User Image Oh dear. Oh dear...was it this way? No, certainly not. Were the Bahari to the north of the Kizi, or perhaps the other way around?

Hiss sighed softly as she sat down for the fifth time since leaving the Bahari beach. Her stomach was full of whale meat and the heat had made her tired, distorting her sense of direction and making her rather confused. All this jungle looked the same! Even if she knew she was going in the wrong direction, she wouldn't know which way to start walking. She couldn't hear voices, the ocean, nothing!

"I really wish I had my friends right now," she said a bit sadly, finally starting to head in the direction of what she hoped was home. Her snake friends had remained in the Kizi, just in case they freaked anyone out in the Bahari. They might have been able to help her find her way back, but now it was all on her.

Finally the trees began to thin and she felt a little better. She had spent some time in the rouge lands during her journey from her old pride to the Kizi and at least she'd be able to tell where she was once she was out from under all these branches. She exited the forest and got her bearings, looking up at the sky with a grin. The sun was in front of her, which meant she was heading west since it was rather late in the day. She definitely didn't want to go west, but she did know she wanted to go south. Putting the sun to her right side she began to walk along the edge of the trees.

Lynnedslag liked this area, he decided so with a smile.

He liked the ocean and the joys of being near it, along with the fish that swam within it as it provided him with a nice meal to go on for the remainder of the day. Still though, nothing could beat the shade.

The yellow lion had retreated from the beach after he had encountered another of his kind! He was in a rush at the moment he left because he was irked at seeing another with a pelt that resembled his own! But that timid stranger had gone and left as quickly as he had come, and Lynnedslag was left running along the beach in search of his living reflection. He had felt the black wing markings along his back heat quickly under the unforgiving sun, and feeling tired stopped to rest. He at first had bathed in it's rays, lazily sleeping until it got to be too much for him. Now he was wandering away from said beach where the trees began to thicken slightly. He wasn't expecting to really run into anyone, certainly not anyone new after his previous encounter.

But then there was a lioness all of a sudden, almost running into him unexpectedly. "Oh." He was slightly stunned. He then laughed and with a smile said "Hello!"

Hiss hummed softly to herself as she walked, her eyes staring ahead of her unseeing. She was thinking about the huge whale she had helped get rid of, and smiled at how happy her neighboring lions had been. Those bones would certainly go to good use making their shelters stronger.

She was lost in thought when another lion stepped out of the trees. She blinked back to the present time and looked at the lion, dumbstruck. How had she not heard him coming? Or seen him coming with a coat like that.

"Hi! Sorry!" she said before laughing just a bit. "Oh wow...I really wasn't paying attention." She tilted her head just a bit, looking at the male with a slightly ditsy smile. "I'd walk away without my head if it wasn't attached to my shoulders. Are you part of the Bahari?" she suddenly added, perking up a bit. If he was, perhaps he could help her out and make sure she was going in the right direction. Although she hadn't seen him at the whale feast, nor at the Mummers Ball...hm. Maybe he was just a passing rouge.

I'm on a roll today~, Lynnedslag's SRP is done!

Lynnedslag eyed the female curiously, with a friendly smile plastered on his face. When she titled her head head he also had titled his, although it wasn't intentional he tended to do that with anyone he met. He also had a habit of greeting plantlife and rocks before greeting the person he actually intended on conversing with.

Oh, and another common factoid about Lynnedslag...

"You're pretty. I can't imagine a pretty lioness like you getting lost!"

He wasn't subtle.

"Hmm, nope I'm not part of any pride." He chuckled. "Is this Bahari where you live miss?" He asked curiously. "Oh, right. Sorry, My name's Lynnedslag, pleased to meet you!" He laughed at his own forgetfulness of telling her his name. Introducing himself was kind of important no matter how long a conversation he found. "What's yours?"

Where Lynnedslag wasn't subtle, Hiss wasn't very deep. She thought simple things and wore her heart on her sleeve, so when the compliment came she laughed and looked away, flushing under her fur.

"Thank you!" she said, casting a shy glance at the male. "Oh, you're far too kind. Unfortunately I don't think even the prettiest lioness in the world would able to find her way home with a mind like mine." Always thinking of other things, drifting off from what she should be focusing on...ah, it was a real struggle. When she had her snakes she did a bit better, but they weren't here right now.

"Oh no, that's not my home. I was just visiting," she said cheerfully. "I'm Hiss, and I'm from the Kizingo'Zaa. The Bahari are our neighbors and they had this huuuuge whale wash up on their beach, so we all went over to help them eat it and get rid of it. It was so good but I'm soooo full," she said, groaning just a bit. "So I got a little distracted when I was trying to get home."

