There was only one thing certain every day - that the sun would rise. It might not have risen at the same time or at the same intensity every day but it did, indeed, continue with the same pattern. Which meant that somewhere between six and seven am it started to stream through her double pane window. Inch by inch it lit up the room until it was too bright to ignore. Pulling the blankets up, the redhead tried to ignore the fact that it was a brand new day. However the primadonna that was her Flareon, Ember, had other things in mind. He jumped right on the bed without remorse...landing right on her stomach. Groaning at the twenty-odd pound pokemon's rude wake up call, Evangeline's hands went straight to her stomache. Well there was definately no way she could go back to sleep now. Especially considering that he's managed to press one of his accurate little paws into her bladder as he jumped back off.

"...one day, I'm going to shave you and make a nice wrap," Evangeline threatened without actually meaning it.

As she got up the rest of her pokemon made themselves busy. Or decided to continue sleeping in those lucky bastards. She walked out of her bedroom into the great room. It wasn't too big - big enough to accomidate two people's living needs. The kitchen was tucked in one of the corners with the living room in the opposite. In the middle was a fireplace that warmed the entire house - a black grate in the middle of the fireplace for privacy as both connected bedrooms had a slit to allow the heat to seep through on the cold nights.

When her eyes finally cleared up she noticed a few things. One - that the lamps were on. And two - Stiles was already up. Or had he even gone to sleep yet?

"Did you sleep?" It was a really valid question considering how much work he lost himself in all the time.

Time always seemed to ecape the boy. He wasn't sure how some people could actually sleep while living in a world full of mysteries to uncover, well - that and high school. Stiles flinched up, tightening his eyes at the change in focus, trying to make features appear on the girl's face appear as his eyes slowly ajusted. Shaking his head slowly, the boy turned to the wall, trying to find some sort of clock - what was time anyway? He noticed the windows had started to line with silver meaning it was bright outside again. "Is it morning already?!" he asked, almost in a panic.

It actually grown to be somewhat of a habit for the young male to get little to no sleep. Be spending the night, listening to the active mind of his obviously nocternal Lugia, or pulling an all nighter on work from his internship, and homework, he always managed to find himself in this position. Though, it wasn't Always Evangeline to find him, and he wasn't always as awake as he was in this moment.

"Morning enough to make Ember want his food," Evangeline informed him as she walked around the dinning room table.

She pulled a few different glass jars filled with poke-food from the cabnets and filled the first bowl for Ember before repeating the process for the other five eevolutions. When she'd finished that she'd turned back around to give Stiles a pointed stare. Of course he could have possibly not have seen it as...well...it was him.

"Nap. Now. I'll get you up in thirty minutes," She'd have wanted him to sleep longer but she didn't know if he had the time. Waking up with the sun didn't always follow the clock.

Stiles flinched looking around, almost in a daze as it was. His paper wasn't even half way finished to Stiles standards. He turned over his wrist to catch a peek at the time, and let his eyes widen. "I have to finish this!" he told her, pressing his pencil back to the paper. Looks like Lucky was getting breakfast late - he'd be angry, but he would understand. Stiles didn't need breakfast - that could give him a whole seven minutes longer to write his essay. He could always freshen up at school. That's another ten!

"Rorsh," Eva called out without batting an eyelash.

Rorsh yawned and stretched as he walked out of the open bedroom door. His jewel glowed as he used telekinesis to lift the pen right out of Stiles hand. It wasn't the first time they literally had to pry the work away from him and Evangeline doubted it would ever be the last.

"Do we need Rorsh to use yawn again, Stiles? Or are you going to stretch out for a nap by yourself?" Okay, so she might have been acting like his mother but right now he needed it. And she needed some iced juice.

Stiles wasn't prepared to take her commands this morning. No, not with this much work to do. "Give me five more minutes!" he said, digging into his pocket for another pencil, and continuing at least the last couple thoughts. She had to realize there were things more important than sleep - he could sleep when the weekend came - or something. "No Yawn, it took me three hours to wake up last time!" Stiles complained. "Five minutes." Stiles continued to fight.

"Oh Roooorsh..." Evangeline said as she turned to the fridge, giving Stiles the warning so he'd know to lay down if he wanted to avoid a three hour nap.

"OKAY! okay!" Stiles said, pushing himself out of his seat, and pulling his backpack up on the seat he was seated on, and pulled his folder out of it, sliding the paper inside. "You're lucky this isn't due for another couple days." Stiles groaned, rubbing his eyes as he made his way around the room, kicking his shoes off by his backpack to make it easy for him to make a run for it out the door. The boy took a long second waiting around giving a painful look to Rorsh , who even tired seemed to be enjoying this. "One of these days you're gonna forget Yawn." he said, yawning himself from simply saying the word.

Rorsh shook his head and gave his version of a smile before slowly walking over to his food bowl and starting on the soft morning breakfast. "Espe, Espeeeeon." ("No, it's too useful.")

"Ten minutes - wake me up in ten minutes!" Stiles requested turning back to Evangeline.

"Hmmm, thirty. I heard thirty minutes. Have a good nap, Stiles," Eva said with a smile.

Stiles shook his head. He'd set an alarm. The boy made it back into his room, and closed his blinds, hoping to lock some of the sunshine out of his room, and laid back on his bed for what couldn't have been five minutes. of course, it was thirty minutes he just didn't realize how tired he was.

Thirty minutes later the smell of bacon and buttered toast had pretty much covered the entire house. It was hard not to with such smells. As the bacon lay on a plate, Evangeline poured the semi-hot bacon grease into a mason jar to use for later. If nothing else it always helped to make the best pancakes.

"Time!" Eva called out before looking over to see who would want to do the honors of waking up their housemate today. "How about some light to the eyes, Nox? Better than Ember's way of waking people up."

Ember, of course, was not ashamed of his morning pounce. In either case Nox, her Umbreon, walked into Stiles room. In the dark as the curtains had been pulled, his rings started to glow. He got up glow to Stiles and flicked his nose with his tail repeatedly until the teenager woke up.

It took a long time for Stiles to realize that a wake up call was in order, his eyes blared a light red and his noise started to alert him, and then his eyes followed, squinting into the light that the Umbreon created. "Nox!" Stiled groaned, sitting up on his bed, and then turning over to the clock sitting on his book shelf. "Oh no." He said as he sprung from his bed, and ran into the kitchen. "I have to feed Lucky!" The boy paused at the beautiful smell that was consuming the kitchen. An agonized look on his face caused him to shake his head out, reaching deep into his backpack for his pokeball.

