that squealed like someone her age, and was dressed in a way that...
Well, the only thing Bailey could think was that she was looking at a living, human My Little Pony.
Her blue eyes went wide and she carefully waved. "Hi. Uhm...thank you? I really like how well the lady at the salon does it." Ysabel was the best stylist ever, and nothing would ever convince Bailey otherwise. "Uhm...I'm Bailey. What're you here for, miss?" Seriously, the lady reminded her of like...some combination of Pinkie Pie and Rarity.

"Make-up!" Trinity beamed proudly. "This is the only store in the mall to sell glittery make-up in the colours I like!" Trinity admitted. She didn't feel ashamed though - she liked glitter, it was fun. "How about you? I'm Trinity, by the way." CUTE CHILD WAS CUTE.

She liked glitter? A grown-up liked glitter? Bailey perked immensely and gave that bright smile she tended to have. "Glitter is the best! Only reason I don't have more glittery clothes is because the washer isn't nice to them." And for the forseeable future...it was best to have easy-wash clothes. At least until she got to high school. Because you never knew!
"I'm Bailey! It's nice to meet you Trinity!" She paused a moment, before her smile turned a little sheepish. "Uhm...you kinda remind me of Pinkie Pie."

"Hand washing is a lot better." Trinity admitted. "Unless the shirt is okay with machine-wash." The older fan of craft herpes beamed brightly. "Pinkie Pie huh? Pinkie Pie is fun, though." Trinity winked, grinning. "Oh, you know who's good too? Rarity! OH!" And Trinity eyed the sprays. "GLITTERY HAIR COLOUR SPRAY! Have you ever tried this?" She smiled to Bailey gently.

Yay! Someone who understood! Bailey nodded vigorously. "Exactly! Mommy taught me how to do my own laundry, so I get to make sure all my clothes are the best they can be!" Especially her favorites. And...
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! She knew what she was talking about! "Your hair reminds me of Rarity, actually!" She blinked at the hairspray, shaking her head. "Uh-uh. Maybe I could get some of that and see if Mommy will help me with it on the weekend...Or Daddy!" Because she had the best Daddy who had no problems helping her with glittery things. She would ask Reed, but Reed was better for crafts and football and putting ribbons in his hair because he had no sense of 'pretty' when it came to clothes and makeup.

"Your Dad helps?!" Trinity brightened. "Oh, wow, you're totally lucky! My Dad's a stuffy old businessman." The young woman nodded, then frowned. "Mom encourages me though. It does?" Trinity beamed. "Rarity's my favorite pony from Friendship is Magic! Have you ever seen the older cartoons? Very Fab. OH! You might like Jem, if you can find it!"

Bailey frowned, then wrinkled her nose. "That sucks! But...I guess someone has to be a businessman, right?" She picked up a can of spray to look over, mentally debating the color she wanted to get. "Does he at least let you be yourself, though?" She hoped so. Even grown-ups had their parents look at them funny. She'd seen it before.
"I haven't! I want to, though! I was thinking of seeing if some of the cartoons are on Youtube." Because she'd seen some of the old toys and they were adorable! So the cartoons had to be, too, right? "Jem? What's that about?" She liked the title, though! That part definitely was A+.

"It is!" Trinity clapped. "Oh, Jem is... Well, they mention glitter in the theme, but it's about a magical 80's singher and her band saving the world and making music! OH!" Trinity was excited now. "She-Ra too! And He-Man!.... He-Man is boy-version! You have to see the movie about both of them it's on Youtube too! And the Gummi Bears!" There was no stopping her now. Trinity was on.

Bailey's eyes got wider as Trinity talked on, until they couldn't get wider. There were...THERE WERE OLD CARTOONS SHE MIGHT ACTUALLY LIKE?! Stuff that actually had fantasy and magic and glitter and other awesome stuff?! The noises that came from her now and again could be classed only as excited squeaks.
And she bounced a bit. "I gotta look this stuff up!"

Bailey's excitement only made Trinity more excited, the overgrown ten year old bouncing in place. "Sometimes F.Y.E. has DVDs in the kid section!" She admitted. "And discount stores for She-Ra... OH!" And suddenly she picked up some clearanced face makeup. "PINK. Like Jem! -- Oh you know what else is good?" Trinity grinned. "Barbie and the Rockers. Despite common thought. You might like Rainbow Brite too@"

Bailey made mental notes of everything Trinity mentioned, nodding happily. So many places to check for shiny new-old things! She blinked at the pink makeup, then nodded. "I like pink. Pink and purple and turquoise are my favorite colors." She picked up a similar thing of what her conversation partner had grabbed, looking it over. "Hm? Barbie? I don't do a lot of Barbie stuff, but I can still look it up! Oh! And I've heard of Rainbow Brite! Mommy used to like her!"
