Yue woke to another day, her heart still empty yet so heavy. Life seemed to have no meaning, yet still the sun rose every morning and set every night. Why? Why?
She got up, stretched her legs and made her way slowly to the riverside where she would always sit and stare out at the water. True, things had gotten better once she had found a herd, some other horses to talk to from time to time. Some of them were nice, but still she couldn't shake the loneliness. Especially around Heaven-Leigh. She had everything Yue wanted. She was happy and carefree and...she had children. Yue's heart sank with jealousy every time she looked at Heaven-Leigh and needless to say, the two of them didn't get along very well.
A fresh tear leaked from Yue's eyes. She tried to stifle it before it could become a tidal wave, or yet worse, blood. Sometimes blood would leak from her tear glands. This happened when the pain was most unbearable. The blood still stained her face and it was a constant reminder that something was missing from her life. Her baby...
Sometimes the only thing that kept her going was trading the pain for hate. She may never get her baby back, but she would get her revenge one day. One day...
And in order to get revenge, she would need her strength. She needed water and food. She sighed and willed herself to move. Lowering her head, she took a long cool drink from the river and wondered if today would be any different than the day before it. 'Something has to change,' she thought.

And something was going to be a little different. Especially with Sasmita trotting along, her wings twitching against the soft wind current and her mouth turned into a grimace. Today was a boring day. nothing was going on for her.
Nothing even looked like it was going on in general. She tried checking out what the other horses were doing, but most of them were lounging about and looked more peaceful than the field mice that scattered about gently. Sasmita's eyes rolled as she remembered a few horses belly up.
The Soquili were too lazy around here, she thought. With another shakes of her head she decided to go and see if she can catch any excitement in the river. Her trot paces up a little more so that she makes it there before she changes her mind.
And she wishes she did. At the very river she went to a Blue Mare stood drinking from it. Sasmita's eyes squinted as she gave her a small look over. And with a small snort she tries not to get in the mares way as she moves herself to the water. A small noise escapes her mouth as she mutters words to the mare nearby. "Sorry. Don't mean to pry on your secluded drinking. "

Yue jumped when the other mare appeared and snorted in her direction. She had been in her own world, and the appearance of another had caught her off guard. This was a mare she'd never seen before, and her presence was not at all unwelcome, however this mare seemed to be upset for some reason. It seemed rude to take it out on Yue, but at the same time Yue didn't know what it was that might be bothering her. Besides, Yue's quarrels were not with this girl. She bit back a harsh retort as she stepped to the side, giving the mare some more room from which to drink, even though there was plenty of room already by the enter river bank. "Sorry," she said. "Perhaps you came here to be alone. I was just about to leave anyways." Drifting off into her own world for a moment she muttered, "I have a revenge to plot..." Her eyes narrowed and for a moment she didn't look sad, like as before, but a hot fire flashed in her dark eyes.
She shook her head as if shaking off this reverie and studied the mare in front of her for a moment. This was her first time meeting a wind soquli. She wondered what it would be like to fly. Then again, it was probably just cold and wet up there in the sky...
She was just turning to leave when she realized that it might be nice to try and talk to someone outside of her herd. If only she knew what to say...
The mare drinking in front of her looked nice enough, but she also had somewhat of an edge to her. Yue figured it would be best to start with her name. That was usually how these things went. There was always the possibility that this mare wouldn't want to talk to her, she couldn't really blame her, but then in that case she figured there would be no need to hold back any kind of retorts, no matter how harsh they may be. She had nothing to loose after all, except time in which she could be using to plot...
"Yue," she said finally. "My name's Yue."

The wind mare merely walks past the other one without any more words. But her head slowly turns back to look at her with a raised eye brow at how she's talking to herself. That was slightly interesting. Slightly more so than everything else around. Only slightly. Her ears flick back as she ignores the sentence and moves to take a drink of refreshing water.
A Sigh as the cool drops hit her throat. Her agitation dies down more as she continues drinking and she's more relaxed. Sasmita's wings flick slightly and she sighs again now that she's taken her fill. But when she pulls her head up she notices the other mare hasn't left yet and she raises an eye brow again. And then looks slightly surprised when she says her name.
Tilting her head and narrowing her eyes slightly she stays where she is, but takes a moment to respond. "Oh, so you were talking to me before then?" A snort as she tilts her head back to original positioning, she tries to move the hair from her eyes and snorts once more. "Well. I guess I'll tell you my name then. Sasmita. "

Yue was pleased to see that the giving of her name did not get rejected, and that the mare's snorts were simply something she seemed to do often, maybe to get her hair out of her eyes. Yue had some pesky bangs that fell in her eyes too. She liked them to stay there, and was generally a pretty quiet horse, but now she felt like trying out the snort.
"Sasmita?" she repeated, with a snort of her own. She noticed the bangs above her left eye give a little quiver and she smiled. "Well it's..." she was about to say nice to meet you, but had remembered what the mare had asked right before she had given her name. Had she been talking to her before? "Huh? Oh...oh that. No, I was..." She paused. It seemed easier somehow talking to a complete stranger than it did to someone from her herd. If something was going to change, she might need to start talking about herself.
"Yes. I was. I was talking about revenge. I was plotting some revenge you see. Have you ever done it?" she asked with a tilt of her heard.

Her eyes narrow again as she listened to the many pauses this soquili did. And she wondered what exactly was going on through her mind. But she rolls her eyes at the sentence and bites back a laugh. Actually she can't quite bite it back as she scoffs at Yue and then laughs for real now. She takes a few steps forward before staying in her position and letting her wings ruffle behind her. " No I've never had a reason to place revenge on anyone. But now you've got me curious. What exactly could have been done to be so bad that you're talking to yourself for.... maybe I can help you. Or not."

Yue bristled at the laughter. There it was, the edge she had sensed earlier. This mare had no idea what had been done to her, and she had laughed. The laughter cut her like a dagger.
Yet she still was not being rejected. Yue didn't know what to think of this mare.
"You shouldn't be so quick to laugh at situations you do not understand. And I wasn't talking to myself," she snapped.
"Do you see my eyes?" She shook her head a little to move the hair out of her eyes. Both were clouded in darkness, and both eyes had blood trails leaking out of them. Dried blood from all her tears.
"I was in love once. We had a foal, a little colt. But my mate, for a reason I still do not understand, turned on me and attacked. Our baby was killed and I was badly wounded. A piece of me is gone and I will never get it back, but I will have my revenge. My eyes have been clouded over from sadness, and my tears have turned to blood. I can not rest or be happy until I am avenged."
She looked down at the ground once she had finished, and it took all of her strength to hold back the fresh tears.
"Laugh if you want. Or you can help me."