Evangeline could practically feel his stomach growl as though it were her own. She pulled a piece of the warmed up bread off of the cast iron skillet and placed a few strips of bacon on it. Folding it over on itself, She held it out off handedly towards Stiles. She'd made sure to make something that he could eat on the run for the very reason that she knew if she hadn't, he wouldn't be eating till dinner time. If he even remembered to do that.

Stiles made it over to his shoes again, pulling them on one at a time, before looking up to see the breakfast extended his way. The boy reached out and grabbed it with a reassuring smile, mostly for himself, then swung his backpack over his shoulders, and running out the door, running in a full sprint off to a hidden cove where he released Lucky from his pokeball.

Immedtely, the Lugia took Stiles in his wing lik arms, and embraced him, bringing him close to his body. Guess he wasn't mad at the late feeding. "Good morning, Lucky." Stiles greeted, muffled by the large creature's strong hold. The lugia let him go, only for a second before sliding his neck under his legs and flipping the boy up onto his back, and then walking into the water, and floating ontop of it, as he watched water beneath him for food. Stiles felt a little uneasy on his back, holding onto him tightly. "No surprises today, I don't have time to change this time." the boy said, holding on for dear life.

Lucky turned his neck back to look at Stiles, nudging him with his head, and then pressing his head against that of his master. "Do you trust me?" the Lugia asked, speaking with out spoken word. Stiles sighed, and nodded. The demeanor of the Pokemon changed, and he opend his mouth to release a thraoty sound. "Well, you shouldn't." The pokemon continued, causng Stiles' eyes to grow. "Lucky. . . Don't play with me! I have my packpack on!" The Lugia must have smiled, but the look on his face was almost unreadable. Instead of bringing the boy back to shore, like Stiles had hoped, the Lugia pulling Stiles up by his backpack until the straps gave him away, back on his back, and then the Lugia used what he had to fling the backpack on shore. "Bring me back to shore! Lucky, don't!" This wasn't the first time something like this had happened - but Lucky normally didn't play with him to the extent of disobediance. The Lugia turned to face Stiles and then visibly rolled his eye, as he started to paddle back to shore. Once the Lugia could reach the sandy bottom, he lifted himself up on his leg, sending Stiles back into the water with a flail. "AGH!" Stiles hollered as he fell back into the water, looking up at the Lugia. "Lucky!" Stiles groaned, watching the Lugia lean down to him and nudge his head into his chest, spreading his armlike wings, and running his tongue on stiles' face. Stiles chuckled with the sensation and then pushed his head away from him. "OKay, okay. Just eat, I need to go home and change now." the boy said, unable to get upset with the Lugia.

Once Lucky had finished eating, and Stiles returned him back into the pokeball, the boy grabbed the handle of his backpack and started back to the house, there was no hope in being on time now - well, for his extra class. he wasn't being grades on showing up or not, but if he didn't go he was missing out on the probably the most important part of the lesson. Once Stiles made it back to the house, he opened the door, and made it back into the kitchen where Evangeline was earlier, and he dropped his backpack, and kicked off his shoes once again.

"Flare," Ember spoke up from his spot on the elevated fire place's mantle. ("You're late.")

He turned to stare at Stiles with his big black eyes before turning his face towards the singular clock in the cottage. Then it was back to Stiles before tilting his head. He knew that the boy was running late. Normally he was already out of there by now. He just wanted to make sure that Stiles knew that he knew he was running late.

Stiles grumbled under his breath. "I'm late, I know." He was also soaking wet - did someone else want to tell him something wrong with him? Stiles started back toward his room, where he closed his door, and started to peel wet clothes off of himself.

Without preamble, Ember jumped off of the fireplace's ledge and padded over to Stiles' door. He paused for a moment to consider if it was worth helping the human before deciding that he could. After all, it would only increase the appreciation for his talents. He stood on his hind legs and pushed his paw down against the french styled door handle. With the weight of his body the door opened.

He moved into the room and without warning executed a mild Heat Wave attack on Stiles' half dressed form. He closed his mouth and tilted his head as he looked up to see Stiles hair. A bark spilled from his mouth as he laughed. Human fur certainly dried strangely sometimes.

At the sound of his door, Stiles paused from undressing, watching Evangeline's Flareon make his way into his room, and hitting him with what was basically a fast working dryer. Stiles flinched back closing his eyes, and then running his hands over his now dryed clothing. Only to be distracted by the barking laughter of the Pokemon. Stiles turned his head curiously, following his gaze to his hair. Stiles ran his fingers through the hair, letting it land where it wanted. It was normallly pretty untamed as it was. Stiles smiled at the Flareon, walking over to rub his back. "Thanks, Ember." He said walking to his closet and pulling lose another of his uniform shirts, snd pulling it over his head, and then tucking it into his pants. interesting to think that could suffice as a shower to some people, though Stiles almost couldn't handle the smell he carried.

Ember paused as he decided that the human probably wouldn't have time to brush him, although the grateful rub would do. He'd just have to find where his human put his brush before he went to bed and make the other human brush him. That way he'd have gotten something from this exchange of niceities too.

After Stiles was ready again, he made his way out the door, and then started on his trek to school - in a little bit of a faster manor than normal.

Evangeline met him about half way. Behind her wasn't her usual assortment of eevolutions. Instead there was a Rapidash, a light saddling set up on him, following behind her. Judging by the slight pink coloration around it's mouth, it was obvious that Eva had bribed the evolved pokemon with it's favorite treat - a pinkberry.

"Blaze is up to running you to school. He could use the run anyways. So I hope that your riding has gotten better."

Stiles paused in his trek and nodded, looking back at the Rapidash. "It hasn't." he admitted, running his hand along the muzzle of the Rapidash, and running a hand through it's firey mayne with caution. The boy turned to Evangeline with a gentle smile. "Thanks - for everything." he said, gaining leverage and throwing himself up on the back of the Rapidash.

Evangeline nodded and rubbed out some of the pink discoloration on Blaze's muzzle before backing away once more. The look in her eye might have been mischevious, or it might have just been the way that the large horse pokemon's shadow accented her features. Either way it meant that Blaze was ready to go and she was very ready to see if Stiles would fall on his a** within the first thirty yards.

"And three...two...." She paused, moving back with every word to give them enough room while Blaze's fire sparked up all around them. "Go!"

Like strong winds in a storm, the almost immediate acceleration of the Rapidash caused Stiles to wrap his arms around it's neck as if his life depended on it. HIs legs tightened around the frame of the horse pokemon, and his eyes clenched together to avoid wind. Stiles reminded himself to tighten his grip every moment or two, and he managed to keep himself up on the back of the Rapidash the entire way to his school.

