Name: Shackleton Higgs

Nickname: Shacks

Age: 11

Birthday: 28th December

Sign: Capricorn

Gemstone: Turquoise

Blood Type: O

Fav. Food: Like many children, Shackleton loves sweet things. Unlike many other children, he also loves sour things. Combine them together, and you get sweet and sour pork, chicken - or those awful sweets which are sour enough to make your tongue bleed if you eat too many.

Hated Food: VEGETABLES. A little stereotypical perhaps, but Shackleton like many children despises anything green, healthy and gross and bitter tasting. Broccoli is a particular detestation, but he's quite happy to eat sweet vegetables such as carrots and sweetcorn.

School: Knightside Elementary!

Hobbies:

Rock Climbing

Shackleton really, really likes heights. He enjoys roller-coasters and trips up to high buildings, and he's always the one at the top of the climbing frame or climbing that tree. Slightly worried by the amount of times Shackleton has fallen and hurt himself and kept on doing it anyway, his father decided that it'd be a good idea to get him somewhere where he can climb safely and in harnesses. Of course, it then turned out Shackleton's favourite activity is bouldering which is without a harness anyway. But the point is, he loves this hobby, and goes to a club every saturday.

Martial Arts

Originally suggested by a counsellor as an outlet for Shackleton's temper, the boy has really taken to this hobby. The strict rules in place help him know how to act, and he enjoys taking out his anger on stuffed targets rather than hurting real people. He's still a novice, only a yellow belt, but it's certainly helping him keep a lid on his temper, as well as teaching him self-defense.

Virtues:

Imaginative

Shacks always has a story to tell, or game to play or drawing to do. His little mind is overflowing with fantastical ideas and concepts, and he has to get them out somehow! Whether they're tasked with writing a story in class or whether you just want a game to play on the playground, Shackleton always has ideas. He's also good at thinking of out-of-the-box solutions to problems, and he can entertain himself for hours with things other people might find boring or useless. That cardboard box - a prison you have to escape! That stick is a fancy pirate sword..or a lightsaber!

Outgoing

Shacks is pretty confident! He likes people, and he'd like people to like him, but it doesn't matter so much if they don't. Not afraid to approach people, or strike up a conversation out of nowhere, or even hug someone who looks like they're having a bad day. He's pretty secure in himself and loves to be the center of attention! He likes social events and parties, and loves after-school clubs and school trips even if he's not particularly interested in the subject, because they give him a chance to socialize and chat to people.

Friendly

As well as being confident, Shackleton is genuinely friendly. He likes people, like we've already covered, and he likes seeing people happy. Whilst he's not the smartest tack in the box when it comes to people, he does enjoy them. He likes meeting new people, but he also enjoys cementing friendships that he's already got. He's not neccessarily popular, but he's got a good solid group of friends and can hang around almost anyone and get on with them.

Flaws:

Dreamy

The downside to having an active imagination is that he's often caught up in it. Shackleton is often caught daydreaming, and he has a relatively poor attention span, always caught up in what-ifs and could-have-beens. This is particularly bad when he's supposed to be paying attention to something he finds boring such as speeches or lessons, and it's less bad if he's doing something he enjoys and can concentrate on, but even then he's prone to daydreaming.

Poor Social Graces

Shackleton struggles to tell when enough is enough - when people want him to go away and stop bothering them. He always assumes everyone likes the same things he likes ; that is to say lots of people and interaction. Shy people just need breaking out of their shells, that's all. Grumpy people just need cheering up. He also struggles to tell if people are lying or being truthful. Perhaps wisdom will come with age, but at the moment it's lacking, despite his kind intentions.

Temper Temper

He doesn't have a short fuse - it takes a lot to get Shackleton worked up, but when it does he's a force to be reckoned with. From screaming to hitting, Shackleton is down right vicious when he's angry, and whilst he almost always feels bad afterwards, when he's caught up in his emotions he's almost impossible to talk down. In fact, after a few incidents and school and the like, Shackleton's father took him to a counsellor, whom he still sees.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Reference!

Eyes: Big, round eyes! Brown!

Hair: Dreadlocks, dark brown, almost black.

Face: Round, childish face!

Clothes: See Ref!

Senshi: Chibi Senshi Prospero of Derechos!

Challenge: "Derechos spell Destruction....for you!"

Fuku Colour:
Main Color: Some kind of blue! Or maybe grey?
Secondary Color: Some kind of contrasting blue, or maybe a lightning-like blue-white.

Template: CB3 please!

Fuku:
-- These are only ideas! Honestly I love the themed senshi you amazing artists come up with, so if you have an idea, feel free to disregard what I've gone with! I'd love to see it really themed around his sphere, though! (A derecho is a straight-line wind storm, so wind/storms/ect.)

Collar -- CC!
Bow -- CC!
Bodice -- CC!
Sleeves -- Long, flowing sleeves that are tattered at the end.
Brooch -- Shaped like a Cloud.
Bottoms -- Cargo Shorts layered over tights!
Tiara -- Traditional-esque, blue gem! CCish!
Choker -- A long, slightly tattered semi-transparent scarf layered over a thin ribbon-like choker.
Shoes -- Thinking long boots of some kind maybe? CC.
Gloves -- Fingerless, maybe? CC!
Accessories -- CC!

