Personality:
Erika--or as she will sometimes allow to be called, "Jojo"--is your everyday "punk". She wasn't always that way though and she will often put up a front as if to block out her true feelings and her past. Only those close to her will ever get a glimpse of the real Erika. She does have a couple of soft spots but it takes a lot of digging to expose them. Despite her "do, don't think" motto, she tends to be very perceptive and cautious when it comes to dealing with people and having back-up plans. She believes whole-heartedly in brute force when necessary but will always be willing to take the more mindful approach.
When in the face of death, Erika puts her game face on and will do whatever it takes to stay alive. She will keep an eye out for her friends but firmly believes in the idea of "every man for themselves"... Unless they're in deep sh-t. In which case, she will help them as much as she can. She often will refuse help when she needs it because she does not want to admit she is not strong enough. This also goes for any other problem in life as well.
Erika can get very physical when angry. She doesn't exactly know how else to get her anger out if she can't punch a wall or kick something. Despite this, she can be quick to forgive depending on the actions and who they were done by.

Bio:
Erika never knew her father. Her father fled after her mom gave birth to her. Her mother, however, was a doctor. She would travel around, helping the injured and the sick. Most often, the patients she helped would be members of the military. Usually, they would be in the Survey Corps. Erika often got to meet members of the Survey Corps and became fascinated with their titan stories. She met some of the more famous members too and heard their many stories. The indescribable events made her want to experience them first hand. When in training, she was determined to join the Survey Corps. Since then, she's become very fond of the Corps. Titans will fascinate her always. She still remains very close to her mother and her mother is proud of her bravery and courage.