The day felt a little muggy, overcast and slightly warm. The sun was hidden behind clouds. That didn't stop the many different pokemon from playing though. Nor from them being active all around. The waters rippled as they splashed around, grass seemed to roll as some walked or ran, and trees rustles with those who had gotten into their branches. All of this, she was used to...what she wasn't used to seeing was a dirty young boy wondering through one of the areas. He looked ill prepared and completely lost. Why else would he have missed the front driveway and gate? Honestly she wasn't even sure if people were supposed to be back here...not when there were pokemon who got startled rather easily.

"Get lost?" Eva called out as she stood up from her crouched position, a small bag of pokemon food in her hand and a Skitty by her feet.

Miles wasn't really sure what he was running from. His parents had to be worried sick about where he was by now, but they hadn't come looking. No, it'd been almost two complete weeks and they hadn't sent anyone after him. It was getting too dangeros to stay home now. With his father all on his a** about becoming the next big thing on terms of training pokemon, to become just like his eldest brother and aspire to be the Next Pokemon League Champion. None of it sounded appealing. Miles didn't see himself in those shoes. Allowing a pokemon harm, how - how did anyone do that with a smile on their face? He couldn't let that happen to his friend. No, not now, not ever.

He did understand that Pokemon became more than just allies, but they also were master pleasers. A pokemon who is bonded to a human will do anything it's asked of it, to the extent of putting itself into harm. They willingly battle, no, they enjoy it. Weither it was something a Pokemon wanted to do or not, it didn't come as a passion to the nine year old boy, lost in all areas. The voice came to him and he answered with a startled reaction, as he flinched his head toward the noise. "N-no." he stated, almost as an escape route. The boy wouldn't admit to be lost, but he also had no idea where he was running to. A place where he and Lucky could learn everything there is to know about Pokemon, and the world around them.

The pokemon food in the girls hand was enough to make Miles remember how he hadn't eaten anything in almost two weeks. His stomach gargled in the pain it was left in. Perhaps pokemon food wasn't that bad? But he wouldn't just ask for it. No, and he definitely wouldn't steal it. He gripped his stomach with his small hand, before looking around for a new direction to wander in.

"Oh, you're definately lost," the redhead said as she rolled the pokemon food bad in one and. "This is private property - the Linare farm. So if you're not lost then you're tresspassing...but what kid would wanna do that?"

Especially one who was clenching their stomach and looked like they hadn't bathed in days. He'd accumulated quite a bit of pretty much everything. Twigs, leaves, mud, dirt...he was covered in road. A lot of young trainers got that way at the start, when they were learning how to get from town to town on their own. But he was way off course if he'd been headed for a town. Besides even to her, he seemed a bit young. Maybe it was just how small he was that gave him the appearance of being younger than beginning trainers should have been.

"Where were you trying to get to?" Evangeline tossed out another question.

Private Property. Oh. For a moment there it sounded like he was being thrown off, but, he didn't quite feel threatened by the girl talking to him. Weither it be the fact that she was seemingly trying to help him, or that she was the one carrying food that was not meant for any human consumption (even though Miles desired it at the moment). The boy took a step backward, hoping to show her it was not his intent to tresspass. "I-i'm sorry. I-i didn't mean - I didn't know." he studdered. pulling the small backpack he had closer to his back.

He had no idea where he was going, and that had come of a problem to MIles. His stomach eat away at him, and he didn't know how much longer he'd be able to stand the pain. Living a fugitive life with Lucky wasn't going to be an easy task. "I-i don't know." he told her honestly. "I didn't mean to tresspass. I-I'll uhm, just go." he told her, feeling a more than audible grumble leave his stomach, as a wince rose to his lips. Maybe he'd run into an old couple who always wanted a kid that didn't want to be a trainer. He was willing to do chores, work, anything he needed to do to survive. Not that his life mattered too much, but for the sake of Lucky.

"If you don't know where you're going, why try to go there?" She asked as she started closer. "How do you know you won't end up intruding in a Mightyena's territory? Or in an Ursaring's breeding ground?"

the Boy's eyes must have bugged out of his head by now. He knew of the consiquences of running away, how it'd be a dangerous world full of wild pokemon that didn't want to be startled or bothered. He had no way to fight back if he were to end up in some sort of battle. Fourtunately for him, he had a natrual connection to Pokemon. Wild pokemon that he managed to stumbled upon seemed to enjoy his brief company. But he knew that wouldn't be the case for all pokemon. He didn't know what he would do if he was face to face with a Mightyena, those thigns sometimes stood taller than him. A lot of pokemon beat him in size, for now anyway. He was going to get his growth spert eventually. HIs eldest Brother Ransom was still pretty short considering his age. That didn't mean Miles would take the trait. He didn't know how to answer the girls question, so he simply shrugged and spoke the first thing that came to him. "I-I hope I don't." he said almost under his breath.

His stomach howled again, and it caused his face to rush with blood. "I-i'm sorry." he said, taking slow steps back in the direction he came in, at least backtracking wouldn't take him to any Mightyena's Territory if he hadn't already seen it. He wondered just how much of the area they owned. He was tired of walking, and he wanted to sit down by a tree or something, or maybe sleep. He just didn't know how he could do that. His brothers and Sisters always managed to do this with out facing this much struggle. He'd have to try and run into one of them - wait no - then they'd ask him for a battle, and - then he'd have to tell them he didn't have any pokemon, and then they'd tell him he's failing. And then they'd bring him back to their house - no - it'd be best to go on in this world with out an attatchment to them. He couldn't face his parents again. Especially if his siblings would have also seen him as a faliure.

"For what? Being hungry?" She looked at him with a bit of a laugh. Motioning with her head towards the east, she continued on. "Come on, it's almost lunch time. Mom and dad won't mind."

Even if they did mind having company turn up unexpected, he was a little kid. Beginning trainer at most. She was pretty sure that there was some law about helping out the ten year olds as they went around the region. If not a legal one then at least a moral one. Besides, if he was there to steal pokemon or anything like that then it'd be better to find out now rather than later. He wouldn't exactly be able to hide it from the psychic pokemon around the house - especially not her mom's abra. That thing was a tattle tell.

Speaking of psychic pokemon...she had to wonder where Rorsh got off to. Or Nox for the matter. The later was probably in one of the caves chasing his tail. She'd have thought that being an Umbreon for a week already would have worn off the newness of the glow. Apparently not. Then again he had evolved extremely young all things considering.