Now, though, she didn't really mind. She had met a very nice lion who wasn't hard on the eyes and he was smiling just as much as she was! It was a win-win.

"You're a rouge then? I used to be a rouge, too."

EDIT: Wooo! We can toss 'em in the thread once this is wrapped up. Want me to send you her info or would you like me to post them once we're done?

I have no problems posting for them, whatever works for you. :3

"You should be glad you met me then, I'll help you find you're way home miss, yup." Lynned reassured her with a nod. He wasn't about to just leave this pretty lioness all on her own! Besides, this doppelganger of a lion might have come from her home and Lynn was taking no chances in trying to relocate him.

"Oh wow! I've never eaten a whale before, was it delicious?" He asked. "Ha ha, no wonder you're full I'd be full trying to eat that much food myself!" He laughed lightly. Some days he could barely finish a zebra let alone a whole giant animal like a whale. Of course that in part was because he'd get distracted and leave, but Lynn let the minor details stay minor.

"Did you have fun being a rouge?" He asked. "'Cause some day's are fun to me. But then others aren't, you know?" He then awkwardly paused to think back on his previous offer. "Err.. Which way is your pride anyways? Don't want to lead you right into a swamp after all!"

"Thank you," Hiss said with a happy smile. Good, at least she'd have some company for the long walk back. She could only assume she'd gone in the wrong direction to begin with. Hours of going in circles really had paid off, though! Lynn was a very charming fellow.

"It was really good," she agreed as she started to walk again. "There was this weird white stuff before you got to the meat that wasn't so good, but the meat itself was great! Somewhere between fish and meat...ah. I'm really full, but it was worth the stomachache."

She glanced up at the sun again to get her bearings, to make sure they were heading in the right direction, and nodded at the question that followed. "Mm! I wasn't a rouge for long, perhaps a few months, but I liked the whole traveling experience. I do better in prides, though," Hiss admitted, looking sheepishly up at Lynn. "I like being around others, and for a while I was traveling with a group from my old pride to this one, but I got left behind by accident...so...I was alone for a bit. But that's okay, I caught up."

She nodded ahead, grinning as she began to recognize things. "It's this way. And thank you so much for coming with me! I really appreciate the company."

Great! I'll ship her stuff off to you once we're done.

"It's no trouble at all." He told her happily. "I kind of get lonely too, so I'm happy to escort you!"

"Weird white stuff huh? Was it fat? Sometimes fat animals have white stuff in them too before you eat them." It was confusing, what this white stuff was. Lynned decided not to put too much effort into thinking about it. After all it was kind of... gross.

"Ha, I'm sure it is! You won't go hungry for the next few days, that's for sure!" He happily spoke about her stomachache as a good thing. Anything was a good thing to Lynnedslag, it was all about how you looked at it! Pessimistic and optimistic or something along those lines...

"Ah, that must have been horrible, it's a good thing you caught up! Me? I'm good on my own most of the time!" He smiled at her pleasantly. "But I love talking to people too, after all if I didn't I wouldn't have met a pretty lady like yourself!"

"Probably fat...but there was sooooo much of it," Hiss said, making a face. "As thick as my leg! But the whale was really big, so I guess to it it wasn't that much."

As she walked she flushed again, glad for her dark fur to hide it. "You're so nice, Lynnedslag. Oh, you know what, I think if we go in here I can find the way. There's a little paths between the prides..."

And there was a little cave she knew of too, that she wouldn't mind showing the yellow lion. She grinned and nodded, indicating he should follow her. "Come on! I'll show you the beach I like to walk on after."

Lynned laughed loudly. "I guess not huh?" It was funny to think of whales and all their blubber being somewhere between "not so much" and "quite a lot". He wondered if whales even considered such things important. Probably not, they were just big dumb fish anyways.

"Alright." Lynned grinned, pleased that the female was able to find her way, and followed diligently in her paw steps. He hadn't really suspected anything of it, because Lynn didn't suspect things, he did things. He didn't dwell on the future, he lived in the now. Most of the time that was.

His mind still fluttered to the past and his thoughts on the lion who looked like him, and how he was going to go about relocating this mysterious stranger who had upped and vanished? It was a puzzling thing. He was only saved from thinking about his twin lion by the lioness in front of him.

"Walks on the beach? Is that so?" He continued to chat with her as they walked. And finally, despite him not suspecting of the conversation leading anywhere...

Lynned didn't hesitate to compliment her the entire way.