Your MAIN COLOUR should dominate. Your SECOND COLOUR should be used for trimming.
Sailor Scout Attack: Derecho Knockback!

Touching his hands together and then bringing his arms up, Prospero summons a gust of straight-line wind that can topple unprepared opponents in it's path, knocking them back a few feet. The gust starts out strongest nearest Prospero, and fades the further away it gets. The attack is two feet wide and seven feet long, but by the time it reaches seven feet it is little more than a breeze.

Prospero can use this attack thrice in a battle.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Derecho Super Knockback!

Touching his hands together and then swinging his arms upwards, Prospero summons a bellow of straight-line wind that can topple even prepared opponents in it's path, knocking them back several feet. The gust starts out strongest nearest Prospero, and fades the further away it gets. The attack is two feet wide and eight feet long, but by the time it reaches eight feet it is little more than a breeze.

Prospero can use this attack twice in a battle.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Derecho Disaster!

Spinning round in a circle and then directing the storm with a gesture of his arms, Prospero summons a full-scale Derecho to buffet his opponents, with the eye the storm centered on Prospero. With whipping winds strong enough to knock over unprepared opponents as well as to pick up nearby debris and push it into them, this full-scale area-effect attack lasts for about thirty seconds. It has an eight-feet radius, centered on Prospero. Whilst the winds do not affect allies, the debris can hit them, as he doesn't control the debris. The debris can cause no more than bruising, even if it would normally do much more damage - ie. sharp objects and the like.

Prospero can use this attack once in a battle.

Hey, Tanu! Apologies for taking so long on your crit!

I think Shackleton's civ side looks good, and he sounds super adorable! Tiny hot-tempered baby, awwww<3

Unfortunately, Tempests as a sphere crosses too much with Alcyone of Storms and Typhon of Hurricanes - I feel it would be too difficult to differentiate it from those two already-existing spheres, particularly since his attacks are very much like Typhon's as written. If you'd like suggestions for some alternate spheres, I'd be happy to provide -- just let me know what you're looking at for him, thematically!

Thematically I'm looking for an offensive sphere that has something to do with the wind and/or storms? But there's a pretty limited pool in terms of that because there's not a lot of spheres to do with the wind/storms left, haha! If you can think of something though, that'd be great! *U*

Okay, well, derechos I think might make for a good alternate possibility! You can definitely make it offense-oriented, and I feel it's different enough from the other stormy spheres we have that as long as your attacks don't cross them (Duhr would be the only one I'm really worried about, but I'm pretty sure you'll be fine to differentiate) it should work~

I admit I struggled to understand exactly what a derecho WAS, so I'm not sure my attacks are appropriate? Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated, haha. ;u;

I like your attacks; however, the derecho is specifically the wind so I am not sure including rain/thunderstorm aspects would be appropriate?

Also I think the reach of ten/fifteen feet is too big and a minute and a half is much too long for a chibi D: Seven/eight feet and 30 seconds would be better! Chibis are very weak compared to full senshi, so keep that in mind!

According to the wikipedia they're accompanied by rain/thunderclouds? I can take that stuff out though if you like! If I do take that stuff out, would it be allowable for the wind to have an 'effect' of some kind?

And yeah I wasn't sure on that stuff, haha. I'll edit the timings appropriately!

I think giving the wind some sort of extra effect would be just fine! At Basic/Super maybe a knock back, at Eternal maybe it's a struggle to move against so sort of a wind shield? IDK!

Okay I went with knock back for the first two, and then debris-shifting for the latter? Let me know? *u*

Attacks look good, however I don't see a range on the Eternal attack? I think 8 feet would be fair for a Chibi!

Hey, Tanu!

This is a super cute profile and I want to stamp it as soon as possible so you can get your boy in play! Everything looks good to me, though because he is a chibi I think his attacks might look a little strong; because chibis are still technically senshi in training they don't have full mastery of their attacks and their attacks sometimes fail, so as long as you are playing with that in mind I think it should be all right! Song had some good ideas for chibis, and I think the first two attacks should be all right as is!

For his eternal attack, the only thing I would like to ask is if the debris that he is swimming around is capable of doing damage or if its sole purpose is to push people back/away from him during the duration of the attack? If the debris isn't really capable of doing damage and is solely existing to help push back opponents, then I think this attack is fine! (And just to clarify, would this wind affect allies/anyone within the 8 foot radius, or just enemies? If debris is swirling around, even if the winds don't hit allies, would the debris still pose a risk?)

Please just give me a quote if you have any questions, make any changes or have any questions and I'll be back as soon as possible!

Edited? I was thinking the debris could deal light bruising but nothing more, and has the ability to hit allies as well as enemies - if that's too OP let me know?

Ps. sorry this took so long, I kinda fell off the face of the earth!