Miles stopped in his treads and glanced up with a hopeful gleam in his eye. Did he just get invited in for Lunch?! Like hell he was turning that down. The boy near sprinted to catch up with her as she made her way toward the house. He didn't want to be a bother in any way shape or form, and if her parents shooed him out, he'd leave. "Thank you. Th-thank you so much." he said, pulling his backpack up his back as he followed close behind the much taller girl. He wouldn't be able to thank her enough. A meal! Wow! No one had been even nice enough to let him leave a battle. He would tell them that he had no one to battle them with, and their pokemon would be ready to stike the boy down, but his little legs carried him faster than anyone could imagine. So the world did have nice people in it. He was almost certain he'd need to invest in a life time supply of escape ropes.

It was about a mile's walk back to the house but it wasn't hard terrain to move over. Mostly grass with scattered trees. Though there was that one small patch that flooded every other day which meant that he'd have gotten a little more mucked up by the time they got back. When they did, Evangeline pulled off the knee high working boots and sat them by the front door. Which, as soon as she opened, let out a mouth watering scent.

"You're not allergic to anything are you? Mom made curry."

By the time Miles had reached the house, his tennis shoes were soaking wet, and coated with a new layer of dirt. He hesitated walking into the house, unsure if he was really welcomed inside. The walk there was all of silence. He didn't have anything to say, and he wasn't a major conversationalist as it was. The boy wasn't sure she even really wanted to talk to him, or just stuff him up with food and use him as pokemon food. He still wasn't sure where the catch lied. There had to be some sort of catch, right? "N-no. I'll eat just about anything." he told her, still completely content with Pokemon food if they didn't want to offer him any of the dream like scented Curry.

"Good. Knowing Rorsh....he added more onions when mom's back was turned," Evangline said with a smile.

Oh she knew that Rorsh was right around the corner taking a small nap. Just like she knew that he'd wake up the moment that lunch was served. Sure he was supposed to eat his own specially blended food (she worked hard on that recipe damn it) but did he listen? Nope. Anything he could sneak onions in to be cooked, he did. Then he ate enough to rival a human's appitite.

"Come on, mom and dad won't mind if we start in early. They probably got caught up with the Taurus anyways. They keep trying to stampede."

Thankfully she was done with the normal type even if that one Skitty kept following her around. That thing had a stomach in it's extra palm, had to have had for the amount it packed away.

Without saying much else, Evangeline headed into the kitchen. The curry was sitting on the stove on the lightest setting possible. Hopefully her mom hadn't been out for too long, burnt curry on the bottom was what they'd get for lunch if so. Then again, as she stired it, it didn't look burnt. She had a feeling that was more to do with the fact that Rorsh had been in there adding onions with telepathy than her mom's attention span though. Seriously, she loved how domestic her Espeon got sometimes. She was pretty sure he was a better cook than she was...well for everything that had his favorite ingrediant in it. Which meant that she definately had kept him away from all the farfetches that had ever been brought or hatched on the farm even if it let him get away with murder in the kitchen practically.

She brought down nice sturdy bowls from the cupboards and pulled some pre-done rice out of the fridge. It would heat up under the curry she was sure. If not then more...moreness to the meal and that's how it was going to be. Scooping rice and curry in not so equal parts between two bowls she set those aside while getting as much of the over excess of curried onions out of the pot just for Rorsh. And with a balancing act that came with practice, Evangeline moved back out of the kitchen to where she'd left Stiles - though she didn't know his name just yet.

"Bathroom is dead ahead. Hurry up or it will get cold."

Aaaand there that little bugger is. Her eyes darted over to Rorsh as he stretched around the corner, his fur catching the sun and making it seem more like silk than anything.

"Get the spoons. Two this time," she instructed her recently woken up Espeon.

"Espe," the pokemon agreed with a tone of 'I'll get right on that' in a sarcastic flare.

Miles nodded quickly, removing his dirty shoes, and socks, cause those were definitely also dirty and wet, and made a beeline for the bathroom. Oh my god. It been a while since he'd seen one of these. The boy had taken far too much from nature it seems, but as he closed the door behind him, he couldn't help but think about his options now. The boy took a long moment with the soap that was sitting on the sink in a dish, and let the suds over take his fingers, washing them thurroughly, then taking some of the soapy water and washing his face. He could actually see his real skin complexion now, that was a relief. Good to know he hadn't been severely sun burnt. After taking another moment with the soap, he washed the back of his neck, then his feet, and then sighed. He wished he could present himself better than this. He returned the soap back to the dish half as large as it was before he started.

The boy walked out of the bathroom and tried to smile, but all he felt was guilt. He couldn't take anything from these people, they were so nice to him. He didn't have any money, were they expecting him to give them money? Oh god, they were definitely expecting him to give them money. Miles walked back into the kitchen, a lot of his visible skin loads cleaner than before, and then folded his hands infront of him, turning to the girl who'd taken him in with an apologetic? look. "I can't take anything from you - I-I don't have any money. I - I'm sorry I used your soap." he started. "I can make you some more soap! I know how! I just - need to gather some stuff. And - it'll take some time, but, I can make some more." the boy stated with a look of self shame.

"It's just...soap," Evangeline said in a slightly confused tone. "You can calm down. Come on, I know it's muggy and this is hot food and all but it's really yummy."

Ah, and there was her spoon. Levitated right over her shoulder. Stiles' was soon to follow. Out of habit she waited until she saw the glasses of water getting set down, even though she hadn't asked for them, before putting the bowl meant for Rorsh beside her chair on the ground.

"Besides, can't be the first time right? You use stuff at the pokemon center without paying for it don't you?"

Miles turned up to the girl with a confused look. "Dont you need to have pokemon to go into one of those?" he asked.

Evangeline stopped at stared at him. "...You're not a trainer?"

Miles shook his head slowly, and then he felt his heart drop. Oh no, she was only helping him because she thought he was a trainer. "I- I'm sorry. I should have told you. I didn't mean to not tell you, or - I mean I didn't think to tell you, but - I can just leave, if you want me to leave. I'll get you some more soap. Really. I-I'm so so sorry." The boy felt his face burn again, and the back of his neck started to sweat. He technically did have a pokemon, but no one was to know about it. And he learned the only way to hide a pokemon, was to believe that he didn't have one himself. That was the only way to completely hide Lucky away from anyone. No one would ever find out about Lucky if he could help it. Not after the kinds of things the poor Lugia had already been through.

"Chill. If you're not a trainer then what were you doing wondering about?"

The boy stopped to ask himself similar questions on occaion. It would have been equally as challenging to hide the Lugia from his family, but at least he wouldn't have to worry about where he was going to eat, or sleep. He wanted to be able to learn, to explore, but he also wanted to find an enviroment suitable for Lucky to live hapily. And on Dewford, there wasn't any place for him to do that. Plenty of water, but that was all. "Learning. I'm studying, and - learning." he told her. "But more recently, it's just been surviving." he told her.

"Uh-huh. So ten...eleven?" She tossed up, sticking her spoon in her bowl.

Confusion consumed Miles' face. "Ten, eleven of what? I'm sorry." he asked honestly.

            "Years old."

            'He's nine.'

Evangeline looked down to Rorsh with a bit of surprise, shifting into a look of admonishment. "Okay, so nine years old and sorry...he's a snoop."

Miles leaned his head with a smile, so she communicated with her pokemon - cause Miles didn't hear anything. Or maybe he wasn't paying attention. "Yes, Nine. Your Espeon told you that?" he asked. He knew being able to communicate with a pyschic pokemon was possible but it made him wonder what he could - not that he had a pyschic pokemon. nope. he didn't have any pokemon. Especially when the Espeon was around. The boy still hadn't gained the courage to touch the food offered to him.

"Yeah. So you're a bit young to be wondering around. Where's the home town? Nearby?"

Dark hair shook with his answer. He'd traveled a long way, starting with the ferry out of dewford, though he wasn't sure he should tell her where he was from, afraid she'd send him back there. "It's not close." was all he said. The boy felt his stomach growl again, and his hands fell to the ache. Another blush rose to his face, but he worked to play it off.

"You're going to need a big meal then. Go ahead, eat."

another head shake in negation left the boy lost for direction. "I can't - I don't have anything to offer you. I don't have money, or - anything. he admitted.

"Does this look like a fast food place?" Evangeline asked as she motioned around with her spoon.

"N-no." Miles wasn't if he'd now started to offend her, or if something. Fast food place or not, he didn't have much of a thanks to offer her either. The only thing he carried with him was a sweat shirt and the Master Ball he'd taken from his father that now housed Lucky. Not that he was thinking that at all. NO the only thing on his mind was the fact that he wasn't shoveling the food infront of him down his throat. "If it's okay with your family, maybe I could, work for the food? I'll do anything. Clean, cook, anything." he said softly. "I'm not a trainer. And I don't think I'm ever going to be a trainer. So, if you want me to leave - I will just leave, it's okay." Miles finished.

"Hold your horsie, kid," she said, slipping her spoon back into the curry. "Eat the food. Full stomach and all that so you can work if thats what you end up wanting to do."

Miles swallowed a large lump in his throat before taking hold of the spoon. "Are you sure it's okay?" he asked, ensuring he understood correctly.

"Other than the arsenic?" She teased. "One hundred percent. Eat."

Arseni-oh it was a joke. Miles smiled brightly, before taking the spoon up to his mouth and placing it inside. The moment the metalic taste hit his taste buds, mixed with the beautiful taste that was the curry, he felt his body enter a state of worship. One spoonfull lead to another, and another, the boy wasn't even really taking time to chew the food much at all. It was delicious. So delicious. Miles worked to salvage every bite as if it were his last for a while, letting the spoon linger in his mouth a little bit between bites. The smile never left his face, he was happier than he'd ever been in his life. But the boy couldn't bring himself to look back up at the girl. She was awfully nice. He couldn't believe it didn't come with a cost. There had to be some sort of thing she was going to ask of him.

With a wary eye she watched him eat. Though it might have been more concerned than wary of him persay. Oh well. He really must have been starving if he went through it that quickly. How he didn't burn his tongue she had no idea. Maybe it was used to eating hotter foods - temperature as well as spice. One of the things she supposed she'd figure out later.

"I'm Evangeline," she said over their shared meal after setting down her glass of water. "What's your name?"

            'Long distence,' Rorsh butted in.

Evangeline did her best to ignore it. Honestly - long distance? That was a random thing for him to say when she'd asked for the kid's name. Even for him.

Miles felt his eyes widen. uh- his name. "St-" he paused. "Stiles -" he finished. Uh sure. Yeah that was his name alright.

"...Stiles?" There was a tone of disbelief in her voice as she stared at him.

            Who named their kid Stiles?

"Evangeline?" he said in a similar tone, almost as to question why she was questioning him. Stiles is his name - that's what he was going by now. At least he'd believe it was so as long as the Espeon was around.

"Hey, at least it's a name. Yours sounds like you mom or dad was too focused on getting the latest fashion after you popped out."

She didn't mean it in a mean way, just in an observation. Evangeline licked her spoon as she stared at him, seeing if he'd try to come up with a better reason than a desire for fashion. Rorsh gave the pokemon version of a snort as he bumped her legs, clearly sending her signals for wanting more food. But she didn't bend down and grab the bowl. He'd had enough for the day - onion fetish or no onion fetish.

Stiles' face glew red again. "I didn't have the words to tell them it was a strange name when they were giving it to me, but - What can I do now?" he said, placing his spoon back into his empty bowl. Oh how he could eat nine more of these bowls easily. "I think you have a lovely name." he told her, still eyeing his empty bowl.

"Thanks. Mine's a bit ironic but...well you could always tell your parents to go change it now can't you?"

Stiles shook his head. "Asking my parents to change the name they selected for me? Don't you think that'd be asking something highly inappropriate? I was named after my grandfather." he told her. The boy was certainly one to tell an interesting story, not that lying felt good. "I don't wish to change my name. I like it." he explained. Stiles pulled his spoon back into his mouth, holding it there for a while in the hopes of getting everything from it. He didn't understand why he was still hungry.

"I see. Stiles," she tried the name out again, still curious about the original story behind it. "So how'd you get lost around here?"

Stiles was positive he'd gotten lost the moment he stepped off the fairy. He didn't even know where he was taken. The story would be a very long story, but to keep matters short, Stiles answered. "I don't have a map." Regardless his situation, the boy didn't know where he was headed, so why did it matter where he was? It terrified him to think that this is what life was going to be like. He couldn't live like this.

A nine year old kid, traveling and trying to learn about the world without a map? Either that kid was lying or he was slightly insane.

"Why don't you have a map?"

No more lies, Stiles. "I left it on the Ferry." he told her bluntly, though he wasn't sure how many more questions he was going to have to answer. Hopefully not too many. Hopefully she'd give him some sort of task, and then kick him out or something. He didn't know where his future lay, but he would rather it come quickly than wait and see how it hurts.

"I see," she said in a quiet voice.

A few more bites of curry and rice went into her mouth as she contemplated this boy in front of her. She'd been neglecting her meal since the start, pretty much. Especially compared to him. But she was hungry. The door opened up as she tried to think about what to ask him next. Her parents finally got away from the tempermental pokemon.

"Started without us?" Her mom asked in a light tone. "And you brought a....is that a dust Buneary?"

"I was thinking and overgrown diglet," her father tossed back. "Who let dark moss grow on their head for extra protection. We should probably get that off before it affects the brain."

The moment the door opened, Stiles felt his heart leap out of his chest. Oh - no - there were more of them. Of course there had to be. He knew that other people had parents too. Everyone had parents. Stiles instantly rose from his seat, and went to extend his hand. "I'm - Stiles." he told them. "Evangeline kindly invited me for lunch. But I don't want to extend my welcome. I'm sorry for invading your property." he told them. "And for using your soap."

"Should have used more of it," Her father, Zane, said as he popped into the kitchen to get his own bowl of food. "So got lost on the way to...?"

Stiles froze. why did people ask so many questions. Sure, he was a hobo walking around dirty as hell, and hungrier than he was dirty, but he didn't think about having to answer these questions again, especially to a person he wasn't sure was pestering him, or royally upset with his existance in their house. "I - don't know." he said almost completely the same way he told Evangeline ealier.

            'Runaway.'

Evangeline nearly choked on her food as her eyes whipped down to her contented looking Espeon. A runaway? Okay. Why? From who? From where? Better yet - how could she get Rorsh to stay out of the poor kid's head?

"Uh, can he stay? So he can wash up and get something back in his stomach. Apparently he can't feed himself in the wild."

Maybe he could if someone else wasn't always just as ravenous. Not that he was traveling with anyone. The boy felt his heart sink again. "N-no it's fine. I can't stay, I don't -" he paused again feeling a slight sense of urgency. "I don't have anything to offer. I'm - sorry for bothering you nice people, but I don't want to burden you." he said softly, yet audibally.

"There are about...oh...ten kids running about trying to do things. What's one more?"

Evangeline hummed to herself in agreement, hurrying to finish off her curry. Her parents were push overs pretty much - hearts so big that Chancy never stood a chance. They'd have never pushed the nine year old off before he'd at least gotten a bath. Now she just had to play the game of how long they let it go while she tried to figure out why or where he ran away from. She cast a scatching look down to her innocent looking Espeon. Without a certain someone snooping into his mind.

Stiles felt his heart racing again. Were they - telling him he could stay? Well, longer than he expected. He couldn't express how much cleaning up would mean to him. He didn't think far enough to bring any clothes with him on his journey. He didn't realize he was going on a journey when he was, he would have filled his packpack with snacks, and brought along his pillow. What did he know? He knew Hoenn was massive, but it didn't dawn on him how finding a Lugia was all of impossible. Stiles shook some, almost frightened now. He didn't know how to react to this niceness. "I am willing to work. Anything you need done around here, I'll do it. I can feed your pokemon, groom them, clean up after them. Your kindness cannot be repayed, it's far too vast. But please take my service as my thanks for all you have provided me."

"And how old are you?" Evangeline's mother, Freya, asked as she sat down with her own bowl of curry. "Last I checked, little boys were more worried about how many scraps they can get in a day...not how to pay someone back for being nice. Unless mud pies to the face count."

Stiles could pay in mud pies if that's what they wanted. Oh yeah he could. Shaking his head with a soft smile, he shrugged. "I guess most little boys tend to take scraps for granted. I'm not going to take anything for granted. Evangeline is right, I - am not well adapted to take care of myself in the wild. But I'm sure I'll learn. People do it all the time, right? That's why I left anyway, to Learn." Stiles couldn't believe how socialble he was. Perhaps it was a way to distract himself from how hungry he still was.

"So go out and learn," Zane said as he finished off a glass of lemonade. "Just don't go near the bull pen. They're getting testy. We had to get the females out a few weeks ago. Oh, and don't let that Pelipper pick you up. He likes picking up the runts of the litter and taking them gods know where."

Stiles nodded, escusing himself his seat, and heading over for his shoes again. The small boy sat down on the floor and started to pull his damp socks back onto his feet, and his shoes soon after. "Is there anything you'd like me to do now?" he asked. "Before i uhm - learn how to take care of myself out there? Really, your kindess goes way beyond all measures." one meal, and they've already out done any other person's level of kindess toward the boy.

"I'll go with you," Evangeline said, standing up.

There were a few other pokemon on the ranch that he'd need to worry about. Well more than a few. Especially in the fire area - they got a little bit hot headed on that side. She was glad that she could put off working with them for a bit longer.

"Stay out all night," Zane called out with a half wave as she started out the door. "Make sure the dust buneary doesn't freeze."

A little backwards but...what kind of breeder would she have ended up as if she didn't sleep out with the pokemon every once in a while? Or so her father claimed. Not like she didn't have them hopping in her bed when she was at home. No, because that would be out of the question.

"C'mon, gotta finish feeding my section," Evangeline said as she pulled on her knee high work boots and the dropped food from earlier.

Stiles froze in his treads - so they weren't kicking him out just yet. Stiles was a little confused, but he'd follow Evangeline around a little longer.

It had been eight months, Wow, time had really come to pass quickly, since Stiles had stumbled upon the Linaré family. The boy was picking up work quickly, trying to prove to them he wasn't staying soley to mooch off of them. In fact, the boy felt guilty every time he laid his head on a bed inside the room of their Evangeline. He didn't deserve their hospitality by any means. But he had no where else to go, no where to stay, and they were now telling him that he could stay with them through his education. He'd just enrolled in the primary schooling programs in Mauville, just five miles south. It was a long morning walk, but he made it enjoyable. But mornings still managed to be a little chaotic. The boy would stumble out of bed after hardly any sleep at all, to sit and wait for breakfast, toching more of his homework that he hadn't gotten to the night before. Then he'd gather all he needed and help out with the morning feeding. Clean anything he needed to, and then he'd be off.

But this morning was different. It was Saturday morning. The boy did wish to wake up for the early morning call, his eyes loathed the idea of opening, and his pillow seemed to have magnetic draw to his head. But he knew that he'd need to wake up extra early, or he wouldn't get any time with his best friend. The boy groaned some as he sat up in his bed, looking around the room to make sure Eva, or worse Rorsh, hadn't woken. Once he felt secure enough, he brought himself too his feet, and reached over into his backpack, and threw it on his back, and snuck to the door. The boy detoured to the bathroom taking no time at all to take care of his morning ritual. Peeing, brushing his teeth, fixing his hair, you get it. As soon as the boy had come to morning ready, he pulled on his work boots, and made his way out the door.

Stiles made a run for it, after taking time to make sure no one was watching him, north toward treefort city, and stopping by a near by waterfall, one he knew Lucky would highly enjoy, and was well hidden in the terrain. Stiles took a good glance around to ensure no one was watching him, and sunk his hand into his backpack, and pulled out his masterball, looking down on it with a soft smile. "Alright, Lucky. You can come out n-" the boy didn't even finish the sentance before the lugia that was only slightly larger than him swoooped him up into his arms and flopped backward on his back, holding Stiles close to him. THe nine year old roared with laughter, as he held tightly onto the Lugia. "Did you miss me?" he asked with a smiling hug. Lucky brought himself up on his legs again and dropped Stiles on his feet, nudging him as he inched his way into the water. 'always.' he said, grabbing the boy's shirt lightly with his teeth and trying to pull him closer into the water. Stiles faught the pull with everything in him. "No, Lucky." he said, pushing his head some. "I can't come back wet again, last time - well you remember." he reminded the pokémon.

Lucky let go what sounded like a chuckle, as he released Stiles from his hold, watching the boy crash onto the ground on his butt. The Lugia took no second of instruction, but instead completely emersed himself in water. Stiles kept his place on the ground, and took out a note book from his backpack and started to look over some notes.

Back at the family home, nearer to the route than where Stiles currently played with his pokemon, Evangeline stretched out in a very feline like way. Her toes curled as she slowly shrunk back into a normal laying position, eyes fluttering open to stare up wards. Something was definately different from when she'd gone to sleep. But in her sleepy state it was a little hard to put a finger on it...or even try to figure out what it was. She was just left with that puzzled feeling until she finally got enough sense to turn her head to the side to see if Stiles was awake yet. Sure enough he was - unless he'd turned invisible and no longer had a body for the blanket to be displaced by. She was going to go with being awake and already up doing things.

"Where'd he go?" Evageline wondered to herself quietly.

Rorsh stretched from his spot at her hip. 'Out.'

Rolling her eyes she lightly bumped her oh so helpful pokemon. She tried to turn over to start the process of getting out of bed, only for Rorsh to stretch out over her legs and blocking her escape. His back arched and she had to wait until he was done stretching and jumped off the bed before she could get up too. When she finally got off the bed, she peeked under the thick bedskirts to see that Nox was still curled up in his padded area, his golden fur rings glowing as was his usual in the dark. He was going to sleep in apparently...or he'd just gone to bed, it was hard to know with him. Oh well.

She got dressed after the whole bathroom routine as well, though she'd always showered at night so her bed never got all dirty, before heading out. She had pokemon to wake up, feed and let out to roam. Not to mention all the grooming that had to take place. And checking on the eggs. And a whole lot of other stuff. Stuff that Stiles was supposed to be doing with her. Where had that boy gotten off to?

Rorsh pushed passed her legs, brushing up against her to make sure he had his attention. 'He went to go see a friend.'

Evangeline stared down at her mildly unhelpful pokemon with confusion. "...He doesn't exactly have friends."

            'He has one.'

"I hope they're more helpful than you," her tone was a bouncy sort of friendly as she chewed on the breakfest bar she'd picked up on the counter."Alright, time to go find him. Any ideas?"

            'Water.'

There was quite a lot of water places given the fact that the ranch was rather large, but at least it narrowed it down a little. She started northward where the lake resided to see if she could find a hint of him. It was actually a lot harder than it seemed seeing as the ranch spanded a good width both ways. It was extremely large consider that the land came from having a lot of people buying it up when it was cheeper to settle like a hundred years ago. Which meant that she'd had to stop and wake up a snubble...she needed a tracker to find this kid. Thankfully it was the one they'd just finished working with in the last six month cycle.

"Think you can help me find Stiles?" Evangeline asked as she bent down, lightly scratching behind the pokemon's floppy pink and black ears.

This particular snubble would be going home soon, if she remembered. The owner was away on holiday, Orange Island resort or something, and would be back within a few days.

"Snubble?" The voice came out slightly confused.

"Stiles. The kid who always wanted to test how good your sense of smell is. Remember him?"

"Snub," the pokemon let out shortly, nodding and standing up.

"Want to show him what you can really do? Follow his scent from memory? Even Rorsh can't do that."

Oh, Rorsh didn't like that part. Not one bit. His gem gleamed in the light as his eyes narrowed up at her. He might not be as prideful as the new Flareon she was trying to tame but he definately had his moments. Having her tell another pokemon that he was incapble of doing something on his own was definately one of those moments. She was probably going to regret it later on...at some point.

The snubble puffed up in pride as it nodded. The strong jaw titled up as it took in the air. Then started walking around on the ground, nose down to the dirt as he hunched over on his front paws. With only minimal warning, Snubble broke out into a full run. Evangeline chased behind him, though this time Rorsh didn't follow. He went back to their house with his head held up a bit higher than it needed to be. Yep, she was definately going to regret it at some point.

But in the mean time she followed the Snubble through literally thick and thin for miles. Once in a while they'd stop so the snubble could pick up the trail once more, but then they were back off. For a kid he could definately move, that much was for sure. No one could say he was unfit or lacking for energy. She wondered what person was so far out into the land that he left early in the morning to go see them. Another apprentice maybe?

When she got to the area, the snubble proudly struted around for a moment as it took in his victory. Evangeline, however, froze as she stared out at the scene before her. Little Stiles was playing with a pokemon by the waterfall. Not just any pokemon. A Lugia. Her mouth dropped a little in surprise as she stared out at the two.

Stiles Smiled as Lucky flopped around in the water, showing Stiles all the pokemon he caught with a proud look. "That's great, but only eat until you're not hungry anymore - or we'll have some sort of shortage - and - well that'd be bad." The Lugia nodded, but froze in mid nod, looking down at Stiles. Stiles looked up, his head turned, "Wh-what is it?" he asked, standing up and turning around. oh no. 'is this my fault?' Stiles flinched back to Lucky. "No, no, it's not, it's no one's fault. It's - no one's fault." he said placing the pokeball and his notebook down. "Uhm, hi?" he said awkwardly.

Lucky pulled himself out of the water, and nudged the pokeball closer to Stiles.

Instead of saying hello, straight away, Evangeline stared for a bit more. Then a smile split her face.

            "He's so pretty."

Lucky looked up at the complimant and turned to Stiles with his common look of excitment. Yeah, Stiles didn't want this, but he'd always wanted to see what she would think of him. The girl that Stiles worked with. 'she can play now right?' Stiles turned to Lucky with a chuckle. "Well, if she wants to - but -" hard feelings came to him. Something about his big secret being out, but - why did it matter to her? What would happen now? Would she expose him, would she tell everyone about Lucky? Would people flock to see him. Lucky could read the uneasiness in Stiles, and he walked over to him nudging his arm with his head.

"So he's the friend you keep sneaking out to go see, huh?" Evangeline asked as she stayed near the treeline, rubbing behind the Snubble's ears to let them know they did a good job. "Good...probably would have been awkward if mom and dad tried to stick dittos around him for a year...doesn't look all that big yet. You're just a baby, aren't you?"

At least, compared to the legends she'd heard about. The ones where Lugia could tilte entire ships, for better or for worse. The big shadows that people saw under the water's edge. Or even those who claimed to see them flying around during a rather massive storm. All of those led her to believe that this specific type of pokemon were supposed to grow up to be massive. Besides, he kind of felt juvinille to her. Just like any other baby pokemon that they hatched. Just not quite as young.

Lucky continued to press into Stiles' shocked body, before he turned to Evangeline himself. Stiles held out his hand, but then dropped it, realizing that if Lucky wanted to meet her, he wouldn't stop him. "He's five. I found him really really young, It's kind of a long story, but - yeah, he's - smaller than most Lugia."

"Most?" She asked, blinking. "You've seen more?"

Stiles nodded. "Not in person, but - he showed me once. What his family looked like. It felt like I was there infront of them, but, it was an illusion. He's - incredible once you realize what amazing things he can do." Lucky began to leap with excitment, just from being mentioned, and he grabbed Stiles into his wing like Arms, and threw him up to catch him. Stiles was far use to this by now, but the movement left him with an uneasy feeling. Once he was in the Lugia's hold, he held on tightly, fear written on his face, but so trusting of the pokemon that held him near. "Don't you even think about it." Stiles said, holding closer, as he watched Lucky take steps toward the water again. "Lucky! Stop it! Hey!" he said, trying to free himself from his grip. 'it's fun in the water. it's fun, i'll swim with you.' Stiles kept trying to get out of the grip, before Lucky released him and steped into the water again, turning to look at Stiles with a look of disapointment.

Evangeline laughed as she watched the interaction. It was definately cute. Too bad she couldn't record what was happening. Everything about this pokemon was so new and most of it very unknown. Assuming that they lived in the deep waters, where most sitings took place, she assumed that they had a gill system or at least a great lung capacity. Their skin looked thick from how she saw it bending, probably with the rest of the body that allowed them to take the pressure of the deep water. Yet they were capible of flight if the legends were true. Odd. But she'd definately seen a lot of pokemon that didn't seem like they should be able to fly, fly. Oh there was so much she wanted to know about this pokemon and it wasn't like she could go up and exactly ask anyone either. Other than Stiles aparently.

"Sad he won't get in the water with you huh? Probably doesn't want to get his clothes wet - they're pretty evil when you have to wear them all day," Evangeline spoke out with a conspiratory voice towards the two of them.

Lucky thought for a moment. Awww, the clothes. 'remove your clothes? then come play?' he asked.

Stiles face lit up, as he watched Lucky pull himself back out of the water and inch closer to him again, taking hold of the bottome of his shirt with his mouth and pulling the boy upward. Stiles fought to keep his clothes on, "Thank you for giving him the idea to strip me." he said, trying tp push the Lugia off of him again. 'Will you play with me? We don't play." Stiles sighed, the boy so desired to play, but he knew what he needed to do that day.

"You should be happy he's using his mouth..." Evangeline said with a smile as she took a seat, sending the Snubble back home. "When Rorsh wants me to do something it's all about the telekinesis. Try fighting that. Especially if you're not on the ground anymore."

            "N-n-no don't say that!"

There was a visible smile on Lucky's face now as he turned to Evangeline with a nod. In the Next moment the boy was in the air, complaining, and calling at Lucky to drop him, the clothing didn't matter any more, all the lugia did was decide he was ready to play with him. "Lucky please don't. Lucky! FINE!"/color] Stiles was placed back on the ground, and with it, Stiles dropped his backpack, and lifted his shirt over his head. "Are you staying?" he asked Evangeline, as he kiecked off his shoes.

"What kind of mentor would I be if I left? Besides, we don't have too much longer. Gotta wake up the geodudes soon."

Sighhing Stiles shook his head, pulling at his belt, and dropping all but his underwear. "Guess from now it just depends on how much you don't want to see of me." Stiles said, placing his fingers at the elastic of his underwear.

"Doesn't bother me. Little boys used to run around the lake naked, Stiles. Especially during the summer," Evangeline said calmly as she stayed at her spot. "But I can close my eyes if it makes you feel better."

"It's - fine, I guess." he said, pulling them downward, and then taking steps closer to Lucky with a smile at his pokemon. Lucky was leaping backward, splashing water everywhere, enough to get Evageline soaking wet in the process. Stiles laughed at that fact, diving into the water, and surfacing beside his pokemon, making a small splash his way in comparison to the tsunami's he'd created. Lucky reached over to Stiles, and threw him up on his back, before submerging enough to cover all of Stiles that shouldn't see too much daylight. Stiles stroked the Lugia, and leaned over to him, covering his eyes, and laughing. Lucky turned around to face him, eyes still covered with what Stiles could manage, and he spit a gust of water into Stiles' face. Startled, Stiles fell backward into the water again, laughing as he did so.

"Playful thing," Evangeline muttered under her breath as she tried to squeeze the water out of her shirt. It wasn't going well, obviously.

Looking over to Stiles he seemed to be rather engaged with the Lugia. She weighed her options for a moment, staring up at the sky briefly. It wasn't exactly mind numbing hot outside with it being the start of the morning. So even if she laid her clothes out to dry on a rock or from a branch behind her, they were still going to be wet when they had to leave. That was okay - so were his. That tidal wave that had gotten her had taken his clothes out with them too consider he was a lot closer to the source than she was. Which pretty much made his whole stripping down rather pointless, really. She wondered when he was going to figure out that little tid bit.

But she did end up moving to an area not so drenched with water. Sitting in wet grass would only keep her wet for longer. She moved over to one of the rocks on the other side of the water, on the far edge so the mist from the waterfall never reached it. It was only slightly warm to the touch as the sun hadn't been out long enough to do much more than that. Laying out against it, her feet could have dipped into the water's edge if she allowed them.

            "Aren't you two hungry yet?"

From the amount of breakfast bars led out on the counter, he hadn't brought his with him. Plus she was pretty sure she'd walked in on him telling the Lugia that he had to make sure not to eat all the pokemon in the area.

STiles had worked his way back ontop of the Lugia who playfully tried doing the same thing over and over again with the water. But the Lugia turned up at the sound of Evangeline's voice, enough to throw Stiles right back off his back agian. Stiles chuckled as he came back up from the water, pushing Lucky some as he glanced over to Evangeline. "What?" he asked, forcing Lucky over agian, and trying to climb him agian. Lucky turned over on his back, and brough Stiles onto his stomach, 'are you hungry?' the Lugia asked him. The boy shrugged laying forward against the Lugia's neck, propping himself up on his elbows. "I guess, a little." he admitted.
